Expensive for what you get,better off looking for a greasy spoon place for breakfast

Don't know what's happened to this MacDonald it used to be better than most. Drive through don't place the orders correctly and takes ages to get from the order point to payment kiosk, Front desk is full of couriers massing like seagulls at a feeding frenzy Quality of food has fallen off a cliff. I don't expect much at a maccy D but I do expect food to be served to a better standard than mildly cold. It's a MacDonalds so my expectations aren't high, there are two in Merthyr neither are great,

This isn’t a review on the McDonalds it’s self but just wanted too say how polite happy and helpful one of the staff members ‘ruby” was … even at 8am in the morning with the best of spirits McDonald’s ruby is a credit too your branch best customer service I’ve ever had and have genuinely had worse service in miller and carter Someone give her a pay rise 🤲🏼

Waited ages, food was dry and had a hair in it, would not recommend

Waited over 30 minutes for my order only to find it had been left by the milkshake machine while it was restocked, hence cold fries and burger.and awful crispy onion bits all over my philly cheese stack, my partners didn't have them and I haven't had them before. Strawberry milkshake had no flavour at all and the banana one had melted .

Stood waiting 15mins for a mcflurry that was showing as ready to collect (it wasn't even made), while the younger girls stood round moaning and bitching. Then looked at me like I had 2 heads when I asked if I could please grab it as I'd been waiting ages. She had to go back and look for my order because they'd clearly missed it. Worst franchise going. Reign the attitude in.

Unfortunately this is the second negative review Im leaving on this particular McDonald’s. However Google does not allow you to leave more than one so I am editing the original to add in my new complaint. Today i went through the drive through and ordered a sausage and egg McMuffin, and this is what i was served, a sausage and egg McMuffin where the bun appears to have been half eaten. I wouldn’t like to speculate by what. Photos have been attached. On returning around the drive through there was no interest in what it was. A simple apology and it was tossed in the bin. I’d think with matters like this they would have been keen to report it. 2.Every single time I order more than one meal something is missing EVERY TIME!!! Clearly ordered are not checked thoroughly before leaving store.

Massive wait for order, uninterested staff; needs better management to turn it around.

Made to park up 15 minutes wait they forgot about us served other people before us had to go and ask in the end then to have the food thrown at us won’t go there again

Service was very slow, there were others that had to come inside and complain about not getting their food from a parking bay, plus the drive thru was closed

Visited at 11PM on a Sunday night with barely anyone in the car park and no one in the queue at the drive through (6 vehicles came and went behind us after). Waited nearly 5 minutes for someone to talk over the speaker and then waited 15 minutes at the collection window for a Big Mac meal and McNuggets meal, which elsewhere would have been half the time at most. Big Mac was also very dry.

The worst Mc Donalds in Europe - the staff seem to be yapping away and are extremely unprofessional and inefficient.The man serving was gormless and made a half hearted attempt to announce order numbers and desperately needs to attend s customer care course or find another job less mentally challenging Waited 35 minutes and ended up with cold and undercooked fries. .The floor of the kitchen area was a disgrace full of discarded food and packaging. Next time Wales play in Cardiff I will avoid this hell hole like the plague.

Very slow with orders had over 30 minutes for breakfast order

Much like any other McDonalds. Burgers all standard. Service OK, everyone rushing to get orders out quickly. No atmosphere, you're just there to eat and get out quickly.

Went through the drive through at 8:30 tonight in Cyfarthfa Retail. A young man served me and my girlfriend at the last window. He was very quick and polite, he gave us all three app orders with good enthusiasm. Best service I’ve had a McDonald’s. The kid deserves a raise!

3 items £3 ... It wasn't mentioned the items were child sized portions. Note - eat the apple pie hot. Eating it cold is a BIG mistake - done it once, never again

The person taking our order gave us an extra large coffee, which we didn’t order, so had it refunded. The McCrispy was dry and very spicy, which wasn’t in the details and the chips were cold. All in all not as good as in the past. Oh, and no ice cream (again)

Absolute nightmare. Needs good management and sufficient staff(Rhydycar). There at 10.00 am, place was dirty and chips on the floor - as they don't sell chips at breakfast I assume they were there from the night before. Waited over an hour for food. Someone needs to get a grip.

Very worst service and rude staffs.

Will never go here again only went in for a cheeseburger after 20 minutes seen bags full of orders going out to the delivery drivers and not sorting a simple cheese burger out. After 22 minutes burger was cold. Asked to see manager, and Bly then given food. Will never eat there again

I bought a coffee Latte every day whilst working near this store, just up the motorway. One morning I was given a caramel coffee. I didn't drink it and given the distance from the store I wasn't going to return just for this. I thought, no problem, I will just ask for a replacement the next morning. The following morning the manager said as I didn't have a receipt there's nothing he can do. I explained I haven't had a receipt every day I have had a coffee. I handed him the full cup of incorrect coffee. I told him that's very poor service and I will be making a complaint. I then bought another Latte and left with a bitter taste and a poor start to the day. This is the worst service I have ever received at a mc Donald's and this guy needs some re training in customer service.

Date: 15/08/24, Time 1950 Approximately. I request the lady on white t-shirt to help me with my second order which was chicken-bacon mayonnaise. By the way the first order was chicken-nuggets happy meal for my child. As I don't eat anything during my fasting period. She did come back quickly but unprofessionally without a takeaway bag which I already had paid. Ok! I can forget this. I took the takeaway with my child for my wife as she was waiting infront of M&S. As she opened the takeway she found a half eaten beef piece instead. She was mad as she never excepted this could happen. On the top of that it was someone left-over. Then, I rushed to Mcdonald and spoke to the manager about the problem. Although, Its not his fault nor all the staff are like that. But, due to one or two unhygienic & dirty staff this merthyr tydfil branch is far more wrost then any fast-food business in this entire world. Customers who visit place like this without checking their reviews are potential victims. Friends, family, brother and sisters avoid this place at all cost.

Absolutely awful place, the staff just stand around talking amongst each other. They actually get paid to stand around talking when there is loads of ordered to be done, they treat the delivery drivers like rubbish, there’s always missing food. Managers have attitude problems. Save the journey and cook at home. You won’t get your food in store quick and they ignore the drivers collecting food so your order will be late and cold too, because it’s just sat there, baring in mind drivers ask for the orders 100s of times just to be ignored or snapped at, then get grief from customers too for it being cold! Horrible place.

Ordered through the McDonald app and it’s been a few times now when there is an item bought through points they never received the order and on the app it says cart not found. Most probably order being cancelled there end drove 15 minutes for the order for this to happen Now all points have disappeared off app and it says it was used 14:26

Service can be very slow at times and staff can mess up your order at times too. As for the drive thru is a nightmare, long waiting times, staff on the intercom are slow to take your order. Once you have paid and go to collect your order only to be asked to wait in the bay.

Found hair in my burger and as usual missing items

A horrible experience, all the food on the floor, the employees took a hamburger from the pile and the one you got. The attention is terrible, it's more the girl after waiting an hour the only thing she said was that she was going fast, when it was a lie since she was touching her hair and putting on her cap, the truth is that the ponytail and everything looked very good on her. They have a horrible lack of control, even if you ask them for kepchup or something, they don't give it to you because they don't want to look for it.

Very bad It was a dissaster we had to wait an hour when there wasnt a lot of people on the restaurante and the floor was all dirty

Bit chaotic, constant time alarms going, all kitchen staff pre-occupied with drive in/take away orders. No staff serving, for walk in customers unless manage to attract pre-occupied staff randomly walking through restaurant. Seems to be a common problem that walk in customers are no longer prioritised.

Pure chaos there tonight. Ordered, nugget meal and mc crispy meal with cappuccinos. To be told they haven't got none. Asked have they any hot drinks. They did have, just no mc crispys. got to the window to pay, order was wrong, corrected that, got to the food window. Handed my 2 ice creams. One of those was wrong. Handed my food, to then be told Cappuccino machine not working. What do I want instead. Or refund. Opted for Fanta, was given one large and one medium instead of 2 large. No straws. In the meantime I'm looking through the window where they are filling the coffee beans into the machine and dispensing coffees.... so many drinks and ice creams dispensed ready to be distributed. Looked so unprofessional and badly managed. Training needs to be looked at and management.

Terrible the floor in kitchen/cooking area was covered infood and cartons,no body knew what they were doing total chaos waited over 25 minits for my meal 9 chicken nuggets and 2 dips customers were bringing their meals back,short of food or wrong order ,i will never go there again to cyfathyr park

It's McDonald’s... mostly the food is tasty and hot, but every once in a while, you get lukewarm food.

Never have milkshakes. Last visit had no hattrick, no milkshake, no mcflurry. Shambles of a branch. Park up to meet their targets 9 times out of 10.

Waited over 45 minutes for food and when we got it it was so cold the cheese hadn't even tried to melt , burgers thrown together just a mess when opened box re assembled cold mc plant burger and ate it because I was starving! . Remembered why I don't go to McDonald's! Overpriced food i wouldn't give to my dog !!!

Absolutely fantastic food, it was warm and didn't have to park up. The staff were very helpful as I am new to the App. 🌻 Which I have found the App quite easy now I'm getting used to it. 😊 Coffee was great too. One of the worse McDonald’s to go too, they either park you up and have you wait ages or forget food from your order. Delivery via the app is just as bad too idk yet to receive a full order and it’s virtually impossible to get a refund

Gap filling food for the masses. Mainly used by myself when travelling for coffee. Nowt to do with their food but I have a specific diet they don't really cover.

This must be worst McDonald's franchise. While being very quiet the restaurant was stinking, all the tables had food on them, whilst a fair few of staff we're just chatting around and going out for vapes. There didn't seem to be any senior supervision at 9pm on a weekday. Really not recommend this site

Always a wait for food from the drive through. Getting tedious now. Drinks and Ice cream machinery often broken. Staff are very good and try their best.

Ordered off the McDonald’s app. Only delivered half the order. Staff had no interest what so ever, just said the driver only took half the food. Surely it’s still the staff’s responsibility to check all the food has gone.

So all I wanted was a big mac and medium fries. I don't like any of the drinks as they don't sell proper coke and their orange Fanta is that zero sugar free rubbish. I was amazed to discover that it was CHEAPER to buy a meal that includes a drink rather than just the burger and fries. What a waste.

Rarer than dinosaur eggs and seeing Clark Kent changing into Superman, that's your chances of having the milkshake machine working here. Pathetic major money making company that can't do the basics. Also getting very expensive.

I recently ordered using the drive through, we ordered quarter pounder and chips, and chicken nuggets and 5 chicken selects, we waited 10 mins while they prepared the order, when they arrived they were all the correct boxes, until we got home and open them and discover the chicken selects were cheese balls all whole except one half one. Very disappointed with this serves,

Cold food, 30min wait, but still very nice👌

3 visits. 1st: kid on the till got the order wrong, overcharging by 30% on what I'd ordered. In the end the supervisor put the item, which was on the drive through menu, through as advertised. Then I collected the order, to get 5 miked down the road, half the order missing. 2nd: same order, put through ok. Collected food, again items missing. 3rd: fell asleep at the drive through waiting so long (literally no exaggeration. Pulled round to order as I was fed up waiting, to find the server from visit 1, chatting away, like he wasn't at work. Then I get the filthy look, like I hadn't just been waiting for long enough to fall asleep and then repeat all the issues from the 1st visit. I just gave up. Do not recommend this McDonald's.

I paid for 3 meals and got no fries, constantly having to check my order when I go here and there is always stuff missing.

Ordered through uber eats to begin but order always wrong so visited drive thru and still got a small order wrong totally rubbish don't bother they'll ruin your meal.

Nothing changed since my last review over 20 mins waiting for food to come through but this time only 3 cars ahead of us. service slow waiting to get served in drive through and then had to wait again. for meal to come from kitchens to outside there was 6 cars waiting in front of me.

This was my worst mcdonalds experience I've ever had, and there's been a few! The tables were all covered in rubbish and dirty. The toilet floors and sink were disgusting in the women's and had no soap. My friends son went in the men's and said there was vomit in the urinals and the toilets were stinking so couldn't use them. We ordered food and drinks using the machine only to be told on pick up that there were no hot drinks. And this was early in the morning, so it was not that busy. My friends order took half an hour to sort out. I don't know if they were short staffed, but there was one staff member mopping the floors when the tables we full of rubbish and in need of cleaning for customers to use. Absolute shambles.

Great menu, reasonable Prices, great value for money, for the whole family, love trying different branches of McDonald's xx

Avoid at all costs! We've been here several times and never once had the order made up correctly. They don't seem to be able to read English. Always need to go back and correct their mistakes while the rest of your food goes cold. And the worst part? Never so much as one apology for the inconvenience. Definitely won't be back.

Very dissapointed with the service here. Bins were overflowing, food took a long time to come and trays left on tables. There were no eggs and I wasn't aware of this until I opened my order. I should have been told and offered for another item to be added to replace the missing egg.

Has to be the worst of the McDonald's chain, the food is normally warm at best never hot the service is slow out of last 6 visits 4 has had some of the order missing the store is 24hrs but is always closed on Saturday night at midnight ?

Excellent location and very friendly staff

Everything you would expect from a well run McDonald's. Quick service, all products available. I wouldn't say that parking is plentiful, but we always manage to find a space in the car park.

Can't even make an order correctly

Very happy but the app was a disappointment. After preordering and paying for my food, I got to the location and the app was telling me McDonald's was closed. They located my order but I then had to wait in a parking bay. Hope this doesnt keep happening

Waited so long for out food we didn't enjoy it at all, the queue at the counter was growing by the minute as they prioritised the just eat orders, the inly thing good about the place was the cleaning lady who helped us no end

Food was the hottest in temperature I've ever experienced in a maccies. Bravo. Even though it was peak time (About 12:30) it was busy but didn't seem to be long queues, very efficient.

Appalling service from a kitchen run by children, ALWAYS have issues when you order, either missing items, cold food, wrong portion sizes and don't even bother ordering dips, because you won't see them. To me it's theft, you pay them your hard earned money and they just give you scraps. Will never ever eat from the cyfarthfa branch again, but I dare say, most branches are probably the same. They earn way too much money to care about their customer service, they can pretend they care, but they don't really. Hang your heads in shame!

I don't recommend getting a McFlurry at this McDonald's as they took long to deliver to my table and some of the McFlurry melted

While rather busy, food service was quick and efficient. As with all McDonalds restaurants, it’s the same everywhere. Thankfully, this place has been kept clean and tidy. All facilities are up to a high standard and the staff are friendly and helpful. Easily a good choice for a refreshing meal after climbing one of the local mountains!

Stinking dirty every where. Stunk of piss. A security guard on the door in a McDonald's says it all. Behind the counter wasn't much better. Load of youngsters looking like they'd rather be anywhere else. Theres always the obligatory wrong order queue thats usually longer than the actual food queue. In conclusion a total smelly dump pedaling filth to youngsters making them as unhealthy as possible in the process. 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Always asked to park round the sound at the drive through where there are only 2 bays and usually 4 cars already round there,god help anyone who tries to attend this place when it's busy
