Haven't been for a while BUT place has changed - not for the good - no more sausage toasties etc - selection down prices up - Baked Potato - small potato served tepid with ice cold cheese + ' Slaw ' full of pomegranate seeds to break the teeth - limp salad veg - not appetising and nearly not edible . and def not worth £6.00 - not worth at any £ if you can't eat it. Get your act together and serve appetising/edible food - get back to basics .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The person serving had no patience, we arrived and tried to read the menu and were asked 4 times were we ordering hot food, this was seconds after arriving. The staff shouted questions and orders at each other which I haven't seen in any other Marks and Spenser cafe. The food was awful, I actually wouldn't eat here again.

Went to M&S cafe 8th June for tea. Couldn't hear ourselves talk as the big girl clearing the tables was constantly shouting to her equally noisy colleague who was banging the crockery and cutlery into containers. If you want a quiet cuppa and friendly staff avoid this place at all costs. Would have been quieter having my cuppa on the dual carriageway.

For a store that sells Men's Suits, Shirts etc. They ONLY had a choice of four, yes 4 Ties. Who in under God is doing the buying for Ballymena Marks. Shame on you. Disgrace.

Popped in here on route to Belfast. The in laws are M&S fanatics so when they so this it was a must. They had their usual lattes but were very disappointed with them, they said they were not as good as M&S in Ipswich, Suffolk. The lattes were not frothy and more like flat whites. More work on the coffee brewing please, hope for them to have their minds changed if we pop back.

Needed food for a family get-together. You can always rely on m&s to have those little extras that make all the difference. Staff are always really friendly and helpful.

Christmas shopping with family. Stodgy sandwiches, overly priced and poor service. Disappointed to say the least.

Awful restaurant - poor value for money - tables dirty and uncleared a lot of the time- counter staff couldn't care less - don't look at customers-don't say thanks or can I help you- milk containers usually unfilled -Karen would be the only member of staff who speaks pleasantly to customers. Cannot understand why the store manager of restaurant supervisor doesn't see this and do not act on consistently bad reviews -worst place to eat in Ballymena in my view

A handy and convenient stop. Good variety, however has hardly changed in past 5 years. Maybe needs updating. Queue can be slow if just wanting a coffee

A boring variety of snacks. Scones pancakes toasties. Pack of 4 small sandwiches which are grossly under filled and over priced. 2 many staff sharing roles and not fast enough for this busy area. Long queues going no where fast. Overall disappointed

Food is overpriced -counter staff couldn't be bothered even filling up milk jugs-no thank you- no eye contact- too busy gossiping amongst themselves whilst customers stand waiting -Karen is only exception to this with a hello and how are you for all. Not my favourite coffee shop in Ballymena and I would not recommend it -I wonder does the store management ever get involved...obviously not!! Montgomery's is much better -better staff-better range-better prices and you get refills!!

we had a quick snack and cappuccino. very overpriced and staff not very pleasant. surrounding is alright but i don't like the way customers in the shop can stop and stare but that is just my preference... i don't like that. it would have been better if we had been at a window seat but unable to obtain one

M&S; might get some things right the café is not one of those although they might think so because it can be very busy at times. However staff seem disinterested and food is overpriced.

My husband and I went here today for some lunch. However there was nothing much there to eat. We got 2 drinks and a slice of lemon drizzle cake and it came to close to £8. Staff are all depressed and unfriendly. Won't be back.

Very few restaurants or cafes located in stores or supermarkets can be regarded as better than mediocre. Occasionally you can find one that gives your shopping experience a bonus. Sadly this is not one of them. Overpriced and overrated.

I frequented this coffee shop quite often but have chosen now to go elsewhere primarily due to the attitude of the staff who are more interested in their private conversations than attending to customers-milk jugs not filled and when you ask for milk a large container is shoved at you to gill jug yourself-staff can't even be bothered to look at customers and act in a totally disinterested manner-customers seem to be a bother-suggest unhappy customers try Montgomerys coffee shop in Ballymoney street,Ballymena- staff are the extreme opposite

Went for a cup of coffee with a friend and was hungry but didn't think they would have gluten free products but they do... a good range and scones as well which have not seen before anyway. Branded as wheat free now but still gr8 for me.

Was here last week and it is even worse, the cups for juice is completely stained. The food is no good. The "fizzy" drinks are completely flat and stale. The staff don't even know what they're doing. This place seriously needs improved.

My wife and I called here for coffee recently. It's self service, so on reaching for a tray, the top tray had old food "caked" onto it. I set it aside but the next tray had milk spilled on it. I had to go down 4 trays to get a clean one. The staff serving the coffee were focussed on talking to each other and the service was slow. It was difficult to find a clean table as some had not been cleared since the last customer. My wife commented on the footwear of one of the staff - very grubby old trainers. Not the standards I would expect from M & S. Overall a less than satisfactory experience.

M&S is the choice of those with a certain discernment - an acquired taste that applies to their café. It is worth remembering that all that glisters is not gold. Hotels charge outrageous prices for sandwiches but then they are providing more than food. I fail to understand how a supermarket canteen justifies such prices.

I visit M&S café regularly for a light lunch. I've noticed standards have been slipping regarding service and staff attitude. I like the choice and consistent quality of food available but the coffee can be dreadful. Last week it was my worst ever visit - luke- warm coffee with no flavour, no milk jugs & no milk. I had to reach across the girl at the till to get my own napkins. Tables were not cleared of dirty dishes etc. M&S charge high prices for their food and coffee but the current service does not reflect this.

Anytime I'm shopping in Ballymena this is my favourite 'resting' place. They serve an excellent cup of tea, the toasted tea cakes are lovely and the ham and cheese toasty is very tasty. Service is efficient and friendly. A very good place just to sit and regroup on a shopping outing.

Waoh what a complete turn around from the start of the month! My sister and I visited here on the 2nd October and weren't impressed, however we decided to give it another go at the end of the month with my 8yr old son and baby daughter and I have to say it was a lot better! The staff were friendly and actually took the time tospeak to their customers and as it was Halloween there were staff on the floor handing out pictures for the kids to colour in and hang on the wall which was great. There was a good atmosphere about the cafe and the coffee was delicious as usual! Well done M&S........ Good job! :)

My sister and I normally meet up in ballymena every month as it's a central location for both of us. We always end up at the same rendezvous location.......M&S cafe but to be honest this is more out of habit than a love of the place. I feel that the selection of foods available is very limited and a bit too pricey. There is always a huge line of people waiting to be served which goes down rather slowly and the staff are far from friendly. Don't get me wrong they are never rude, they just don't talk to their customers other than to ask them what they want. The tables are always dirty and are very slow to be cleaned. To be honest i always feel like im back at the school cafeteria as the food is just ok, over priced, the staff have little or no interest in their customers and there's a serious lack of atmosphere! :(

Call in to M&S coffee shop every week when im in town.Always have the same mushroom toastie which is always tastey have to say coffee is always nice and warm. The only thing that lets the place down is that a couple of the staff (the older ones I might add) look and act like they are doing you a favour serving you.

This cafe is quite fine, lots of people eat and drink there, there could be a better selection of food but what there currently is, will do fine. Their Luxury Hot Chocolate is very nice I would recommend to anybody. Around the cafe there is a great selection of cookery books & essentials and men's clothing. Downstairs is the main M&S food hall and childrens & women's clothing

I went for a cup of coffee with my wife. The service was extremely slow and the waitress who dealt with me looked as if she couldn't be bothered which is most unusual for M&S. It took forever to get through and there were no napkins displayed (I had to ask for some). Certianly a disappointing visit.

This coffee shop within the Fairhill Shopping complex in Ballymena is very disappointing. I rate a coffee shop by the quality of their coffee and this one scores zero. I have been in many times now each time hoping to find some improvement, but I'm afraid not. The coffee is usually lukewarm, even when I ask for it to be made hot and on many occasions there is more froth in the cup than coffee. Some of the staff are very polite and make me a fresh cup on request but others obviously feel that I am just a bother or too fussy. The food on offer is just ok but very overpriced. There are many really good coffee shops in Ballymena, read their reviews, I would give this one a miss and walk the short distance into town.

I can remember some really good lunches at Cameron's but not today! Beef stew and potatoes more like school corned beef for £5.60... mistakenly added 3 scoops of mashed potatoes (not finished) and tired, shredded cabbage/peppers for an extra £3.90... won't be back in a hurry!

Costa Coffee in Ballymena provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing break. The staff are friendly and the coffee is consistent, with a good selection of beverages and snacks/ sweet treats to choose from. The seating is comfortable, though the café can get busy during peak hours, making it difficult to find a spot. Overall, it's a great place if you’re looking for a cosy place to unwind or catch up with friends that isn’t in the heart of Ballymena or while you wait to go see a movie at the IMC
