Overpriced place. Low value for money. Felt like they trying to charge for the building of this fancy place, not the food.

Went for 1st time recently for anniversary meal!. The good we had heard was not wrong, food was amazing and priced as expected & reasonably!. Atmosphere was great with a very busy restaurant filled woth happy diners, staff were very attentive without bothering you, so couldn't really fault it!. By far the best turkish/med style food we've had around sheffield!.

This place has gone down hill but increased the prices !! The food and service were both so below par it was unreal

Been to this place so many Times! We've always loved the food, loved the service and the atmosphere….. especially when its someones birthday. So we recommended some friends and we got the birthday shoutout dance and cake. However the portions including bread and dips were minimal for 4 adults, 4 kids. They used to give you so much. Then theres the prices now which are ludacris. We were under the impression the cake was on the house as we were not asked. Nope it came at an extra cost of £9.10…. 2 rose spritzers were £25. For x 3 chicken nuggets and chips. A sharer meal a couple of beers our bill was £328 and that was after we asked them to remove the extra service charge. So if you are a regular please check the prices as we didnt because weve been so many times. They have become greedy in a time where they have competition so for that reason… we will not be returning again. I cant fault the staff or the food but they have quadrupled on price.

Service was abysmal. Some things I can ignore for example I asked for no ice in my drink but I got ice, I asked for no salad on the food and still got salad. But the service was appalling. Me and my mum went tonight and we had a male waiter who made myself rather uncomfortable but carried on. But we asked him 4 times for the bill, he walked off every time and never came back with the bill, we was asked if we wanted desert with the menus in his hand when he came back for the 4th time which we made clear we don't wish to have desert we just want the bill so we can do. We then get approached by a women with the card machine saying I've been told you need to pay on card. But we never received the bill and just told to pay which we didn't do until we saw the bill. We asked for tips and service charge to be removed as it was horrendous and they removed tips but not service charge. We finally paid but it was our first time going but never again and won't be recommending to anyone who wishes to go. I cannot understand how they have the reviews they do. I have never been anywhere with service as poor as here. Food was okay but very bland with no flavour but the service let this place down drastically.

Great service, even when busy - good to book in advance as that's what they mainly do. Portion on certain things like rice a bit small, however.

We've been here a few times and the sharing platter is perfect for groups. Really good food and service 👌

Highly recommend, extremely good and the best in its class for Turkish food in Sheffield. Very freshly prepared and can't go wrong really especially at this price point.

First time we have been. We went lunchtime about 13:30. We had food off the Lunchtime menu. Very good choices in starters mains and sweets. Everything was spot on very tasty. The lady said portions were a bit smaller as being pensioners. Well we all left bloated and wouldn't have wanted anymore. My Son in Law who has hollow legs 😆 was also bloated so portions are not small.The staff were very friendly and professional. Excellent place would recommend it 💯 %

Really tasty food in a beautifully decorated building. Would just say it was a little loud for us. We were sat near the bar where they were making cocktails.

This restaurant has a nice ambiance to it. The decor is very nice and stylish. The staff are very friendly and happy which helps to create a pleasant event. But, beware! The food is at best average! And the prices all round are very extortionate. To rub salt into to wound, they then add a 12.5% service charge to your bill for serving you with food and drink at already over inflated prices. Sorry! Wouldn’t recommend. £290 for a family of four, then that service charge if 12.5%, REALLY!

Just back from an amazing meal. The food was delicious and the portions generous. The staff were very efficient and extremely friendly. We were given complimentary Turkish delight after the meal, which I typically don’t like, however this was so good and I could have happily eaten more. Highly recommend and will absolutely be returning.

Portions were perfect, meze dips were fab. Meat was exquisite. We will definitely be back.

We went on a Saturday with no booking, they fit us in without issue. Seated upstairs. Very attentive staff and the food was quick. £100 inc auto 12.5% tip for a small meze, extra bread, 3 soft drinks, chips, a mixed grill and a veggie main. So a little on the pricy side but as the food and staff were nice I dont mind. I would go again.

Been back to this amazing restaurant again , been here for family and friends birthdays and general evening meals with friends. The quality of the food is amazing and taste out of this world. Which is made even better with the happy and relaxed atmosphere, made by the amazing staff , which are so helpful. Can't wait until my next visit

Absolutely incredible place. Our family was passing through and decided to pop in for dinner at short notice. We were dressed comfortably as had a long drive so we were feeling under dressed but we still received absolutely impeccable service and made to feel very welcome. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was warm and had a great atmosphere- each time someone ordered a desert on their birthday a song was played and everyone clapped their hands. The food was outstanding - I am not often blown away when eating out but tonight I was. The only down side is it’s 4 hours away from my home… but I am still considering a night away in future so I can eat here again. Thank you so much x

Great NYE dinner. Very busy but didn’t impact quality in any way. Service was excellent and food was as it always is. It’s good simple quality fresh food. It seems to cater for all party sizes and everyone seemed to be having a great night. The belly dancer was a plus point and made the NYE’s visit memorable

It was excellent, both food and service.

The food lacked any semblance of flavour and the restaurant was also extremely loud and felt like a canteen, which made it difficult to hold a conversation. One of the cold starters tasted like an ashtray. All in all, a very disappointing culinary experience and overpriced food.

What a fantastic dining experience. We ate here today as a family of 5 for the first time. Very nice decor- tables which aren't squashed too closely and comfy seating. All the staff from front of house to table service were really pleasant and very efficient. The food we ate without exception was outstanding- compliments to the chefs. We will definitely be returning customers. Thank you.

Booked our Christmas Party here and opted for the set Christmas Menu. What can I say. The whole experience was brilliant. All of the staff were absolutely amazing; helpful and informative. Considering the restaurant was full and we had 13 people in our party, everything ran smoothly and the food came out hot and was just so tasty. Highly recommend the Mavi Ruya Special...what a treat for the eyes and the belly! I will definitely be returning and all of my staff said the same! Well done Mavi Ruya for making our Christmas Party special.

I was recommended this place from a friend so I decided to book for last night as it was my birthday. On arrival we was made to feel welcome and seated straight away. The service was fantastic and was recommended to try the sharer platter for 2 people which we did. The food was amazing 👏 and would definitely be coming back soon 😋. We'd heard reports that this place was good; it's fantastic. The whole atmosphere of the place on both floors and outside makes you feel welcome and wanted immediately you enter. The service is fast, friendly and very informative and the food is excellent. There's a great variety and you find yourself looking at all the dishes being served around you, often with envy. Great beer, I recommend the Tuborg Gold and a good choice of wines. All in all, a great dining and social experience. One tip, book well in advance. Update: went again on Saturday 16th November- again, FANTASTIC.

A mid week visit and the atmosphere was vibrant. The food was excellent and plentiful. The service we received was warm and friendly with a special reference for Leo who was charming and helpful. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant but advise you book in advance as it is very busy. You won’t be disappointed.

My goodness what a wonderful place! I’m so sad I didn’t try it sooner!!! Firstly the warm welcome by the guy at the door who checked our reservation then the wonderful food! The platter for 2 was wonderful, the food was full of flavours and the service was impeccable! All the staff are very engaging! I would definitely recommend this place especially for special occasions as they have such as good atmosphere for celebrations ❤️

Great food, great service! Because it’s such a popular spot, it’s always packed in here therefore it is a little hard to hear the people in your own party sat right opposite you. The staff are always really welcoming and are very happy to celebrate any birthdays/occasions with you! The food, drink, and service is always on point. Beautiful Baba Ghanoush too!

Kuzu Beyti tastes nothing but smoke no spice or anything, Mavj Rüya special was very entertaining and delicious. Prices are too high for seemingly no reason. Return would be very unlikely.

It began as a charming eatery in Sheffield, known for its quality and inviting atmosphere. However, over time, I’ve noticed a decline, likely due to an increased focus on commercialism and a diminishing sense of customer care. The experience now feels rushed—you're seated, place your order, the food is served, and before you've had a chance to fully enjoy your meal, the plates are swiftly cleared, sending the clear message that it’s time to leave. Unfortunately, the personal touch and class that once made it special seem to have faded.

This was our first visit as we came from Doncaster, I can highly recommend this restaurant the food was outstanding, the best lamb chops we've ever tried, three of us went and we will return, the staff showed us around the restaurant, even took us upstairs to there other bar and seating area, I can only praise the staff for their hospitality and professionalism .

Absolutely Fabulous place, the food is divine. I’ve eaten around the world and if I could chose somewhere to eat authentic Turkish food this would be the place I would come every time. Quality deserves merit and this place doesn’t disappoint with the electric atmosphere and friendly staff. I hear they are expanding too and no doubt this will be a future franchise!!

Our second visit to Mavi Ruta and it didn't disappoint again. We shared the larger platter between 4 and it was a great feed. The meat is incredibly tasty and well cooked, with a beautiful charcoal flavour. Honestly the only thing I would change is adding a few local craft beers on tap.

Amazing service even when very busy! We managed to get a table without a booking but do recommend booking in advance because we arrived quite early and it got very busy later on. Mocktails were very tasty!

Superb food - great service - you could tell all the ingredients were really fresh - the service was prompt without being rushed - the staff were very friendly - their warm baklava dessert suggestion was spot on - really tasty and the lamb shish was excellent, every ingredient fresh and tasty - will be our first choice when we return to Sheffield next time

We were so impressed with this place. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes, giving lots of info on the restaurant itself which was interesting. The food was exquisite, really professional (Michelin Star worthy I'd say) and delivered to the table really quickly. Loads of vegetarian options with a gorgeous vegan & gluten free main which I had. Really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!

I could not recommend this restaurant more! The great service started even before we arrived - I called earlier to ask if they had a quieter table if possible as one of my family is hard of hearing. When we arrived, the manager gave us tables to choose from. The service throughout the night was friendly and attentive, even though it was a busy Friday evening. The food was excellent - Meze platter to start with great flavours. Mains of lamb, chicken, pide and Adana - all tasted fantastic and full of flavour. The best Adana we had had in the UK! Deserts were again incredible - the warm baklava and cheesecake both tasted amazing. Portions were generous too. Wine was lovely and all for £200 for four of us. Will definitely be back here, such a lovely evening and memorable food

Good food,the waiter advised me what to have as I didn't want a plate piled with food even though it was probably the cheapest on menu,but it was delicious.
