We visited Market Hall to see The Enchanted Reef in the immersive fome with my 6 year old and 8 year old. We came from Exeter and were given such a warm welcome. The staff went above and beyond and were so extremely helpful. The cafe had a relaxed atmosphere and after a very wet and windy journey, this was lovely to arrive to. The dome experiance was great and i would highly recommend this to families. If you are looking for something different, this is a great experiance for grown ups and children.

I do like this place. Quiet, comfy, tranquil, friendly, peaceful, bright & spacious. The limited food is good, (when it's available) and they do serve the best Carrot & Coriander Soup. (Sadly, on 3 of our recent visits, they either had an electrical fault or been really busy so no food at 1.30pm - couldn't be helped I suppose.)

I came with my young grandsons to the dome to watch an immersive dinosaur experience. It was great, they loved it. Not very long but enough when you’re 3 and 4. Good value and great coffee for grandma afterwards!

We attended the immersive done, which is most definitely a must visit. It is different, educational, exciting and the bean bags were a super idea. We loved our experience here.

A superb experience and definitely worth a drive to Plymouth. We had lunch at the Royal William Yard which is only 5 minutes away from this. Lots of parking too. Market Hall, Plymouth. '15m diameter immersive dome – inspired by the dome at SAT in Montreal and the first of its kind in Europe, the space invites you to explore immersive realities, without the need for a VR headset, opening up a world of incredible creative and immersive experiences.' Lovely comfortable beanbags to sit on (loads of wheelchair space too) and they also offer special needs group bookings with sensory shows. We saw 'Antarctica' which was pitched perfectly for all of our three children. They show a variety of immersive films too with low admission prices. Highly recommended for something 'different' to do and appropriate for all needs, ages and abilities - ticks a lot of boxes plus there's a lovely cafe there.

Coaxed by friends into coming down for morning coffee and pastries and also to look into the impressively converted old market building now equipped with a huge ‘immersive dome’. Sadly we got the day wrong. The dome etc is only open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. From what we could see from the cafe and the promotional boards, we will be coming down here again to see all of that in a few days. As to the cafe it is a wide open space with two glazed sides and ample open tables which seem to be used by persons with business or activities elsewhere in the building or who have chosen to come in just for discussions or meetings. As well as those there were curious folk like us just looking the place over and presumably neighbours or whomever just using the cafe. At present, at breakfast time they had the full swathe of tea and coffees, soft drinks and pains au chocolate/raisin, croissants, toastier and crisps. Behind the counter there was a lot more state of the art kitchen and bar kit suggesting that for events or in the future the cafe could operate as a full blown bar/brasserie type place.

Visited here as heard great things and my son is colieac so we had the choice of gluten free pasta! We were welcomed with a rude young girl who just said your upstairs , so we took ourselves up there . No menus given or asked about dietary requirements, all very strange. The atmosphere was awful, felt awkward and unwelcoming with very weird and obnoxious music which my son said made him feel like he's in a 2014 YouTube fails montage . Great that they have gluten free pasta and pizza bases which is very rare to find . Food overall was mediocre, filled a gap but definitely nothing to rave about,Lacked flavour . !!

Have purchased from here several times - both the cake slices and celebration cakes. Most of the time the cakes are great - light and fluffy, but have been two occasions where the cake was too sweet and did not taste very fresh (seems more of an exception), but will still be purchasing nonetheless.

Second visit after such nice meals the first time, I chose the carbonara as I had this on the first visit and really enjoyed . This time it was completely tasteless. My wife and daughters meals were very salty and my granddaughter’s spaghetti bolognaise was nothing like a bolognaise with hard carrots and crunchy celery! My granddaughter has a severe food allergy and we are always worried about eating out but as we had eaten here before, and she hadn’t been poorly we were happy that she would be safe. There was nothing suitable for her in the starters section so she chose to have a dessert instead as part of the set meal. Half way through she alerted me to the fact that she had a small piece of plastic in her sorbet. I was a little bit horrified but didn’t say anything and thought,,, these things can happen. After a couple more spoonfuls and a larger piece of plastic I told the waiter and he took it off me and apologised saying it must have been from the sorbet container. No gesture of goodwill offered, not that we would necessarily have accepted but not good service and certainly WONT be going back!
