Lovely theatre with fabulous shows & good service. Ladies toilet facilities are the biggest problem. We were directed to the men's toilets in desperation as queues for the ladies were lengthy. Limited choice of over-priced ice cream but enjoyed what I ordered. It would be an improvement to have ice cream from local suppliers or farms that I see at theatres in Bournemouth & Poole areas.

Mayflower Theatre is very good and we are lucky to have it but beware parking in West Park MCSP for a show. It can take a very long time to exit the car park after the show unless you have parked your car near the exit on the ground floor or first floor. Parked on the ground floor today - much better - great theatre - and Pretty Woman the musical was awesome!!

I've been to the Mayflower several times but last week I experienced the accessibility side with my Niece. The entrance is to the right of the front of the theatre as you look at it. Just inside, you can buy programmes and there is a large accessible toilet and waiting seats also. To get to our tiered stall seats we went along the inside landing and then my Niece's walker was taken back to the accessible area out of the way for us. Only thing that would be nice is to be able to order drinks and/merch to our seats, because those areas cannot be reached by slopes instead of steps. Great show, SIX, and a potentially difficult trip made so much easier by the theatre and it's staff.

We went to see Six which was a great show and where we were in the stalls was fine for leg room. The theatre as a while was fine and quite ornate inside so nice to look at before the shoe started. They seem to attract good touring shows so we will certainly be going again soon. I noted in other reviews that the nearby car park can get gridlocked when shows finish so we parked at West Quay which was only a short walk away and a flat rate of two quid after 1730. That still gave time for something to eat beforehand and straight out after the show finished.

This is a lovely theatre inside. We visited to watch Six which was amazing and a must see. However I was really disappointed with the seating. We were sat in row D of the balcony and the view was amazing but the experience was spoilt by how uncomfortable the seats were. There was zero legroom. I couldn’t put my feet flat on the floor and have bruises on my shins from the seat in front and my knees were almost touching the person in front. At 5’6” I’m not tall either. Not sure if I would visit again

Absolutely incredible! My wife and I recently attended "Six the Musical" at Southampton's Mayflower Theatre, and it was an unforgettable experience. The energy, talent, and sheer brilliance of the cast were phenomenal. Each queen brought her own unique flair and personality, captivating the audience from start to finish. The music was catchy and powerful, and the choreography was spot-on. The production was polished and vibrant, making it impossible not to get swept up in the excitement. If you have the chance to see "Six," do not miss it! A must-see performance that we would gladly watch again and again. Five stars all the way!

Nice theatre but I found it lacking in leg room and I'm not very tall. Also we arrived on motorbikes and there is no cloakroom to leave helmets etc. We were lucky because someone offered to look after ours for us otherwise we would have had to put them by our already cramped feet. We had a great view of the show from the dress circle and actually preferred seating there rather than the stalls. It's such a beautiful theatre. Staff are amazing! I book shows here every year, normally between 2 - 3 times myself and my partner will come here to watch a show. We absolutely love how the theatre is set out and the fact that it runs with Southampton being nautical. They have a range of drinks available in their bars and also some sweet snacks in the main foyer. You can also purchase merchandise for the show you are watching, such as programmes. We tend to sit in the stalls or dress circle and always have an excellent view from our seats. If you're unsure of where to book your seats, there is a site in which people upload photos of their view for this theatre. ( aviewfrommyseat.co.uk ) It's approximately 5 minutes away from the train station - walking and close by to the centre where you can grab a bite to eat before or after the show. There is a bar right next door, which is perfect for your pre-show drinks! Clean, well-kept, and reasonable pricing tickets. There is a variety of shows to watch so there's something for everyone!!

Laura Pick as Elphaba was brilliant with the biggest applause ever with her 1st solo scene/song. Amazing. Sarah O'Connor, as Glinda, was just as good. For them, I'd have given a 5 star, but this review is about Mayflower Theatre, not the show Wicked. I'm 6'2" and not exactly small, so I know to expect some discomfort in places like this, but my god, the seats are small and very uncomfortable. People all around us were complaining about being uncomfortable. At £79.50 a seat, I would expect to have some leg room and be comfortable. It was that bad, I was completely distracted from the actual performance. Although the show was great, the actual words in the songs were mostly indistinguishable. I had no idea what was being said. I will also add that although I paid £238.50 for 3 seats, my daughter was not able to come as her netball team organised a weekend away on a tournament well after booking. Although months in advance of this show, this theatre does not offer refunds for this reason. I find that shocking and extremely poor. I'll not be returning. As for these big shows like Wicked, the UK doesn't end at Bristol or Southampton. Theatre Royal Plymouth is an amazing venue, descent parking and facilities, and the seats are way less expensive and more comfortable.
