Marks and Spencer Cafe in Taunton Deane

The cafe food is great plenty of highchairs the service area could be improved so your not waiting so long less people making cups of tea and more clearing tables

Visited the café inside Marks and Spencer, Taunton and was very impressed with the service. I hadn't been there for years and the food that I ordered was piping hot. Will definitely visit again and also the Marks and Spencer Cafe inside Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton where I found a person playing on the piano.

Always love going to M&S cafe, nice drinks and the food is good, recommend the breakfast. The staff are polite and helpful - overheard another customer being so rude to one of the young men clearing tables. Just because you’ve paid for a cup of coffee doesn’t give you the right to treat the staff like dirt well done to the staff for staying cool and polite.

Ordered a cheesy jacket potato, this was delivered to the table, but was small and the jacket was burnt and hard to cut. Would not go here again

Feeling hungry decided to try the full English breakfast, what a surprise. An excellent plateful of perfectly cooked items served with a smile. Really good value for money and comfortable seating. Will have again.

Hadn’t been to Marks and Spencer for coffee in a long while so thought it would make a change to meet the family for coffee there. The staff are very polite and the facility very clean but the coffee is very average and the place has no atmosphere. You used to get a bicky with your coffees but even that didn’t happen. Don’t think I will bother again.

The cafe at M&S is average for a store cafe. The service counter is quite slow, but it is no worse than the average store cafe. The biggest problem we had was finding a table that had been cleared.

Popped in here whilst Christmas shopping on Saturday afternoon, it was very busy but we managed to get a table, I thought it was very good value Toastie & a seasonal drink for £5 given that the toastie’s are £4.50 however, both me & my aunt noticed that once the toastie started to cool down it became quite difficult to cut & chew, I ate mine as fast as I could, but my aunt had to leave some of hers because it was just too ‘tough’ to eat / chew.As I find with the Yeovil M&S cafe the floor was also filthy, had to rest my handbag on my lap, I never ever see anyone sweeping the floor.

Wife likes a scone, I like the breakfast roll, both very enjoyable and sensibly priced. Coffee acceptable and complementary WiFi. Cafe very basic .

After a shopping trip in Taunton yesterday - including the M and S store - we decided to have coffee before driving home. It was only 3.30 but the cakes were in short supply and nothing to tempt us. Never mind we thought you do get a little biscuit with tea/coffee. However at the drinks customers were being advised that they had run out of biscuits......with customers advising ..but you sell them downstairs ...can t someone get some for the cafe? The response was that m and s would soon be stopping the biscuits with drinks - but said the two customers in front of me- you haven't stopped them yet. Sad to say none of us got our biscuit. To top it I was then told the cafe had run out of milk jugs and my milk was served in a glass. Not the end of the world I know but certainly not what I expect from M and S.

Good spot for a coffee and a chat, the drinks are good and the staff are really friendly. Plenty of seating and very conveniently located.

Me and my girlfriend dropped in the to the m and s cafe for some food we paid and the staff took are stuff to be heated up about nearly half a hour we had still not got are food it looks like there heat the Food up by the table even if you do have a number on you table there were so many people sat there with numbers on there tables just waiting for there food with no drinks left because there had drunk them eating for there food not good service at all from a big shop like m and s.

This is a place I like to visit on a Sunday morning whilst I am visiting the store to do food shopping. Lovely hot drinks generally served with a small biscuit. There's always a friendly buzz in here when I sit down.

I was so cross this am, every table with dirty crockery AGAIN, so I picked the cups on my table, marched them into the kitchen where 4 staff were talking and told them their restaurant was a disgrace. This brought a young lady out who then did the job. Don’t you have a restaurant manager who keeps an eye on things, if you do they are not doing their job! If my husband been with me he would have gone, he calls the cafe, cafe retired, because if your not,by the time you are served, you would be!

We were here last saturday outside was a board advertising all day breakfast we went in and ordered, only to be told this is not available, why advertise an item that is not available.

I visited the cafe in M & S Taunton.There was one lady in front of me in the queue ,Yet it still took 15 minutes until I got to even give my order .The lady in the queue before me had a “ voucher “ , three members of staff were trying to negotiate their way around the till system.Whilst I stood and waited , I even offered to pay for the ladies crisps as it was taking three members of staff to work out the till / voucher in order for the lady to have her crisps .The manager was to be fair to him , quite apologetic .He even offered to give me some scones to take away as a gesture of good will .Sadly these never materialised and I was certainly not going to ask for them.The tea for two was of a reasonable standard, but the service was absolutely appalling .The ladies that were serving were at best incompetent.I will never be returning to this store as customer.

Cheese scones are still great, but, sadly, the coffee has deteriorated and is getting more expensive. Coffee is much better, and much better value at Piazza in the old pig market. Not good value for money.

Me and my girlfriend,have been here several times recently,and are very happy, with the service,and food,and drinks,are very good,too! Prices are a bit pricey,for the hot meals,though. Lovely for a coffee,and a chat,too.

Good Food and Drink at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Ideal for all the family. A great place to refresh yourself when shopping in town. Thoroughly recommended.

I took my mum out to lunch today and we ordered two toasties. We waited 25 minutes and when I chased up our order up they had no idea that we were waiting for food, even though we had a number stand stood on our table! Not great, late back to work and won't be rushing back. Disappointing service today M&S.

The cafe is upstairs in this M&S. A bog standard cafe from M&S, Toasties ,coffees flapjacks, cupcakes etc. We chose the Cumberland sausage roll, plenty of filling and no nasty grissly bits, lovely. Quick service pleasant staff, and all served with a smile.

Every time we go it's always very busy, The quality of food is good, sometimes there are very young people serving that don't seem to know what they are doing so service very slow, and hot drinks served luke warm. But it will not stop us from going in, it just needs to be addressed.

È stata la prima volta che andavamo a questo Cafè nonostante eravamo entrati tantissime volte nel negozio, e la scelta è stata ripagata in pieno. Abbiamo preso 2 cappuccini, una zuppa è un toast. Veramente buoni!!!Per una breve sosta ve lo consigliamo!!!!

We visit here regularly for the excellent cheese scones, which really are excellent value for money. Coffee is O K too

We use the cafe when we are in Taunton as a break from shopping. They have a good selection of drinks and snacks.

It is high standard M&S Fair, The wife And I normally have tea or coffee and a toasted sandwich and Cake for a lunchtime snack, the Coffee can be a little strong sometimes though ...

Yea they gave good service with a happy smile and all at a good price. The place is a bit like a cafeteria and M & S could spend a few quid to make it more relaxed but it was nice.

Very helpful staff,good quality food.Especially there cake selection,and sandwiches.Plenty of seating 10 out of 10.

We called in to Marks and Spencer's cafe at Taunton on Friday 19th February 2016.We were impressed with the friendly helpful service and the tea and cakes we had were very good and reasonably priced.The tables were clean and also cleared promptly after customers left.
