We were staying in a local b and b and had a take away from here. Order was very quick. Hot and fresh. Would go back again if in the area.

Las casas favoritas, carne desmenuzada de frío y platos de arroz frito. Servicio rápido y buena comida han hecho de esta nuestra parada regular. La única pega es sólo en efectivo.

Food was hot, prompt and average price for around the area. Friendly front of house too which is a bonus. Would use again.

We have been using this take away for many years. It is just a standard Chinese, whilst the food is edible, it is nothing spectacular. We normally opt for Special Chow Main which is absolutely fine and their sweet and sour chicken balls which are always overcooked. We have now started using others a bit further afield.

Being stuck for food decided to have a chinese? takeaway. Very quiet so order quickly taken and served. The 'sauce' on the mushroom special was very watery with food almost tasteless. The chow mein was much better and egg fried rice very good. Server totally immersed in ignoring myself despite attempting to make small talk. Thought the meal was a little on the dear side. Will try one of the other establishments next time

We, the missus and I, have just moved to Chard and after a day of sanding our garage door we decided to have a Chinese Takeaway as neither of us felt like cooking. As we did't know any takeaways we walked down the High Street and stopped at Mayflower Chinese Takeaway. This small fronted shop looks small and scruffy and is only displaying a 4 on their hygiene rating. We placed our order with cheerful young man (a set menu for 2), paid, cash only, then went for a walk to the local supermarket for ice cream for pudding. Arrived back 10 mins later to a bag being past straight over to us. Driving back it smelt lovely. Unpacked meal which had: Chicken with green pepper & black bean sauce Garlic king prawn Sweet and sour pork balls Yuen chow special fried rice Prawn crackers Lots of food here, normal small sized tinfoil containers for Chicken, king prawn, Pork balls. A slightly bigger sized container than you normally get for the rice and big bag of Prawn crackers all for £19.60 *Chicken with green pepper & black bean sauce - Very Good and Tasty *Garlic king prawn - Didn't taste the garlic but still very good *Sweet and sour pork balls - Super Sour and battered pork balls were tasty although missus had a tough one. *Yuen chow special fried rice - Fresh and full of specialness *Prawn Crackers - Didn't like them but we very early do but a big bag. The veggies in the dishes were fresh and still crunchy. This was too much food for us, we have already decided next time we will have set menu for one with quarter of crispy duck, can't wait! P.S. I did take a picture but as I am the first to review I can't upload picture >:-(

Worst experience, was looking forward to going out for a meal as service and food have always been very good, but felt really let down by the service, the waitress had greasy hair. She took our drinks orders, my husband asked for a larger shandy, when it came out it looked like lemonade, so she changed it for a coke. We ordered our food starters and mains, when the food came out we had the whole lot bought out. So she had to send the mains back. The food wasn't very nice. So won't be going back there again

Singapore rice noodles are unseasoned, tasteless and without a trace of chilli. Thought the new "shredded chicken with thai sauce " was going to be coated in THAI sauce. As in red or green coconuty taste. I paid just under £9 for a crispy battered then sliced chicken breast with a pot of Thai Sweet Chilli sauce. This Chinese used to be the best. I won't be using them again!
