Ordered on website one was gluten free waited for it to come when delivered no gluten free one message on box said tried to contact us to let us know but no-one did. Got my pizza stone cold and got potato tots with 4 cheeses the 4 cheeses were in a clump in the middle also cold. Will not be using again.

Ordered online over an hour ago. Order being delivered by Uber eats from the Romford Branch. Strange message received saying I’m here and I can confirm the order has not been delivered. We have ring doorbell proof that no one has tried to deliver the food. Tried ringing the shop and it goes straight to voicemail. Which we have left messages. We ordered directly from the Papa Johns Website. After 2 hours my husband goes down to the shop only to be made to feel like a liar and having to show ring doorbell footage that the order did not arrive. Too busy to process a refund or cook a new order. My husband didn’t leave until they said it had been refunded (took 6 days)This is not good enough! We went to Dominoes Pizza amazing service and much better food also cheaper! Update 21/02: after seeing the below reply I contacted customer services with a detailed email only for the ‘ticket’ to then be deleted and then fobbed off as the refund has finally gone through. No gestures of goodwill, no real customer service here this place must be a franchise as it appears head office don’t have a say and then the ticket / case closed. Other restaurants are available don’t waste your money or time ordering here guys! 0 stars! What used to be a good chain of restaurants is now not fit for purpose. AVOID!

This place is a nightmare ordered through the website the order was then given to Uber to deliver it didn’t turn up, husband visited the shop and told them the order hadn’t arrived.Had to show our ring doorbell for them to believe him. Avoid at all costs!!! Text message sent by a lying Driver that did not deliver. Sort it out PJ your customer service is terrible.

Just had a delivery of 2 pizzas and they were awful, hardly any toppings and sauce ,in fact probably the worst takeaway pizza I've had in a long time. I would not recommend. So you've asked for specifics ,can you not read!! Hardly any toppings or sauce!! If you'd like more detail then here we go. It was cold ,burnt on the minuscule toppings that were on there, hardly any cheese ,it was supposed to be double pepperoni and you were lucky if there was a piece on each slice, it was dry ,over all it was a disaster. There's no feedback follow up to ask how my order was and that screams alarm bells. Like I said before, you used to be good ,better ingredients and all that ,but now I'd say on that performance you're probably the worst pizza chain out there. Is that enough detail for you,

Ordered 2XXL Pizzas and because they didn't fit in the drivers bag they decided to ram it in resulting in the pizza slices being squished all up and ontop of each other. The pizzas were stale, luke warm and not very nice. 24hrs later I am vomiting and have diarrhea. Won't be ordering again be sticking with dominoes

Would give 0 but there is no option. We had ordered online, but they didn’t have chicken wings so we asked for a refund and we would pay again in store. When we went to pay, she overcharged us and we noticed so we told our concern, but she said we were in the wrong even though we showed her proof. This was very unprofessional way of dealing . I don’t know how they employee, but this is very bad service. When we arrived home with the food they had gave us very cold food keep in mind we live 5 mins from the store . Overall, very bad service and staff. VERY UNSATISFYING!!!

ABSOLUTE FILTH. Don’t order from here. My food eventually arrived, delivered by a car that had four people in it who were all smoking. The seal on my box was broken, the car was full of cigarette smoke which meant some filthy human was smoking over my food. The box REAKED of smoke and to top it off I had items missing from my delivery. The restaurant don’t care about the poor reviews. The place wants shutting down for DREADFUL hygiene practises. Filthy, awful food joint. Avoid like the plague.

Please do not even waste your time. They are the most terrible service I’ve ever dealt with. Everytime I give them another chance due to craving papa John’s, I’m disappointed and on the verge of tears. They are horrible. Do not order or even pick up from them! Trust me, waste hours of my time multiple phone calls, talking to my bank about refunds and disputes. It’s too much.

Won’t be ordering from here again . Will be using other pizza 🍕 companies instead . I had a query with an online delivery order. Straight after I placed the order , I called the branch up - but no one answered. It was a while and after several attempts when someone finally answered. But by that time it was too late I was told . I did contact papa johns customer care just to raise my points to them - but did not get much response from them . Been ordering papa johns for a while - but no more now .

Romford Papa John's quality is shocking compared to the surrounding area branches Unfortunately, this Papa Johns has been on a slow and steady decline in quality. We have been ordering delivery from this Papa Johns for a couple of years now and again. Originally the food was great. However, over the past year, the quality of the food has turned woefully dreadful and my most recent order was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Recent orders, pizzas have arrived cold and very dry, there is very little sauce and toppings, this makes the pizza overall very dry and tasteless most of the time. Items have also been missing such as additional paid dips which I've had to contact head office to get refunded. As the best the store would offer is an IOU and no guarantee that it would actually be honoured come the next order. The only reason we kept ordering was the sides were actually decent. I have noticed also that ever since Uber eats took over delivering the orders, delivery times are much longer! However, back to today's order, we got the Big Match bundle, which is two pizzas and two classic sides and a drink. As what seems the norm, the order seems to be cutting and checking for over 10 minutes on the tracking portal before it's picked up by UberEATS. On delivery the Pizzas were lukewarm and tasteless, however the real shock is when we opened the Garlic Pizza Sticks and saw how burnt and dry it was. See the attached Picture. It looks nothing like what it should do as advertised on the website. (Second attached picture) Paraphrasing Gordon Ramsay "Overcooked on the bottom/top, crispy as ****, and it looks like Gandhi’s flip flop" I cannot believe that the person "cutting & checking" the order thought this is acceptable to send out to a customer. As such I have sent a complaint to Papa John Customer service on this order and have advised for a review into this branch given drastic decline in quality. I think these issues are purely down to how this branch is run and its management. I've had Papa Johns delivered from different branches in surrounding areas and they have been much better quality then the Romford one. As an example, we ordered 10 pizzas from the Barkingside branch, and they came with 45 mins and all still hot and tasted great. A night & day difference between the Barkingside and Romford Branches. It's actually shocking how bad the Romford branch has become and it is an embarrassment to the Papa John's Franchise.

TLDR: This place is consistently good, seems to be slandered by people who had one bad experience out of 100 leading to a negative review. Unsure of the large amount of negative reviews. I regularly order from here and while the quality of the products and service has some variance as is the case with every business, I have had minimal issues with delivery times and forgotten items. The quality of the pizza has always been far above other competitors, and delivery times are much more consistent as compared to a few years ago. Price is perfectly reasonable as well, with Papa rewards giving you points that can lead up to a free large pizza.

Ordered through UberEats and food did not arrive. Rang Papa John’s and said “it’s not my responsibility since you ordered on a 3rd party app”. Very disappointed. Our dinner missing…

I used to be a huge fan of this pizza place;However, I’ve noticed a significant drop in quality lately that has left me quite disappointed. The last few times I ordered the toppings seemed less generous and not as fresh, which really affected the overall taste. Even the sauce not good enough

I am an Uber driver. When I go in the restaurant to pick my order manager behave rudely. He is unprofessional and making fun of me and force me to cancel my order and misbehave with me.

The pizza looked too dry and unappetising!! Will honestly NOT be in a hurry to order from here next time. Papa Johns used to be one of my favorites. What on earth happened???

Well after paying nearly £50 for 2 pizzas I would just like to say how I felt the toppings were totally lacking!! I’ve had this deal before with no complaints but this time. What a joke. I’ll include a photo. I only asked for the black olives to be removed not all of the toppings!😂😂

Forgot stuff on my order, 23 mins late to the time I selected to have the delivery, and refused to refund me as it was too late when I returned the call. I ordered it for 7pm as I had to go out at 7:30, my order turned up at 7:23 and I had to eat it as quick as possible and then completed a 1.5HR drive. Really disappointed with this as this was my go to place to go for food. To top this all off, the garlic bread was dry and the pizza toppings were hard.

Real shame to be honest. Pizzas came and were cold aswell as the sides. Opened pizzas and was shocked at how little toppings there was, both pizzas had minimal cheese and about 1% sauce. Gave me upset stomach, would avoid! Plus very very VERY expesive for what you get.

The worst experience I have ever had !!! Stay clear of this place , they lied about home delivery when they delivered my food an hour ago, the worst burnt looking pizza I have ever seen, and honestly they felt like “what’s the problem “ in other words take or live it!!! Food arrived on time and was hot but the pizza was extremely oily as you can see by the photo I have taken of the box from said pizza. I have had papa John's many times but never from this branch, I will not be returning again, pizza should never be that greasy. Highly disappointed.
