Went here for an Indian not expecting too much for a coastal town. Excellent service, excellent choices and the food was actually very good and full of flavour.

Absolutely nothing to complain about. Family friendly with highchairs available, good food, reasonable prices. The staff were also very pleasant. Will definitely be returning again. As an FYI, while it says BYO for drinks, they do have a small range for sale there so no real need to.

Had a takeaway from here as was staying at Perran Sands. I highly recommend the food and great value for money.

We call this little find the '5pm curry' as it's open early for those who are ravenous from a day on the waves. Great value, wonderfully attentive staff and dishes with plenty of kick. I used to live on London's Brick Lane and the dhansak here is better than any I've had in the East End. Just get there early as it's quite small and tables (understandably) get booked up fast.

We have been coming here regularly over the past year, the food is ok and the bring your own drink really good value however the last time we went we were told we were not allowed to bring our own drink, seemly so they can make tourists pay full price over the summer. It was very embarrassing the way it was handled and the bring your own drink offer is still on the menu which must really confuse people. We left and went to the Indian restaurant next door whose policy is clear (no bring your own) and loved it so we won't be coming back here ever again.

We loved our food here tonight. We had a lamb saag, chicken tikka massala and a chicken korma. 3 nights ago, we had a takeaway of various different bits, which was also lovely. They were all so flavoursome, shame there wasn't more meat, but the quality of food was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and we'd be happy to return.

Takeaway arrived and dishes short , phoned and explained we were dishes short and although they acknowledged it was their mistake and apologised, they said they would deliver the dishes or refund the amount paid , I opted for dishes ( as family needed the dishes to share)...half hour passed, and hour .....non were delivered !! Sad really because the restaurant must be aware the property's they deliver to are Holiday rents and simply couldn't care less if their service is poor and fall below the minimum standard ☹️

Ordered takeaway, which turned out to be a tad tasteless and very watery. Poppadoms weren't stale but we would have said they were fresh either.

We went for the Sunday buffet. All the food was really tasty and it was cheap too - just £15/head. And you can bring your own drinks in too.

This is the second time we have had a take away whilst on holiday. We weren’t disappointed. Staff were friendly and polite when we collected our food. The food itself was plentiful and absolutely delicious. We will definitely use when we visit in September.

Our family came down beginning of December and stayed at Goonhaven and we went to collect at least 6 different mains plus starters, all I can say was wow and more wows, we have lived down here for 18 years and finally found the best take away xx

Had family staying at goonhaven went and got a takeaway 5 different dishes plus starters all i can say is the food was absolutely delicious no complaints of anyone will be driving from newquay for a takeaway thats how good it was thanks guys see you soon.

This restaurant is very efficiently run by friendly staff. A good choice of dishes on the menu and a wide selection of drinks. The curry was first class. Limited on street parking. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food! Our regular place for Indian cuisine. They have a small bar but you can bring your own, which is probably why the place is rammed! Booking is essential.

We’ve just had the best selection of curry’s ever from masalla. We’re on holiday, and we usually use a different Indian. After a bad experience last year with the other one we decided to try masalla this year and I can’t believe how good it is. The price was reasonable, the website easy to navigate to order online, the delivery was on time and the driver called me when 5 minutes away. Will definitely order again.

For someone who doesn't do curries this was great. I had a mild korma which was delicious 😋.

Great food and friendly service. Squeezed us in without a reservation and made us feel welcome. Vindaloo was close to one of the best I've ever had, chicken was tender and blended with the right amount of spices so that you could taste the chicken. Peshwari naan was so light and fluffy, nicest I've ever had. Definitely recommend. Thank you and well done guys 👌

While my food was ok (chicken saag), one of our group had gristly chicken, and the tarka dhall tasted of fish, very unpleasant. The pilau rice had weird fluorescent green pieces. If we get another takeaway this week, it won’t be from here.

Absolutely the best Indian anywhere near Newquay, where I live for half the year. I always make a special trip to this place when I’m in need of a curry. The Makhani is delightful, as is the coconut rice and garlic naan. I’m from Manchester so I know a good curry when I taste one.

A group of eleven of us all had excellent curries, well spiced and full of flavour, from Korma's through to the "hottest". Great staff, a vibrant atmosphere and BYOB too.

Ordered a meal form here tonight and it was very poor. I had 2 balti dishes both lamb and they were lacking in flavour and extremely salty. The chicken in my mixed starter was under cooked. My daughters tika massala was ok but not great. Overall would not recommend this place.

Good food, we ordered and picked up, the chicken Tikka pieces were delicious. Would be good to some kebab options on the menu!

Don’t hesitate! The food is stunning. Packed with flavour, delicious tender lamb & chicken tikka. Onion Bhaji super crispy, pilau mushroom rice was so flavourful … honestly one of the best takeaways we’ve eaten. We enjoyed it so much we forgot to even take a photo! Will be back again for sure

First time visiting this restaurant & Cornwall. Was looking for a Halal Indian Restaurant and this place came up. I called the restaurant only an hour before closing and they where happy to accommodate. The owner and his team always had a smile on their faces and was clearly known by the regular customers, we was asked on numerous occasions if the food was good and if everything was OK. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I'll definitely be visiting this place again on my 2nd family trip to Cornwall. If your looking for a Halal Indian, look no further. 5 Stars.

As a Canadian, I have eaten Indian food many times in Canada. This was my first experience eating British Indian food. I hate to say that it was not what I'm used to. Both the tikka masala and korma were incredibly sweet, which is not how I have ever eaten them before. Not sure if this is just this restaurant or how British Indian food always is.

We had a last min big order and they took great care of us. Also it was one of the best curries we have had and the whole group was delighted. The food was delicious and I hope to go back again! Very kind and generous service too!

Just treated my family to a takeaway for my husbands 60th birthday. Absolutely awful....chicken was chewy, the sauce ran through the rice, portions small. Spoilt the evening!!! Avoid this place.

Just had takeaway and absolutely disappointed, no taste bland, not very spicy, container three quarters full with literally 5 pieces of chicken , no pickles with popadons , for saying its a balti found curry dry and no sauce . Definitely never order again from you again

Our first visit and we had a lovely meal. They were happy to cater to our needs and the food was wonderful. Note: the restaurant is now licenced which we were unaware of so we'd taken our own beer and they were happy to let us drink our own. We had a pleasant evening and the waiters were very polite and friendly.

Found the food to be extremely bland. Ordered a curry which was labelled as medium hot l but wasn't spicy in the slightest. Very disappointing

Was ready in 40 minutes which was really good for the size of the order. Food was amazing, especially the Chicken Tikka Masala. I'd go as far to say it was the best version of the dish I've ever had. There were a couple of items missing however, including a naan bread and a saag paneer. The restaurant admitted their fault with no complaints and drove out to where we were staying to deliver those items with a few poppadoms to say sorry. This only took 15 minutes so we were still eating by the time they arrived which meant there was little disturbance. Mistakes can happen but most importantly they worked hard to rectify it. Would definitely recommend.

Been here many times over the years and has always been good but this time not so good. I ordered 3 poppadoms and 3 cartons of onions, which the onions were nothing like what we have at home, ordered 2 chapattis that looked more like a wholemeal wrap, horrible thing it was, they went in the bin. Then ordered 2 chicken tikka madras with rice, I looked at the bill when I got back to the caravan as we were on holiday, to find they'd charged 1 chicken curry £7-50 + tikka £1, the next curry which was the same was £8-50 + tikka, 2 different prices and the curry was like water and nothing like a madras, I know they were busy with takeaways as there was nobody in the restaurant and the phone never stopped ringing, I was told it would be 40 mins, but arrived in 25 mins, cost was just over £32 which I don't think it was the best value for the money, will definitely be go to the Maharaja in Newquay next time as always been 5 star there.

Absolutely delicious food, quick delivery and good prices!

Ordered food for a takeaway early evening. Included a portion of onion bhaji that were simply inedible. Burnt over fried and how could they send that standard of food out. Told them about my disappointment. Too far away to return. Hope nobody else has this experience. However, the main meals were simply stunning. Flavoursome and different. I would alter my score to a four star. But please don't let dodgy bhajis go out like that.
