Just watched Hamilton and it was fantastic, one of the best theatre experiences ive had. The only reason this is a 4 instead of a 5 is because the toilets (at least the ones in the balcony) were not in a condition i consider acceptable.

Bit dated. The stage is very darkly lit and difficult to view from the balcony. Lots of steps and lifts not working. There were some disabled people who'd struggled to get up the stairs. Uncomfortable seats. On a positive, the show was great

Really nice venue. If you're driving, a bit of advice: don't use the car park immediately behind near the station. It gets really jam packed when leaving after the show because everyone wants to do the same and the lights outside cause a problem. We might try parking and walking next time.

Tonight myself and my husband came to watch the only.fools.and horses musical 8.3.25 which we had been looking forward to as my Husband is a huge only fools and horse fan We were seated in the Balcony section seats K8 & K9. We cannot belive how compacted these seats are. Neither of us are all or overweight but we both felt extrenly costraphobic and uncomfortable due to the lack of.room. What did not help was the fact if was beyond hot in there to the point my husband felt faint and I was sweating . Due to these factors we were left with no choice but to leave at the interval. We were not the only ones in this posistion as we witnessed others also walking to there cars for what we can only assume are due to similar experience of ours. We have been to many musicals and shows before and this is by far the worst experience we have had. What makes this worst for us personally is this was the first time we have been out as a Couple in a year and a half since our youngest Child was born, what was meant to be a nice evening out has now Been ruined.

Visited here yesterday to see our friend Sam Lupton star in the production of televisions Only Fools And Horses. Wow. What a wonderful theatre, steeped in history, and the show was also outstanding, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. The theatre staff were all superb - friendly, helpful and professional. Theatre is as important today as it’s always been. Please do go and see a show here if you get the chance, you won’t regret it as it is a wonderful experience.

Lovely theatre, hosting some fantastic performances, both touring shows and local ones. Most recently I was here to watch Murder on the Orient Express, which was amazing. The seats are comfortable and have room for long legs and the prices for drinks and snacks are most reasonable. Only comment is that it gets quite hot in the theatre so bring layers you can take off.

About Ghost Musical The musical Ghost is a spectacular adaptation of the classic 90s film, successfully bringing all the emotion and magic of the original story to the stage. One of the production's greatest highlights is the special effects, which amaze the audience by bringing iconic scenes to life, such as ghosts passing through walls. The set design also deserves high praise, as it is dynamic and well-planned, allowing for quick scene changes without compromising the flow of the narrative. The transition between scenes happens naturally and harmoniously, providing complete immersion in the plot. Furthermore, the engaging soundtrack enhances the emotional atmosphere of the show, making each moment even more remarkable. The actors' performances are another strong point of the production. The lead couple has convincing chemistry, making the audience connect with and be moved by their story. Special mention should also be made of the supporting characters, who bring energy and humor to the show, ensuring a balance between drama and good laughs. The adaptation of the story for the theater was done intelligently. The scenes were well-adjusted for the stage. However, one negative aspect worth mentioning is the portrayal of the main character's murderer as Latin American. This detail may reinforce negative stereotypes and fuel prejudice against immigrants, which is an unfortunate choice in a society that already faces challenges related to discrimination. Despite this drawback, Ghost is an emotional and technically impressive musical that is well worth watching.

Great production of Cinderella by BRB but unimpressed by the theatre management. Visitors arriving 15-30 minutes late being guided to their seats, causing major disruption. This is despite there being vacant seats which wouldn't have caused disruption. Also other instances of poor management and staff training.

We visit the Mayflower quite regularly and always have a good time. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Do always give yourself plenty of time before the shows as it can get busy if you want to buy merchandise and visit the toilets. The pictures are from a most recent visit when we had seats in Box A. The view was a little restricted but didn't affect the show and having more leg room and chairs more than made up for it. We have sat in many places and this was one of our favourites especially for my partner who is tall..

Last night’s show Eternal Love by Steve Steinman was absolutely incredible!! An original musical written by Steve, the music was powerful and gave me goosebumps. I was lucky enough to have front row seats so was immersed in the show. The live band was incredible and the girls sang and danced with such feeling. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton is truly a gem! I recently attended a performance here, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The venue is spacious, well-maintained, and has a charming vintage feel that adds to the overall atmosphere. The seating arrangement offers great views of the stage, even from the upper tiers, and the acoustics are superb. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The facilities were clean and well-organised. The location is also very convenient, with nearby parking and excellent transport links. There were several rows of seats we could use, all with great visibility to the stage and in the stalls on the ground floor. We loved the panto! Great effects, subtle innuendos and the actors appeared to be having a great time! Silly Simon particularly played an amazing part and bought humour and nonsense to the show. We saw this year's pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk last week and were almost blown away by the sound. Very sadly, the sound for much of the show was way too loud, verging sometimes on the threshold of pain. The show began with an ear-splitting crash of thunder and continued with so much volume that dialogue was frequently lost. The musical numbers similarly failed with inadequate balance between orchestra and singers, again losing lyrics against too much level on the orchestra. Finally, the production itself was as good as the script would allow in Act 1 but Act 2 was a waste of time - virtually filled with fill-ins. Sorry, but next year please get a sound engineer who can set a reasonable level.

Absolutely appalled with Mayflower theatre. Paid extra for ticket protection. Unable to attend show due to my Mum having recently been discharged from hospital. Sent evidence of hospital letter etc however they said wasn't good enough and wanted us to pay £40 for a G.P note. This would have left us considerably out of pockets against our ticket price when they have the hospital notes etc. Theatre is basically stealing people's money not refunding tickets when people are sick and unable to attend.
