What on earth has happened to the gents toilets. I appreciate that ladies have been suffering queues forever, but the gents -- quite a comedy with the doors opening and closing into each other -- surely this change has significantly increased the likelihood of disease transfer, including COVID-19 Theatre seating is always an issue if you have knee issues, but you can try and book the limited rows with more legroom. I enjoyed seeing Jules Holland, but we had to stand at the back as our knees were aching.

The Mayflower has a rather "weathered" look inside and out, getting all a bit faded. The staff working there are amazing and helpful and need to be thanks to the lack of signposting around the theatre to find your area and seat. Bar areas are popular, busy and expensive especially if you opt for the VIP experience while very nice indeed is costly at £25 a head for a drink and some cakes and an ice cream ! We found the seating very worn, cramped and excruciatingly uncomfortable for an arthritis sufferer so be warned. Be aware that upper levels are very steep with hundreds of steps but do of course offer a great view of the stage. There is a lift but takes only 4 at a time. Sound quality is superb even with a live band as is the lighting etc. Would certainly go again but would be very careful about which seats I booked for comforts sake.

Just been to see the amazing musical '& Juliet'. Fantastic show. The Mayflower Theatre is my favourite Theatre, always lovely and clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere every time with every different show. This occasion I had 'lost' my tickets on my phone (am a technophobe) they very quickly found them on their system and printed me a copy ensuring I didn't miss a thing. Already booked on for another show next year.

Venue was lovely and comfortable. Some staff we encountered quite rude. We showed tickets at the door but then had an issue with tickets loading inside due to no phone service and no WiFi. Rude staff member just kept telling us we couldn't go in without showing her our ticket. I regularly attend theatres and have never had this issue before anywhere else. We have shown our ticket to get entry & if you are going to accept digital tickets and insist on them being showed throughout the venue you need to provide access to the Internet to be able to do so. Such a shame because the show was great but things like this spoil an evening and put you off revisiting

The theatre is in a great location, not far from , shops , restaurants and bars, so you can make a day of it. The staff are very nice and helpful and every thing is well organised. The seats are uncomfortable and their isn’t much leg room , the price of drinks and ice cream is to expensive, but we had a good evening watching sarah millican.

First time in this splendid theatre which is most beautifully decorated. Classic layout with stalls and 2 levels of circle and even side boxes. No queues at interval time butchered seems to be plenty of bars and toilets. Only minor complaint is that I didn't have enough knee room however view was good. Also the sound for the show I saw was a bit disjointed from the performers but I suspect this was just that particular setup

We came to see '&Juliet' yesterday. It was a shame that the volume was so loud it was distorted so it was impossible to hear most of the words. My neighbour's smart watch kept telling her to move to a quieter area to preserve her hearing and I spent a lot of time with my fingers in my ears for the second half.

I'm an older woman with mobility problems. The theatre was easy to enter and check in. Lifts were easy to find and use, also the seats were easily accessible (upper circle). Toilets too were accessible. My main problem was finding a drink, other than water, during the intermission. I was lucky that my daughter -in -law accompanied me,so I had no need to find a drink for myself. I don't like water, all I wanted was a still squash. This proved to be a problem. Amy,bless her, finally found me a fruit shoot. My only other problem was the lack of blue badge parking. So,take your own refreshment, get dropped off and picked up from the entrance, and the rest is a breeze.

Went too see 101 Dalmations. Lovely theatre, you can see the history in the building, lovely seating which gave us a great view towards the stage, comfortable too with binoculars for a quid. Staff were friendly and welcoming, ever so helpful too. Didn't use the bar but seemed busy. This theatre reminded me of the ones in London, nothing dissimilar. Easy to get in once through and plenty of space to get to where you need to be. Great lighting, stage and sound. Car park within a 5 minute walk but going by train next time as Southampton is really dreadful to drive in plus numerous traffic lights with extra long waiting times, confusing exits and queues queues queue. Theatre is lovely though and happily I would go again.

Went to see Sarah Millican last night. Brilliant. She has a great way of drawing people in with a familiar subject and just when you think that's it, she fires a follow up usually something that makes you go eww. Toilet humour at its finest, but because it's Millican she keeps that innocent air about her , even when she's being disgusting and talking about pubes, periods and literally anything in between. Seeing John Bishop soon, really looking forward to that too.
