McDonald's in Cheshire East

Maccies is maccies! However, there is one thing that sets this apart from the others, and that's a gentleman called Steve! He's so polite and bizarrely on the rare occasion I have visited he always puts a smile on my face just a genuinely nice guy with fab service standards in a place it's probably easy not to have!

Fries were only warm and seemed like they'd been sitting a while as they tasted soggy. There was no self serve sauce pots so went to ask at counter, was given the packaged ones by guy in grey shirt.I continued to see others go for sauce and was a while before pots were replenished by a lady. I then went for some salt and that was empty too. Just seems a bit lax, if you're refilling the station do everything that's empty.

Someone working there can't count as I paid for 9 chicken nuggets but only got 7. Also my large chips were only half full. Rubbish

I order on the app and normally park up in a bay and have my order brought out to the car. We went through a spell of my order always missing an item, but much better now. However I do get annoyed that people going into the restaurant parking in the bay designated for app orders. I then have use the drive through.

Best McDonald's around staff are always great

The food and service were great but the behaviour of some customers was disgraceful, unfortunately the staff seemed to be used to this and tried to keep them in check.

Fat food not fast food. Incredibly slow service. It was like they had never made a standard menu meal before. Took an age. Unfortunately I will probably go again

Well I had a problem using the app so went in to speak to duty manger in Sandbach (Chris) and we quickly solved the problem… 10/10 For Chris

I ordered on the drive through today and was asked to park in a space. I sat there for 45 minutes with cars receiving orders all around me so eventually I plucked up the courage to ask one of the waitresses where my order was as cars either side of me had been coming and going with orders whilst I was sat there waiting. She informed me there is different timings to things but it would be out when it was ready and she was told to bring it. After the next few journeys of watching more cars receive orders and mine not arrive I went into the store and asked to speak to the manager to which an cold order was placed in front of me asking if it was mine as they couldn’t find the car for it. Bearing in mind I had asked where my order was 10 minutes before going into the restaurant. I asked for a refund and said I wasn’t having cold food and I had somewhere to be. The manager became nasty and very short with me up one issuing the refund she argued with me that I wasn’t entitled to a proof of refund receipt which was the final straw into writing this review as I wasted 1hr of my time (time equals money) to allow McDonald’s to kindly hold my money then give it me back as they were too incompetent to fulfill a simple order

Food is ok but the service is always slow here - like it always always takes 15 mins before anything even when there is barely anyone inside or even the drive thru - it’s supposed to be fast food - when the food does turn up it’s never great just on par - it’s a shame as I quite like a cheeky McDonald’s - I would not recommend!!

Every order is never right. Order to be delivered? Receive a chicken mayo without the chicken… make it make sense?! go to the drive thru? Missing items every time . Worst McDonald’s around it’s run by kids

3 times I've used the drove through and every single time there has been items missing. Won't be using this branch again

Brilliant food as always the service was absolutely brilliant really kind people who work there and the atmosphere is brilliant and also . Happy birthday McDonald's!

Had to wait for almost 10 minutes at the drive through before receiving my meal for one which consisted of lukewarm fries which also appeared to be from poor quality potatoes - lots of black bits. Wasn't offered or given any napkins nor condiments. Overall a disappointing visit 😕

3rd time visit and I had to clean the table again,last week I cleared up someone's split milkshake before someone slipped on it, usually always something missing off the menu, mcflurry,milkshake,hot drinks. Selfself ketchup empty again, no napkins, very poor

The manager is as stuck up as anything and does not care one bit for their staff members I was greeted with a hairy big Mac, fries and a drink that had looked like it had been spat in. Afte I asked for new food age stating what was wrong i was brightly (not very) greeted with a big tray plonked down with a clank on my table.. the food was cold.. the manager clearly can't handle their resteraunt and the corrupt staff members that are inside of it. To add to this absolute Disgrace, Hairs on my fries Hairs on my big Mac Are you for real?? It's only a matter of time before this place gets shut down as it is a health hazard and a rat breeding ground for Our beautiful community Of Sandbach. AVOID and just go and get a CW burger

Ordered from the maccies app, have the food was missing and the other half had coke spilt all over it. Rang and hear the manger being very rude in the back ground. Went down to get refund with heavily pregnant GF and was left waiting nearly half an hour. When asked to speak to the manger she was “in too much of a bad mood” absolutely disgusting service

When you pay for a new special burger ,and besides them labelling it with what you asked for ie the new double big mac with bacon,and you get a single,despite paying for the double BLOODY RIP OFF!!!

For the second time, we have been to store to place an order, been given it in one of the typical bags, got home and found items missing. That was the last visit! My recommendations - avoid.

Breakfast time. Dine in table service was slow. Drive through looked to be running smoothly. Good breakfast though

At first, we went through drive through and we happily ordered our food, our drinks came efficiently when we went to pay but we were told to wait further on at the drive through. We were waiting for our food for at least twenty minutes or more. Eventually, the assistant manager came and gave us the wrong order and only said ‘thanks for waiting’ when we had no choice. As we had been met with inconvenience, we parked in the car park and one of our party went in to get our food. The service was excessively slow and the workers didn’t seem to know what they were doing. After a long 10-15 minutes, we were given a wrong order AGAIN. We realised that the queue had extended a lot longer, for there was a massive hold up when we were waiting. The food was okay but it could’ve been improved, the lettuce in the burger was bitter and unordinary, our drinks began to loose their fizz soon after we got them. Thank you for reading our review, we hope this does not happen again.

So back in may I got food poisoning from a big Mac that I ordered when I complained about it, they mocked me, told me that it was MY fault that I got food poisoning from them and hung up on me. My partner also called them but they said nothing and hung up on her. Bad service and bad food, check your burgers .

Has offers on the billboards like all mcdonalds but this one is giving out blank fries packets, the food lookwarm at best not impressed and never have been for years with this place. The ONLY reason I went there is because the kids wanted a happy meal.

Staff were nice. Even when very busy we didn't have wait too long. Nice atmosphere. Things for the kids to do. A popular place.

Food was a bit rubbish but the front of house service was excellent. The young girl offered my to clean my table and even helped me out when I had issue using the app. Despite the food being subpar compared to the others in the area the service was the best all round.

The restaurant and drive thru are brilliant but DO NOT ORDER THROUGH Uber Eats. They kept pushing back the delivery time, when it arrived the food was freezing cold and they won’t offer any refund because it arrived in ‘a reasonable amount of time from leaving the restaurant.’ Absolute joke.

It's ok as it goes it is what it says on the tin, a "fast food joint" Personally, I found it very cramped and very, very noisy with children climbing up on the tables and being allowed to just run around with food. Young teens sat at tables with no food, just enjoying the free WiFi, I think. Just taking up spaces which paying customers are looking for but can not get. As usual, it was packed, and the wait for food was long. We ate quickly and left.

Lovely service, no matter who serves you at the drive through they always wishes you a good day and enjoy the meal. Rare to find these days.

Just been served by someone who I think was called Steve at the drive through. Give that man a bonus he was polite and courteous far from some of the experiences I've had not naming names (A50 McDonald's roundabout). Well done Steve!!!

Easy to order on the screens provided and not a long wait for the food. Pleasant staff too.

This is probably the worst McDonald's around 😢, orders that are wrong, the time it takes you to get said orders, because your fighting not only the drive through But the people who order for delivery too, not only can McDonald's not cope but also the reason why the orders are wrong, never mind the time scale it takes to get your food, McDonald's historically was popular because of its customer service and speed you can get your food, under 3min, now more like 15min somedays, they're starting to make KFC look good, how bad is that....

Walked in to the restaurant with my partner and 3 year old son, ordered (a fair price these days) and sat down to wait for our food to be brought to the table. Upon getting it, the food was mildly warm at best, I noticed the fries first all the portions were not up to the correct temperature at all when served and I was given some replacements (with some bewildered looks and minor stares from the staff).. back to the table & all of our burgers were cold (again 3..) took these back up and was then questioned with some attitude in tone. Are you sitting in? How long have you been sat down? What number were you? What an absurd way to treat a customer in your restaurant who has come to buy some hot food for their family as a treat. Got given replacements up to there standard I assume (pic attached), at least they were actually hot though. Who would order a cold triple cheeseburger and fries..?? Not impressed. Certainly won’t be returning and will be spreading the word. Haven’t felt like this since I was questioned in the headmaster’s office. Regards.

First time drive in, worked well.

Some restaurants are bit like school canteens unfortunately. I tend to visit restaurants not in the vicinity of schools as I like to not see such litter....

Kids wanted to visit for the winning sips promotion that lasts until mid April. 6th April and our drinks didn’t have the sips promotion. Most other people had the promotion on their cups. Asked an employee why we didn’t get the sips cups and they said we’d have to buy another drink to see if we got a cup with a sticker. Food good, drinks good. Service diabolical, so 1 star.

A whole new take on fast food. To many menu items not available and long waits for every day items like happy meals or standard menu burgers.

Waited 13 minutes after paying for a cheese burger,chicken mayo,fries and a strawberry thick shake, & even then they got my order wrong, resulting in a car behind me getting served before me, the staff were young men, do avoid this place especially if it's after 10pm!.

Recently ordered 6 Big Mac Meals large, all with fries all with coke. Returned to work to find 6 burgers 2 large coke, 4 small coke, and 4 fries (2 large, 2 small). There is not one occasion this branch of McDonalds can adhere to the brand standards. The quality is atrocious. The consistency is at least there as no one checks anything and the food is consistently incredible, cold and wrong. The manager seems to have something in common with a weather forecaster, in that they manage to get their job wrong daily and still not be fired. Once you eventually go back, to complain you are treated with disdain and like you are being an inconvenience. We will never use this awful branch ever again. Finishing on a positive, the only person in there who doesn't seem to get orders wrong is a polite and friendly chap called Steve who always says have a good day now with a slight west country accent. He seems to work morning through til night and is the only reason I haven't complained sooner. He will no doubt leave and enjoy a great career with the Colonel or the BK soon though as he won't stand for this nonsense. I award this branch the worst Mcdonalds in the UK accolade.

The slowest fast food ever. 30 minutes waiting at the counter for a cold big mac meal. The most unorganised McDonald's I've ever been to.

I walked into my local McDonald’s and was greeted with intimidating young adults. One which who I will not name called me a vulgar name which lowered me self worth. One staff members which I believe goes by the name Matthew told me to leave the establishment due to my rugged clothing. I say to you now Matthew u are a BULLY!!!!! And I hope that you are fired I will not let this one slip buster. If you where in my situation would I like to have this done to you I don’t think so.

Ordered Fanta, Fanta tasted like fizzy water, approached Eastern European employee to change my drink, was met with disgusting attitude and poor personal heigine, was reluctant to help me. I'm not sure which country he was from but his manners are not welcome here.

Refused to take cash today from an elderly gentleman who had no card McDonald’s need reminding a law in parliament was passed cash is still available to be used I was disgusted by the staffs response to an elderly man

Ordered bacon and egg muffin breakfast. Bacon was undercooked and egg was overcooked. Also the muffin seemed much smaller than I've had before. Only good thing about this breakfast was the hash brown was fresh and hot.

Service has been terrible on the last two occasions. Missing food from drive through order. Stone cold fries. Had to go back twice to get it resolved..

Ordered 2 Bigmac meals and they forgot the chips for both. I told a worker at the front till called Justin and he refused to give them since my receipt didn't print. I asked him if he could check to see what I ordered and he said he couldn't use the till then he walked away.

Excellent. Out of all the McDonald's, I've been too, by far, the best service and food I've had. Even felt like I was in a proper restaurant with the manager taking 2 seconds out of cleaning to ask if your meal was OK. Little touches.

Very helpful and kind staff. We have a lot of school children in there from the two high schools and the staff are very kind to them, letting them stay there, if they are not busy, when they have finished eating to chat!! Food always good and hot if on the very odd times if it is not to your liking, they do their best to change it without any fuss. What I like about the Sandbach floor staff is that if they see that you are looking lonely they will look after you with a friendly smile and ask if you are ok. Today I was shocked how much my meal came to. An extra two pounds. I wouldn't of minded if the Mcflurry was the same size, but it's definitely alot less ice-cream now 😠 service was bad today in Sandbach 25/09/23 at 8.30pm!! Place nearly empty! Had a takeaway, no straw in bag, and no napkin's. Chips were not even slightly salted. And not over flowing as per usual! Original Coke tasted awful, more like diet!!!! Had to repeat my order as I don't think the young lad was listening!!!! Car's outside pipping there horn's, due to slow service at 9pm!!! Don't know how the VERY NEAR BY neighbours put up with it, in a school night .

Nice quality food and fast service but delivered the wrong shake. Very busy and tables needed wiping which increasingly seems the norm.

Probably better to ask them what they have before you order. Been a couple of times .Very disappointing,always something missing,ice cream machines not working ,sorry no large fries, sorry no salt . Not going again it's a joke .

Three mornings in the past fortnight I have ordered food from the sandbach branch of mcdonald's... Each time it has been Luke warm. I complained via customer services who told. Me they had sent my feedback to the shop and that I would notice a difference upon my next visit. I explained there won't be a next time, three visits is quite enough thank you when your receiving Luke warm food. No apology or refund offered. Disgusting!!

Went for a big tasty via the drive-through but they had run out. I wish they'd said this on the way in on their boards. We had big Macs instead but there was very little big Mac sauce on them. Very pleasant staff but I guess they have supply issues.

The worst McDonald's I've ever been too.... Nothing is ever available, last night all fizzy drinks were unavailable, the Mcflurry's are never available even no big tasty's. Only ended up ordering a coffee, and even that was stone cold!! Allow yourself 5 minutes extra and travel to the Crewe one instead!

Came here to get my free mcflurry, had order medium meal with drink to get it had no ice creams tipickle so went away disappointed this was in afternoon very disappointing..

I've never been so disappointed in a maccies before. Chips were under cooked, burger wasn't to write home about, milkshake wasn't really a milk shake it was more like strawberry milk. Service ? Staff is only seen when calling the number out. Where is the friendliness gone.

Worst drive thru double sausage n egg McMuffin meal I’ve ever had. Cold hash brown and both sausage patties narled and barely warm. Only the coffee was ok. If I hadn’t been stuck in traffic I would have returned them. Awful.

Absolutely shocking for the staff! Some kids come in ,a member of staff said they were banned, manager said it was ok they can come in,they started causing a scene,my son wanted to go as he said he didn't feel safe.

Went in sandbach restaurant today friday round 2pm, ordered and sat down, must have been 25 minutes before my meal came, cold milkshake runny because must have been prepared way before my burger, the restaurant wasn't even busy, being I only get 30mins for my lunch as van is on a tracker, this wasn't a good experience. The lady cleaning the tables was great apart from that sorry two star.

Shocking…they forgot the meal in the happy meal, I phoned and demanded to be refunded or a voucher sent for a replacement another day and we drove all the way there from Middlewich and back, only to be asked “can you come back and get them?” Shocking! Due to their stupid error and not ours at the drive thru! No refund or even an effort to right their wrong

Possibly the slowest McDonald’s in the land… used to be well managed I don’t know what happened! Even when it’s not busy they manage to make you wait 15-20 mins for a basic order. A queue of people with no food whilst the manager slowly stacks ketchup dips in front of everyone as some kind of torture
