Master Barista in Harlow

Not gutted today if I’m honest , I’m a real regular customer at both master and sevine, I take lots of people along for drinks food etc , the girls in there are amazing x I called to reserve a table two days ago for about 15 people for coffee and breakfast as it’s my birthday and a Xmas get together do it every year and never a problem, being honest the manager was very interested in my booking and made it a hot of an issue but said as long as I’m in there by 11 he will sort it out , arrived today and no booking and then said we don’t reserve tables Although there was a table reserved for 8 already , we went to sevine instead and he then advised me they were the same restaurant which if he knew his customers well enough he would realise I would of known that I was let down badly today not a birthday I wanted and if there had been another restaurant I would of gone rather than take my business to the same company , it’s a real shame as I usually feel so welcome and looked after but the two chaps have made me feel like they don’t really care , this is no reflection on the ladies that serve you as they are amazing x

Great menu selection. Lovely helpful staff who knew exactly what we needed. Didn’t feel pressured to leave. Recommend the spaghetti and the caesar wrap.

I won’t be going back. Was pounced on to order as soon as we arrived and then, as soon as we finished, we were asked to leave as they had people waiting! Shocking customer service and feels like money means more than how people are treated.

Have been to this place on many occasions and always had good service with very friendly staff. However today we ordered our lunch and received our drinks order , we waited 40 minutes without any food arriving we tried to attract someone’s attention which was difficult , when finally someone deemed to speak to us it we were informed that there was a technical issue !!! However other customers who came in after us were served while we sat like idiots waiting. They had clearly forgot our order completely as when we brought this to their attention they begun putting the order through. !!! I understand problems can happen but no apology was offered or given , we informed them that we were not prepared to wait and paid for our drinks and left ! They didn’t seem bothered at all about the poor service and couldn’t have cared less!!! Not sure we will be returning any time soon ! Shame…

Walked passed this busy cafe for the last few months and finally gave it a go. Lovely decor, welcoming and professional service, great menu offering freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches and cakes and on top of that fantastic coffee. Ignore the poor reviews this cafe is the real deal. Will be back..

Very nice presentation and quality of food was just as good as it looked. Definitely coming again. Recommend to anyone who has the chance to eat here.

I have been into this cafe many times for breakfast and lunch etc ,Went in this morning on my own as needed to eat due to my diabetes , was very busy but managed to find a free table to be approached by a member of staff telling me I couldn’t sit at that table as it was a table for 3 people , I explained I needed to eat and she said the table is only for 3 people not 1 person so you can’t sit there. So I had to leave because here was no other table . This behaviour by business is disgusting and proves they only want to make money . The lack of respect that they had for me was unacceptable. And god forbid a person on their own try and eat here , what if a person is newly widowed ? Or lonely , and just wanted to get out and eat , how bad would that person feel leaving that place . They should be ashamed of themselves .

Poached eggs not cooked properly. Manager is extremely arrogant. He informed me that his cousin is the owner so no point in complaining.

As someone who has eaten at Master Barista many times and brought family to eat here - I was shocked when I tried to return my order (of pancakes) for them being too dry, and obviously microwaved pancakes. Expecting an apology for the below standard food, I instead had the manager tell me I will not get a refund as i had taken some bites out of the pancake (I endured a few bites of the pancake before I returned). I explained the situation and he resisted, patronised me and refused to take any money off the bill at all. Never would I expect such a response for something so petty from staff of a place I visited often over the years. I won’t be coming back, I’d suggest others don’t either in the event of you (god forbid) challenging the quality of their food.

Visited this weekend and had to wait over 40 minutes for food to be brought out. Food was cold when it arrived. Had to remind waitress that I was still waiting for my drink. Family next to us were also unhappy with food and service.

Wonderful experience, I messaged out of hours about booking, they replied and we had a lovely time, great food and service 5* will visit again. Thank you

My first visit. Really good service. Great coffee and cake. A really nice venue. Nice location overlooking shops in the nice part of harlow town centre. I had a chocolate cake and a latte. Both really nice.

If you ask me what I like at Master Barista I'll say everything,and I mean everything. Design,style,food,staff always greet you at the doors. The restaurant always is occupied, and that's telling a lot. Only to the best places are busy and people's want to come again and again. 5✨️

We had not been here before, but what a great place, the food is very fresh, & the coffee is of such a standard, much better than the most popular coffee shops nearby.

What a gem! Stopped here for a breakfast with friends when passing through the area. We all had a full English and it was superb. The staff were excellent. The place is nicely decorated with a good atmosphere.

We enjoyed an excellent breakfast with good tea & coffee. The Service is first class and within a Comfortable restaurant with pleasant atmosphere.
