¡Pedí a Mayfair una entrega a la que resultó ser absolutamente impactante! Después de más de una hora de retraso y la aplicación de entrega que decía que había sido entregada, mi compañero llamó por teléfono para preguntarle si le habían dicho que estaba fuera con el conductor. Al llegar a las dos horas, llamó por teléfono por segunda vez y le dijeron que aún estuviera con el conductor. ¡Después de más de dos horas y media decidí telefonearme muy frustrado porque habíamos pasado hambre! Dijeron que telefonearían al conductor, ¡después de haberles dicho esto, sabíamos que la comida estaría fría! Luego recibí una llamada telefónica del conductor de la entrega e ignoré mis instrucciones que le di cuando dije que tomara tu primera izquierda y la seguías, él repitió, así que tomé la primera a la derecha. Impactante de nuevo! ! Finalmente entregado y sí hacía frío! ¡Y el conductor casi golpea los escalones de la valla! Mas de 2 . 5 horas de retraso, 3 llamadas telefónicas, mala comida, mal servicio, así que llamé para pedir un reembolso y me dijeron que nos enviarían un mensaje de texto con un monto de crédito para usar la próxima vez, ya que no pueden volver a hacerlo a través de la aplicación. 1 semana después, lo has adivinado, ¡no hay texto! ! ¡Puedo decir con seguridad que no volveré a ordenar y que se lo haré saber a la gente! !

Pedí una comida para llevar anoche y no puedo hablar mal de este lugar. Pedí varios platos y no sabía qué plato era cuál. Insípido, insípido, comida indescriptible.

No pidas desde este lugar. La primera vez que pedimos tardó 1 hora y 45 minutos en llegar después de que nos dijeron que sería una hora. Estúpidamente decidimos darle a este chino una segunda oportunidad, asumiendo que la primera entrega había tardado tanto debido a que era un pedido grande, etc. Pedimos comida para dos esta noche, la entrega tardó 2 horas y 30 minutos en llegar, a pesar de ser Dijo que llegaría en una hora. Después de llamar al "restaurante" para ver qué demoraba tanto, no recibimos ninguna explicación o disculpa, solo un tiempo estimado de entrega de otra media hora. La comida aquí es mediocre, el servicio pésimo y el personal grosero. Podría haber criado una gallina de un huevo, preparar el pájaro y cocinarlo en menos tiempo del que este lugar tardó en entregar.

Muy mal servicio aconsejado 40 - 60 minutos para la entrega apareció 2 horas más tarde y no lo que pedimos evitar

No hemos estado en esto para llevar durante mucho tiempo. . pero pensé que lo intentaríamos para ver si había alguna mejora. ¡Qué malgasto de dinero! ! Comida muy soso (y muy rojo). Nunca he visto pollo al curry de ese color! ! ¡No tiene sabor! ! No volveremos allí. ¡Ten cuidado con los clientes! !

When they get it right it is very good, often food is not delivered or they got the wrong order, needs to be sorted as a food good

Called in for a quick tea. Not been in for years. This was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. They need to learn that quality is more important than quantity!

Ordered meal 7.48pm Friday, after 1hour and 10 minutes rang up to see where it was, only to be told it would be another 30 minutes. We cancelled order as last one was not good but after years of being a customer had decided to give it another chance...this used to be great but won't be going back now or ordering online. I presume ownership has changed and hence reason for poor service and food!

The food was delivered a bit later than stated, but cannot fault the quality and amount of food delivered, We ordered the set meal for 2 and there’s more than enough for 2 people

I liked the Happy Meal set menu. The food was tasty, and the early delivery was a lovely surprise.

Food was nice and it arrived early, unfortunately not all of the food arrived, called to explain what was missing to wait 20minutes and had to call again as nothing arrived to be told we had to wait a further 30minutes for what was missing. The rest of my meal was cold by the time the rest arrived. Usually very good so was disappointed they messed up a bit this time

Restaurant added time to the delivery time and it was still 40 mins late. I rang the restaurant when it was 25 mins late to be told “you know we don’t start delivering until 5:30 right” by this point it was 18:10. No apology and when the food arrived it wasn’t very warm and the sauce was grey and just tasted odd. The spring rolls just have some sort of gloop in them, no discernible vegetables and were really terrible. Won’t be ordering again

Absolutely beautiful food, came piping hot, generous and wholesome sized portions!!! Our new local Chinese. For sure, however the £2.00 delivery charge is prob the only downfall quite expensive from just around the corner to where we live, but then again I could be classed as lazy for not walking up to collect it. Thanks guys!!!

Ordered a meal for 2 people which was delayed by half an hour, 45 minutes later it still hadn’t turned up so I rang up to ask where it was, they replied, it was sat waiting in the shop and was going to be an additional half an hour, when it did finally turn up over an hour late the delivery driver asked for an addition £2! Food was nice and I did enjoy it when it finally arrived, probably more out of starvation

Delivery was late. Initially Just-eat said 40 mins for delivery. Mayfair then confirmed 55 minutes and they ended up being another 20 mins late. Ribs were very dryed out of any moisture and not very bbq tasting. The rice was very cold and had to be heated up. Thought that might be due to the delay, which may in turn be snowy weather related, but the chips were really hot.

Best Chinese in York! Food always arrives hot and it’s always super tasty! Dishes taste better from here than anywhere else! Big portions and freebies with big orders. Delivery always on time

Good Food but delivery is so unreliable. the last 2 orders have been 60 mins late and 30 mins late. These may well be our last orders with such unreliable delivery

Terrible customer service. Waited an hour for my food in the first place and then it was 45 minutes late. Rang the restaurant who offered no apology and was told ‘busy saturday night’. Terrible service and the food was average therefore not worth waiting for. No apology from the driver

ordered from here for the first time in a few years and it’s just as nice as I remembered. prawn toast was delicious but the pancake rolls were. a bit burnt so weren’t the best tonight. chicken balls and the chicken satay is amazing along with fried rice and noodles :) defo recommend and now it’s back to being my no1 Chinese! :)

Food tasted ok but unfortunately was only just warm order arrived just over 1 hour late, our previous order with this restaurant was just over 30 minutes late, so timings not good. I can understand orders being late on a Saturday night but the restaurant needs to be a little more accurate with their delivery target times

the food took 2 hours to arrive and the restaurant were not helpful when we rang to see where it was. they advised us that they had given us extra chicken balls to apologise, however, this was not the case. my husband asked for some money back as it was a large order but they would not oblige. Not even the delivery fee, very disappointing

ordered for the first time from Mayfair on Friday night as Chinese takeaways around Acomb are not so good now and the food was very very nice and piping hot even delivery to Chapelfields. we enjoyed the food that much we also ordered the same food the Saturday evening also! thanks Mayfair you have gained a new regular customer 👍

BEST SALT N PEPPER CHICKEN AND CHIPS EVER!! they struggled to find our address, however the woman who rang to find it was so lovely and polite so it was no bother, will definitely be going back!!❤️

The order was wrong. When I called to ask them to correct their error the person on the other end seemed to be having 2 or 3 other conversations and wasn’t that interested. It was hard to work out who they were talking to but the general gist of it was that they weren’t going to do anything and they’d “get it right next time”.

Food was 45 minutes late, when I rang at 20 minutes late was told the driver was on his way, after another 20 minutes it still hadn't arrived rang again and was told driver also had two other deliveries. I was concerned it would be cold, when food arrived found out it hadn't even been cooked when I rang the first time and whoever I spoke to on the phone had obviously lied. Food was good when we got it but rubbish customer service would put me off ordering from Mayfair again.

Really poor service. Will never use them again. Added on 30 minutes time which we were fine with however the food was a further 30 minutes late. When it arrived it was stone cold and undercooked. Wet chips. Attempted to phone the take away but it just rang out. The delivery driver was given the wrong address by the take away so we had their number. Take away finally phoned us back to explain it was busy and their phone wasn’t working. Terrible food and terrible service.

Upon receiving the food ordered, I realized that part of it was wrong. Having called Mayfair, I was told that to get the chicken balls with curry sauce, I'd have to put that I wanted the chicken balls in the notes section. If that is the case, then why does the menu not state this? The person I spoke too was also extremely unhelpful and did nothing to rectify the problem at all. On this occasion the customer service was shocking.

The food came really early which was great, but I was really disappointed in the food which is a shame as I’ve been eating with Mayfair for years. the inside of was slimey and the chow main tasted really stale.

Fried rice so mushy mor like cus cus, special curry? Nothing special about it and very flavourless, dumplings best park of the meal however they are expensive for what they are, there good but not £6.50 good....

Got prawns in garlic sauce and there was about 4 prawns in the whole dish. It furthermore did not look or taste appetising. Rice was very overcooked and mushy. The prawn crackers were just dripping in oil. Unfortunately would not recommend

The only plus side would be the food was hot but sadly the quality poor, delivery extremely late and even had to pay an extra £2.00 delivery as we were out of the delivery range not something that was stated when placing the order. Will definitely not be using again.

Do not get a takeaway from Mayfair Chinese the chips were reheated the sweet and sour chicken balls where like bullets the batter was that hard and the savory rice had that really salty taste it was a waste of money

After I placed the order they phoned me and added an extra £2.00. If I knew this before hand I probably wouldn't have ordered extra. The food itself was poor quality. It was warm, chicken was dry and not much flavour in the stir fried rice, the curry sauce was also bland. I don't think I will be ordering from here again.

I would be embarressed to deliver this food, two meals spoilt, gravy all in bag which dripped grease al over my cream carpet, chips dehydrated, steak unable to eat cooked to death, eaten by dogs in the end, TWO meals RUINED terrible waste of money you should close down with this service, Very BAD and no apologies

The food is amazing! Literally the best Chinese takeaway I've had! Also, if you get it delivered it all comes in a little box and the delivery guy is so sweet. You definitely need to try it! Oh, and get the homemade dumplings. You'll understand once you've taken a bite.
