Food tasteless very bad experiences

Super service with smiles every time. Generous and honest! My little son always goes out to pay as I park. They give more food less charge, have him a less price. Its kind but we all need to earn a living. Love food, place and the people. Thank you.

Food is so poor I only spent £10 and feel mugged off. Asked for a can of Coca Cola and they took my money for it but never sent it but luckily i get my money back but complained to Ubereats about the kebab and I get my money back for that too.

I eat here regularly via Uber eats . Food is spot on everytime faultless service food unbelievable you got to try it

First time ordering from Marshalls and not happy at all. Food ok but ordered a cheese burger and only got the bun and cheese with no burger inside. Not a very good first impression

Fancied some fish and chips so tried Marshalls and they did not disappoint. Definitely hit the spot and will be going back for more 😋

Spent £50 on this place. Ordered 2 half chickens, strip burger, nugget meal, small fish and chips, mixed kebab, cheeseburger, chips. Didn’t receive an any chips for the nugget meal or drink. The food was barely even warm. The fish was actually cold. The chicken- ABSOLUTELY FAOUL. Dry, no flavour just rancid. Had us waiting nearly 2 hours for delivery, just completely AVOID this place.

Cash only, place stank like they mopped the floor with last nights dirty water. Fish was awful and chips were awful.

Normally order from here and most of the time the food is good...odd few times the odd item is missing from my order. Today I ordered 3 mini fish and chip meals plus a naan with chicken tickka and doner meat....I was very disappointed today, food arrived 1.5 hours late...ontop of that the doner meat was missing from the very small kebab I was given...also the chips and fish were so bloody overdone and greasy we only ate a few bites and has to throw the whole lot in the bin...I rang the shop to complain and rectify the order but the guy on the phone just kept saying sorry and said he will call be back in 2 mins...I heard nothing again from this place...disgusting service and food tonight.

Was recommended to come here. Always up for trying a new place Had the fish and chips also the tandoori mix grill on nan. The chips were fresh. You can always tell when they ain’t. The fish was lovely. Nice piece of cod and wasn’t greasy. The batter was nice, flaky and crisp. The tandoori grill was a decent portion size and again all the meats were tasty and full of flavour. Some had a kick to them but wasn’t over the top I did order this just as they opened and they even called to tell us when it would be ready. Nice touch. Keep up the good work !

I'm not really a big fan off eating out, however I do like my fish and chips. I've been here on a good few occasions and the batter is really nice, crispy, and love the cod. They cook everything fresh Infront of you. I've asked if I can see the kitchen area around the back and it was very clean. They clearly have spent money, time and effort to set it up. It's my go to place now.

Great food and great value can sometimes have a small wait when really busy but they are always very apologetic

i paid £4.70 for a dish of 4 bits of “chilli” paneer but should have said “vinegar” paneer. tasted horrible and for what i got the price was ridiculous. £1.17 for one cube? tasted similar to vinegar and had no chilli taste to it.

Rarely ever give 1 star, first time in years. Had the worst possible experience and this place really has gone down hill. Ordered many times before over 30. Ordered on the Foodhub app as they recommend for delivery. Says 70 minute delivery, wait 70 minutes call up they said ‘5 mins will be there’ wait another 10 still nothing. Work in a hospital and could not wait, had to leave without eating and running late. Walking out the door the guy comes then drives off without giving me the food. Ring the take away the guy starts shouting at me telling me not to order ever again and he has refunded me and I shouldn’t expect free food? No one told me I was refunded or else I wouldn’t be calling. Never felt this humiliated in a long time. No respect at all. Making someone wait over the time then have an attitude when they don’t deliver and keep someone waiting. Would ever recommend or order again. Must be new management as not the friendly owners I remembered before or the friendly lady who used to work there!

Just had our first delivery from here..food was outstanding..still very hot on arrival..Service was excellent....will certainly use again..Thank you..

We ordered last 2 x pizza (veg and doner), 1 x pannier in Naan (with salad and sauces) and portion of chips. The delivery arrived around 35-45 min and food was pipping hot. Pizzas was really nice with nice cheese and topping. My son ate the doner pizza and he said it was the best he had in a long time. Pannier in garlic naan was really nice, so nice that i was picking up bits up dropped on table to eat it. Chips was nice but i felt it Could do with more salt and vinegar. Overall excellent experience, food was great and service is good too. Will definitely be visiting or ordering again. Thank you.

Top service,was quick and food ready on time. The garlic sauce pizza i ordered was the first time having it, it was very tasty. Will order again.

Just been to buy some food like I do up to 3 times a week. The fish was brittle and just slightly warm. I complained not to get a refund or replacement but to let him know. But the owners son in law (which he said he was) started shouting at me saying their fish was freshly fried, I asked him to stop his rude behaviour, which he wouldn't, so I hung up. Won't be going there again.

The chips are nice from this place 😎. The prices are decent too.

Had to wait over hour for my meal as it was busy, it was clear nothing was in control when they didn't know where their delivery driver was and when they were not letting each other know somethings ready, the chips was stale, would not go again!

Had fish and chips from Marshall’s, Let just say there chip portion size is a little bit on the lean side. Thought I would give them a try but won’t be going back hongs is far better quality and better portion sizes

First time using this chippy and the food was lovely and very friendly staff. Find it hard to read the menu above the counter as there are no lights. But who cares when they do lovely food. I would use this chip shop again.

Awful ! Ordered from Just eat at 7.30 was told food would be delivered at 8.30. Food never arrived. 9pm food still not arrived so called restaurant and no answer they’d turned phone off. Called just eat who could not contact the restaurant or the owner. Will never order from there again. What a hassle for nothing. I’m hangry !!!!!

The food was shocking everything was cold and the chips wasn't cooked sausage was like eating dog meat fish was like rubber and was so small wouldn't fill a baby this is shocking for a chip shop on main Uppingham road I think it should be shut down because food is awful and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!

Not true what she has said food is well done and hot when served she may have been stuck in the traffic as she got home l have loved the food from this place for a long time and the costomer service is great don't know what she is on about would recommend this place to everyone. 😋😘🤗

Nice food, however really slow delivery. Ordered on just eat at 17.30. ETA of food 19.00!! Rediculous for pizza and chips.

Best to go into place and order to make sure ur happy with your order as I ordered online from Just Eat several TImes and very disappointed on them ending up at the wrong address or was missing some orders upon delivery and received later, ordered large and sometimes get a small portion, in Ramadan received a very small portion of chicken doner pieces that couldn’t be lifted with a fork oil drenching at bottom as if rushed and no ketchup on the doner had been added as put down in the notes as requested and neither vinegar put on fish cakes. I felt this was a bad service and held back from Complaining Up until now. There needs to be more consistency along with the correct orders being given as I’m a very un happy customer and I am a regular customer and expect better quality service. Called in tne next day with my complaint to manager and he reassured me he would deal with my query and ensure I receive a better service.

Really good chippie and fantastic service

Been using them when working in the area, once a week, for the past few years and they have always looked after me, have a great selection of different take away options, fish & chips, various kebabs and great pizzas, all at some incredibly good prices.

Well where do I start - Chicken burger was cold (stone cold) ask for salad and got just lettuce - Chicken wrap was stuck to the paper and broke up everywhere so had to use knife and fork - just lettuce and onion for salad also think there was a bone in it! - Asked for beans and curry sauce got peas and beans?!? - Chips looked as though they had been in the fryer for about 2 minutes and was stone cold! Never using again! Awful meal!

After mix up time before last, latest meal was back to its normal fantastic self. I advise anyone who has a problem to let the restaurant know and don't just moan about it!
