Popped in with my partner for some lunch and it was lovely, lovely atmosphere and brilliant food for the price

Certain foods are nice unfortunately the chips are normally sharp and over cooked. The Southern fried chicken is nice

If you like Haddock and chips, you won't be disappointed. Can't really comment on the rest of the menu.

chips were a 10/10 lovely crispy outside fluffy inside, fish was a -1, was anemic,batter was uncooked on inside and inedible

One of the best fish and chip shops in Tunbridge Wells! Fish cooked to order with amazing crispy batter together with lovely crispy chips, they also have other items like fried chicken and burgers as well as a kid's menu so there's something for everyone... Together with great service from all the staff, as well as great value for money this place is highly recommended!!!... 🐟🍟

HEALTH WARNING. My wife suffers from Coeliac Disease and was made very ill by Merino's supposedly gluten free fish and chips. The owner was extremely unsympathetic when informed.

Excellent fish and chips spot serving authentic British fish and chips. Love their onion rings and fish cakes as well. Always fast and speedy. The package is functional and clean. Very efficient and friendly staff. They have burgers and fried chicken for non seafood eaters. Highly recommended spot.

Probably the best Fish and Chips that I have had in 46 years of experience. I's originally from Folkestone on the coast so regularly had fish and chips dinners growing up. Cast iron solid, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The chicken nuggets are real pieces of chicken, really good as well. Being self employed I try to support them and myself with a Friday treat, maybe a little too often.

Not cheap but where is these days. Great chips and really good batter, very crispy even after drive home. Definitely reccomend.

!!!!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! The worst fish and chip shop I’ve ever came across!!! Fish was cooked fresh but tastes like it’s been hanging out in the back for a week! Disgusting! Chips have been repeatedly thrown back in the fryer. £10 for this box of sh*te is daylight robbery. How they get custom is beyond me, wish I could give this a -5 star rating!

Bought a cornish pasty which went straight from freezer to microwave. The result was slush encased in leather. The quality of both the pasty and the cooking method was poor. I cannot comment on the other offerings.

Needed somewhere safe for me to eat as a coeliac, chips cooked in separate fryer with nothing else battered so safe and had gluten free battered cod, was so good! Hasn't upset my stomach at all.

Honestly the worst chips ive ever had . Waited 10 mins for a portion of chips which cost me £4 😂 . It was both undercooked yet some parts were overcooked which means a fresh undercooked batch was added to a old stale one . It tasted like fish , ahh wasted my time and money coming here . Thank god i dont live close so it was a one off . Look at the picture ive put up , you can see how bad it looks .

3 Bad chip shops that I know of in Tunbridge Wells this is one of them 1 Camden Road and downtown fish bar by the compasses which has also been ruined by a foreigner.

We ordered fish & chips to pick up at a particular time. Arrived just a few minutes early and they were literally starting to cook it, so was completely fresh. All delicious including really crispy batter. We found the portions generous too.

Not impressed that I can't order by speaking to a human and have to order via website. Couldn't get what I wanted large cod and small chips and small cod small chips as it does allow mixing. Phoned and was immediately told to order via website. Customer service these days relies far too much on computers.

Terrible soggy chips, embarrassing a fish and chip shop could serve such soggy fodder. Fish was ok, nothing special quite a skinny piece of cod considering it was supposed to be large.

Paid nearly £14 via Deliveroo for a savaloy, fish cake and about 10 chips (a medium portion apparently). Really, really disappointed. Feel ripped off, never ordering from here again.

Really great fish(haddock) and chips both times, now I know I will be tempted again in the not too distant future. Chips are light and fluffy, freshly cooked, batter was crispy and just right. So happy I live locally and know a decent fish and chip shop.

The Absolute best fish and chips in Tunbridge wells. Also half pounder burgers are so good cooked to perfection. And amazing service and awesome staff. Always puts customer 1st.

Not a local however was passing through this area and stopped by for some food, unfortunately didn't enjoy at all, the fish was undercooked, could taste some rawness. Also the lady serving put way too much salt on the food which was overwhelming & spoilt the taste

After trying other places in this area Marino’s in High Brooms, not London Road, is by far the best. The service there is good too. Nice people. This post is showing the wrong address

Best fish and Chips. Not even joking. I've tasted fish and chips all around the world. I've taste dit multiple times in London but it's not as good as Marino's.Im not sure what they do yo make it so tasty but it's unbelievable. The location is very convent (next to the pantiles). You just need to try it.

This evening our family picked up a fish and chip meal including scampi. The scampi was covered with a half cooked mush of soft batter that had congealed together. The small paper bag that contained them had chips added on top, no doubt to hide the quality of the contents. The worst takeaway meal I have ever had!

Ordered food to be delivered at 6.30 was told 45-60 min. Food came 1 hour and 50 minutes later. The food that arrived was cold and frankly revolting. It's beyond me why this place gets high scores as I wouldn't feed the food that arrived to my dog. Whoever is the manager of this place should be ashamed of the cr*p that was sent out. In my humble opinion the worst fish and chips in Tunbridge Wells if not West Kent.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and the Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas I had was the very best I'd had in years. You could tell how fresh and well cooked the Cod was, Chips just right, crunchy, fluffy, tasty, and very nice Mushy Peas. Made me happy inside out. A real treat. Why did I wait so long...?? To the customer that ordered 2portions of seven fish fingers we asked u a number of times how many portions ur reply 2 are u sure yes 2 so just to let u know on the menu boards in front of u shows u fish fingers 7 kids fish fingers 4 we do not sell just 2fish fingers. And as for food positioning I don't think so maybe just a bug and just coincidence

Asked for two fish fingers and they made me pay for two portions, witch is 14 even though I told them it was for a three year old, and my wife got food poisoning there a few weeks back eating there chicken nuggets, and just let it go. but now i though I’ll say something after this. DONT EVER GO THERE!!!?

This is the only fish and chip shop that I know that delivers to your door he has three Marino's fish and chip shops in Tunbridge Wells and I rate all of them Merino I've been a chef for 25 years so I know when something is fresh and not marinos is fresh fish all the way good selection of fish as well

Loved Marinos since i was a child eating at the restaurant in Rye and when it opened in Tunbridge Wells i had to go there. Great fish whatever you choose, chips are chunky and just amazing and the people who work there are extremely friendly.

Scrummy! Would highly recommend. We had fish and chips, as well as spam fritter and scampi. All incredibly tasty and cooked to order

We placed an order and changed last minute to include another curry sauce, it was not delivered but when i called they made their way all the back here to deliver it. Huge thanks for the effort guys!

As far as I'm concerned, this place provides the best quality fish and chips in town. The problem I have is that they close at 10pm most days, and k often fancy a good fish n chips at around 3am.

Delivery arrived over an hour even when told it would be 30-45 mins. When arrived it was cold. That is twice from there so won't be having from the shop in Tunbridge wells anymore. Would rather travel to high brooms to get it at least it will be hot

Lovely fish n chips, has replaced my favourite chippy at the top of the hill (Downtown chippy) which has gone downhill with new owners. Haven't been disappointed yet! Sad I cant have a beer in the Compasses while i wait but hey The Duke of York does London Pride where Im sitting now waiting for my F&C'S on a Sunday evening. Cheers!

Staff and management always chirpy food nicely cooked clean food

I’ve not haddock a better fish and chips. Great service. About the only plaice in TW that shells gravy. The chap in there cod not give batter service and is great with my 3 year old daughter, giving her a few chips while we wait. On a couple of Sunday’s after 2pm I’ve trawled TW for an open chippy, this seems to be the only one open. I scampi straight down there now. I eel you can't get better value for a few squid.

Just went to walk in to the shop as a women walked in and a member of staff opened the door and changed the sign to 'open' the boss then shouted at the member of staff and told her to not open the shop yet! The customer that walked in before me came and shut the door in my face and changed the sign! They have lost a very loyal customer and I'll never return there! So rude and always have been

Chips are ok, but the fish is disgusting and that goes for the batter too.
