Ordered a takeaway via Uber eats. The food was hot on arrival. Sweet & sour king prawn balls and salt & chilli wings were fine. The roast duck chow mein and beef fried rice were the blandest I’ve ever tasted from any Chinese restaurant. Thoroughly disappointed and won’t be ordering from here again.

Best Chinese takeaway in Syston.

First time we have used Maxims. It was obvious after the first mouthful that the quality of the ingredients were excellent. Delivered on time,and.generous portions,made for a lovely meal

Food usually nice, but be aware the special chow mein and possibly the special fried rice contains scrimps or prawns but doesn’t say that on website.

Absolutely disgusted made order said 45 to an hour which is fine for a Saturday rang after the hour think they had forgot said another 15mins,half hour later ringing again so nearly 2hrs for delivery not good enough will not be using again

They have changed management or something, food is a lot nicer than it usually is the past fee orders.

I had a special that was advertised as a mix and it arrived in a used pizza box with more chips than anything....maybe they ran out of everything else.

This place won't even deliver within a 2 mike radius! Useless

Disgusting! Should be closed down, thank goodness they missed something off my order or I would have had to try more of the dreadful food. The one star is only there because you have to, so you can make a comment

First time having food from here.. was absolutely fabulous.

I have lived in queniborough, gaddesby, rearsby and two different houses in syston since i was born, and my mum always bought Chinese from here because the food was divine. Unfortunately last year they got a new chef, the food is now completely inedible, and even when it is tolerable its stone cold, the new receptionist couldn't read the menu or understand basic english the last time we visited and was walking around in stained pjs. This is coming from a 5 visits to maxim in December 2019, and judging by recent comments and reviews, it seems it hasn't changed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Ordered through an app only in tilton took money cancelled our order !!! Have wait for a refund for days !! Terrible service and my friend ordered and said hers was cold and not cooked don’t use !! Yuk

Only getting 1 star as cant give zero, not based on food, never got this due to "driver not having change" to cover the 27.50 bill with a 50, 22.50 change a problem? Called the take away and advised most people pay with £40, well sorry!! Manager called back to be fair to offer bringing back, not sure I wants cold take away- sorry guys poor, really disappointed, especially on new years eve

Well what a disatster! As soon as I got home I checked the order to discover 2 dishes were completely wrong! Also the Chinese chips were stone cold! I took my order straight back and in all fairness I got my money back leaving the cold incorrect food on the counter. Would I order food from there again.... ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!

Been going to this Chinese for years & food was always amazing but after tonight’s will never return - absolutely disgusting inedible food. Rang to ask why it was so bad as every dish tasted SO different & was told new chef but seems new owners too. Avoid at all costs!

Since the Chinese has changed hands, the order was wrong the chips were inedible and the sauce was not what we ordered, beef was chewy and inedible, once a lovely Chinese but I won’t be ordering from here again awful

Changed the chef. Not half as good as before.. will be looking elsewhere now

Was the worst food I had ever ,spring roll so greasy and flat ,curry sauce vile and crisp shredded beef well I wouldn't again I rang and they said we'll the chef is the same, never again

Love the food from here, wold have got 5*'s if they delivered quicker, always a very long wait but that's cos they're busy. We collect, which is a bit of a pain, also, no online menu? Still, all worth it. Really fancy a Chinese now. Lol.

Simply the the worst quality Chinese takeaway in syston. Use one of the other three. I've lived in syston all my life and had takeaways from all of them and this is the worst by far with dry tasteless food and egg fried rice with non existent egg? I mean how much money are they going to save by scrimping on amount of egg they put in it???
