I often go to this cafe with elderly family members when we visit Romford as they like to go here. Today it was very busy in there and to be honest they could go with more seating room in the cafe. You do deserve like you are far too close to other tables. It was very busy in there today, we were lucky as we managed to get a table, which we had to clear ourselves, but most people who were getting food would have found it hard to find an empty table. They should look at how many customers they have and if they are packed then they should turn people away as it’s not fair if people buy food and drinks but have no where to sit. Food and drink have always been nice in there, staff seem very friendly, but I always have to ask for more butter to go with our toasted tea cakes!

I have eaten here for the last couple of weeks While on a trip to Romford with family members. All thefts kits have been socially distanced and the staff have been very friendly and helpful. The food is always good here and with the governments eat out policy the price is so cheap and worth a visit. We will eat here once the deal is over as the food is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Friendly quick efficient service. So far so good. Tea nice...in a pot.....very good. But the main event...toasties.....very poor. Already made in the cabinet you pass them over to presumably get the toastie finish. Well disappointed with the end result. Obviously just heated up in the microwave. No evidence of toasting on the bottom. And the Dijon mustard was a bit overwhelming.

I visited this cafe while out with my mum, she always goes to this cafe with friends when they are out. The service was very quick and friendly, the toasted tea cake I had was very nice, lots of flavour and full of fruit. The coffee was good and the tea came up in a white teapot with white China cup and saucer. It was very busy in there but they did seem to have a lot of tables and chairs, and the tables were cleared quickly by the staff. My mum has had afternoon tea here and she said it was lovely. I will go back now that I have tried it and I would recommend this cafe to shoppers. It is on the first floor which you can get to by escalator and I am sure there is a lift in the shop as well.

Nice coffee and slice of cake, or fresh sandwich. Usual nice, clean M&S cafe, clean with helpful staff.

Conveniently located in the Marks and Spencer store which has acces both from the pedestrianised South Street and the shopping mall. Fair size, usual layout and usual menu as found in all Marks and Spencer cafes. Busy at lunchtimes and staff can be slow to clear tables.

The Americano coffee was average in flavour but the cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. We found an empty table that still had crumbs on it from the last customer. The table next to us was heaped with used plates and leftover food, with some of the food spilt on the floor. We were there for 26 minutes and in all this time we only saw one table cleared and wiped down. Needless to say, it wasn't the one next to us. I expect more from a market leader like Marks.

Get fed up of being charged 6 quid for a branded coffee in the coffee places locally. So now I prefer going to marks and getting a decent large Americano for under 3 quid. They do lovely sandwiches or soups with a roll too. I had tomato and basil with a gf roll. Lovely chunks of tomatoe. Great taste Delish! Husband had 6 quarter sandwiches which he said were lovely. That and 2 coffees were less than 13 pounds. And I got sparks points. In Romford the cafe is upstairs at the back. Decent amount of comfy seats . Food when it’s ready brought to you. Toilets off in next corner.

I’ve had a lot of Chinese and this was by far the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life. £23 spent and after 2 bites the whole lot went in the bin. Nasty.
