What a fantastic find. Looked for a nice restaurant relatively locally and stumbled upon Maya Lounge. Great atmosphere as soon as we arrived, great service and one of the best meals we have had out for a very long time. Throughly enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend

We were a group of 31, and we informed the restaurant we were coming one month beforehand to celebrate my daughter's bday. On arrival, the environment was lovely. the seating area well accommodated all of us. As it was in the week, it was not busy at all. Unfortunately, the quality of services was atrocious, we arrived between 7, and food orders were all taken by 7.30/7.45pm. food was delivered to the tables 1 hour to 1hr 30 after ordering, totally shocking, some of our party did not recieve all their food, when it did come it was COLD, or dry as it was sitting on the hotplate. When we asked what the issue was, we were told there was only 1 chef! When we said the food was cold, they took it back and microwaved it. Imagine the taste of microwaved fried chips #yuk! I can not even be bothered to write the full experience because it was so shocking, when we came to pay, they refused to give me a separated drinks menu, and food menu, as the quality of food and service was so poor, my party did not feel it warranted full payment. The lead waiter rudely stated that "Everyone ate the food, then put his hand in my face to tell me not to talk. "... ermmm NO, there was a high element of women should not talk to men in an authorative way culture within this restaurant. I believed he forgot that I was the consumer in the restaurant he worked in.... once he changed his tone, we were able to negotiate a price to be paid with a high discount accommodated for, the only reason this resturant recieved any money was because it was my daughter's birthday and didn't want to ruin the experience any more than it already had been with the quality of food and service being so poor. Large bookings can only accommodate 3 card payments, so this was another problem as everyone (31 people) was paying their share by card. We will never return back to this place but if you do go and plan on bringing a large party please ensure you bring cash with you / ensure when making the booking you get the correct information of payment as this is ANOTHER thing they failed to me when booking.

I come here all the time with my wife we just brought our families with us recently and they all loved it the atmosphere and food is amazing. Can't wait to see you guys again :)

Super ambience with lovely food and more to follow

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I don’t even know where to begin. We were refused tap water not once, but four times. “Our tap water is not clean, it comes out white. However we can offer you still water from our menu”. If your tap water (Thames water) is not clean, I urge you to undergo a health and hygiene inspection. I called on Friday and booked a table, asking about the ‘minimum deposit’ scheme. I was told it has been removed until September. Low and behold, within minutes of being seated we were urged to spend £35 per head, and if we didn’t we would be charged regardless. The soft drinks were flat. Milk shakes were all milk and no shake. Food was served without cutlery. Perhaps this is fitting for a restaurant inside a cave? The staff do not possess the fundamental language skills to communicate, often getting orders wrong, disappearing for minutes on end and arguing with our plea to kindly abstain from shisha. Food was enough this time. When the time came to pay the bill, we were refused to split four ways as it was “policy” to take only a maximum of two card payments per table. (Good luck if there are ten of you). The most unnerving, unforgettable experience came at the end, after paying we quietly made our way to the stairs, where security refused our exit. We were told to go to the manager and present our receipt for approval before being allowed to leave. It felt like we were in HMP Whetstone. Do not visit this place. Bizarre, cold, experience.

A cave restaurant, makes you feel like you are inside an Aladdin-movie. The service was super, staff were friendly. I think the music could be a bit more diversified but was still okay. I am definitely going back soon, I totally recommend the place.

This place is great for shisha lovers. Here you will find Lebanese dance, Lebanese food, drink and shisha! A great place to sit and chat with friends while watching the dance, smoking shisha (enjoying a puff of shisha )! The staff is very attentive. Must visit once.

Overall experience was good. The vibe of the place was amazing. Staffs were really helpful and drinks were too good. But the issue was with vegetarian food. They don't have options in main course for vegetarians. Disappointed to have cold falafal wrappe.

Place is lovely but I believe the music is to loud as wow shout back at the waiter for them to hear your order. Common sense is to turn down the music. Plus they brought out the wrong meal but instead of rectifying it they left my guest with the same meal that he didn't order. And its overly price again Barnet and cockfosters are nice places to hang out but they are not central London so stop with the big prices. Overall nice place great belly dancer.

A wonderful evening at Maya with very attentive staff, interesting ambience / decor and atmosphere that was just right. The Shisha was very good, albeit on the more expensive side, compared to some places and I couldn't understand the price jump from £35 for normal shisha to £75 for "VIP" which supposedly is just a tabletop Hookah. £9 for a large mint tea pot also seemed a little on the expensive side, given it lasted no more than 4 glasses, but it was piping hot and fresh, which considering the atmosphere and ambience, does make up for it. By far the biggest surprise of the evening was how attentive the staff were - taking away used items from the table, checking and refreshing charcoal, bringing tea and then pouring a cup and of course, generally contributing to the atmosphere with humour and small talk. Top work, I will visit again in the future. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be ensuring that the fresh mint tea doesn't use teabags, but is brewed from black tea with fresh mint leaves added. A lounge I visited in the Netherlands did this, and the taste was so much smoother.

I went for a birthday party. I had Grilled fish and rice ,I must say the fish was well seasoned and delicious,I was also able to taste the mixed grill,this was also delicious and well seasoned. Atmosphere was wonderful with a lovely belly dancer and good music I will definitely visit again.

Orded some food, received only half of it and without shame charge full price. When called the manager(said the manager is not here) and just swearing at me saying that is already paid) the waiter apologising at the door as we are leaving and complaining and the food is ready after your staff complaining that we already had the food. We work in neighbourhood and always recommend your place,,never ever again...worst service ever,never coming again and sad that this evening the staff just disappointed the whole Maya Lounge

Celebrated my friends birthday there and it was a delight.

Ordered a waffle, here I thought it was going to be a homemade nice waffle like what other lounges do, they have the cheek to serve me a supermarket cheap small and hard sugar with and put some bananas on top which were horrible absolutely disgusting desert, the chicken was reasonably good other than that nothing was good.

Book a table after 10 to get the best from Maya lounge

Gutted with how the staff were, they tried to enforce us to spend £50 pp when we only stayed 2 hours, on top of the £30 deposit. the website states 3 hours minimum spend £50. We was going back and forth and they were being so rude and difficult. Ended up spending more than I should have. Never going back.

Good service, staff nice and attentive. Food is VERY bland (wrap) and the place wasn’t busy for a Friday night. Maya isn’t busy like before and the £50pp minimum spend isn’t justified. Crazy having a different minimum spends on different days of the week LOL. So many rules. I’d maybe visit Maya once a year because of this as there is plenty of shisha lounges without these rules in London.

Huge venu, with a very relaxed atmosphere. The roof is slightly open, so it can feel a little cold. Extremely helpful staff team, they cannot do enough for you!

Friday night, me and my friend called to enquire about the booking policy. We were told it was just a walk in so we did. Upon walking in the man at the door asked me if I was drunk? I said no I don’t drink due to religious reasons, to which he replied he does even though he is from the ‘same faith’. I then said well that’s were we make different choices. He put me off straight there, still went in there due to my friend wanting to have. Good night out. We just wanted to see how the ambience was and have a light bite. The place was actually dead, we also had a man who was a staff following us most of the time. When we sat he kept watching us. Which made us furthermore feel uncomfortable. So we simply left. As we were leaving there was a group of four girls. They were having a conversation outside about the ridiculous dead atmosphere and about being told to spend £50 per head. We said we were told the same if only the first man wasn’t rude and made us feel so uncomfortable. Not going there again even if it was the last place open. Peace out.

One of the most classiest and modern shisha lounges that I have ever gone to. You feel like a VIP when you go to Maya Lounge for shisha. All the shisha flavours are exclusive, and the cocktails are just perfect.

I'll start with the good bits, easy parking and nice entrance and decor. Now to the actual experience. The atmosphere for a Friday night was very poor. Got seated on the sides even though the centre tables were free. It was very cold and we could feel the breeze throughout. Food was below average, very bland and pricey. The mocktails came out very quick, taste was simple and nothing wow. Overall very disappointed especially as they have a £50 minimum spend person.

The food is fine. Your local Lebanese would do the same. The atmosphere is what makes this place, the music is good (if you like rnb and afrobeats), the restaurant is beautifully designed, the belly dancing is a nice touch. What they do not tell you is they’ll shove on a £75 table charge if you don’t spend £50 per person. Now this is where I’m frustrated, I booked a table for two, we had a wonderful time. My friends boyfriend turned up he did not eat or drink one item. He was there for less than an hour and they increased the charges to include £50 to cover him. RIP OFF! I will never go again because of the audacity of that charge.

Service was very good and up to my standard. They outdid themselves with the decor, breathtaking. All the colours textures and mirrors were fun and the overall aesthetics 10/10. The food was good, I’m quite the food critic and I know what I expect when it comes to shawarmas etc. however I’d give the food 5/10. The portion size was okay but the overall flavour could do with improvement and perhaps to add fresh chilli sauce to your menu as I asked for sauces and there weren’t much available. They had a live dancer come in which looked entertaining ,just as we were about to leave. I loved the service I’d give a 10/10. The drinks I ordered were delicious.

Very disappointed with the overall experience at Maya. Paid lots of money for the food that wasn’t tasty. I had mixed shawarma and according to the menu it should have been grilled. What I received was pale pieces of chicken and lamb that seemed to be fried on the pan and not even very well as didn’t catch any colour. The atmosphere wasn’t great overally and it was pretty chilly. The only good thing was the service - the waiters were attentive and polite. I won’t be going back to Maya.

Such a weird and dodgy place, with strange politics about tables. Manager is rude and definitely has something against women. The only 2 nice people there are the belly dancer and security guy. Would not recommed, plenty of better Shisha lounges in North London, e.g. Hart lounge in Southgate

Had high hopes for this place. Really poor and slow service with the food. Incorrect orders with starters and mains even forgetting one of the main courses for one of the party completly and eventually serving it on a broken plate. Real shame considering the occasion and decor.

Please don’t waste your money. Tiny portion for extortionate price. My food was ice cold and the bread rock solid.

Was planning to go to the restaurant opposite L’mour however it was busy was really thrilled to see that MAYA was available for any seats, HOWEVER the guards very rude and intimidating and started acting as if we’re going to their house or something what a way to greet your customers who are helping your business run came in and the atmosphere was very quiet and I couldn’t be there and be expected to pay £50 so I left as soon as I exited a old man with a hoodie on probably the owner was like are you coming back so I said sorry not today and he replied saying no problem carry on bye in a rude manner such a shame customers are being treated in a rude manner for somewhere they’re meant to enjoy I’ve seen previous reviews where staff have been trained they claim wonder who by because who ever training the guards must not like people what a shame.

Really enjoyed myself I went on a Friday the belly dancer was beautiful and entertaining the staff are so friendly and checked on us all the time to ensure everything was okay. Delicious food.

Fantastic food and super friendly service

Upon entry I was told by the security at the door that minimum spend was £50 pp (I was told about this place by my date to meet at) so that wasn't the best introduction to have. Of course, I'm happy to spend my money willingly but disliked being told I should. So you may want to educate your staff on this. Anyway, I asked for a physical menu when being seated but the staff pointed at the QR code to scan but you can't order off it so it just seems illogical & pointless. I ordered a shisha which to me was basic for the price of £45 where as other standard shisha establishments offer better quality for less. I've seen shisha for 10-20£ so why the high cost for something so basic? I called the attention of your staff to place a order & they said they would send someone to take my order....I've ended up telling up to 5 of your staff members just to get someone to take my order! - it wasnt even busy, there were a few people seated, a lot of the staff members walking around like headless chickens & standing around in the middle, is it really too much to ask to take my order & let me pay you...ridiculous. If you have such high prices & you demand big buys from your customers then you have to deliver the quality & service to match that. The service was terrible. The shisha was bland. The wait was too long. So I left & would not come here again. 3 drinks & a shisha amounted to £69 and I only lasted an hour being there. Really wish I hadn't paid as I felt a bit cheated & lured in. The only good thing Maya has going on for it is the aesthetics of the scenery. I can't comment on the food as I did not reach that point and I was hungry so had things been in line with the service I could've stayed.

Beautiful lounge, great the fact it has parking and good seating. The wrong food was bought out and then by the time the correct order came out my freind had already finished her food. It took absolutely ages just to get a knife and fork to the point after asking 5 staff members for one it eventually came and I ate my lukewarm food. When I complained about this they apologised and said they had ran out of knives and forks. It wasn’t a very busy Saturday however. After being to many lounges in London I think the £50 per head for Maya just isn’t justified.

The portion size is ridiculous for 12 quid! I got 4 pieces of falafel which tasted nice but I can't believe they were so small and few. Definitely wouldn't order this again.

This place is beautifully decorated, however the staff are rude, they don’t know how to make drinks or food. They became aggressive if you give feedback to change anything you don’t like. They tired to charge us for items we didn’t receive or order. 3 people of a table next to us fainted, the staff just took them outside and told them to settle their bill, refused address for the ambulance. Would never go back there

Everything was Amazing apart from the poor service. We went there on thursday. It wasnt that busy and they had losts of staff members but they were not looking after their customers. It was such a mess with our starters and no cutlery brought …. And the service charge was high …..

Personally, not really my thing as it has a belly dancer which attracts a certain type of crowd if you know what I mean but she was great as she knows the different Arabic dancing etc. When I went there with a friend, we ordered chicken wings which arrived burnt. They had different non alcoholic beverages too thar were nor anything special. The decor was very bright and clean. The shisha cost around £75. Parking is free.

We had an amazing evening meal here. The whole atmosphere is something very special. We were welcomed in a way I've only experienced abroad, with warmth and professionalism. We were made to feel very special and important. My only issue was with the language used in the music playing. A lot of "language" which I had to tell my 16year old to ignore! The food was utterly delicious, really just so well flavoured and thoroughly delicious. I had the lamb shish and it was perfect. I also recommend the cheese filled breads. The venue is beautiful and I would love to come for a longer evening and dance etc. It's also a shisha place, so if you don't like sitting with that around you, better not go. It feels dimly lit inside but it's a great light for photos. All the staff were attentive and friendly especially the Maitre D.

Stunning interior, delicious food and good shisha, amazing vibes overall and especially the service and staff were attentive and very friendly! Little on the pricey side but I would come here again soon :)
