I wish I could give Lee Garden less stars. Awful food, over an hour late.

Got my order wrong , then told me it was my fault , avoid at all costs will not use again

They delivered to us on the beach, the food was delicious. The driver was very quick.

Never in my life have a been to a Chinese and got served oven chips and a Asda sausage and worst of all been charged for it absolutely disgusting food even the cat shat itself , should be shut down , the girl behind the counter at least offered a refund she even sounded like she’d had enough

I ordered from here and called up to make sure the food was coming he said he was on his way so I waited couple mins he never arrived called again said he’s 10 mins away and so on so on then then he went the wrong address so I had to go to him then he wasn’t there I will not understand why these people hire people who do not speak English one bit I did not understand him on the phone at all he just spoke Chinese then he came like 40 mins later food was still hot but box was soggy basically ripping apart food was soggy waste of time and money

I ordered a pie dinner and asked for a meat and potato pie, I ended up with a steak pie, there was Bearley any meat and the pastry crust was as hard as rock, the chips we're uncooked, the peas were like bullets, there was hardly any gravy, it was the worst chippy meal I have ever had, I will never go there again, if I had to give marks out of 10, I would give minus 100.

ordered through just eat, arrived on time, but food was totally inedible, soup was mush, spring rolls wet and soggy, rice was dark brown, main was just mush, so disappointed, none of the meal was edible , did phone takeaway but told me to contact just eat

Ordered a S&P munchy box for myself and partner. It arrived 90 minutes later, box falling apart, lacked any real flavour, some part of the portion was cold. Called to ask for a refund and was offered a new one, partner is pregnant and been put off the food completely. I offered to let the driver collect the food for a full refund and didn’t want a new one making. They refused to let us have a refund but said they’ll come collect it and we can ask Uber for a refund, don’t really trust them to keep up their end. Paid extra for soup and prawn crackers, soup was really lacking any taste and was full of water chestnuts to bulk it out and make it look a larger portion. Really disappointing, would not recommend ever to anyone. Customer service absolutely shocking. STAY AWAY

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Food was horrendous. Absolutely 0 taste to any of it and had to put it all in the bin. Called to request a refund and was told I wouldn’t be getting one. Will never order here again. Awful food. Awful customer service.

Ordered a delivery from here last night. Food was 40mins late and food missing from the order. Phoned up, was told they’d send the missing food back out but didn’t!!

Today I ordered a Steak & Kidney pie dinner when it arrived the pie was rock solid and had no filling. I phoned the chippy up and they said there was nothing they could do about it. What a terrible place will not be returning.

Don't go to this place, just had the food delivered, and the delivery guy said he couldn't come up the stairs because he has covid 19, so we haven't eaten our food. Phoned up and the delivery guy said that's what we say to everyone and that he hasn't really got covid 19, how are we supposed to know that? Disgusting attitude on the phone and not ordering again, would advise you not to order. How are we supposed to know if he has covid 19 or not, and we have kids as well, not on at all. Even his mrs said he was ill, then he had the nerve to say come down to the takeaway shop and me and you will sort this out threnting me. Not happy at all

Placed order on website - said accepted. Went to collect and shop closed. Website said open, google says open… even took and confirmed order… bad business

Would give zero the worse chip shop around waited 1hr 20 mins for cold tastless food and then told to bring food back myself or pay driver another 2 pounds to collect then hung up on me stay well clear disgrace .

Not much flavour and quite expensive for what it is. Definitely better options available

They can't cope with busy nights sadly get orders wrong the woman on front desk looks like she's needs a holiday due to stress the only good thing I can say about here is the delivery guy is friendly and lovely but food and service is obismal they can't even get chips and sausage right no gravy get home after waiting ages for it for it to have gravy on a very simple thing surely....

Food was great! Me andy friend missed a meal off the order and called the restaurant to sort out the other meal and they were more than happy to help. Went out of the way to ensure we got good customer service. Staff are pleasant and polite would recommend.

Ive ordered from here a few times. The times Ive ordered from uber are not usually as good so I started ordering direct from shop. I never really write a review but I thought the quality and level of service deserves the praise. The food is fresh and the taste is fantastic. The order is usually quicker than the hour. All good in my book. Usually order online so not spoken to shop itself but I think if somebody's complaint is they're thick that says more about them.

Update again: collected order. Go home. Wrong type of spring roll. Was kept on hold for 3 minutes when calling and asked to bring the wrong ones back! Confused by the sheer audacity I did and when I get there they charge me more for the right spring rolls. Despite having no customer service skills and the error being their end. Rest of food was cold by the time I got home. Definitely giving this one a miss now on. Update: orders usually wrong. Difficult to order/hard work to call. Satay skewers put us off for a few weeks but returned for the big box deal as it’s great idea. Food usually good but every now and then get a funny tasting dish. Great food. Chips arent the greasy chippy chips you love with a chinese takeaway but still lovely.

We eat from here almost weekly and always have a nice meal. I ordered special chilli and garlic with fried rice and all meat was deep fried and crispy (uneadable and the taste unrecognisable) it does not state crispy on the menu, I called for an explanation and was told I should of asked how meat was cooked!!! This place used to be great, some food was okay, we got the special box which was okay but not worth the money. Do not get the duck rolls; firstly it says you get 10 but we only got 5, yet that wasn't necessarily a bad thing as I can only describe the stuff inside as mush, something that resembled paste, inedible.

Great special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Tasty spring rolls and lovely sweet chilli sauce. Collected

Was one of the worst foods I ever had call to complain and the thick as two short planks girl on end of phone pretending I ordered from the birkenhead shop lol only speaking to the same girl to place my order . Sorry spend your money eals where guys

Good food, not the cheapest but it's always a nice Chinese so it's worth it.

Chips were dry and cold the salt and pepper balls were just chicken in batter no seasoning the chrispy beef was like soggy rats tails and the onions where like toenail clippings

Buyer Beware!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My daughter ordered food for us on Friday at 8.15pm. At 9.47pm we were still waiting for the order which had still not arrived so she called them back to enquire. Guess what? Like other reviewers have mentioned she was told the food was out with the driver. At 10.15pm she called them back and told them to cancel the order as it had been two hours and still no food had turned up. To warn other people considering taking a chance with this establishment they processed the order through foodhub. An English male at Lee Garden said he had spoken to the owners and they said put in a refund claim with foodhub and Lee Garden would accept it. More lies, they didn't. So a complaint was made to foodhub who said they would look into it and offered a £3 voucher, which was a quarter of the order value which had not been refunded. No food and no money back. Foodhubs procedure for "looking into it" consisted of a call to Lee Garden and ask them what had happened. Lee Garden lied again and said the food had been delivered. Now we have a video doorbell so can definitely say the food was not delivered. Either Lee Garden are telling lies, the delivery driver is telling lies or they are both telling lies. Either way they certainly can not be trusted with your money or your food.

I ordered from Uber eats , the food arrived and was missing a few items. Called the shop and was told to ring back when I ordering again . I will NOT be ordering again the food was so bad , unfit to eat . Chips rock hard Chicken balls greasy and over cooked Crispy won ton burnt and had a sponge taste to it Young chow fried rice hardly any meat 2 prawns and very greasy. I do not understand how that have a 5 star food and hygiene . Find somewhere else as this place needs shutting down .

Quite possibly the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. 1hr 40 minute wait for it. Rang after 80 minutes, they said it was on its way. The boss was bringing it. A complete waste of 38 quid. We have ordered from here a number of times, last time it wasn't brilliant an took 2 hours but thought give them another chance as previously food was good. Big mistake. The prawn toast was wet and soggy. The duck rolls were also wet, but added vileness of them being mushy as well. Seaweed was soggy. The bbq ribs were overcooked and incredibly dry. Wan ton soup was greasy and salty, meat that was supposed to be inside the wanton was not inside but just floating on the top in the grease. Rang to complain, after hearing them argue in the back ground, she come back to the phone to say on our next order they will give us some free noodles and a bottle of pop. We said no, we literally have wasted 38 quid as we can't eat it, she then come back again and said they will also add salt an pepper chicken to the order. What a complete waste of space, told then we will never order from there again.

Waited over 2:5 hours for delivery and if you ring to ask where your order is ,they say it's out with driver yet 50 minutes later when food arrives it's still hot ??? Which I think is unfair on drivers as they are the ones who take the brunt of it. half of order missing, chicken was still pink in the middle and only wanted to offer 15./. Discount on next order which won't get used as won't order from there again point blank refused to even part refund

In my opinion among the best Chinese takeaways in the area. Chips have always been great, properly cooked and drained. I've not tried a lot of dishes but had consistently good scran.

Food was supposedly a salt n pepper box (B). Just re-heated rubbish that went in the bin, We also ordered an additional meal, and that was just as bad. Just terrible.

This is probably my first positive takeaway review on Google. For the most part all Chinese takeaways taste the same. This place however took it out the park. Its rare that everyone in my family enjoys their meals but you seem to have cracked it. Literally cannot fault anything I ordered. Delivery was a little slow but food arrived hot nonetheless.

Food was very greasy! Got the salt and pepper munch box and it almost fell out the bottom it was all shoved together and turned into a soggy greasy mess we also ordered cod and chips and the cod tasted funny and had a soggy flour under the better peas and chips like cardboard. Food not eaten and now cooking!

We've had a few takeaways from here. Always delicious. Really tasty. Big box menu is fab. Great variety on menu. Delivery on time. Very friendly. Cannot complain at all.

Disappointed. Was told 30 minutes for collection. Went to collect 30 minutes later to be waiting nearly another 30 minutes for my order. When checking the order at home no hoi sin sauce with crispy duck, no king prawns in special fried rice. Just very disappointed. This chinese used to be amazing

Ordered a family tea from here today, had various items ...all of us were very impressed, everything was really nice.. sui mai, crispy spring rolls, cantonese style chicken, fried rice, chips ( crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside) soft noodles ( thin noodles with pieces of vegetables in). Pineapple fritters with syrup. Would order from them again. Was told delivery would be 45 to 60 mins but it actually arrived in 30 minutes. Great service!

We ordered two small salt and pepper munchie boxes... one would of been enough because the quantity of food is so so generous, not to mention the quality. Chicken was lovely and moist, chips were cooked to perfection and the side of noodles were nicer than any other I’ve had... delivery driver was lovely and polite, as was the woman who took my order! Will definitely be returning! x

I had the salt and pepper munchy box last night I asked for not loads of salt as everyone I get from other chippys is covered in way too much and they always go cold . Omg it was the best I've tasted so good not over salted not covered in dry chilli . I believe it's a new owner only just took over . Worth a try defo recommend the munchy box for 12 90 I got loads in it and it stayed hot in the box. Not like ones u get in a trayI was so happy eating it

always early or on time when ordering. Food it always hot and fresh with lovely staff in store and delivering the food! We had it delivered and a lovely young lady drop it to our door, with a lovely pleasant personality and Full of smiles!

Don't order on weekends. Order made at 7.15, was told would be one hour. Called at 8.30 to check where it was. Was told food was ready, just waiting for the driver to come back. Called again at 9 as it still hadnt arrived but told it has left. Waited till 9.20 and decided we would just cancel the food as it was ready at 8.30 but still not here so doubt the quality would've been good. Was told probably shouldn't order on weekends if we can't wait which was a bit rude. Shouldn't give an hours estimate if it's looking busy. Would happily have picked it up myself if a more accurate delivery time was quoted.

Ordered for from there tonight was vile. Chips looked like they were days old and been refried, batter on the chicken balls were just sloppy and uncooked, wings were dead greasy. Contacted them and were not bothered at all. Won't be ordering from there again If you haven't read the reviews on just it you have only got to read the replies from them to see the do not give a damb about the quality of their and tell the customer its their fault. For not liking it. Dissapointed that just eat do not keep an eye on these things and let them continue to use their platform

"Horrendous" experience,after ordering crispy beef salt and pepper and also salt and pepper chicken strips,which were not just crisp,but devoid of hardly any beef or chicken they were just batter strips!,it took almost 1 hour and 20 minutes to deliver.and the ladies reply to this was ."some people are having to wait " 2x HOURS.!...wow...what a silly retort!. we went back to the shop immediately to show food contents to her and.she promptly ignored us every single time the phone went to take another order and even took a complaint as to why someone else's food was taking so long.she deliberated for about 5 seconds and immediately said I CAN DO NOTHING FOR YOU....I was fuming and said we DO NOT want a full refund of £39.00..only the £17.00 for the items complained about,she then said AGAIN ...I AM DOING NOTHING FOR YOU,and did'nt!.......avoid....LEE GARDEN seaview road wallasey!

Check your delivery at the door, because they won't believe you if items are missing .Food good, drivers lovely management need some customer service training.

Ordered a family order for 7 adults..The ribs.. If you can call them that were £6 and went straight in the bin.. The soup looked like it had been made with dirty dish water..Rang them to asked about the ribs.. And there answer was "have you had are ribs before? That's how we do ribs" ended up calling just eat who then had to claim back a refund on the ribs.. But all the food was not even 1*The chicken in the soup was hard an processed..Totally ruined my mums Bday tea!

5 star hygiene rating, reasonable prices and top quality food. This is definitely more of a Chinese takeout though than a chippy. Best Chinese around but wouldn't go there for a sausage dinner! Open Sunday's too unlike others

This time we made a meal largely of starters. Excellent peppery hot and sour soup, tasty Peking ribs, spicy skewered chicken satay and a variety of prawn dishes: salt and pepper, butterfly and tempura, all impressively cooked - well above average takeaway standard. All rounded off with fruity Cantonese duck and a pork curry, both fine.

Absolutely shocking service. We have waited an hour and a half for food to arrive. When we called Lee Garden to ask where our order was the member of staff we spoke to was incredibly rude and dismissive. Very unhelpful. Will not be ordering from here again.

Had a selection of food from soup to main meals. It was our first time of trying Lee Garden. Generally most dishes were good including hot&soup, crispy shredded chilli beef, beef & mushroom, salt & pepper chicken which was overall quite nice. The dishes that really lacked was special fried rice, chicken foo yung, bag of chips. Portions are smaller than normal but would order again in the future

This occupies the premises previously known as the Hot Wok - new management and chefs. The unusually enterprising list of takeaway dishes took our eye, and we were well rewarded. Hot and sour soup a familiar item, of course, substantial and spicy here. Yuk sung very flavoursome, likewise the salt and chilli ribs. Main courses satisfying too - generous Cantonese duck, tasty chilli basil chicken. Siu hon king prawn not quite as spicy as the three chilli rating on the menu suggests, but very tangy all the same. We'll certainly revisit. Note - it's cash only.

Wow!! Good price for great food in liscard . New management plus the renovation are clean. Superb!! Love the salt n pepper chicken balls.
