Mark Bennett Patisserie The Bakehouse in Poole

On the route of the bus tour. Loved the sandwich, new creation, Emmentaler cheese, and a ‘fancy’ ham. I loved it. Great cappuccino. Lovely bakery and a must-visit when you are in Poole.

Love MB the best bread around, however the usually lovely sausage rolls now appear to be made with a different sausage meat that tastes bland & cheap, please go back to the original

The most excellent bakery. Staff very welcoming and kind. The coffee and cakes were delicious. The bread truly amazing. Highly recommended.

Average coffee and you have to wait for ages. There’s nothing “artisan” in the bakery either. Just an overpriced average patisserie. My last visit.

I’ve seen some reviews saying it’s pricey and not that good because things sell out. Well I think that speaks for itself, If there pricy and still selling out it much be good. My personal experience of my many many visits (to many but it’s just so good) is that on occasion they do sell out of a particular thing. So same as everywhere then?? Is it value for money, YES, you get what you pay for. It’s amazing and what’s more they have not let their high standards slip over time. Which a lot of places do when they become as successful as MB’s has. To Mark well done but to the staff in all branches, ( yes I visited them all) I’ve never felt more welcomed and valued at any other business as much as I do when I visit you all.

For the past 12 weeks I’ve been a regular customer each week, buying a sourdough loaf for the weekend. I never had any issues until now. Today I arrived just after 9 to be told that the sourdough was sold out as other customers had already bought the entire stock. I was also told that the five seed sourdough and the 50/50 sourdough had both been discontinued so I shouldn’t ask for these. I was finally told that if I wanted a sourdough loaf then I should preorder and reserve it. Really?? I was a supporter and regular customer of PMB but this has been very offputting. I left empty handed.

Amazing cafe style food. Consistently delicious. Perfect for takeaway lunch. Savoury and sweet both wonderful. Highly recommend.

Short summer break with my family round the area, ratio quality/offer put things as overpriced, staff was quite decent to be fair. Overall would recommend.

I have had the misfortune of being unwell after eating here today. I'd had nothing else to eat and became unwell about an hour after leaving. The floors were quite grubby with food remnants. A dog who was with a customer kept retrieving scraps he found lying under tables. However the food behind the counter looked ok so I didn't expect to become ill. Disappointed as I had looked forward to my visit and it was pricey. Just hoping I recover quickly as its not nice.

Bacon sandwich terrible, bacon dry , hard , service great but really not nice, great coffee but bread and bacon not good , but staff great

We ordered two rolls a custard slice and two cappucinos, there was no price list or prices displayed anywhere so when the bill was presented for a whopping £26-00 I was flabbergasted, it is a mid range bakery, the rolls were fine, (nothing special) as were the coffee and cake, just as they would have been for half the price elsewhere, had we seen the prices before we ordered we would have avoided the place, beware, should you still want to venture to this expensive roll shop be sure to ask the price FIRST, or like us, you will fall to the dubious practice of presenting you with an extortionate bill AFTER ordering

Yesterday I collected my husbands birthday cake, a large salted caramel sponge with honeycomb! Also purchased a loaf of 50/50 sourdough! Everything in the shop is beautifully presented and looks mouth watering! Thank you again for the amazing cake! It's one of my husband's favourites! Also can't recommend the French sandwich enough! So much filling and toasted is the best! Thanks again MB 😍

My family and I always stop off here when we drive back home to London....it is simply delicious food!! We stock up on a loaf of bread, croissants for breakfast the next day Bd usually a dessert for that evening when we get home. My boys adore the flapjacks, I love the bagels, my husband loves the sausage rolls.. We wish you opened a store in north London!! Xxx

Mark Bennett’s use the best quality ingredients and everything is homemade and delicious. The wide selection of different sandwiches plus I love the vegan sausage rolls and at Christmas the festive pasty. I can just go on….

During lockdown last year , I discovered MB. I would buy the seeded bread and hot cross buns , which are so tasty. And now moved onto the sausage rolls which have so much flavour! So lucky to live near these stores!

This bakery has absolutely been a true gem in lockdown. After stumbling across it on a cycle, we can’t get enough of it! Everything is perfection (and I can safely say we have tried everything 😅). 200% recommend!!
