Incredible Indian food and top service. We have eaten here on a Saturday night three times now and each time it has been outstanding. I am in love with the Paneer Lababdar and my partner has enjoyed several different curries. The naan breads are cooked fresh and the best I’ve ever eaten. The staff welcome and treat you very well. Just superb. A couple of times it’s been warm enough to sit out in the raised decking garden - very pleasant experience.

Our second time visiting this restaurant. It was Saturday lunchtime and quieter than our previous visit on a Saturday evening when it was very busy so we had time to talk to the owners and learn their ethos for the restaurant.They are big on using quality ingredients to prepare freshly made dishes and the chef/owner is indeed a talented man serving meals that are elegant as well as delicious. We had popadoms and pickles while we chose from a wide range of dishes including a number you don’t see on everyday Indian menus. My wife had rava prawns to start and they were exquisite. I had a very tasty sheek kebab. For our main course she had a beautiful lamb dish which actually was lamb, young and tender not the usual mutton you sometimes get. I had a fantastic mango fish curry with an interesting range of rice and breads from which to choose. We were pretty full by then but we managed some pistachio and mango kulfi for dessert. I have been eating Indian and Bangladeshi food in Bristol for over 50yrs and I have no hesitation in say this is the best I’ve had. The food is not only delicious but is beautifully presented too. The price for all of this and four drinks was a very reasonable £80 which by today’s prices is good value, bearing in mind we are not talking about the common or garden Indian restaurant serving food of a lesser standard. If you haven’t been give it a try. Talk to the charming manageress/owner who will if necessary guide you through any unfamiliar dishes. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Very quiet but service very good and we had lots of advice from the owner as to what to order. The food was good. I would have liked more drinks options, rose wine or small processco?

Visited here recently with a friend. I ordered a saag panner and veg fried rice and she ordered a saag panner with meat and veg fried rice. Food was great. Lovely staff. Would recommend.

One of the best Indians I have had in the UK and Bristol. Fresh ingredients, came out in time, great atmosphere been here a few times now and each time have been very impressed, so has friends and family

Walked in at 6pm without a booking, 5 minutes later another group of 3 walk in. We both ask for walk in tables on a busy night and the waitress says she will talk to the manager. The manager came out and obviously new the other guys and gave them a table. Then said to us its an hour and a half wait, thanks. Went somewhere else.

Large choice of food options ( perhaps too large ) and the quality was great.. portions are a good size and of high standard. Staff very attentive .

We visited at 6 o'clock on a Saturday evening, 4 adults and one 15 month old. The food was wonderful - unusual menu, not your "usual" curry house fare, and it tasted really delicious. We will definitely go back. In addition to the fabulous food, the atmosphere was great, other people eating, even at that early hour. The staff were brilliant, happy, smiling people who were really lovely to our grandson.

We were very impressed from the moment we arrived. Lovely modern decor, clean, comfortable seating & excellent service and food. The staff were all really good & we saw lots of happy faces. We've had a lot of Indian food in our time, & this was up there with the best. The Lamb Shank Rogan Josh was as good as it gets, & the sides & other curries were too. We brought a doggy bag home with us as the portions were very good. Meeting the owner before we left was a nice way to finish a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit and we were very impressed from the moment we arrived. Excellent service throughout our meal: drinks and food arrived extremely quickly and the staff were efficient and helpful. The pickle tray was conservative with the chutneys so a slightly greater portion would be welcomed. Both chicken curries were brilliant; the chicken felt apart beautifully and flavours all round were fabulous. The pilau rice was cooked to perfection and the garlic naan was the best we’ve had. One star deducted as the service charge was automatically included and we prefer to give a tip based on our experience of the evening. We will definitely be returning and passing our recommendations on. Thank you.

I didn’t read the reviews before going for a family meal so I have to say I’m surprised reading them now. Perhaps it’s taken a while to get running but I have to say my experience was all good. The delicious smells when you enter gave a clue for what was to come. The menu features a number of dishes not seen on the usual offerings from South Asian restaurants and my amrisari fried fish starter was one of these along with a number of others. Everyone else in our party declared their food to be excellent and despite some reviews the number of people packing the restaurant early evening clearly disagree also. The portions were generous and all we couldn’t eat got boxed to take home and enjoy later. The tables are too close together but other than that I can find no fault. The service was good and friendly and I will certainly be going again.

If you are looking for a Fawly Towers themed Indian estaurant then this is the place for you. Turned up table not ready. So any tables crammed in the restaurant there is no area to wait and have a drink, so either hover at the bar or take your life in your hands and sit outside. The terrace area is reached by steep steps with minimum head height which leads to timber decking with a built in trip hazard which everybody who came out stumbled over!! Back inside basic tables not laid out with conflicting menus. Four starters arrive... no cutlery. Three sets turn up. Plates cleared, two bare main plates. After nearly 90 mins from when seated mains arrive. Asked for salt an was presented with for napkins!!! Salt never arrived. I could go on. Basically the waiting staff have no idea whatsoever about what is going on. The noise in there was deafening, so much so that when my main arrived I had two mouthfuls and boxed the rest up to take home. Onion bhajis bland but excellent veg biriani. BASIL,BASIL......!!!!

Reading the reviews, we were a little worried, but we shouldn’t have been - the food was delicious! Service was a little slow but it was VERY busy there and it is a new restaurant so a few teething issues are to be expected. Certainly not a bad experience and we really rated the food in comparison to other local places.

Dreadful service, seated 20 mins past booking time. Menus not consistent for all 4 of us so one was about to order chicken instead of a veggie dish - luckily noticed by one of our party, staff indifferent to this and just put menu back in with the rest. Only 3 plates brought for 4 diners, no condiments despite requesting them, nor hand wipes at end of meal. Food overall was ok but Aldi onion bhaji’s are way nicer. More of a cafe setting than restaurant due to lack of tablecloths etc and very noisy. Wouldn’t ever go back again!

We were the only ones in the restaurant but still had to wait a while to be served, ordered drinks and then our food order, my partners came first and I had to wait a good 10 minutes for mine despite the fact we were the only people there?? Not very good, the food was average but disappointed at the service.

I had lunch with my daughter 💕 it was fantastic best curry ever we both agreed we would go again I would recommend it to everyone all cooked to order and it shows absolutely brilliant can't wait to go back

Food was good and freshly cooked. However the restaurant has clearly been opened in haste and the tables are very cramped and are of poor quality. The restaurant was full however the staff are not capable of serving customers and are just walking around not attending to anyone. Our poppadoms were brought out without the pickle tray, that did eventually arrive. It took 40 minutes for our order to be taken. We had to ask 3 times for a glass of water. There was one lady trying to tend to all tables. This restaurant has potential but staff need training and they need to remove some tables so that customers have space to breath.

Terrible service and staff completely unable to cope. Not enough tables put out for our group booking, when an extra table was eventually put out no cutlery or plates were provided, even when these were requested they weren’t brought out until after popadoms had been eaten. Staters we’re missed and when chased up they were brought out with real attitude and the oversight was blamed on us!! Some drinks were also missed, again it was made out to be our fault. When mains arrived only three portions of rice were brought out, the rest were missed, when this was raised with them it was made out to be our fault once again, and by the time the rice was brought out the mains had gone cold. There was also a hair in one of the meals. Most of our group were so disgusted with the service they complained and instead of any form of apology they were accused of inciting people to complain. The rest of our group didn’t eat much of their meal and refused to pay, however as my husband and I actually had our meals brought out together we decided to pay. Naively we thought that there were would be some sort of apology, however after our money was taken we were told ‘restaurants can make mistakes’ and ‘you’ve chosen to pay’. The whole meal was a complete fiasco and ruined my friends birthday. At no time was there any form of apology and the staff had a really bad attitude - they just told us that they were “overwhelmed “. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and will not be setting foot in this establishment again.

I emailed the restaurant a few weeks before our planned visit to make a reservation request. No response. I emailed with a chaser. Still no response. My wife and I then went into the restaurant on the Sunday to physically book instead (by now a few days before the planned visit, that Wednesday). We were told that a large group of 19 were arriving at the time we wanted, so instead booked a table 45 minutes ahead of them. I then got a text confirming my reservation but that showed the date of booking as that very evening. I replied saying they were mistaken and it should be for the Wednesday. No reply. Messaged again, still no reply. We hoped, being a Wednesday that it wouldn't be a problem anyway, so arrived at the time we'd asked to book for, only to be told they were full. I explained the history of problems to a lady that I presume to be the owner. She said there was no record of my booking and claimed the text message I'd received wasn't from the restaurant, even though it said Msala Ministry and was received immediately after we'd gone into the restaurant to book. She took my details and said she'd investigate what had gone wrong and let me know. Nearly a month later, I'm still waiting to know why we ended up having to eat elsewhere. Utter shambles.

Went to this restaurant shortly after opening and loved it. Good quality food..v. tasty and friendly service. Went back with the kids and enjoyed it a second time.

Visited on a Saturday night, wouldn’t recommend anybody else does the same. I’ve never witnessed a restaurant take so long to get people seated, utter chaos which ended up with 2 groups leaving before they even sat down because they were shown to tables that must have been picked up last minute from the local primary school. We booked for 5 people (two weeks prior) which involved a cramped table for four and a backless padded stool fit for a 5 year old shoved on the end. Asked politely FOUR times for this to be replaced with an actual chair on account of the fact that we didn’t have any five year olds with us, the woman who appeared to be running the show eventually lost her head with us and said she was trying, what more could she do? Bring a chair over would be a start. Table laid haphazardly for 3, after the chair debacle we decided against asking for anymore and realised it would be quicker to just help ourselves from a nearby empty table. Food bang average, service dire although the food came out quickly. The noisiest place I’ve ever eaten in my life, absolutely no point in trying to hold a conversation. We all just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible. It’s a shame as it’s nicely done out and we had high hopes based on the menu but the experience was disappointing.

Ordered a takeaway and the curry was really bland. Just tasted like tomato. For the price I expected it to be top notch. Wouldn't eat from here again.

Great Indian food. Opened newly in Fishponds. Decor is good, simple but contemporary Menu is good. Lots to choose from. It’s different to other Indian restaurants, provides a mix of indo chinese. For example Punjabi chilli chicken, made in soya sauce. The Goan garlic rice...

it was like a primary school ,kids running everywhere ,the drinks were reasonable but the food was terrible, burnt to a crisp ,tasteless , the worst experience i have ever had in a Indian restaurant , the service was performed by children who looked like...
