Nice clean space & staff friendly

Typical Costa cafe with plenty of seating. Nice enough space and the service was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only issue I would have is that some of the soft seats have had better days and could do with a bit of a refresh.

Filthy , disgusting place.I dont think place was cleaned since opening . Most of chairs are filthy and broken , tables are filthy , carpet is black . Good luck if you need napkins , nowhere to be seen.

Great coffee and food choices. However, the seating and interior decor could do with a sprucing up.

Some of the seats are in a disgusting and unhygienic state. Surely Costa’s profits (must be large considering the cost of drinks) stretch to some refurbishment.

On walking in the place smelt like a dirty toastie machine, despite it being early in the morning and the place empty. The floors were clearly not hoovered from yesterday and looked like they hadn't been mopped or cleaned in months. The seats I walked past were covered in stains and the staff were half a sleep. Despite being 9 days before Christmas they didn't have gift vouchers. I ordered a coffee and a tea cake and wasn't asked for my loyalty card, when offering my loyalty card I was told it was too late... A generally disappointing experience 😕

Great food but getting expensive

Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and a quiet space. Coffee could be better but by no means bad Kids hot chocolate is £1.10 and comes with a marshmallow. Nice way to keep the cost down.

Their blend of coffee is smoother than Nero's, not as bitter. The chocolate dusting for their milk based coffee's tastes like chocolate, not like some others. Best coffee you will find in Ballymena is at the garden centre restaurant at Galgorm Castle. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😋

Great atmosphere and great coffee!!

Really good. I got a mango bubble frappechino and a bacon roll. Both tasted delicious! Ordered a medium, and it was actually a good size compared to what some places have where the medium is barely any bigger than a small so good-sized drink. It's really good.

Too noisy to enjoy a quiet conversation with coffee

Like most Costa a little oasis on its own

Coffee is excellent. However the toilets are very dirty. I noticed a dirty tissue on the floor and when I revisited a number of days later - it was still there in the same place! Mirrors and wash hand basins have dirty splash marks. Meanwhile the staff behind the till are standing idle! Very disappointing.

Lovely place to go and have good coffee very friendly

Really great barista who made me a caramel macchiato, using two espressos, even though it isn't in the menu and other Costa stores didn't try. There is loads of space and privacy to work in the store and there are plenty of charging points.

Could do with keeping the sisp dispensers topped up. No soap to wash hands, which n is poor in an eating and beverage establishment.

Very nice just to seat and watch the world go by

Not a great experience personally 1 app is very confusing, I had downloaded Costa UK as Northern Ireland is in the UK. .but was told it should have been Csta Ireland, so missed out on points and the better UK offer. 2 My gift card which i had received as a Christmas gift had expired. ...my reason for going to Costa was to spend this. 3 Costa had run out of Caramel syrup. Strawberry and mint iced tea very weak tasting.

Nice Costa shop staff friendly but I'm not happy with the fact if you get a free cup of coffee on the app in England you can't get the free cup in northern Ireland which is a discrace the last time I heard northern ireland is still part of the UK unless I'm mistaken Costa is Costa wherever you go so for that 2stars 👎

Lovely staff, plug sockets & a fair few tables. Great for having a meeting without an office. More gluten free & dairy free options would be helpful.

My wife and I love our wee costa nights Thursday and Friday on the way home from work for a nice coffee ☕ a chat and to chill

Best Costa l have been to. Seems to keep a larger stock of "eats" than other Northern Ireland Costas.

The service has fallen badly, no spoons or napkins on the trays, tables dirty, trays not lifted. One staff member doing the coffees while I noticed other staff fooling about in the store area.

Not an enjoyable experience had better customer service from a robot a very cold service at the till and waited and waited until wrap was cooked by that time teas sitting on the counter and getting colder and then carrying them down might as well do drive thru

Not a problem here but be early as there are queues later.

A good size Costa, coffee was very good. The down side no choice of toasties and rolls at 2pm ish only 2 things left. Good parking.

Ouside tabels are not cleaned but inside is good. Inside tabels well managed.

I went for a coffee today n ballymea costa just of the larne rd at the cinama with my cousin and a freind were we were sitting having our usual and a chat. When an unfreindly staff member who was cleaning the table next to us asked what we are looking at we answered excuse me she said we were doing alot off staring i quickly stated we were not looking at her and she replied whatever... As a result of this me n my freinds will no longer use costa coffee as a place to meet for coffee.. Very dis heartened at the attitude and ordasidy of the server and customer service i will be making a formal complaint as i and my freinds and family use this costa quite regularly infact it could be 2 to 3 times a day... Very embarrasing and rude... 😠

Coffee was good, service was fine. Lots of room but could do with being redecorated. Outside in particular!

When it comes to paying tribute to the staff in this branch of Costa, I feel almost at a loss as to how I can adequately express appreciation to Matty and the other staff members. Matty is clearly a great team leader and this clearly plays an immeasurable part in motivating those under his watch. I always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and of course the coffee is made very special. I wish all involved continued success. Geo (Young) loyal customer.

Coffee good. Service good. Company policy really bad. Cancelled loyalty cards with no notice to customers and brought In new system with no credit for points customers have built up over time. Very poor

My usual sit down coffee stop but today bad experience outside is filthy wirh napkins,food and mostly cigarette ends on the ground staff don't seem to bothered my table was stained with coffee and overflowing Ash tray, also outside bin full and its only 12.30 !!!

Traveled up to Ballymena for an hour, stopped in for a coffee. Nice, clean place, screens at the front, track and trace QR code to scan. Fun times.

Asked for decaf cappuccino and they made me a latte and their decaf isn't strong enough they shout putan extra shot of the decaf in it

Good coffee and food served properly heated.

Staff were efficient and the coffee was good. Downside was the collection of food and drinks was a little chaotic due to the distancing requirements. The process could be smoother.

Good Costa. Very big inside and plenty of outside seating. Very comfy to sit in although the service was quite slow and they didn't have all menu items in stock. Good wee stop while family members were getting their vaccine at the nearby vaccination centre.

Well spaced out, good size, great service. Bit overpriced and music is quite loud if you're there to chat.

Customer service was horrendous. Standing talking and on phone behind till. Watched me struggle to carry my purchase to the table while pushing a double pram, then laughed at me when I dropped my lemon tart. I wont be back

Asked for a black and a white coffee. They acknowledge the order but after I drove off I realised I had received 2 white coffees. The coffee was good but not what I ordered.

Found the staff difficult to understand. Got overcharged. A member of staff came out to tell people what way to que and spoke to them like school children

I try and go to independent coffee shops, but must admit Costa always has nice sandwiches, coffee and tray-bakes. The chicken and bacon wrap was lovely, as was the pecan and banana bread. Plenty of sanitised stations, Was very busy and staff were doing a great job.

My friends in college and I all come here for takeaway coffee, tea and hot chocolate every Thursday to kick start us in the morning before class. The staff are always nice and friendly. I don't have any complaints.

Excellent free parking outside this Costa. Great variety of seating inside and few outside. Plugs and phone charging points available. A great meeting place, sadly variety of food and quality don’t match up. Dried up cakes and the same prepackaged plastic covering sandwiches for years. Please give us something different Costa. Hot drinks acceptable, food needs to improve.

It's just a home from home just sit down and relax you could literally spend hours here and not even realise the time going by ☕🍫👌

Staff were lovely and coffee was good as usual only reason i gave a 3. Unfortunately the hygiene has decreased. The carpets are a disgrace with dirt and stains and the particians are thick with grease dirt and cobwebs. A deep clean and freshen up desperately needed On a positve note toilets were clean
