Marina Fish Bar and best Kebab in town in Maidstone

Don't waste your time ordering from these, had an issue with an order where JustEat changed address, they claimed they delivered the order but cameras on the property show the driver took it back to the restaurant. But yet they say the 'Delivered it' so happy to take your money and not return it, thieves!

Generous portions. Chips were lovely. Cod had lovely crisp batter. I made an mistake on my order and they dealt with it efficiently.

I'm a regular at this place and now for the 3rd time the chips have been scraped from bottom of the barrel they was dry tasteless and was hard. The price I have to pay I expect the food to be hot and tastefull. This is not on I'll be going back tomorrow to ask why

I ordered a large chicken meat & chips with burger sauce and what I get is a small meat & chips with no sauce.

overall it was good, lamb shish meat was very hard and tough to eat unfortunately. Apart from that brilliant as always. Doner meat and chips was very good for the cost plenty of meat and decent portion of chips too.

Food hasn’t turned up, had to order else where, i want my money back as it was over £51 worth of food!!

Forgot items asked to send a new order. only sent what was missing a hour later so everything else was cold. When I rang they said was sending a new WHOLE order.

The taste of the food is good but 9 times out of 10 it is almost cold on delivery.

I used to order from here long before just eat and the like. I've been searching for places that do sauces for kebabs right ever since. Bought back memories. Pleased to have re-discovered Marina.

Never again Cold cod, hard batter (last nights maybe)? Little pot of mushy peas total £16.80.....and I've left 3/4 of the fish, hardly any peas. Perhaps I should have thrown my money In my waste bin :(

You will not get a bigger, cheaper bit of haddock around (£8 and the size of a house...they even threw in some complimentary chips too and let me stay 'til closing

These boys never fail me, I ask for things in different pots, OCD. And they do it no bother. Hot, freshly cooked, I love them, their food, everything.

Looking for a Chip shop that was open late Following a Tony Hadley concert in Mote Park Maidstone, googled and found Marina Fish Bar was open till midnight, all other chippys were shut, parking was easy, found stag very friendly and helpful, servis was great, food, Chips were cooked to perfection, price was as expected not to expensive chips were £2.50 for a very generous small portion easily feed 2-3 people. Thank you Marina Fish Bar.

My order was Donner kebab and cod and chips. Meat was hard and the taste was not nice. Cod must have been cooked for a while. Tasted over cooked. Also had kids meal Donner meat and chips , was not edible. We threw it all in the bin waste of money £30 in the dustbin. We have had take away many times before and has always been good. Think I will try somewhere else next time, don't won't to waste my money on inedible rubbish food.

I have used their home delivery service for a while now, at times their food has been very good but after this evenings delivery my wife and I have decided we won't be going back - food was awful, dry chips which were no doubt from lunch time or even last night's reheated, rock hard batter on the mushrooms and the batter on the sausages was like rubber. It all went in he bin, not fit for eating and £20.00 wasted. Poor show. 2023, Now a lot better especially fish.

Had meat and chips with my partner from there. We both got very very sick. It was the first meal of the day for both of us too, so there was definitely something wrong with the food.

Ordered a delivery yesterday, they sent the wrong item. I contacted them and they said to keep the wrong item and that the replacement will be on its way. Once received, the food was cold, chips oozed with oil and the doner meat was dry.

Ordered a kebab and chips for delivery. It came and the chips were pure white and now my cousins in hospital with food poisoning would not recommend

I went at 1.15 today. I was the only customer. I ordered 3 pieces of fish and 2 portions of chips. I was asked to sit and wait while they cooked it. At 1.50 I was told it was ready, only to find they had forgotten one of the fish. They said it would only take 5 minutes to cook so why did it take so long before. I eventually got all the food at 2pm. I will not be going back.

Quality of food has degraded, appearance of staff was poor (dirty clothing) and size of pita bread is a lot smaller.

Absolutely disappointing food. The meat was chewy and didn't even taste like lamb the salad was ok but the pitta bread wasn't cooked it was dry and horrible had to grill it myself to get the crispy effect. Won't be ordering from here again 😒

I'm really not one to complain but honestly that was a joke I got large cod and chips and just honestly a total disaster the chips were so so soggy they were all stuck together and the oil was just flooding and honestly that cod is an insult to fish like it it was grey and the batter was chewwy just never again I feel guilty haha

I live across from a well know chip shop and would much rather come to Marina its food is amazing normally the only takeaway we order from we have tried most things on its menu and have no complaints at all the are very friendly as well

disgusted - used delivery service, they never even knocked on the door - so food never arrived.. ...Marinos signed up to the delivery partner but wash their hands of it when food doesnt arrive. Will never use this place again terrible customer service

Took my money then told me 15 minutes drive was too far for delivery, now I have to wait for five days to get my money back.

Order two LARGE kebabs cost me £20. When they came to me and my partner they was so tiny we thought it was two smalls. More salad than meat and hardly any meat at all. We was so shocked we rung the restaurant to make sure there was no mistake. They just laughed and told us it was their new menu and didn't even sort this situation for us.

My other half and I decided to get a kebab before everywhere is closed and what a DISAPPOINTMENT! basically got charged £20 for a pita bread and salad with the most stingy amount of meat I've ever seen. absolutely disgusting prices for what you get. big prices for such small portions. If you're hungry, youd get more in a small portion elsewhere.

Food on time for once but all meals were cold. Donar meat was mostly dried up ,no salad and cold. Fish was just warm but soggy chips didn't look fresh cook and cold. Very disappointed.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Ordered through Just Eat. Delivery driver was unable to find out address (it's a new build, I don't blame them), so called to ask for directions. I gave clear directions both over the phone and by text message. Eventually called the restaurant to ask where the order was, only to be told the delivery driver had finished for the day and gone home and I would need to contact Just Eat for a refund. Marina are now refusing to refund the order, despite not delivering the goods paid for. Avoid at all costs.

Have always liked this place and have been coming here for years. Particularly love the kebab wraps and the burgers are done pretty well also. Respectful portion sizes, reasonable prices, they seem to have a lot of internet orders come through and that's understandable seeing as they are on a main road and don't have any facilities for parking. Quite a large amount of housing is now going up directly opposite so expect this place to get rather busy in the not too distant future

Not impressed. First time we used this take away. The food arrived 25 minutes late. The delivery driver was as miserable as sin. The food was cold. The lamb shish was very chewy. Won’t be using this place again and will not be recommending it to anyone.

Awful food; everything is greasy, the quality of food is poor and you can tell what you're eating has probably been sitting around for an hour or two being kept warm. The owner and staff are SO miserable. Would rather give my money to someone else.

I have been ordering from here for over 10 years and not once has the standard of service ever dropped. I both order in the shop and get delivery at times and in both occasions, I get my food at excellent quality at very fast time. I have tried alternative take-aways at times but have always come back to these guys as the competition simply is not good enough. I would also like to note that the guys inside are excellent, they treat you with respect and dignity and know how a customer should be treated. I have never had a complaint, but they continuously ask me if I’m happy with the service as part of their quality assurance process. If you’re from Maidstone and never tried their food, you are missing out big time! Would recommend to anyone who wants a decent Fish or Kebab! I’ll be ordering tomorrow!

If I could leave 0 stars I would! Food didn't turn up. Phoned the shop after 15 mins late to be told if was leaving then so fair enough waited another 15 mins even know the shop is a 5 min drive from my house it still hasn't left the man on the phone was very rude to me. so waited 10 mins and phoned just eat they phoned the shop and was told 5 mins still didn't turn up so cancelled the order for then 10 mins later for them to knock at my door with the order even tho I cancelled it. Last few times have ordered from here the food has been going down hill I will not give them another chance. AVOID AT ALL COST!!

Probably the best fish and chips in Maidstone. Portions are generous and prices are competitive. They offer a fantastic range and are, for the most part, quick to serve you. You can see the kitchen is very clean, as are the staff. Friendly atmosphere and room to eat in, if that's your thing.

After waiting an hour for our food we ring up to find out where it is to be told it's not even being delivered yet and then being told to f*** off by the person who answered the phone. Absolutely disgusting. Good job we didn't pay card for it as I doubt we'd have got our money back.

Placed an order about 2 hours ago food still hasn't arrived was told it was on its way 40 mins ago and now they won't answer the phone and still no food 👍

Tried ordering thru just eat but my card got declined so I phoned and asked them to try as it was a new card however they said they would try it for me in case it was the just eat app and give me a call once they have tried it .... an hour later after thinking it has gone thru ok I get a phone call saying its not worked ... thanks a lot only been waiting an hour for nothing... poor service

Do not eat here, I have a meat and chips last night and it was disgusting, preheated, left over meat. the staff was bloody miserable too.
