Great service , food excellent plenty of choice and large portions. Watch out for service charge added automatically. But food and atmosphere was brilliant.

The staff were top class, very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Aysha's team looked after our party with friendly and helpful professionalism making the whole evening a great experience.

We were so impressed with this place. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes, giving lots of info on the restaurant itself which was interesting. The food was exquisite, really professional (Michelin Star worthy I'd say) and delivered to the table really quickly. Loads of vegetarian options with a gorgeous vegan & gluten free main which I had. Really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!

Good food,the waiter advised me what to have as I didn't want a plate piled with food even though it was probably the cheapest on menu,but it was delicious.

This place is a gorgeous and I wouldn't be surprised if awards follow. We went for our first anniversary and were taken care of and had a brilliant time. The food was fresh and tasty, very authentic food, beautiful atmosphere and I almost divorced my wife to marry the baklava. We had a Turkish white wine which was lovely, a really nice change. Will definitely be back. Special shout out to Leo who took care of us, knew every dish inside out and taught us some Turkish pronunciation!

What a fabulous night we had. Visited for a friend birthday tonight. The place just amazing! The atmosphere is incredible, soon as you enter the building you been looked after. We all had starters which was all fantastic especially the oven baked mushroom, all the mains were tasty, hot and well seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and delivered just right and on time! The staff is always very attentive and chatty. All dressed smart and tidy. Really nice to see a place where plenty of staff around and all of them working comfortably and not rushed off their feet. Thank you for making our night special.

I had never heard of this place so didn't know what to expect but upon entering, I was impressed. I was greeted by a very well groomed and well presented host, (physically and verbally) who showed me to my table. The decor was modern but with a turkish vibe and was beautifully executed. The seating and tables were very comfortable and the tableware was was lovely. I was very impressed how they seemed to effortlessly cater for everyones needs. There were older people, young children and babies in the restaurant, but the atmosphere was celebratory and joyful. The music was ambient and the birthday celebration ritual was jubilant. The food itself did not disappoint. All the food was freshly prepared and looked beautiful on the plate and they didn't skimp on portions. The plates were big and very worth their pricetag and the taste was absolutely delicious. Well worth a visit, if you can get in. It was very busy, but Excellent!!!

The restaurant was classy and beautiful. The food was healthy, light, affordable and tasty. The service was outstanding, simply the best in my Tina Turner voice as we were served by Mr "501" Levis, he is just excellently brilliant. The embodiment of great customer service as he was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We highly recommend the restaurant and we will come back again and again and again for Mr 501 Levis service🤗😊👏👍!!!! Top tip: on a sunny day ask to be sat outside and order the Ruya lamb dish and Ruya Mocktail just lush 💕❤️😋😍!

WOW!! This was our very first visit today & we will definitely be back! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a very welcoming beautiful, smiley, warm lady named Mary. She was very attentive throughout our meal too, even when the restaurant got super busy. The customer service she gave to us was top notch which unfortunately you don’t often find anymore. This lady is an absolute asset to your restaurant! Thank you Mary for making us feel so comfortable, keep smiling & being you 😀 P.S, Next time we will dress to impress 😉😂 I also have to mention how beautiful the exterior & interior design is, what great effort you all went to here, I couldn’t stop looking around! Everything was just perfect & the restaurant was so clean & comfortable too. All the staff seemed very professional, calm, very smart & the atmosphere was perfect, not too loud or quiet. I honestly can’t believe how quick our food arrived at our table, we ordered a huge meal & it all tasted fresh & was delicious! Thank you to the hardworking super chefs! We definitely ate way too much but then Mary gave a box to take out..although we aren’t sure we will eat for at least a week now! Please don’t judge us, it was only for 2 people & definitely eyes bigger than the belly tonight 🙈😂 Prices are great too for both food & drinks. A lot of restaurants really overcharge too much for drinks but I think you have it just right! The only recommendation I have is to please let staff take direct tips. We were happy to pay the service charge to everyone but we would have also loved to give extra directly to Mary also for all her own direct efforts & incredible service! 2 different taxi drivers pointed out this smart-looking restaurant as we passed, so we booked for Sunday evening. Their website states "we pride ourselves in offering the finest Anatolian cuisine. With over 20 years of experience creating mouth-watering dishes and seasonal specials, we have something to suit every palate. " The restaurant is very smart and beautifully presented. We received a very warm greeting at the door, and you pass a wonderful display of meats and an extremely long charcoal grill as you are shown in. The menu was pretty extensive with a great choice of really interesting dishes - it was quite difficult to choose! Our table of 6 all chose different main courses and they were all very different but equally delicious - we all cleared our plates. To start, we chose, to share: - Large Mixed Meze served with excellent, warm bread: Cacik, Soslu Patlican, Hummus, Zeytinyagli Fasulye, Barbunya Plaki, Babaganoush - Lahmacun: Very thin Authentic Turkish Flatbread with a Savoury Blend of Finely Seasoned Minced Lamb, Aromatic Onions, Tomatoes, Fragrant Parsley, and Red Peppers We cleared the plates! Then for my main I chose: - Mavi Rüya Special: Marinated Lamb Meat, Roasted to Perfection with a Medley of Tomato, Onion, Aubergine, Mushroom, and Garlic. Prepared in an earthen clay pot and cooked in a Wood-Burning Oven, Crowned with Cheese and Elegantly Covered with Balloon Bread, served with rice This was a spectacularly served dish, brought to the table with the "balloon bread" beautifully raised, then opened up by the waiter to reveal beautiful aromas and the glorious lamb. First visit this afternoon. Beautiful. Limited parking but we were lucky and got a space. Staff very polite and attentative. Felt welcome and respected on arrival and leaving. Omg the food.....amazing and huge size. Unfortunately too mu h for me and i felt so bad leaving some. My boyfriend and I got mixed kebab. Delicious!!!! Really enjoyed and will definitely go back. Has to be the best turkish restaurant I. Sheffield. Beautiful place. And good value for money. I try home cook turkish food but never the same and this place BRILLIANT. I'd give more stars if I could. Thankyou to the owners staff and the amazing chefs made my day.im still full. X

First time, Saturday afternoon. Starters, mains, service and atmosphere- fabulous, can’t wait to go again. Hummus and berecks excellent, breads are tasty hot and plentiful. Adanan kebabs are fantastic, very tasty salad and rice. The platters look spectacular. This is one of the best restaurants in Sheffield if not the best.

Came to Mavi Ruya to celebrate my birthday after hearing such good things, and it did not disappoint 🤗 the food was incredible, we shared the platter between 4 and there was more than enough! The meat was so tender and the sides were tasty too. The staff were lovely and friendly, can't wait to visit again😊

Was recommended this place and it didn't fail. Fantastic service, very friendly and explained dishes well, food was spot on, large portions and very tasty. Very very busy but there was no wait on food it all ran smoothly. Partner had salmon and I chose the lamb chops. I watched other dishes go out and would 100% order a platter next time.

I recently visited Maui Ruya and had an incredible experience! The hospitality was top-notch, the workers were so kind and caring, and the service was beyond amazing. The Turkish people there were lovely and the food was delicious. I felt truly loved on my birthday as they surprised me with a mini celebration and made everyone aware it was my special day. The hospitality, kindness of the workers, and the amazing service really made my visit special. The fact that they made my birthday memorable with a mini celebration shows how much they care about their customers. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was a 10/10 experience!

Just had a wonderful meal at Mavi Ruya. The food was delicious, staff were amazing and in particular, Christina and Lucki who clearly understood about catering for coeliac diners. (We were even given gluten free flatbread to enjoy with the meze, in addition to carrot and cucumber sticks). The non coeliac diners in our group enjoyed their food just as much. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Loved this place, it’s on my list to go back to. The food was great, some of the best Turkish cuisine I have had, very tasty. The waiter was great, explaining the dishes and language. I’d really recommend this as a good place for a meal.

I had my birthday dinner with family. The food was very impressive with reasonable price. The restaurant decorated beautifully and luxuriously but fullfilled by people. Even though they have a big space, they accepted too many customers at the time making the asmosphere was so noisy, hot, and unbreathable. Staff moved difficultly between narrow way cause of saving space of tables and chairs. Anyway, I love food here and will be back with friends, hope I will spend a better experience this time.

Great food and great service, food was fantastic and after reading some of the reviews I thought we were going to come away feeling ripped off. Instead we found the atmosphere great, there were a good selection of affordable meals and the portions were big, they even provided a couple of dips with some flat bread as appetisers on the house ( I must admit I was worried they were going to add it on to the bill but it wasn't 😉) I would definitely come back here. I had the lamb with potatoes and carrots which was a massive lamb shank served with a side portion of rice, the rice came out a little late but only a few minutes, the staff were very friendly and nice to talk too. My wife had a creamy pesto chicken which she enjoyed, there was a little too much for her to finish.

Absolutely stunning anniversary meal. We went on a Thursday evening and the place was bustling. Such a lovely, lively atmosphere. The staff were warm and friendly, and the food and cocktails were delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and was beautifully presented. We’d driven past lots of times and finally booked a table - so glad we did. Thank you for an excellent evening, we can’t wait to come back!

My girlfriend & I had an absolutely amazing experience at Mavi Ruya! It was our anniversary and first proper Turkish restaurant experience. The leg of lamb was delicious, perfectly falling off the bone, and the chicken was to die for!! All the staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing & the owner makes a killer cocktail! 👍🏻 We are already planning to go back in future.

We had heard good things about the restaurant. We were not disappointed. It was our wedding anniversary night out so we wanted to try something different. We had the sharing for 2 options. It had a lovely mixture of meza. In fact they asked if we would to swap anything from the cold selection. No need Great selection. Now the best bit the meat cooked to perfection. The staff were always on standby for extra drinks and clearing used plates etc. definitely enough food even for a fat lad from Sheffield. To top it off they sang a happy birthday song to my wife. We are going back and recommend you give it a try to.

Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food looked and tasted incredible and the whole atmosphere was great. Was a nice, unexpected touch when we ordered a dessert and they made a fuss about it being a birthday. All in all a great place.

A group of eight of us (family and friends) came for an amazing meal on a warm Saturday night. I’ve previously been here before but some of our friends hadn’t and they were blown away. Unsure what to order, we ended up getting two of the Jumbo Platters. The food was to die for. So flavourful and the perfect amount for us all. Service was fast, friendly and personal with a couple of jokes thrown in. Leo, Mary and Aysha served us and all were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back soon! 10/10

First visit here, with a group of girl friends. Promptly seated upstairs. Clean, ample space to move around. Great menu, all fully explained. I had a glass of house white wine. Complimentary nibbles....very nice. I had a main, off the specials section of the menu. It was incredible. Visited today for the lunch menu, warm welcome, excellent service and food to die for! The lunch menu has many options; 3 course for £21.90 !! The free dips and bread were greatly received before our meal arrived. We loved our visit and will be back ! High quality dining !

A wonderful, gem of a restaurant. The staff are unbelievably welcoming and friendly. Food is delicious, especially the grills and the desserts. A great place for a special occasion too. It's a little more expensive than other places nearby but its 100% worth it. I always leave here feeling really satisfied - must be one of the best places to eat in Sheffield.

I've eaten here twice now and have been extremely happy with all aspects of the experience both times. The food is delicious and plentiful and it's a nice touch that they bring you some complimentary flat bread and dips after you sit down. The restaurant is very tastefully done out so it's a very pleasant environment. The service is very good with attentive waiting staff. The one possible negative is that it's a big space so when the restaurant is full it can get very loud in there - especially if there are large groups. Both times I've been it's been pretty full so it's obviously very popular. I will definitely be returning!

Food was incredible, best calamari I've ever eaten. Good portion size for the money. Service was good, plenty of bread, dips and water. Beer was expensive at £7.00 a bottle, mark up on that is impressive. Head waiter on our section downstairs was great to us, but he could do with treating his staff a bit kinder. One of the young lads looked terrified to him and he was pretty awful to two female bar staff who laughed it off. On the whole a good evening and will definitely return. Lose a star for the reasons given.

We booked for a family meal for a birthday. We arrived & were seated upstairs which is huge and therefore incredibly loud and overbearing to the point of it being uncomfortable to sit there. The service was shocking, it took ages to get a drink, the drinks then took ages to arrive. It took ages to order food, when the starters arrived 1 dish was missing. Then it took ages for the plates to be cleared away, then another long wait for the mains to arrive. We were constantly having to wave someone down to get some drinks or order the food!! When the mains arrived again a dish was missing. We ordered more drinks which again took ages to arrive. The drinks arrived after we had finished. There was only 1 bar man on the upstairs bar. All the staff were running around the headless chickens, there is nowhere near enough members of staff to serve everyone. It is not my first visit but it will be my last. There are better smaller turkish restaurants with MUCH better service. This place seems to be all about £££'s and not enough about service

I had spotted this place a couple of weeks ago as I drove past, and it looked so nice on the outside (I know, not the best reason to visit a restaurant), I decided that we (my wife and I) would try it soon. Also, they have a carpark (big win!) So, tonight was the night! We were lucky enough to book a table for two but this was a Monday night and the place was maybe 80% full when we arrived (1930). We were greeted at the door and shown to our table. The fixtures and fittings, tables, décor, doors, lighting, even the toilets were stunning. This place has clearly had an expensive fit-out in the recent past. We ordered bread and hummus, and I had the Calamari starter. We weren’t expecting the portion size to be so big though, and by the end of the night, I regretted ordering so much. The food was excellent! The mains were lamb kleftiko (my missus) and I had the mixed grill. All of the food was faultlessly prepared and promptly served (piping hot). We also sneaked in a cheeky dessert each at the end (I don’t know how!). I love Turkish food, and can honestly say that this is some of the best I have ever had, anywhere. The staff were attentive and lovely, and as I’ve said, the décor is superb. I would thoroughly recommend a visit here, but make sure you book well ahead, esp for weekends.

Delicious food, can recommend everything we ate, charcoal grill, beyti, mixed meze starters, selection of desserts. Staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant is large and very busy on the Saturday night we attended, hence the courses were slow in coming out; so don’t arrive starving.

Helpful and accommodating staff. My family felt welcomed and at home. My daughter was encouraged to eat more, then given a fruit animal from the food counter. The food is always great quality.

We’d been recommended Mavi Ruya by quite a few people and decided to visit at 5:30 on a Tuesday and the place was very busy in fact by 7pm every table was taken. I have to say it really lived up to our high expectations. The place is decorated beautifully, very modern with a warm atmosphere. The food was all gorgeous. We had the mixed hot meze and the grill platter for two and every single mouthful was a delight. The meat was all char grilled to perfection and the meze dips were all fresh and vibrant. The calamari was probably the best I’ve ever had. The staff here are also absolutely amazing. A special shout out to Lucky who served us, he was so friendly, professional and polite which made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning. çok teşekkür ederim

Wow 2nd visit with the family. Again nothing was to much trouble for the staff. We had the mega meal for 4 to 5 as 4 adults and a 10 yr old. Lovely atmosphere and child friendly. We will be back highly recommend
