Martin Bros. Pizza Co. in Leicester

We keep going there as they have probably the best pizza in Leicester. However, the staff is unable to accommodate any simple request, often without clear reasons and always showing a very passive-aggressive attitude towards costumers. In the future we will be heading somewhere else.

We come regularly to this restaurant because of the pizzas but the service and rudeness of the two staff is unbelievable, to the point where we’re going to stop going. We always have to ask to order even though they are just chatting behind the bar and if you ask for anything extra there’s a tut and raised eyebrows. You’re made to feel like they’re doing you a favour by serving you. Such a shame for the owners, a lot of our friends feel the same and it’s only a matter of time until they will start seeing a decline in customers.

Went again recently, and we have always enjoyed what is certainly the best pizza around. Proper Neopolitan crusts, with interesting toppings, and an adventurous beer menu. Its several notches above your standard lager to swill down the margharita. We've always found the service polite and straightforward, so a bit surprised to read a couple of negative reviews on that aspect. The owner clearly loves pizza and loves beer, and has great knowledge about both! Prices - more expensive then buying a Sainos ready to heat pizza but really, given the quality here, what do people expect!! Coffee and tirumisu good too...

Ordered some pizzas for collection at 5pm. Called in advance to pre warn and be polite, met with alot of attitude on the phone. Pizzas were disappointing and very soggy, especially for the price. Focaccia was dry, and edges were burnt - dont think it every saw olive oil in its lifetime. My husband went to collect at 5pm with my 4 year old son, was told to wait (which is fine) but he wasn't allowed to wait in the restaurant even though the restaurant was open, so they had to wait outside in the rain. Rude member of staff, almost like we were bothering him. Will not be returning unfortunately.

My family and I love coming here for what we all agree are the best pizzas in the UK. We were not disappointed today! And great service - lovely to see the place buzzing on a Tues lunch.

Their bossiness model is quick service of good pizza, max. customers, speedy service, waiting outside for admission, more sale-min service otherwise shut and put up and to ask more. My reasonable request today to put me on 2-seated table after getting swollen feet from sitting on high a stole (I am 70+ ) was met from the guy running the show with no intrest.:he has no time to wait when I pointed to the 12 empty places promising to give the place instantly when requested. His ready answer was even worst: if you had said this at first you were free to leave. This is consistent with previous experiences of not opening on time, wrong info. on door and web site, not reserving (available tables) making you wait to fit the max. Job: good for the bos purse and himself but not for me. What a narrow thinking! No way we are going there even if the pizza is the best in the globe.

Great location, wonderful chilled surroundings, fantastic staff and Stunning Pizza.. Look out for the incredible specials and the awesome craft ales available on keg.

I went expecting an excellent service and food but I was surprised. As we walked in from the cold, I asked if the heating could be switched on so as to warm my guests up, I was astounded with a reply from the owner/manager with a categorically refusal. This set the sean for the rest of the evening. With were served both starter and main course together because their kitchen was closing. We were not told this before we ordered. We asked for tobasco which they did not stock. We asked for coffee after concluding our meal and were told the coffee machine was turned off. I cannot think of a series of misfortune events in any meal we have ever had. I would not go back to this place even if they paid me.

I love coming here for dinner and every time I visit the pizzas have always been perfect! The festive pizza special that I had on this most recent visit was so yummy! Lovely staff and great atmosphere.

It took me a long time to get here, but it was absolutely worth the wait. I first heard of the Martin Bros when having a few beers at the Two Tailed Lion on a Friday between lockdowns, and thought I'd like to try their food. More lockdown prevented that happening any time soon and then they opened their own venue just a wee bit too far out of the city centre for a casual drop in. So, what was needed was a dedicated trip up to Leicester, avoid the centre and head directly out to Clarendon Park. The small restaurant was pleasingly busy upon arrival, always an encouraging sign. Even though the craft beer selection was dominated by sours (ewwww....) there was a couple of very decent IPA's on too, and went well with our shared starter, a rosemary and sea salt flatbread that I would simply describe as a large pillow of deliciousness. This raised expections for the pizzas as the dough was clearly exceptional, and so it proved when the main event arrived, with wonderfully large crusts that were as light as a feather to bite into. Toppings are relatively simple but you can tell serious thought has gone into them - I had the Kickin' It, featuring pizza's best topping, nduja, a heavily spiced salami called Spianata and caramelised shallots and everything worked together perfectly. It's not the cheapest but it absolutely is great value for the quality you get - my wife is not one given to bold statements but immediately said her Pizza Piper Picked A Pickled Peppadew was the best pizza she'd ever had (and my extremely fussy son said the leftovers we brought home were delicious too, so there you go). We'll definitely be back.

Top notch pizza best in the area. Excellent selection of beers, buzzing atmosphere and lovely caring and attentive staff.. I have Ben on a number of occasions since it opened and always excellent with Vanessa and Viraj very particular in making sure the evening is most enjoyable

Hi! Came yesterday and unfortunately pizza was not as usual...I love pizza in this place but yesterday was disappointing...tomato sauce was very salty (and not sure it was as fresh as usual) and the ham on my pizza and the salami on my partner pizza were not fresh..visible from the colour of the meat and the flavour.I hope this has been one off and next time will be brilliant as it was. I will give another go. Fingers crossed

We visited Martin Bros Micro Pizzeria after reading some of the reviews. The staff were very friendly and the pale ale was lovely. We ordered 2 Big Frank's pizzas and I'm afraid they were tasteless. The bases were soggy and the toppings had no seasoning....

Our first visit to a local restaurant getting a warm reputation didn't disappoint. The staff are open friendly and unobtrusively responsive. The sicilian wines are decent and the beers unusual. The pizzas are thin with fresh ingredients in unusual combinations.

Fantastic place. The staff were quietly helpful and polite. Beer flight was ordered and all four of them were good, well kept and served. Then the pizzas. I’m an Italophile and a bit of a pizza snob. These were superb. As good as you’ll get.

Great neopolital pizza, we had the spicy one it was delicious. The burrata was beautiful. Nice drink selection too. Some tables are quite close together so I didn't feel all that comfortable. You can get take away but it's limited based on daily dough supply....
