Royal Wells Hotel in Tunbridge Wells

It’s happened again. They have done it - again. I returned for the Friday evening tapas and jazz evening (if you’ve not witnessed this - you must, believe me - phenomenal) and not only was the value for money absolutely exquisite, but the service - top tier, the atmosphere - beyond me. Scarlet was not here this evening (for those who read my previous review) however as sad as this was, the night was made equally as glamorous and unique in its own right by our delightful waitress Sarah, who was nothing short of a shining star the entire evening. She was attentive and resilient with our many needs! She made the evening a joy, and for this reason - along with the many many others - we will OF COURSE be returning promptly - as demonstrated by the fact I was back this evening. Once again a 5 star review, I don’t think that will change any time soon! All the best - happy dining (staying!)

Perfect location just a 5 min walk to the Centre. Very clean room and comfy beds. The breakfast & food in the restaurant is very good and service in general is brilliant. All the staff are nice and professional. Probably the best fish & chips I had in my life......

This hotel is the best hotel in Tunbridge Wells. The staff are friendly welcoming and professional . The rooms and facilities are so stylish. The breakfast dining options and bar are all first rate .The position of the hotel opposite the Common is attractive with superb views over Royal Tunbridge Wells and a short walk into town . If in Tunbridge Wells this hotel is always my first choice .

Beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable with friendly staff. The room we stayed in was warm with a large comfortable bed, excellent bathroom with bath, shower and twin sink. Exceptionally clean. Breakfast was the best I'd had. I cant recommend this hotel enough, just a brilliant place to stay

We stayed in a Suite - room 6. Beautiful room, the copper bath a lovely touch. The living area was comfortable and really luxurious. The towels and robes need replacing they have frayed edges and are getting a little shabby. The hotel itself is stunning, such a nice building.

I took my elderly mum for a short break before Christmas.Staff were very kind and helpful, food great .Also the manager Amy while we were there , was really helpful too . Thankyou

On the whole a nice historic place. Food was good. Minor details missing, like practical info in the room about meal times (we came down too early for breakfastl, and no warning about dinner not available because of a party.

Incredible value for a business event, as lunch was included. There's some staining and damage in the room that we were in, but that was made up for with a lovely lunch and really friendly service

Yesterday was our second stay at this lovely hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff at this hotel are all lovely, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful, not a fan of the sausages or blackpudding, but very nice. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Nice hotel, great breakfast, large room with a view, great parking. The bathroom window cannot be opened, that's really the only negative point.

A delightful hotel with elements of the classic and contemporary, the old lift that takes longer than walking the stairs, the bold restaurant area with large lantern light ceiling, beds a bit soft for us and wonderful staff who could not be more helpful and charming. We enjoyed watching and listening to the nesting seabirds with chicks on a neighbouring chimney stack . Breakfast was really good too, even if the chef was running the kitchen solo.

Beautiful, a stunner from the outside. Everything was right inside too.
