Food is okay, but portion size is very small for a main.

Well it did look nice inside when we were expecting a table to be reserved especially when we booked it ages ago.. Sorry to say No .. just made poor excuses about there customers being late.. Not good at all .

We booked a table for 8 2 weeks ago in person and even personally wrote my contact details in the book next to the booking. We arrived in good time for our booking only to be told there were no tables, they hadn't even set one up with a reserved sign. We were told to come back in a bit and other diners were blamed for taking longer to eat than usual. No sign of an apology until I pointed out that they could have at least rung me to advise of the situation and this was met with shrugs and that "they" didn't make the booking. I even opened the booking diary myself and my booking and contact details were clearly there for the right time and date, what's the point of having a booking system if you aren't going to use it? Very poor service, luckily another restaurant was able to accommodate us at short notice and benefitted from the situation.

Booked a table for 8 people 2 weeks in advance by walking in. When the day came we all turned up 5mins early to get told that there isn’t a table available and it may take 20-30mins. The restaurant was full up and the tables were waiting for food. We knew it was going to take longer! No apology and the 2 lady’s were confused. Their reservation book even had the booking we made with contact number. They couldav atleast rang us up to tell us that they were full. Bad service and the staff are clueless. Will never go here again!

Went tonight. Got the last available table and we were thrilled. We shared stuffed vine leaves to start and then had the grilled chicken and the spicy lamb mince kebabs. Wow, they were both delicious. Can recommend and we will be going back. The service was very good with friendly staff, and prices were reasonable

But really they have very kind staff and the chef cooks the food in front of you and its fresh and amazing ... If I visit Sheffield again, I will surly eat here again. After finishing my meal, I was speechless—I found a hair in my rice. It was fine and soft, clearly not mine. I reported the issue to the manager and even suggested comparing it with my own hair to confirm. To my surprise, he quickly picked it up and threw it away, then smiled and said, “There, problem solved!” I was furious. Your food had a hygiene issue, yet instead of apologizing or addressing it seriously, the manager tried to dismiss it like it was no big deal. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend this place. While the food was good, I can’t stand the manager’s attitude.

This place is so cosy. Love the open grill at the front. We were a table of 7 on a Saturday evening. Service was very friendly, food was brought out quick and we got a variety of dishes not just from the grill. Portions are just right to have that satisfaction feeling. When you eat somewhere that's nice then the last thing you want to do is feel overstuffed. It's a gem of a place in Sheffield.

Lamb ribs were delicious, the chicken kebab was good and the rice was tasty. The place was full at 5 pm on a Saturday, and we were fortunate to get seats without a reservation.

Solía encantar este restaurante - lo hemos recomendado a tanta gente en los últimos dos años, pero los precios han subido considerablemente y el tamaño de la porción ha bajado. En nuestra última visita el baño había estado fuera de servicio desde temprano esa tarde y el personal no nos dijo cuándo entramos (hasta que necesitábamos usarlo) No se había hecho ningún plan de contingencia y ninguna compensación ofrecida tuvimos que apresurar la comida para poder ir a otro pub a usar baños (teníamos niños con nosotros). Hubiera sido un buen servicio al cliente decir - “fuera de nuestro control, pero por favor tome el 10% de la factura de alimentos” o algo así Esa es la última vez que vamos a ir aquí 😞 que es una pena, ya que la comida es increíble

Food was absolutely fantastic I had a mixed grill all the meat was cooked perfect and full of flavour. Service was quick and the staff were amazing. Super friendly atmosphere, will be going back!

Terrible service I was one of their customers for two years. I did not eat grilled food in any other places. However, recently, I went several times, and I dined. The staff was rude. Like I am eating free as a favour from them. The restaurant is relatively small and crowded with an unsafe design with a tiny walkway. The food is excellent and pricey, but the service is awful. Other competitions in Sheffield need to be tried, such as Marmaris and Zeugma.

Food is undoubtedly nice. I've had many meals from Turkish restaurants in England and a few in Turkey. After I ordered my food no-one spoke to me at all. This is the only restaurant I've not tipped in the past 30 years. Go figure! NOT the best in Sheffield...go further down West St or to London Rd.

Realmente somos bendecidos en Sheffield cuando se trata de restaurantes turcos de primera categoría y este es otro de los que tenía a la lista, la meze caliente y fría eran frescos y vibrantes y deliciosos, especialmente el hígado albanés salteado, dos de nuestra fiesta suelen odiar el hígado y accidentalmente comieron algunos pensando que era cordero, les encantó tanto que pidieron la receta. Las parrillas mixtas literalmente no podrían haber sido cocinados mejor que eran perfectos. Mi hija quisquillosa comió una pizza y wow una sartén profunda llena de 10 ” con el tirón de queso más grande que he visto que le encantó. El restaurante es solo pequeño, pero muy acogedor y acogedor y la comida está a la parrilla justo en frente de usted. Muy recomendable

I've eaten here multiple times over the last 2 years and ha e yet to have a bad experience. The food is sublime, the atmosphere is great and the service Impeccable. Its easily my favourite restaurant in the city. It is a popular place so I recommend booking. As its located in the middle of the city parking can be hard to find. Either paid street parking if you can find a space or go to carver Street car park and a short walk up the road to Jimmy's. 10/10 would recommend.

Would give food 4 stars if portions were bigger, overall 3 stars due to small portions and expensive prices, won't mind paying what they ask for if I would get bigger portion, Istanbul restaurant down the road have comparable prices with bigger portions plus they do set offers for 2 or 4 ppl with even better prices, those offers include hot or cold starters, mains and desert.

So Jimmys kitchen it’s compact for sure. This is not somewhere to go for a romantic meal as it’s busy and at times a bit loud. Portion size good food cooked fresh in front of you.staff friendly and reasonably attentive. So good value for money and fresh food. The lamb chop was a touch bland the chicken and the lamb skewer were very good and full of flavour . Overall a good experience would go again if in Sheffield .

Discovered Jimmy's during our stay in Sheffield and overall had a pleasant dining experience. The food was undeniably delicious, though we were slightly surprised that the traditional Turkish bread starter didn't come with ezme or any dip as we're accustomed to. Nonetheless, the service was excellent, and the flavors of the dishes were top-notch. We'd certainly consider returning. An added bonus was the authentic Turkish music playing in the background, adding to the ambiance of the meal.

If anyone has an appetite and is looking for a family meal, this place is not it. The taste is good but the quantity is very little, Turkish and Lebanese cuisine as reflected by the culture is hearty in quantity and has always been famous around the world because of their massive hospitable nature, as someone from the Middle East. I did not like the profit oriented nature of the restaurant. Please it is recommended there should be value of money for the food being offered.

Way back from our Peak District excursion’ came across this Turkish Delightful corner’ Brace up pls I’m gonna be brutal here’ Food tasted mmm good but the portion was just the bite size. Mixed grill and Ali Nazik just disappeared at blink of eye, as we also had a movie to catch so didn’t extra order. Appetizing Bread box which is a Turkish hospitality charm was also missing. If you got a big appetite pls turn a blind eye to this spot and u can grab ur on the go Mac. The only absolute joy to remember is the serving lady’ what an epitome of grace and beauty’

Unprofessional and burnt food. Staff looked aloof to us but warmly welcomed her friends in a super loud voice. Also, it’s an embarrassing experience that the restaurant asked only cash payment when we didn’t bring any cash. I heard normally the contactless payment doesn’t work. Hope this could be improved despite your own reasons, because it makes customers feel rude.

I think this place has changed hands and not for the better. I shall not be returning. Went along for lunch as they always used to have a good lunch deal. Given menus of large main courses/starters which differed massively to my previous visit. Couple on the next table overheard me mention to my friend that there were always lunch deals and told me that I should ask the server for the lunch menu as they definitely did lunch deals. We eventually got the lunch menus. So in other words, they were trying to hide the lunch menu and upsell larger meals. Service was generally rude. Ketchup was by far the worst red coloured, viscous, liquidy thing I've ever tasted. When I came to pay, I was told it was cash only despite not see any signs stating this. I was sent to the nearest cash point while my friend waited in the restaurant. The cash point was out of order. I came back intending to let them know I was going to have go find another cash point when lo and behold, she appeared with card machine saying they accept card. Rude, shady, poor service - disingenuous. Such a shame as used to be a good buzz in there. One star rating for the wrap but everything else was just so, so poor.

It's one of the best restaurants in Sheffield for sure in terms of quality. I've tried several dishes here, and all of them were of high quality and tasted great. The service, however, is not as great. Sometimes, you might feel rushed, as they try to hurry you out to accommodate more people.

Love Turkish food so I've eaten here a couple of times. Only small so I'd advise that you book. We went at 5.30pm on a Saturday and they were turning walk ins away as they were full. I had the cheese pastry rolls, lamb shish and baklava. All delicious. Portions are quite large so go hungry. Service is good, the lady who served us was very pleasant and the food arrived in good time. There were 5 of us who went and it worked out at about £20 to£25 per person which I didn't think was too bad.

Lovely turkish restaurant with lots of options and delicious food! Great staff and atmosphere, and the food came out so quick. The restaurant gets a little hot from the grill, but definitely worth it because the food is so fresh and juicy. My friends and I got the Adna each (we didn’t find it spicy) and garlic bread to share and it was all very good. Firstly, big portion size, the rice was amazing so fluffy and flavourful, the meat was soft and cooked to perfection, the bread was fresh and the salad was fine. The garlic bread was surprisingly very good and came with two dipping sauces - chilli and yogurty flavours. We also got a few desserts and the Kunefe with pistachio was amazing. Never had anything like it , I would definitely recommend. The cheesecake was frozen on the inside which my friend didn’t personally mind. Overall would rate the restaurant 4.4/5! I will be coming back to try other items on the menu!! Each spent around 20£. What we got: Adna (spicy minced lamb skewers), garlic bread, baklava, kunefe with pistachio and cheesecake.

The waitress/owners wife with blonde hair, mid 40s is always friendly and welcoming. We've been going for years and she always remembers us and our small daughter who's been going there since a newborn. Good food and service.

Having read previous reviews, clearly the waitress (mid 40s, blonde hair) is an issue. She gave dirty looks to us, provided terrible customer service, ignoring us when we needed the bill. However she seemed to talk to certain other customers fine (seems like it is a race issue). Absolutely disgusting. Will not be returning. And making sure people I know that go there will also not return. Horrible woman.

I thought I was going to be the only one pointing out the infamous waitress customer service (mid 40s blonde hair), but after reading the comments, I was not surprised. I read here that she could be the owners/co-owners wife, which would absolutely explain her rude, sarcastic and careless behaviour. PS: THE FOOD IS GREAT, the guy and chef behind the till are GREAT. But since it seems like they are not addressing this waitress, allowing her to continue to mistreat customers for some reason nor responding to customers, I'll leave 1 star. If you don't like customer service as she doesn't, DONT DO THE JOB.

Wow this place is incredible. I can’t believe I have been past it so many times over the years and only just been. The place is cosy with stunning smells from the open kitchen. Service was prompt, prices reasonable and food was so fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back.

My recent visit to Jimmy's Kitchen was an absolute delight. I had the pleasure of savoring a selection of incredible dishes and a delightful alcoholic drink. We started with Haydari, a creamy and flavorful appetizer that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The Mixed Grill was a carnivore's dream, offering a variety of succulent meats that were perfectly grilled and seasoned. The Sucuk, a type of Turkish sausage, was a delightful surprise - its robust flavor and slightly spicy kick left a lasting impression. And, of course, we couldn't leave without trying the Kunefe, a sweet and indulgent dessert that was the perfect conclusion to our meal. One of the highlights of our visit was the exceptional service, with a special shoutout to Mediha. Her warm and friendly approach, coupled with her extensive knowledge of the menu, made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She took the time to describe the chef's special dishes in detail, helping us make informed choices. To complement our meal, we decided to try Raki, an anise-flavored alcoholic drink. Its unique taste perfectly accompanied our dishes and added to the overall experience. Overall, Jimmy's Kitchen exceeded our expectations. The quality and authenticity of the food, combined with the outstanding service and delightful beverages, made our visit truly memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a fantastic dining experience.

Food was amazing and the restaurant was very smart, however the service was very poor. Miserable waitresses who were totally unbothered about anyone/anything and then refused to give me full change when I paid in cash (I’m a student, can’t help it). If the service were better, I would have of course tipped. Great food but average experience

it's a shame because the food is brilliant. but the staff are rude and the service is poor. our total came to £32, the lady left and when we asked for change she said she would give us £5 back. doesn't state they are fully cash only now anywhere either.

The Adana kebab was very spicy. We asked if the seafood pasta was spicy and they said no but it was - so kids couldn’t have it. Disappointed high prices won’t be returning. For better quality will stick with Zeugma.

Don’t be put off that it’s a restaurant on West Street in town, it’s actually some of the best Turkish food in Sheffield - the kebabs are out of this world and even the rice is cooked so perfectly. Try the bread and mixed dips as a starter… perfect to get your taste buds going! You can even see them preparing and cooking the food front of you! Go and visit Jimmy’s Kitchen… you won’t regret it!

Food is hit and miss for me. I got the Cimikoglu special, abit on the pricier side for this type of food but not too bad. I did enjoy my meal, it was flavourful and portions was good. The pasta on the other hand I wasn’t big fan of, maybe just not upto my taste but definitely enjoyed the cimikoglu and the sujuk starter. Service was welcoming. Does get busy quickly. May come again, overall would give it 7/10.

Eaten here many times before, and whilst the food is still great, the service has really gone downhill. Both waitresses who served our table were so rude, miserable and snatched the money off the table at the end. The restaurant is now cash only which I feel you should be notified of when you enter.
