Always made very welcome, beautifully decorated restaurant, amazing food. I ate here last night with my partner and 6 lovely friends. Can’t wait to go back.

We went for my daughters birthday. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Friendly, courteous and efficient. The food, was beyond my expectations, was beautiful, full of flavour, consistency, amount on the plate was perfect. Perfect. The amazing attention to detail, bring out a cake with a candle on for my daughter, playing happy birthday just added to this wonderful experience. Lovely intimate atmosphere, with amazing service and wonderful food. A wonderful authentic piece of Morroco on our doorste.

First time back here in a few years, and really enjoyed it. Good service, good prices, and having just got back from the real Marrakech the food was good too. We had the mixed crudites to start, then a tajine of kefta with egg, and tajine of king prawns. All of it was very good. We were in the Touareg tent at the back which is always fun.

Food was lovely but keep in mind there is a bit of a wait for the tangine dishes. Staff was very friendly, lovely atmosphere.

First time visiting here. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. The music and atmosphere was excellent, with authentic Moroccan decor throughout. The food, oh the food! The flavours, spices and presentation was all spot on. Make sure you're hungry because the portions are big. Looking forward for our next visit already.

Food = Amazing! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. A must visit! The atmosphere is beautiful and authentic and continues throughout the restaurant. The service was a little slow but I didn't mind as I was enjoying my wine and they were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We will certainly be returning.

Lovely small restaurant, authentic, looks good outside, inside gives a feel of being on holiday, food hot & swift to table, 2 starters Spinach Feta parcels, Falafel, 2 mains Spicy meatballs, Chicken skewers meal, Wow ! This was GOOD. Very pleasant staff. Cater for us Gluten Free Coeliacs. Will return. Recommend.

Visited Saturday 4th may. Party for 10. Gluten free person and 2 veggies\vegans. Absolutely fantastic food. Fantastic service. It was my birthday. They came out and sang happy birthday with morrocan instruments. It was just the best night ever. Absolutely amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better evening or better food. Absolutely brilliant value for money. Will 10000000% be revisiting very soon. And a million percent recommend the platter for 2. It was out of this world amazing. The started were perfect. The main was even better. Honestly, if food did an orgasm, this would be it.

Went here for a family meal with 5 of us spanning different age groups. The restaurant is a TARDIS and goes back much further than it looks like from the front. The decor is fantastic and feels very authentic. We ordered a variety of dishes including crudites with hummus, various tagines, and baklava. Everything was very well presented, generously portioned, and well seasoned. The decor alone makes this a unique experience, definitely on our list of favourites in Hull now.

Took a group of 26 people for a business dinner. Owner and staff were amazing hosts and the food was great as always. With that large of a group a set menu was used and we were in the “tent” back area. Everyone comment about how great the food and service was while being surprised about the tented area ambiance. If you go with friends, order a bottle of the Moroccan wine to enjoy with the meal as you can’t buy it by the glass.

Unique experience. It's not just the food, it's the atmosphere. No other restaurant does this in the local area at this price. It's not fine dining but it feels "authentic".

We had a lovely birthday meal here to celebrate my wife’s birthday with family and friends. The food was so authentic and tasted amazing, especially the Lamb and Chicken Tagines! Have to mention the lovely hummus and olives to start with too! The service was excellent, with friendly staff and went out of their way to make this a special occasion - We will be back! :-)

We went for dinner last night here, went all out with starter, main and dessert. The food was gorgeous, so tasty. Especially the king prawns they were delish and I have never seen any so big. Lovely atmostphere in there with a moroccan feel. Great service too, lovely lady working very accomodating. We will definately returning.

What an awesome little restaurant. Partner booked it as a spur of the moment try something new type meal and it did not disappoint. Wonderful Moroccan food and I loved the atmosphere. Had the Marrakech Lamb Tagine and it was to die for! Good Lady had the Lamb from the grill and it was also just pure perfection. Chef came out at the end to ask if we enjoyed it and we honestly couldn't give any higher praise. The only slight and I mean slight down was mid-meal being asked if we would mind moving tables to accommodate a non-booked party of four. I don't mind moving before or after but during is just a plain no. Will 100% be back!

I visit this wonderful restaurant every time I work in Hull. I've tried all the tagines on the menu and most of the starters. The food is outstanding, a real flavor explosion. Very friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, almost feels like being in Morocco.

I absolutely love the food at this place and have been going for years and never before had any issues. We went last week for a last night meal with family and friends for my daughter moving away to Oz. Our service was very different from previous experience, the waiting staff were amazing and handled the evening very well considering the situation. It was very busy and our table was booked for 7 we ordered our starters within probs about 20 mins, we then had over an hour wait before we received them, we then order our mains and by the time they arrived we had actually been here for over 2 hours and it was almost 9:30 before we ate our main meal, we had sides and sauces missing that we had to ask for, by the time some of this came some of us had finished eating as hadn’t eaten much all day knowing we would be eating their amazing food! The waiting staff was apologetic and was litterally running around like headless chickens we decided we should speak to the manager or the chef as we did think it was unacceptable as not once were we told we would be waiting so long, the manager was the chef/owner and came out to speak to me before we left, all the excuses came flooding out, he was blaming customers for turning up late and waiting staff and pretty much everyone else he could when really the issue was clearly in the kitchen, but he wouldn’t take any responsibility at all and wasn’t even apologising! We refused to pay the service charge and felt bad for not leaving a tip (if I would 100% know this would go to the waiting staff I would of) but the attitude of the owner was worse than the service from the kitchen! The way he spoke to his staff aswell was very unprofessional in front of dusters and quite honestly I don’t know why they are even working there!! We ending paying the bill and just leaving without pre checking as my husband wasn’t feeling too great so wanted to leave and when we got home we noticed we had been charged for drinks we didn’t even have (lesson learnt) upon messaging them on the fb page which I usually do they haven’t responded and in fact blocked me which is utterly rude!! Own your mistakes!! Such a shame as loved this place but we are not been treated in this manner

Couldn't recommend enough, been a few times. Every time was amazing. Food is just packed full of flavour and presented spectacularly. I recommend the non alcoholic cocktail to drink and the lamb or chicken tagine as well as the potato side dish, but you can't go wrong. it's all delicious. I'll be returning again.

Erg lekker eten. Persoonlijke benadering door de kok en bediening. Leuk ingericht. Persoonlijke wensen worden ingewilligd. Kleine gedeelte aan voorzijde maar als je doorloopt nog meer tafels achter de keuken. Toilet op eerste verdieping staat niet zo goed aangegeven.

We went to Marrakesh Avenue for our anniversary this evening. We had browsed the menu online well in advance and were happy with the prices, so we booked. When we arrived the first thing we noticed is that the prices online did not match those on the menu. For example, the warm salads were £16 rather than the £12 we expected as per the website. My partner ordered the house red wine as this was the only red wine you could order by the glass. When it arrived, she was disgusted by the taste as it tasted strongly of cumin, not a traditional Merlot. She begrudgingly mentioned to the waiter that the wine was not quite to her taste and asked if there was another wine that she could have by the glass. After going away for a few minutes, the waiter offered a second glass and apologised as the wine that my partner had been given was out of a bottle that had been open for a few days. It’s not really acceptable to be serving a bottle of wine that has been open a few days anyway. She also wasn’t happy that she wasn’t offered an alternative when there were many other wines sold in the establishment. For main course I had the Marrakesh Platter which consisted of chicken, lamb and spicy kofta. My partner had the vegetarian tagine. I don’t know if this is just because of our western expectations, however, I expected the couscous to be at least seasoned or spiced, but it had nothing on it whatsoever and was very bland. My partner, having the tagine, would’ve liked some bread to go with the sauce without paying extra expense of £5+. My partner did really enjoy the tagine and said that the olives and the sauce were lovely. My meat was beautifully cooked but my only critique is that for £18 I would’ve perhaps liked a little bit more. We got baklava and a couple of cocktails for dessert and asked if we could take these outside. Our waiter was more than happy to do this for us and was really lovely and sorted our every need. Overall, the ambience was unmatched and really romantic, especially for an occasion of this sort. The music was really good and the lighting and coziness isn’t something we have experienced anywhere else. Aside from the critiques, this really is a hidden gem on The Avenues and we did have a lovely evening.

Suited Saturday evening, lovely cosy venue, we was seated to the back which again is very authentic in design. I opted for falafel starter and chicken tagine for mains both excellent taste quality and portions, think I might have to work through the menu. Highly recommend .

This place is sooo good it made us want to move to Hull. The dishes are intensley flavoursome, authentic and delicious. We were glad we booked in advance because it got very busy. Staff were super and the atmosphere was great. Decor beautiful with Moroccan lights and lamps.

Food here is absolutely great. Brilliant atmosphere. Sadly, when we visited in December we couldn’t feel any heat in the place. Most of the people in there sat eating with their coats on, hence only 4 star. Last December 2021 I would have given them 5 stars

Authentic food, me and my husband went there for dinner, we haven't tried something different in a while! Portions are huge! But we wanted to taste 2 different things and the food was enough for at least 3 persons The lady who served us (tbh she was by herself and never sat down), she is very nice and very attending We will definitely go there again if we had the chance to visit Hull again!

Visited this week. We booked online and had no issues with the booking process, quick response. When we arrived there was a big party in the front and were given the option of where we wanted to sit, decided to sit in the back. The back of the restaurant is like a bedouin tent inside, lovely moroccan decoration and detailing around. The service was good and not rushed at all so we could enjoy the place and our meals. Good selection of food and drinks. We had the chicken parcel and falafel starters, followed by a spicy sausage tagine and lamb tagine, with Baclawa for desert. All food was delicious and good portions...could easily have a starter each and share a main, but wouldnt get to try as many yummy dishes. Can't fault the food at all. Price is more than reasonable...£73 for three alcoholic drinks, two starters, two mains and a desert. Overall lovely visit and will be coming again. Would recommend requesting a table in the back.

The decor was beautiful and comfortable, this has got to be the best place we have eaten at in Hull.

Excellent service from the staff, the perfect mixture of polite and attentive. The food is exceptionally well priced, and excellent both in taste and presentation. Highly recommend as a first date spot due to its luxurious and interesting decoration, provides plenty of conversational opening and is accompanied by the best food to be had on princes avenue. The staff are incredibly accommodating and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself, a frequent patron and shall revisit many times in the future . Set menu has plenty of variety and is a great sample of what is surely a thoroughly competent cook

It is ten years since we used to go to this place regularly. We left the city and we still think this is the best restaurant in Hull. Lovely to be greeted so warmly by the owner. The place is as lovely as ever and the food was great. Hope we can go back again soon.

Great restaurant, really great lamb tagine fall off the bone and we'll flavoured. mixed grill was perfectly cooked also. Humus was very good the olives were tart to set off the creamy hummus. Nice music to set the ambiance and great decor. Also nice to see the owner was so happy and friendly. Hope your business does well! Lastly, that advert on your website worth every penny. Salaams

My daughter took us there for father's day and both the food and staff were brilliant, so friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, will definitely be going back and recommend it.

I ate here tonight and hadn’t been for ten years. The falafel was the best I had ever tasted and the hummus was delicious. Our tagines were tasty and spicy (we had gone for the spicy option). The waitress was absolutely fantastic. What an absolute asset to this restaurant she is. We were sat at a table when a group of ‘tipsy’ and loud (but pleasant) men came and sat with their friends next to us. She discreetly asked if we would like to swap to another table which we did. The service was absolutely faultless and I would go back based on the wonderful waitress alone (I suspect she may have been the manager as she clearly knew exactly what she was doing whilst being super friendly with all customers). We left wondering why we had left so long between visits (as we had loved it years ago). Ps I’m a vegetarian and the food was great (fab for vegans too with lots of choice). The restaurant is very beautifully decorated with a real holiday feel. I already look forward to going back and won’t be waiting another ten years.

Visited Hull at the weekend and decided to try this restaurant .It’s the first time that we have tried Moroccan cuisine but it certainly won’t be the last.The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful . I had the chicken tagine whilst my hubby had the meatball tagine , followed by delicious deserts - a tasty and fulfilling meal. The staff greeted us with a friendly and welcoming manner , the place had a great atmosphere, it was authentic , cosy and relaxing. We would certainly recommend it - 10 /10 from us !

One of the best 3 restaurants i have been to in UK. 👌👌. 😋😋😋. You have to try the HARIRA Soup 👌. The Mix-Grill is Perficto 👌. All the Tagins are rated 10/10. The Chef "Mohamed" came to welcome us and was very friendly. The atmosphere and decorations well make you feel as if you are in Morocco. Thanks a million for the nice food.

What a beautiful little restaurant! The food was outstanding; the staff were wonderful and the ambiance was everything you could wish for. We just wish we could pick it up and place it nearer home as it really is a very special place 💙

We booked this restraunt one evening but we had confusion on whether it was booked or not, after getting their around 19:00 but said 20:00 they could do, ans said they they could actually do around 19:30. We went for a drink next door and came back around 19:45 only to be told that a table would take at least another 30mins which we couldn't do and much later than the original 20:00. The place had a table set out for 4 to 5 people so I can only assume the greed of having a larger cover got to the restraunt this evening. This wasted us 1 :30 of our evening during my wife's birthday which was poor form and terrible customer service. I would never recommend or go to this place again. Stay clear.

Went with friends to this gem of a restaurant on Saturday evening. The food was absolutely superb and the staff so lovely. Would highly reccomend. They even rang me as we were on the way home to say we had left my husbands walking stick...

We went as a party of 5 [reduced from 7 due to Covid isolation!] for the very first time on Saturday. What a little gem - why have we never been before!! The service was superb [quick, knowledgeable and courteous] The starters were to die...

Wow the lamb tagine is to die for!!! I would go back just to eat that again. Perfect with couscous. The Sahara tagine was also well cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. The warm bread that came with the entre was really delicious. Slight let down was the fish of the day, seabream, which we ordered as a marinated fish starter. It didn't taste fresh and was not seasoned well. Baklava and mint tea was the perfect finish to a lovely meal. Friendly server, really nice ambience and good playlist too.
