Mariner Fish Bar in Enfield

Just received our order from Mariners. The food arrived fresh and hot 🔥. The chips were lovely and the coating on the cod fish was so crisp and full of flavoursome. Curry sauce great. I loved it. Will definitely order from them again.

Have been going here weekly since they have took over. I have to say it's the nicest fish I've ever had from a chip shop. Service is fabulous and the staff are really attentive. Definitely would recommend to everyone haven't been disappointed yet hope that they keep up the high standard that they've set.

This had been our chippy for years - and after not having had it for a while - we decided to get some fish and chips for our Friday treat. The chips that was wrapped up for us had clearly been sat there for a while. It was stale / chewy and not fresh. We threw most of it away. the photo shows it in the food waste bin. We ordered a spring roll too - for the veggie in the group, and the filling in that was not nice - you couldn't actually tell what was in it - not your usual filling in a veggie spring roll. The only thing that was ok was the cod. That is the only reason that this review is getting a rating of two. We won't return here.

Whilst looking for a meal, we saw this fish and chip shop with a lot of people waiting outside. Always a good sign! We both had cod and chips they were so fresh, coming straight out of the fryer and were still really hot after the 5 minute walk back to our hotel.

I regularly eat here and they cook in groundnut oil so the chips are really nice. Love the fried chicken and fish as well. Family run and always great service from the Mariner. Mike

Instead of lunchtime specials we get fish Dijon (2 orders of 5 pieces) and two medium chips. which feeds four of us. and only works out to £3 each. Only shame chips portions are tiny.

It’s a shame it’s the only Fish and Chips in Arnos Grove. The fish is small. The chips aren’t the best. If there was another place with better quality then this place would go bust.

Lovely fish and chips. Always fresh and cooked well. Really clean and friendly staff. Cannot recommend this place enough.

the fish always cooked to order for me and you get loads of chips mushy peas the best ive had and the price are good

Picked up the regular cod & chips on recommendation from neighborhood resident. The large piece of cod was hot and flavorful. The chips were cooked perfectly. This is a take away place with a flow of regular customers. The service was quick and helpful.

近くのB&Bの方に勧められて夕食を買いに行きました。私が壁のメニューを見ている間にも沢山の方が買っていかれ、ローカルの方 に愛されているお店なのだろうと感じました。私はタラを選び塩と酢をかけてもらいましたが、最初はその大きさにビックリ！　しかし、意外にも３分の２はペロリと平らげることができました。残りも冷蔵庫で保管して次の日に食べましたが、冷めていても柔らかくてとても美味しく感じました。

This is a good fish & chips shop. I have been going here for a decade as its my local and imo one of the best fish & chip shops around. It is located almost opposite Arnos Grove tube. The queues during peak times just shows how much of a gem this place is. Staff are extremely friendly & the shop is very clean. I think they take pride in cleanliness. There is a little bit of space to sit on long stools and eat in if you want. Fish & chips are of good quality & portions are a good size. Fish is fresh and batter Is just right, nice and crispy & more fish than batter. Chips are to die for. Food isn't oily or greasy and always hot when I have been. Food is reasonably priced for the quality you get. The lunchtime deal of fish & chips for £5 is a bargain. Sausage in batter is nice too. Pity they are closed on Sunday's, but as they tell me they need a rest too, thoroughly deserved as they all work hard. Service always comes with a smile

We were driving past and stopped off to get Fish&Chips. I really wished that we hadn't. The batter was over cooked, so hard and crunchy batter. It wasn't edible and had to eat just the fish. However, he gave me the tail end of the Cod, which there is hardly any Cod in it. Had I noticed he gave me the tail end, I would have stopped him. As for the chips, he was scraping the Chip container, and gave me all the scrappy bits, tiny bits of chips. Not only that, whilst he was serving me, he served the man behind me and gave him his order before mine! Food was totally rubbish, the batter was not edible. Waste of money. I wont be going here again.

Went on way home just fancied it wanted cod n chips but haddock was ready so went for that also had fish cake and a saveloy Saveloy nice not dried out fish cake ok chips good portion and nice the haddock was fabulous best I've had fish tasted fresh and full of flavour batter crisp and thin Well done I'm part owner in seafood restaurant and run seafood bar so I know what I'm talking about

Average food. Rude service. Could be due to inbreeding. Avoid. Not friendly. Never spend a penny again there.

Fabulous fish and chips. It's my local and the best. Hot fresh food everytime. It's been there for so many years so clearly doing something right!

This place has always been good, but the last two times we've tried to go it's been closed (mid evening on weeknights) with no sign or anything explaining why. I'm not sure if it's closed down permanently

He estado utilizando este lugar por años! Esta parte de Londres tiene muchos peces y lugares chip. Algunos de ellos muy famosos y tomar un montón de dinero. Algunos son también comer y mucho más "restaurante" Aquí hay algunos taburetes donde puedes comer.

Had fish and chips from here last week. Lovely and crispy batter, great chips. First time having fish and chips from here and I will definitely go back.

I was searching for a good fish & chip place near by for our office lunch and when I typed in "Arnos Grove fish chips" Mariners came up with good reviews. I called and asked the gentleman who answered the phone if they are also known as Arnos Grove Fish & Chips .. his reply was " darling I'm to busy to answer your question" Really!!!! I guess I will never know because I will never spend a penny in there. Customer Service at it's worse. Not encouraging new business with this attitude.

The best fish and chips we had in London. Close to our B&Bs and the people so friendly. More fish than batter which was great - although the batter was really nice. Huge portion of fish.

In a bit of backwater, a small range of shops, almost opposite Arnos Grove tube station, Mariner's serves the local community really well - they fry good quality, fresh fish and chips, and certainly amongst the best on the wider North London area. Very traditional cafe style fish and chip shop, but the service is friendly, cheerful and the queues at peak times gives the clue that locals know they have small gem in their midst.They deserve to be up there on Trip Advisor!

Its a good old chippy, nice to see as there are too many kebab and chicken shops about that dont do chip shop chips!Chips are to die for, staff are friendly

This is a traditional chippy, alas seems a dieing breed these days. So no kfc, pizza, keebabs just good old fish n chips. Would recommend.
