Mam is in her 90s & needed the toilet . So we decided too have a coffee & a scone . The latte was awful & the scone wasn’t cooked in the middle . Nearly £10 We definitely wouldn’t return

The service was a bit slow. I had to ask for a teaspoon (none available with the cutlery). The fish and chips that I had were just about average with very hard chips although my partner enjoyed her jacket potato.

Very cold in the cafe and food and drinks are overpriced-abs rhe coffee cones in a mug!!!! I only use the cafe because I have vouchers.

Two things to gripe about the severe lack of gluten free food although staff were very helpful and told me I could buy something from the shop and bring it to the cafe.and the constant loud beeping from the ovens in the kitchen constant and incredibly irritating.

I've shopped at marks and Spencers for over 40 years and have defended them and supported them throughout this time. I've spent thousands of pounds in clothing food and in cafes. But today at team valley cafe I've never been so disgusted and let down. Arrived at 1.30 for snack to be told cheese toasties or bacon bap. Ok 2 bacon baps tea and an orange juice. Waited 20 minutes for a bacon butty cos our order had been missed although only 2 tables waiting for food. Had to wait for milk for tea as no jugs available no teaspoons available. Lots of staff standing around chatting and doing nothing. Tea was cold by time baps came. On finishing went to put tray away but no space full of dirty dishes on trays. When I asked a member of staff what I should do was told oh just put it there. There being the clean area where one collect cutlery napkins etc. There was lots of work to do but all busy talking to do any. To say I was disgusted and disappointed is an understatement as nd as for talking to a member of staff at time they just couldn't be bothered won to be back there

Called here whilst shopping for holiday clothes I had cheese and ham toastie and a latte the toastie was delicious and had plenty of filling in was cooked fresh the staff are lovely and helpful will be back

The full English breakfast was poor in both quality and quantity. It stood on a serving hatch waiting to be collected and subsequently arrived cold. The porridge was £3.25 for a half bowl with a few blueberries. Very disappointing all round.

Called here today whilst Christmas shopping for a break I had a cheese and ham toastie and a latte which was delicious and very filling the staff were very helpful and friendly will be coming back

As always "what you would expect" at Marks and Spencers, a lovely meal washed down with a very good cup of coffe.

Visited the Metro Centre and decided to start the day off with a breakfast. Had a quick look online and other local breakfast options didn't appeal. Called in to M&S. Service was quick and friendly. We were given a GPS device so that our breakfast could be delivered to whatever table we chose. My wife opted for the full English and at less than £7 it represented good value. The breakfast arrived in good time and was excellent. The only slight quibble was that the only choice of bacon was smoked. However, still very tasty. The surrounds were very clean and tidy, although a little basic. Nevertheless I would definitely recommend and will return in the future.

We went into the smaller if the two cafes in the metro centre Marks and Spencer shop. We queued for 20 mins ,while every available staff tried to sort one person's query regarding a voucher she had in her phone which wouldn't scan. No apology nor word of explanation, though in fairness we could all see what was going on. Ridiculously poor management. Actually, no-one was in charge. Such poor customer service that so many people can be left to queue while everything came to a stop. When we did try to order, one item wasn't available then the very elderly lady who had stood behind us also was told one item she wanted wasn't available, and while we were waiting for the drinks, another lady came back with tea that was green and not earl grey. No word of apology to her- the assistant took the teapot from her without a word. Tables were a complete mess though one young lad was rushing round trying to clear everything. Another young chap, wearing a white shirt and tie, who looked vaguely managerial, did absolutely nothing except mince around telling a young girl to clear the tables. All told, completely unacceptable and inadequate.

This cafe is big for this shop even though that the food is really nice. Really nice staff. And really reasonable prices

The cafa was ok but it was so cold and the fans generated artic conditions . They had to stay on as we were on the edge of a food hall. Best location for a coffee bar??? Maybe not

We had breakfast here after having a previous good experience. This time though it was poor. Despite being there just after opening when there were very few customers, by the time the food came the drinks were stone cold. Last time I had some lovely, creamy soft scrambled egg that was so good my husband had some too this time. However, when it came it was granular with clear liquid seeping onto the plate. Awful. To make matters worse one of the forks was dirty and we had to change it.

Ordered fish and chips for 2. Tea coffee and cake . Beverages cold . Cake ok , not the best I’ve had. Fish and chips disgusting. Chips were undercooked. Fish was cheap frozen and definitely not worth £8.50. Also too many staff walking around doing nothing ! Won’t be returning ☹️ Waste of £27.60

Was here today with daughter in law while Christmas shopping only had a latte but it was lovely and the food looked lovely and fresh and plenty of choices staff were lovely and friendly

Arrived earlier than planned for an appointment so decided to while away time with a tea and cake. Self service cake under cover, looked really appetising, a slice of Bakewell tart and for me a slice of carrot cake, queued up for tea, only one assistant serving at the time of our visit, under pressure but happy to help despite this. Good cup of tea served in a teapot with fresh milk, as opposed to the normal tub of long life.Dining area rather chilly under the air conditioning but enough table to be away from the draughts.All day breakfast looked appetising as did afternoon tea.

Not many places on the Team Valley offer such a great place to meet up and share great quality food and coffee. I regularly meet clients and friends here and it’s never let me down. The staff are very attentive and polite and I’ve never had any reason to grumble!

Firstly shelves where toasties kept almost empty...only 1245hrs. No sausage cheese onion toasties available. Cakes all in separate containers but cakes slices all covered with various flavours of cakes. They needed to be cleaned and set out so each one was available for each flavour cake. Only one till open...long queue. Just plonked electronic bleeper for advising food was ready. No explanation given. No glasses available to pour in soft drinks. When ones eventually supplied they were hot. Overall a very poor performance and not what l expect from m and s

A canny coffee but anything else is expensive, and they do not like to accommodate a fussy eater. What is there is what you get.

I have to start by saying the staff here are fantastic. They went above and beyond for me and my baby when we visited.I'd ordered the soup and was giving baby a bottle when it arrived. The lady who brought it told me she would take it back and keep it warm for me until I'd finished feeding. She kept an eye us and sure enough the soup came back nice and hot. Aside from it being tasty one as able to enjoy a meal undisturbed. Something that is a luxury when trying to nurse or feed a 3 months old.I asked another female member of staff if they could re heat my tea but instead they brought me a fresh one which I thought was very kind of them.There was also a male member of staff who was very helpful too.I felt very welcome and everyone was so accommodating. The food was nice also.Well done M&S cafe.

Not a bad little cafe as you cannot really call this a restaurant. A few selections and food was tasty 😋

I was thrilled when i learnt that i had won afternoon tea for two. We came today to have it. When we arrived the cafe was extremely busy and there were no seats, we had to look around the shops for 1 hour before we could get a table. I ordered our afternoon tea. Which we waited for about 15mins but it was worth the wait, it was lovely, and there was plenty of it. In fact so much we asked for a bag to bring the scones home. I dd feel really sorry for the staff, there is clearly not enough staff to cover this busy cafe, the staff were run ragged. They literally did not stop. They kept running out of teapots and the lady on the till had to keep running back and forward to the kitchen. The lady cleaning the tables was non stop. Come on M&S get more staff in here and help out your hard working staff in this cafe. Overall it was a lovely experience to have afternoon tea, the food was lovely and you got plenty of it. Well done to the hard working staff at Team Valley and thanks x

Beautifully presented with an array of sandwiches scones clotted cream and sweet treats good quality for money as you would expect from M&S overall tasted as good as it looked and very filling a lovely afternoon treat to complement a lovely mum and daughters day out

Called in for lunch when out shopping , a good choice menu at reasonable prices. We all enjoyed our different choices, all very well cooked and .tasty. The staff were all friendly and chatty . One lady in particular who found a nice table with plenty of space for a wheelchair.

Chicken & leek pie & salmon salad nicoise was ordered with a green tea & lattte. We were given tea & latte immediately. 25 mins later, after tea & cofffe were drunk food arrived. Pie was microwaved & so had very soggy pastry. The salad (for £7) had a table spoon of flaked salmon, 3 cherry tomatoes, 1/2 a boiled egg & a few lettuce/spinach leaves. Due to the lack of food on the plate there was way too much dressing which was too strong & bitter. There were very few staff around & lots of uncleared tables. The restaurant wasn't that busy either for the time of day. A very disappointing & expensive meal.

Always come here if on Team Valley coffee is nicest we have had anywhere when out and cakes are gorgeous.

There are plenty of places to grab a drink and snack on Team Valley but this is one of the better for me. Nice drinks, decent snack and a good price.

Very disappointed to watch 2 members of staff refilling scones with bare hands. No gloves or tongs. One of them looked like she was a supervisor too. Not at all hygienic!

Dropped in here after a shop at Ikea and before we headed into the Metro Centre. We were quickly served and the earl grey was good as was my wife's latte. Our food did do a circuit of the cafe before eventually finding where we were sat. We both had a toastie which were okay but the menu does need a bit of an update.

As there are very few places on the Team Valley to purchase food, M&S café seems to have been received well. There is a small selection of savoury foods and a very large selection of cake, which is great for a pit-stop. Seating can be a bit tricky so timing is of the essence. Situated on the upper level of M&S there is also a bathroom - thank you!

After a bit of a time away from Marks and Spencer's we tried out the cafe in the Metro Centre as we were hungry and parked in the green zone so this was the first place we hit. The toasties were good and unlike our recent experiences in Costa in Middlesbrough, we actually hot. The tea was really hot which many cafes seem not to be able to do. Well done M&S !

Coffee stop, dived in to refuel, usual M & S food, fairly good, coffee good as always however service a little slow which was a shame. Will not stop me returning though, a nice recharge.

Food and drinks were fine but the layout of tables were too cramped, navigating around with hot drinks and lots of mums with young children was a concern.Could possibly do with 4 small tables less to allow better access and egress.However it was a very busy lunchtime

Not the biggest of cafes but busy all the same. Seating varies from comfy seats over looking shops and car parks to tables and chairs ( not the most comfortable). Not much room for wheelchairs, pushchairs etc. Staff very friendly with nothing too much bother. Lovely cup of tea and delicious scones. Toilets easily accessible from cafe as is lift. Will visit again but hopefully will not be as busy.

Been here a few times when shopping in Team Valley I find the cafe is your usual M & S which is nice food but lacks atmosphere maybe the bright lights?
