have ordered from here 5 times and there is always items missing. today i ordered for my whole family thinking we would all eat together, but it meant someone had to sit there and not eat whilst the rest of us ate because they didn't get their meal. was very frustrating. i did get a refund but that's besides the point, its ridiculous. i am aware that mistakes happen, but its not that hard to double check a receipt and make sure all items are in there. will not be ordering from this branch again, and i highly recommend for everyone else to not use this branch also. there are other branches nearby which will provide better food AND include all items paid for!

We recently visited the McDonald’s on Whalebone Lane North, Romford RM6 5QT after its refurbishment. The updated interior is clean and modern, featuring the latest McDonald’s technology, such as self-service kiosks and large flat screens displaying adverts for their newest menu items. However, one noticeable change is the removal of the long shared table with tablets that used to keep children entertained—a loss for families with kids. While the food meets McDonald’s usual standards, the removal of self-service stations for items like ketchup, sugar, and milk is inconvenient. Customers now have to request these at the counter, which can lead to delays and frustrations. The service, unfortunately, is inconsistent. On one visit, a friendly staff member went above and beyond by handing out Halloween coloring materials to children and engaging in warm conversation, creating a welcoming atmosphere. On our visit today however, we had a disappointing experience with a staff member who made a simple request for an extra ketchup packet unnecessarily unpleasant. Her abrupt tone and loud response seemed designed to embarrass rather than assist. Additionally, we observed several customers experiencing issues, including incorrect orders and delays, particularly for drive-through and in-store pickup. The team on duty seemed overwhelmed with managing delivery service orders, which clearly took priority over in-store customers. Even during quieter times, customers can face long waits for their food as staff focus on Deliveroo and Just Eat orders. Another concern is the lack of visible floor staff. Customers needing assistance often have to go to the counter and call out for attention, which detracts from the overall experience. In summary, while the revamped store has its highlights, including its modern features, the focus on delivery services at the expense of in-store customers, inconsistent service quality, and reduced amenities like kids’ entertainment and self-service options are areas that need improvement. McDonald’s should address these issues to ensure a better experience for all customers.

There are alot of staff here who claim to be management. All of which have no competence to resolve issues. Since moving house I have ordered from this branch 5 times and I have never received my correct order. Always missing at least one item. Last time I decided to visit in person and when I made them aware I was missing an item they didn't care. I showed my receipt and was told to take it up with customer service. Massive attitude problem with the management. Luckily romford has many mc donalds so we travel an extra few minutes to one where we get what we pay for and service Is so much better. Please don't waste your time trying to resolve any issues with management here, it's exhausting. You can make a complaint with mc donalds online and they will compensate you.

Fast Food no longer exists, and this branch of McDonalds is very much that. The service is extremely slow, at drive through and when you order within. You have to ring the doorbell when you get to the drive through order point to get someone's attention. The staff look at you with disgust when you ask for sauces (this is a wider McDonalds problem), as if it's coming out of their paycheck. Drinks don't get filled to the top and neither do the fries. Most of the time (not all), the burgers come out burnt. On several occasions pickles were missing. Parking is bad, but I guess it cannot be helped and is the least of their issues. Very poorly run site.

The parking and getting back out of car park was a HUGE problem. Issue caused by motor bikes parked incorrectly on the left as you entered the car park and drive through. Not helped by 2 lanes of drive through. This needs to be resolved. I will not be using this Mcds again because of this. Food took over 10mins to arrive. Poss due to drive through being so busy.

Been waiting 45 minutes for my fast food......it seems being a paying customer who decides to make the effort to come to the store is no longer a priority. You will be better off getting an Uber eats from this place. Food when it eventually came was stone cold. Asked for it to be replaced which it was after another 10 minutes it came out.....cold.... At that point decided McDonald's was not the place to so waste my money and asked for a refund. It took the manger another 15 minutes to do that due to the fact there 7 irate other customers in the store shouting for their food. Mark's Gate, Romford. Consistently mess up delivery orders - not including signature burger... the MAIN ITEM OF THE ORDER - then pass the buck to Uber when they have made mistakes, and cost me the customer time and money returning to the restaurant to get the order corrected. It has happened so many times to me that the trust has been eroded for delivery. Having witnessed personally the messing about of the staff behind the scenes on this most recent debacle, perhaps they should pay better attention to QA instead of treating work like a social event. I was told they aren't even supposed to fix their errors and normally should request a refund through Uber but "as I had come to the restaurant they would do it this time". Unbelievable. I won't mention that using the Mcdonald chatbot was a disaster that failed to recognise my complaint which forced me to return in the first place!

We came tonight and the restaurant was absolutely filthy. People were complaining and yet still no one came out to even check or clean any of the rubbish so others can sit down. The manager not to mention ( I didn’t get her name) is so rude and unprofessional and basically looks like she cannot be bothered to be there and certainly shows it. Atrociously run Mcdonalds with a slew of problems ranging from poor quality of food to egregious wait times. TLDR, avoid this Mcdonalds if you can. While the store is typical of most Mcdonalds found in greater London, albeit quite small, the service provided here is satisfactory at best. Often times you will find a variety of problems when getting food here, the main one being the atrociously long wait times in order to get your food; the drive thru is often packed with queues reaching the entrance of the carpark. And if you think you could avoid this by ordering your food from the store, the staff prioritise drive thru and delivery orders over those made in store; leaving you waiting even longer than in the drive thru during the busy period. The quality of the food here is hit or miss. Often times its decent, however, I have had multiple instances where the food was poorly made, old or burnt. The fries here are particularly bad so avoid ordering them from here. To add to the poor drive thru experience, one of the two ordering kiosks often doesn't work or is occupied by a delivery truck. The former leaving you waiting for nothing while the other lane moves on, and the latter exacerbating the long queue issue. Edit: Still the same problems after 2 years and a renovation. Well done…

Missing quarter pounder with cheese from my so call double burger and double fries deal. Fries are cold. Ordered through McDonald's app and Uber eats won't redwliver, don't care for the quality of your food and only willing to pay £3 for the missing quarter pounder which if I go along to get will have to pay full price for. Went here and don't like using the self service menues as they are full of germs all those prople touching them don't know how clean their hands are swab tests have shown the menus on thes outlets have traces of poo on them 🤮 so as I'm eating my food with my clean hands I went to the counter and asked for an order to be placed I was refused point blank and told I had to use those dirty menus so as I was picking up the food with my hands to eat I left without being able to order. Food is usually fine, most of the time it gets delivered warm. The only issue that keeps reoccurring is that orders are usually missing items. This has happened on multiple occasions, and is really becoming a nuisance. Either the items are not checked before being sent out as its not one item missing, but several. Absolutely disgusting service! This is perhaps the worst McDonald's that I have ever been to. The staff here is very rude and disrespectful. If you have any issues with your order, don't bother going to them because they will completely ignore you and not help. Also, they have consistently forgotten items from my order when I order a delivery or when I have gone through the drive-thru. Mcdonalds...need I say more? When you see those golden arches in the distance as your driving home I know the first thought in my mind is "oh god please don't let the kids see it" and it's usually at that exact moment my eldest offspring takes on the vision of a Hawk, leans forward in his car seat and with rising excitement and delight he makes a noise which imitates feeding time in the seal enclosure. By this point I'm already making the turning signal and moving into the drive through lane to join the que of desperate parents who simply want a moments peace from there children. You approach the speaker which is often manned by a pre pubescent teenager who speaks in a way that imitates English but you still can't understand a word they are saying, the volume is either too low or too high and more often then not they will get your order correct. Once you make your way to the payment window you are greeted by McDonald's finest as you tap your card and smile with a simple nod. At this point the children are jumping around like caged tigers in the back seat ready to pounce on there happy meals. The next window is ofcourse where the food is delivered and the smell of fast food enters the car sending the children into a crazed feeding frenzy. As I pull away I then return to the road a more broken man both financially and emotionally than I was when I entered... 5 stars would order again.

Missing food again, ordered a Mcdelivery and the burger was missing. The mistakes are too frequent and Uber customer service is terrible, a whole meal ruined but I won't even be refunded enough to order the same burger on it's own. Don't waste your time or money here.

Online it’s written 24 hours outlet and we ordered asking the guy over there but later after getting order number they declined our order and stated its only drive through , only people with cars will he given food.. We were very hungry and requested to process the order but the manager lady over there literally asked us to leave without food. Never expected that service from McDonalds. At least should update in google if cant provide food.
