Marks And Spencer Cafe, Tiverton in Mid Devon

The toasted sandwich was not toasted just soggy and the fat was coming out of the cheese. The coffee weak. Service slow person taking order then makes up order . apparently one has to wait at the counter for ones heated food but was not told until it was brought to our table and told we should have waited. With hindsight the cafe was less than half full on a Saturday morning which I should have read as a sign of bad food and service

Poor. The standards of M&S cafes seem to have fallen. I shall not use them again. Cake was dry, chipped tea cup and poor surroundings. Staff were willing but prevented from offering good customer service. No saucer for my tea cup! Why I asked. Reply; too many were being broken. They introduced this to keep costs down. Where do you put your teaspoon. Oh yes on the transport cafe formica table whilst sitting on very uncomfortable chairs whilst being told we close in 20 minutes! Terrible. £10+ for two pots of tea and two dry ends of cake. Mmmm, I think I will give M&S a miss from now on.

I wish cafes would not cut corners over coffee. Those who drink it black get the full taste and nothing worse than wishy washy coffee

A nice little cafe with lovely staff and fast service. Coffee and cakes are nice and a reasonable price.

The machine outside the cafe shop is policed by the Rip off (according to resolver Martin Lewis)company euro carparks. A nice day buying a meal champagne and a house warming present ruined by a parking notice even though we left with one hour still on the ticket.

Wonderful and fresh tea time,cozy and lovely as I like it.You can buy your groceries and then stop by at the cafe to drink something and relax a bit.Family friendly and suitable to go with kids.

It was easy to park and a table was free over the busy Saturday lunch period. Staff were lovely. Food ordered and it came quite quickly always helpful with little ones. I had a jacket potato with chilli which was delicious . It was clean and tidy. After lunch hit the shop which I adore the quality of there products is excellent. So if you want a quick bite before you shop all under one roof I recommend this place .

We visited here to get something to eat whilst on a day out to Tiverton The tables hadn’t been cleared so we cleared one to use. I had a cream tea (the scone was stale) and my son had an overpriced ham & cheese sandwich (more cheese and fat than ham), needless to say our food wasn’t eaten. The ladies toilet was locked but there didn’t appear to be anyone in there so everyone was queuing to use the filthy disabled toilet. This food hall is not up to the usual M&S standards and I won’t be using it again.

Hubby had a full English and i had a sandwich, Both meals were pretty tasteless and certainly not up to M & S usual standard. Our local store in Truro is far superior.

Often a small/poor selection of food coffee ok and usually able to get seat. Toilets are very clean.

our first visit - not a special atmosphere but a really lovely cup of coffee with a nice little biscuit, perfect for a quick stop if you are shopping - good value and choice of sizes. As good as any in Tiverton except for along the canal....

On 25th Nov I telephoned customer services before we went who informed us hot food available at Tiverton up until 15 minutes before closing restaurant. Arrived 20 minutes before closing and was refused hot food !!! Other customers also refused. Rest of store open until 8pm that day

This is well placed for the main shopping area and has a good selection of food and drinks for all ages. You wouldn't go there for a special meal, but the food is up to their usual good standard.

i happened to be in Tiverton today and went for a coffee in M&S. i have always like the place as they served nice coffee. it is a few months since my last visit and what a disappointment - it was awful. i ordered a black americano, the person checked i did not want milk and gave me my coffee - as i was carrying it to the table i thought it did not look really black - when i tasted it - it tasted diluted, after three sips i took it back to the counter and said it tasted very weak. the person behind the counter offer to make me another - i asked her to withdraw the cup when it was about 3/4 full, unfortunately this cup tasted just as bad, so i left it and walked out. from memory the price was the same as last year so does that mean they have held the price and reduced the coffee quality - bad idea, if i want a coffee i want a good one

Tucked down below the main street in Tiverton, and 30 seconds from the bus station, is the M&S cafe. If you spend money in the cafe you get the parking fee off your bill, bargain. A typical M&S cafe coffee, cakes, toasties, flapjacks and a full range of soft and fruit drinks. Always good quality, and served by lovely staff.

The the went into M & S shopping so we stop for a coffee did not take long to get served , the tables were clean and the the was good

Its such a great smell of coffee and lots of chatting people friends and family all enjoying the atmosphere in the well seated area of M and S cafe lots of bakes and all at affordable costs enjoy with a lovely welcome in the every popular M and S Cafe.

Brought car park ticket for 1 hour did my shopping got two take away coffees to have in the car with family member. I had good 40 mins left on the car park ticket, Car park attendant then came up to the car and took photograph of us, like that the hell is that about ! , got out of the car to talk to a very very rude car park attendant , He is very lazy so instead of going around the cars to keep eye on things he just photographs them instead. Will not be visiting this store again , this M&S store makes you feel like you have committed a crime lol

Pricey but nice - clean, friendly and fairly quick. Small but then its not a major store. Set into the corner of the clothing department you can watch everyone else shop - and spot your friends as they browse by.

I have no idea how any cafe could think that microwaving a toasted sandwich could end in anything but disaster. Often grab a snack from m&s and find their products usually a high standard, today I had a bit more time and thought I would give a cafe a try, toasties-dreadful, carrot cake-far too sweet, almond croissant-soggy the other items were bottled juice and crisps. Summing up, for £17.00 this was pretty poor repast so prob won't go again.

As supermarket cafe's go this is a pleasant one although a little on the pricey side. Both meals and snacks are available, but not being someone who frequents this supermarket often am unable to give opinion on the meals available.

Nice cafe but on two occasions they have run out of what I wanted before 1pm which I felt was unacceptable when the food store is on hand and items could have been replaced. Staff were friendly however and the food they had was good M&S fare.
