May Flower Chinese Takeaway in Carmarthenshire

Oh dear. Not great really. This cost £49.50 for two rice two main dishes pork balls, crispy duck and prawn crackers. The egg fried rice didn’t have any egg in it or very little and a bit greasy. The pork balls didn’t taste great. Not very crispy and I think they use either cheap oil to fry or it’s old oil. The balls had a tainted taste and greasy. The crispy duck wasn’t crispy at all. Lots of bone shards in it and the main bones were left in. Again very greasy. The pancakes were packed in with the duck and covered in grease. So sorry to say I doubt I’d buy again from here. The only good thing is the order was complete.

Nice lady who took our phone order but food was disappointing. Chicken chow mein lacked taste. Tofu was very dry and tough. Egg fried rice was nice.

We ordered a variety of dishes on the phone with a very pleasant young lady and the order was quickly ready for us to collect and it all smelt enticing. There’s a single yellow line on the road outside but we didn’t stop there for too long. It was all still good and hot when we got home after a fifteen minute drive and we tucked in enthusiastically. All of the food was very good. Maybe a little more spice in the dishes marked as “spicy” and a bit more egg in the egg fried rice would have been nice and the chicken was strangely cubed but we enjoyed our meal and will certainly return.
