Marina Turkish Kitchen in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

What a great restaurant in the heart of Falmouth Cornwall. We've ordered a mixed grill from the menu and the meat was so tender and nicely marinated that it would melt in your mouth. One other thing was their homemade yogurt, which I have fallen in love with the unique taste as it reminds me of my childhood back home and my grandma's home-made yogurt. I'm going back there again to order some more of that amazing yogurt 😋 😍 👌🏼

Wonderful food, delightful staff, a cute restaurant and good background music. My wife and I chose Turkish food after looking at various options along the High Street and we were definitely not disappointed! We received a kind and enthusiastic welcome, without feeling any pressure to come in. On ordering with had two courses each. My first bite of my calamari really caught my attention as some of the nicest calamari I remember eating. The complimentary bread and dips was hot and yummy. Our mains were equally good - I had mixed sheesh which was full of flavour and tender. My wife had the salmon, which she loved. If we're back in Falmouth, we'll certainly make a beeline to return here.

My husband and I first visited this restaurant in 2023 and liked it so much we visited again in August 24. The staff are always welcoming, the portions are generous and the food is fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really inviting too. Definitely recommend it and hope to return again some day.

Went there yesterday with friends to eat as we open the door the waiter immediately told us it is fully book and shut the door. I find it rude because he didn't even check if we hve reservation or not but just close the door. So, as we walk I tried to ring their them to check if they have space for 4 people same time then they said by phone we can come now cause their is availability. I inform him about what had happen that we were actually just came from their place and the waiter was so rude to stick his head out and say all fully book. Waiter lied to us. Unfortunately because of this awful service we didn't come back , tried indian restaurant. Shame we use to eat there with my family. One restaurant to avoid.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is so delicious and is hands down the best Turkish food I've had outside of Turkey. The service was excellent and was great value for money. We left stuffed and take away boxes full of the left overs :)

We had such a lovely lunch yesterday, amazing food and wonderful service!

After being fully booked on our first visit, we were happy to find the next day that it was very quiet! All parts of the meal were fantastic, with great flavours and good fresh meat in all dishes. The complementary bread and accompaniments were so tasty, and a great little addition. I'd highly recommend the Sarma Chicken Beyti! Staff were friendly and attentive and the vibe was very chilled.

Had a lovely welcome this afternoon on arrival at the restaurant. My husband and I ordered cakik and the meat platter for two. We both thought the food was absolutely delicious. Plenty of meat and salad, rice, turkish bread and dips. Highly recommend. Thank you x

Rude, abrupt staff who act like they're doing you a favour when your in fact over paying for low rate food (which you could pick up for a 1/3 of the price from a takeaway). DONT GO WITH CHILDREN. How has this place got a 4 rating- beats me.

Fantastic staff so as atmosphere inside. We were very happy to be there. But the food was ok. Usually, Turkish cuisine is famous for its spices and smells. Instead, we got well-cooked meat that didn't have any taste or smell that reminded us of Turkey. Not the best Turkish food we have tasted. However, everything was prepared correctly.

Decided to have a dinner out with my friend and we decided to come here, the place did not disappoint! We got complementary appetisers which were tasty. When the mains came the plates were big and the food was so good! 10/10. The service is very good we didn’t have to wait long for anything. The staff are super polite. Definitely recommend to anyone in town.

We are Americans, not very familiar with Turkish cuisine, and we were delighted with this restaurant. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing.

Firstly the service was superb - very friendly and attentive, no waiting at all between courses. We had the hot meze to share and I had Lamb Guvec - both delicious, and no room for pudding, although we love baklava! Atmosphere was nice, slightly random choice of hotel lobby playlist ;-)

On my short stop in Falmouth, we came to the place 3-4 times, perhaps. The food is amazing, and they service is totally a 10 out of 5. The employee Canan made sure we felt comfortable and enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. We felt like we were home thanks to their warm welcoming 🧿 Will definitely come again once I'll come back to Cornwall.

Evening meal for two tonight was excellent. Shared the lamb shish and a mixed meze platter. The lamb was very tasty, ingredients were really fresh, great bread, and superb service. Highly recommended for a proper sit-down dinner! Thanks for looking after us on our trip to Falmouth.

They didn't give me a food receipt, and the transaction receipt has another restaurant's name on it (Cod on the corner)!

Good service and food is okay compared to other Turkish restaurants in Cornwall but the price is just silly!! Can of coke £3.50 ? Seriously? 6 or 7 chicken wings £17 😳 it's just shocking. Place like Falmouth I think food price is way too high

Cheerful staff, fast service, very clean and neat. Portions are very good compared to the prices. One of the best Turkish food I’ve had in the United Kingdom.

Very expensive for portion size. That said food was tasty, we left full, well attended to by the lovely Carlos. Had fun here. Range of cocktails to sample also. Would go again but would look out for pricing deals eg 2 4 1 cocktails.

Made a last minute decision to book her on our last evening in Cornwall. Wow the food was absolutely sublime. Reasonably priced, great staff and quick service but wasn't rushed out the door. Will definitely be returning.

Visited with family. Quite quiet when we went so not a lot of atmosphere. Service was good. Food was good, although, for the price quite small serving. Drinks expensive.

The staff are friendly but the place is super expensive. We paid £7.50 for half a pint of cider and it was Magners. I wouldn't be surprised if it came from the can. They added a service charge without telling us which I felt was a bit cheeky. We had 3 mixed grills which were £22 each which included 5 pieces of meat some plain rice and a side of salad. Overall I felt their prices were ridiculous and the service didn't warrant a 10% tip.

Excellent Turkish cuisine in the centre of falmouth every dish from starters to desert brilliant only one waiter on the night we visited he was rushed off his feet but he coped very well will definitely visit again when in falmouth and recommend to family and friends

Came here on a recommendation from a Falmouth resident and not disappointed. Made to feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door. Food was delicious and plentiful. Read an earlier review about how good the hummus was and it turned out to be the best we’ve ever had! Would highly recommend this restaurant. We’ve eaten at many Turkish restaurants and this one is up there!

Authentic Turkish cuisine, music and staff. Clean and nicely presented. Friendly efficient staff. Delicious generous portioned food, a good selection it was difficult to choose. Complimentry warm pitta bread and dips. Our Food arrived hot and fairly quickly, although not rushed. Although it's on the ground floor and easy to access, the toilets are located up a few steps.

The sarma beyti is absolutely wonderful! Really authentic and delicious Turkish food! Great service and friendly staff. We will be going back here many more times in the future! Would highly recommend as a dinner spot if you are on holiday in Cornwall. Excellent location on the Falmouth High street!

Can’t be bothered to explain my awful experience, so in short…..ordered a prawn dish, no check back…..a lot of shells were empty, so I complained, at the counter, when they asked if everything was ok……they took my meal off my bill, then quietly told me I was barred and never to go back!!! I’ve never felt so humiliated or shocked!!

Fancied something different to a burger, so decided to try out Marina. Very pleased we did, food and service were great. The Lamb Guvec was possibly the nicest dish I've ever eaten anywhere, just fantastic tender lamb and deep, delicious taste. Congratulations to the chef - everyone else go and try it!

Great food, authentic Turkish , big portions! Everything was fresh! Amazing cocktails and turkish beer! Older waiter made us feel welcome and whole atmosphere was like we are abroad.👌

Authentic Turkish cuisine for sure! The slow cooked lamb was so tender and the lamb shish was cooked to perfection! We also had the homemade Turkish lemonade, which was a beautiful option for non-drinkers who are not keen on the excessively sugary j2os! speaking of sugar - the baklava was 11/10 ❤️ I’m definitely going back! Oh and the staff and atmosphere were just lovely 😊

Absolutely superb. Went New Years Day. The food was pretty perfect!! Kebabs, liver starters...the list is endless!! Service was exceptional. We cannot recommend enough.

Ordered vegetarian kebap and got a few oily, hardly cut vegetables and some bread on the side. Not sure whether this is mainly a place for meat given the positive reviews, but I was really disappointed.

Marina Turkish Kitchen was the perfect place to eat out After spending the day taking in the beautiful Falmouth scenery. We ordered 2 Sharing platers for two for 3 adults and 2 children The meat was perfectly cooked and the moctails were delicious I highly recommend the Turkish delight Moctail. A lovely place to out. I loved the decor and background ambiance and staff were so friendly very welcoming.

Could describe this in few words,that have never tasted so juicy and well cooked lamb chops. Service is precisely very quick and food is optimal with good sized portions and not to mention the fresh baked bread which they serve complimentary with few sauces . I love olives and they serve one of the best brown black ones . I will surely visit them again . Staff are so warmly welcoming and that adds to the beauty of this excellent Turkish Kitchen..

We visited recently during an impromptu visit to Falmouth. Eating out for us is a real treat so we don't do it often (especially in the current cost of living crisis) so we were looking forward to it, particularly after seeing the "glowing" reviews. Unfortunately, although the ambience of the restaurant was nice, we were very disappointed by the food (expensive, overcooked, bland lamb kofte and microwaveable rice). We won't be visiting again.

What an amazing meal! We have been looking for a Turkish restaurant for ages that would suit my Turkish partners taste and we found it! The meal and service were amazing and well worth the travel! Will recommend to everyone and we can’t wait to visit again!

What a find. The food and services were excellent. Staff friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a lovely feel to it. We had the sharing platter for two which we both through enjoyed and thought it was value for money. I would highly recommend. Will be back later in the week.

Ate there at the end of September. We were in Falmouth and looked for lunch. We found Marina on themain street. It looked clean and pleasant, so we went . We were served by Adil, very friendly and helpful and ordered Borek, fried liver and humus to start and then an Adana and chicken shish atop aubergine fir mains. Food was all excellent, particularly the liver. We will go there again.

We decided with my partner and friend that we`d fancy some Turkish flavors for Saturday evening, and I have to say that we got really impressed by Marina Turkish Kitchen. We had been served in a friendly and professional manner by Adil, thus the choosing of the meals with the assorted bottle of fine drink turn into a culinary adventure. The food was fresh, exceptional and plentiful. Looking forward to be back ! Thank you Adil, thank you all!!!
