I am lactose intolerant and requested a plain omelette, I requested plain 3 times so to make it clear. The smallest omelette came no bigger than a round coaster. I started to eat it and it tasted odd my DIL said its been frozen and microwaved which is why it tasted odd, half way round the shop my tummy started, there was obviously cheese in it. Very unhappy, thought we were lucky to get seats on fathers day now understand why. if a kitchen can't cook a plain omelette they really should not be called a restaurant. It is 10 past 9 at night and still feel ill. shameful.

There are so many great local cafes in Stafford for breakfast. DO NOT waste your money or time at Marks and Spencer’s. We could not eat the eggs Benedict, it was disgusting. The coffee has to be the worst I have ever tasted. The service was terrible. The staff seem fed up. I can’t understand why anyone goes there. What has happened to Marks and Spencers!. I complained to the Head Office to be told they are sorry, they will pass on the feedback to the store to provide a better service to other customers!.

I visit Stafford occasionally for business, all in a busy day. Until now, the centrally situated Marks and Spencer cafe provided a good lunch. Not this time. I did visit at 1.10; the tea was cool at 1.30 so hot water was requested. By 1.40, the toasted sandwich arrived. Reduced in size and flavour, the food was dry. Very disappointing. Not cheap either. The lemon drizzle cake was also dry. Two toasted sandwiches, two slices of cake, two packets of crisps, two pots of tea came to over £25. I will call at one of the two Greggs in future and consume my lunch in the car. Toilets all clean but time worn in M&S. outstanding ladies range downstairs too, thank you for those two things.

Used to visit here on a regular basis with my adult daughters but the size of a bacon bap is so small now it's a joke, slices of cake is also as bad. Expensive for next to nothing, have stpped going. Marks & Spencer you should be fairer with your customers ot acting like this.

Arrived at 10:30 am on Sunday, to queue for 10 minutes to be told they had no bacon & no sausage- no signs to say anywhere. Chose something else, got charged twice for my drinks, no apology from staff. Will not be returning or recommending!

Our visit on a Sunday afternoon was enjoyable, with the spacious venue having a view over the River Sow and this part of the town centre. The food was tasty although rather expensive.

Called in for a bite to eat with my wife there was quite a queue but decided to wait we wanted breakfast but at the counter we was told they stopped at eleven I only wanted scrambled eggs and bacon on toast that’s when the young indian lad serving the coffee leapt into action first he was told no but then persisted with the manager as we had been waiting ages in the queue they then agreed to serve us and I can honestly say it was fantastic I was so pleased the lad persisted I’m disabled and was willing to have my coffee while the wife had her scone but what a lovely peace of customer care by this young lad we are most grateful and will definitely return only earlier in case we have to wait which it is well worth waiting for tasty and good value.

went into stafford marks and spencer cafe today, purchased a full breakfast. she asked scrambled or poached. I asked scrambled and no mushrooms, when my food came out, i was very disappointed. the bacon was like rubber, the toast was cold and too cooked. there was no beans. what kind of breakfast doesn't come with beans. so asked to speak to the manager... the "assistant manager" came out. (now i've worked in restaurants before and lets say he was not customer friendly) he told me the beans are extra £2.50 !!!! 2. FING 50P!! i could buy a pack of 4 for that price. maybe even 6, he then said that yes we could but we are paying tax to eat in as well... i said but i didnt have mushrooms, they cost more than beans why couldn't you swap? his reply: it's policy. well policy or not, you've just lost 2 customers from returning. and i won't be taking my family when they visit either so thats more customers. a rip off, rude "assistant" managers... could do your job better mate, the customer is always right remember! this meal consists of 4 cold pieces of toast. half a sausage. 2 burnt tomatoes, some egg (at an extra cost) and some rubber bacon.. oh and i had a hot cold chocolate. costing £10!!! I have posted this on facebook and twitter and will blog about the company as well. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I went to the M&S café as I have an ankle injury and cannot walk far so when I am on my own it is easy for me to park and come up in the lift. In addition to that, the coffee and choice at the café is extensive and I really enjoy a Friday treat visiting the café. This Friday I decided to go and do some work there as a change from home to treat myself to a coffee and apple turnover. There were no apple turnovers and when I mentioned it to Debbie and the young lady on the till, they offered to go down to the food hall and see if they could get me one which they duly did. I then went to have a second coffee a bit later and Debbie remembered exactly what I had and it was made before I got to the end of the till so I would like to thank them for their kindness and help as getting about when alone and with crutches can be tricky and they were so kind with their help. Thank you

Nice n clean excellent staff. Food good but always on the 'mean' side ie salad was a wilted lettuce leaf with an over-cooked but eatable chicken burger. We had a full Lunch here on day but it did not have any vegetables with it..? Think for the prices alittle more of the "frills" would be good

My colleaguec and I called in for a coffee and cake this afternoon (22nd Nov 2018). We were having a refreshment break before meeting a client on site about a local highway project. We had a coffee and a flapjack. When I paid I was a bit taken aback at the price of the flapjacks. £2 for a thin (ish) flapjack! I said to the young lady behind the counter you need to put prices on them so the customer can have a better idea of whether to buy one or not. Anyhow the chap making the coffees (called Jonathan) made the Americano and Cappuccino I ordered. The Americano was mine. When I sat at our table I started drinking my Americano and I could not believe what my taste buds were telling me. Delightful, tasty, smooth and wonderful. Also, when I finished the cup it did not leave any after taste in my mouth either. I have to say, in the 49 years I've lived, that has got to be the best and nicest cup of coffee I've ever had! When my colleague and I left to go to our site meeting I said to Jonathan that is the best cup of coffee I've ever had in my life. He was pleased. So if you are ever in Stafford and you happen to be doing a bit of shopping in M&S then pop into to its cafe. Hopefully Jonathan might be there that day making the coffees. If he his try one, I think you be glad you did. The M&S Cafe in Stafford gets a 5 star from me thanks to Jonathans coffees. Thanks for reading.Miles.

Visited today with my toddler and a friend with her toddler. Quite busy, tables either taken or covered with the previous persons plates/cups. However someone quickly cleared a table for us and we ordered. I had my toddler with me to order and she just wanted to explore, so I carried her to table and the lady serving me offered to carry my tray over for me to which I was very grateful. Food was nice, little expensive for what you get but nice. Orange hot chocolate was great, wish this was there all the time and not just around Christmas.

Always a fan of M&S;, the new premises are excellent. The cafe/ restaurant is certainly an upgrade from the old shop with large windows overlooking the river. The shop is spacious and, as you would expect, staff are helpful and knowledgable.

It’s a cafe in a chain store. With a view over the river and ring road it’s nice to watch the world go by, and the coffee is good. But why the bland and pappy food? There’s so much nice food in the food hall downstairs, but non of that seems to make its way to the cafe....you can do better than this M&S;!

Along with M&S; there's a cafe where you can get the real Irish coffee, which I like most! Plus the M&S; shop having a very large collection to buy anything in clothing range. Everything genuine, not to worry about that. Cafe and Shop staffs are really lovely and charming people!

Tried to stop here for a cup of tea and piece of cake. It was cramped and due to the number of pushchairs around it was impossible to negotiate through the tables with our pushchair. When we found a table we could reach it was piled high with dirty crockery. We decided not to stay. They seem to have put too many tables in with not enough space to manoeuvre. So disappointing!

Called in today for a lunch , usually I have a morning Cappuchino and delicious teacake but today went for a Cappuchino and Cheese and onion toasty which was delicious! Came with an ample pot of Coleslaw and salad Lovely Crusty bread, I also had a "small" glass of the House Ros which was one of the nicest I have tasted and fully complemented the meal.

Typical Costa food and drink but the service was not typical – it was terrible. Only one oven saw the wait for hot food being excessive and the way of working means that there is no way to ensure the correct order was taken by the correct person. One guy seemed to be waiting for ages and when my order (2 x Cumberland Sausage Toasties) was placed on the counter, he thought it may have been his. When I told him what I had, he mentioned that he had been waiting 15 minutes and still his order had not arrived. The Barista hearing this, checked and discovered that the order had been fulfilled but “someone must have picked it up in error”. Whilst the offer of replacement was quick, no offer of more coffee was made as the initial cups were either finished or cold. Take a tip from Starbucks – see how they handle queuing. As for the food. Just the same old Costa offerings.

Not eaten here for a while. However, we decided to give it a go. Two lattes and shared a fish n chips. Absolutely superb, crispy batter, moist fish and crunchy fat chips. The coffees were piping hot. Excellent food and good value. Staff friendly and obviously take pride in their work. Positive changes here 👍
