Mayflower Ellesmere Port in Cheshire West and Chester

First time trying, walked in and they were stood in the window looking out and laughing at something. Ordered salt and pepper chips. Whilst waiting the chef came out to show another guy something to do with football on his phone. Got them home and they weren’t cooked. 2 slices of green pepper and very little onion, for a large portion. Called up to ask for a refund, no apology, just said bring the full portion back and they would refund. Brought them back, and he checked the portion before agreeing to refund me, again no apology, just said are you okay with cash? Would never return based on this experience

This Chinese takeaway is the best in the area in my opinion. Never had a bad meal yet

they forgot the prawn crackers but everything else was 10/10

This was a lovely meal, the salt and pepper chicken was so tasty……sometimes it’s a bit hit and miss but that was juicy chicken, crispy on the outside plenty of flavour and garnish. Chips would have benefited from a little bit longer in the fryer to be perfect but we’re still the best we’ve had in ages. I don’t get Chinese often because I am disappointed when it doesn’t live up to what I’m craving but this one did! Everything was so fresh and full of flavour thank you xxx

Food was ok but it was sooooo cold, I ordered at 19:30 and received at 21:15, when I ordered it said it would be between 40-55mins!

It was nearly 45mins since the app showed our order was being delivered and it actually arriving.

I made a mistake with my order and they happily changed it to my desired order which was chicken fried rice instead of the prawn fried rice I ordered by mistake, not minding the fault was from me. I’m very happy with their services.

Everything was amazing as always. However the hot soup is the absolute BEST what I ever ate. It was so tasty and hot enough to cure a bit of my cold. We will continue ordering from here as we always have great experiences. Thanks guys. And thanks for the cookies

Ordered crispy chicken balls they should call them spongey batter balls. Cost £10 with noodles. By the time I had removed all the uncooked batter it looked like a pile of uncooked donuts. Waste of money straight in the bin.

meals turned up with no rice that had been added to the order, called immediately spoke to very unresponsive person who told me eventually that it will be sent straight back out called back 20 minutes later to be told it's on its way a further 15 minutes later called again asked for refund or replacement meal or refund as the half we did have is stone cold and unbelievably they hung up the phone. Never again.......avoid this place like the plague. £8.50 in the bin thanks mayflower!!!!!

The Salt and Pepper box for £18 is not ediable saturated in grease and to salty. Do not waste your money on it.

The chips were awful - tasted like undercooked frozen chips. The chicken wings were terrible, but the chicken sweet and sour balls were nice. unfortunately won't be back unless chips improve.

First time ordering,.. chips are frozen or oven chips, weren't cooked properly either..not nice at all. The chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce was nice but overall let down by the chips. Just want some proper homemade chippy chips. Unfortunately, won't be ordering from them again because of this.

A great little chippy that does some lovely Chinese and Thia food. I would have given it 5 stars, but its a cash only shop, and I watched them lose customers for this reason as I waited for my order!

You could tell food was rushed. Al came to well over £20 and I revived half of what should have been there. Used to be a great restaurant now sadly not anymore. You close when you close! Doesn’t mean give out half asssed food.

Arrived super early tonight considering its friday, was steaming hot was lovely but I would recommend putting the 3 in 1 in a different type of tray as it makes the chips soggy with the sauce.

chips were quite hard needed cooking longer ribs were ok but cut up into little pieces very strange very hot just warning you lol

Alright food chips were abit bland only 3nuggets in the salt and pepper box and the chicken wings were dry and got 8 chicken balls instead of 10 which matters when ur spilling it between a family but they where nice

Poorly prepared food. Inside the chicken was cold and hot on the outside (dangerous) the boiled rice was cold but the chips were nice 👌

Chow mein was dry with hardly any flavour and ordered PRAWN toast only to get what looked and tasted exactly like processed chicken on toast with no prawn whatsoever! Chop suey roll slimy and barely fried too :/ used to be really good and always order the same things, what happened!?

Had a £10 off voucher so ordered Chinese should of been £28 so got it for £18 would be so disappointed if I paid £28 chicken was slimy in the meal, and chicken skewers were so dry. Wouldn’t order again for those prices

Food quality excellent. Always order from here. Chicken wings on appetizer menu have slight crisp batter on them with a peking sauce in pot to go with them . Wow!

Very disappointed bbq ribs no sauce no taste just oil at the bottom so dry not alot of meat. Chips cheese bbq sauce undercooked and so little cheese you wouldn’t know it was there a lot less sauce than normal. Chicken balls not golden brown very white not looking good at all sweet and sour sauce has changed not good. Lost a good customer won’t be back

The sweet and sour sauce has changed and it’s not as good as the old one , it’s a different colour and doesn’t taste as good as the old sauce!

Arrived late, food freezing cold and when rang up to see where my delivery was they told me they was delivering 6 orders before mine no wonder the food was cold! Customer service was disgusting
