Quite a lot of negative comments on here, esp by people with gift vouchers, so was a bit nervous about going. However, we went yesterday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Had £65 from Buyagift which covered 2 cocktails, 2 starters, 2 mains (limited selection) and 2 puds, and although we did pay for a few extras which were a bit ridiculously overpriced, the food was very good and the service excellent. As long as you know you'll be charged heavilly for water, bread and coffees then you can make that choice. Just read what IS included, in your gift voucher first, so you know what to expect. Simples!

An insult to White's legacy and customers. Defrosted steaks as 30£+ signature dishes, parsley instead of tarragon in a store bought hollandaise sold as bearnaise and once you confront the staff with the parsley they are shocked to have to inform you they ran out of tarragon yesterday disrespecting all the bearnaise loving customers. I refuse to believe chef Marco's aware of any of this. The supposed highlight of our trip, a true kitchen nightmare. Compared to his former London steak Co. this was dismal at best, leaving us absolutely gutted.

We enjoyed a 5-star meal at a 4-star hotel! We dined early so it wasn’t too busy. We were seated promptly by solicitous and friendly host. It was a Saturday evening and the staff advised that Starters and multi-course dinners are not served on weekends. We were fine with that. We asked for bottled water and my wife had a glass of wine and both were served quickly. I ordered the Fillet Steak Au Poivre and she had Ribeye steak. We added sides of green salad, onion rings and Gratin Dauphinoise. WAY too much food , but those were items we wanted to sample. The food was delivered in a matter of minutes… and it was all perfectly delicious. The Fillet was melt in your mouth tender and likewise the Ribeye. The green salad overflowing the bowl, the onion rings were amazing and the Gratin Dauphinoise was exactly what we had in mind. We highly recommend.

We went for dinner using a voucher that was given to us as a gift, but ended up spending more than we usually would for a meal out! The food is good, but the booking fee, service charge & cover are just disgraceful. Were overcharged for sides and then got this money back as a 'goodwill payment'. Would not go back even if we were offered a free meal! https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186338-d9603131-r965887691-Marco_Pierre_White_Steakhouse_Bar_Grill-London_England.html#

Our son bought us a groupon voucher for a meal here and then view from the shard, approx 20 minute walk away. Our food was very nice, I had soup and my husband had prawn cocktail which was £2 extra. We both had a main of chicken and then sticky toffee pudding. A cocktail each was included. We were sat in the top part of the restaurant where I think all the diners had vouchers and our waiter Oveen, was excellent in how he looked after the whole area. All our meals were hot, except the prawn cocktail! And served visually appealing, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would recommend the groupon experience

Went here for my son’s graduation meal and wanted something special after him working hard for 5 years. I felt very disappointed we sat down ordered sourdough bread and another couple sat down after us and got theirs first and there main by time we got our sourdough bread. They forgot my side and by time we could get a member of staff to ask where it was I had eaten my meal without it. Was made to feel unwelcome there. I’ve emailed restaurant to let them know of visit and they clearly don’t care no reply at all. All they kept asking was do we have a voucher and I said in the end no I’m paying full price after I kept saying no when they asked, if I had a voucher would they’ve given better service. I’d never go back there I’d go to the one in Leicester Square they’re more friendly and food is 100% better

Having read the reviews we were apprehensive of going to eat here, so glad we did not believe all the reviews, from the moment we entered we felt special. This was a Red Letter experience, three courses with cocktail, the waitress who was so nice gave us the choice of an alterative drink so I had a pint and my partner a glass of wine, we had Goat cheeses and beetroot salad and I had the onion soup with crouton, for mains I had the steak, and the other meal was the fish and Chips, then we both had Blue berry Cheesecake and both the waiter and waitress who served us on the evening are a credit too the establishment

Before I give the details I am an 86 year old male and an experienced diner. When I was employed I was a frequent diner, now I am retired I dine less frequently. In my life I have never had to write a restaurant review like this. My wife and I arrived and were immediately shown to our table and after a respectable amount of time a server asked if we were ready to order to which we replied please give us a couple of minutes. Ten minutes later no server came again to our table yet the severs were walking around the rather empty dining area totally ignoring us, I had to gain the attention of one of the servers. The meal: we both ordered smoked salmon for the starter which was very good except the lemon was so hard to squeeze to get any juice from it. My wife ordered the Caesar salad, well that’s what it was called. 99% third rate lettuce, better ones can be purchased from Tesco. There were about two anchovies cut into smaller pieces, half an egg and a lot of inedible croutons; these croutons were not only vile they were almost impossible to eat because they so tough, how the kitchen managed to achieve that is beyond me. For the main course I selected the gnocchi which was passable. For dessert I chose cheesecake which was nice but this restaurant didn’t know about cutlery requirements so no fork was provided with the spoon until I asked for one. How they expected me to get pieces of cheesecake onto my spoon without a fork I beyond me. The ambiance was cold, mail because it was 2/3 empty, I wonder why. This was the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Lunch today was ok. Great service, cannot be faulted. The food however was mediocre. We had the excellently priced 5 course tasting menu. Courses 1 and 2 were merely canapés. Course 3 was a choice of mackerel or ham hock. Both were nice, far from special. Main course was fish cake or beef Bourguignon, my Husband had the fish cake which he enjoyed. I opted for an upgrade to Tornados Rossini. The beef was good quality and well cooked but it was about the poorest Tornados Rossini I have ever had and it is my favourite steak dish. Puddings were tasty and a good size for a lunch. We added cheese and port. Overall we enjoyed it but would we return - definitely not. The food did not match the excellent service. We had a good table and I enjoyed the people watching whilst sipping lovely wine!!!

I was at your restaurant today with the experience voucher set menu 3 course meal with bubbles for two. We was so looking forward to the meal. When we arrived we was shown to our table promptly but then all went down hill. I found the experience very disappointing due to everyone with these vouchers made to fit in a room so small so all the tables were within 2ft of each other giving no privacy to enjoy our meals aswell the feeling of all 2nd class people piled into one room away from the best parts of the restaurant not able to enjoy the beautiful rest of the restaurant. When the meal arrived I was given the nachos I ordered to be given a dry bowl of nachos with a tiny amount of guacamole and cream cheese and the tiniest bit of cheese sauce I then had the chicken pasta dish which was very bland and very watery. We waited over 20 mins for the 3rd course to come out to which had been sat under heat so all our ice cream had melted then had to wait for another. In all our experience of this was very disappointing and I hope you take these events into account as we was not the only people dinning feeling like this. Very disappointing.

Marco Pierre White sold out. The girl, Jade, serving was friendly but a little green. The space, its in a double tree so not a great start and the restaurant looks like any other in any economy hotel chain. Then there's the food, not sure anything was made on site, the onion soup was OK but gradually in the bottom suggest its not 'homemade', the steak was no better than you'd buy at Aldi and the cheesecake, definitely frozen, prepared off site, it was grainy and flavourless, much like the whole experience.

Wish we had read reviews before going. The staff were great, we got there an hour early and they were cool. However, the food was awful. We both had the ribs to start which were OK, but then they bought out my steak and my husbands burger and it all went downhill. My steak which I asked for medium was still mooing and was so rubbery and chewy I didn't eat it, and my husbands burger was so smothered in bbq sauce he didn't know there was a burger in there. Needless to say didn't even bother with dessert. Luckily as we had expressed how unhappy we were they didn't charge the 11 quid supplement for the steak. Will never return and will be we recommend!

This was our first time at a MPW (last) we arrived at were asked to wait in the very busy chaotic corner near the toilets. The accessible toilet was permanently closed, having visited the ladies toilets I found it disgraceful, filthy and in very very poor condition (tiles falling off the walls, no door handle inside the cubicles, the tap was caked in filth, the blow dryer was cold and the whole area was unclean) having been finally shown to our table we then waited 40mins for our order to be taken. The main course arrived after 1 hour and 20 minutes from being seated, not due to low staff levels as there were plenty of staff pottering around. Menu. 1. The inclusive cocktails were pre made and very small full of Ice. 2. The limited selection of choices was very basic, with no V options. The main meals were exclusive of any sides, such as potatoes or vegetables. 3. Side orders were at £7.50 per tiny portion. 4. Dessert! This again was basic choice with no fresh fruit or cheese option. The chosen treacle tart reminded us of school dinners in the 1970’s again no options other then a blob of clotted warm cream. The service!!! Well sarcasm and obnoxious won here, bowled over by the waitress who, when we mentioned how long we had been waiting for our foods to arrive said “ I will get you a coffee if it makes you smile” unfortunately this coffee was cold and burnt to taste. Again sarcasm about the prior comments from us about having to wait so long, she answered “ this is not our usual service” but clearly it was because all around us were people complaining and querying their bills and removing the 12.5% discretionary service charge!!! Which was automatically included (see tiny tiny small print on menu) unless you specifically asked to remove it in which case you had to wait even longer for a new bill, oh and don’t expect a receipt because an up market restaurant like MPW doesn’t have a printer. If you are thinking of booking this restaurant as a surprise or a treat then go elsewhere, and please look at your bill if you do dine there.

I gave this restaurant the benefit of the doubt after reading so many negative reviews but unfortunately I walked away thinking how on earth could Marco Pierre White put his name to such awful food, young miserable and inexperienced staff who patronise you if you mention about the quality of the food. I was actually told to cut my steak a certain way when my burnt piece of Rump turned up and was as tough as old boots. This was my 1st wedding anniversary which was totally ruined by my first and last experience at Marcos!

Where do I start, looking forward to enjoying a Xmas present from my daughter, arrived, seated, free cocktail part of the 3 course meal voucher, should have read 3 item meal voucher, water offered half a glass each, starters soup for my girlfriend “no bread” unless you purchased it for £7.50 I had kipper pate was ok nothing special as described. Steak for main and yes only steak unless I purchased a side of something, ordered mash potato a spoonful for £7.50, boeuf bourguignon for my girlfriend ok once again. Puddings as described, kids portions would be over selling it. Overall experience awful, felt like they couldn’t get you out of there quick enough unless you fell into the “extras trap” which we soon wised up to. Then the bill 🤣🤣🤣 £2 for allowing us to use there table cover, it has to be washed so we were told 😂 then the £7.50 charge for a bottle of water, we didn’t recurve a bottle but had half a glass each served to us, then the £8 service charge 12.5% lol the argument with the manager started and ended with me paying £7.59 for the spoonful of mash. An absolute joke of an establishment, a complete con from start to finish, the manager was a rude little man who would last 1 round with a 5 year old. They should be ashamed of themselves sitting behind the “Marco Pierre white” name and he should be ashamed for putting it there. Don’t let anyone buy the voucher, it should be advertised as “come to our restaurant and laugh all night until you receive the bill” as we have the last laugh, bunch of crooks.

We had a gift voucher for a three course meal with a cocktail. Upon arrival , the waitress didn’t notice for a couple of minutes we were waiting to be seated even though she was stood at the computer. Once seated, it seemed to be going okay but we were surprised there was only one steak dish on the menu for a steakhouse. We ordered a mojito for our cocktail but when it arrived, it needed a good stir and didn’t really taste like a mojito at all (it tasted like rum and water). The starters weren’t too bad , we had the calamari and smoked salmon and the sauce that came with the calamari was the best part of our three course meal. The salmon came with some bread which was smothered in butter and honestly the bread look like it had just been bought from your local Tesco. For mains, we both had the rump steak medium rare but one of our steaks was almost blue. The steaks were also tough as old boots and my jaw started to hurt halfway through. The chips were definitely cooked from frozen and over salted and the tomatoes on top of the steak added nothing to the dish. Disappointed with the main event, we had hoped that maybe dessert could pull it back for us - how wrong we were about this. After waiting 25 minutes for our mains to be cleared (we almost left), we ordered two sticky toffee puddings. What a disaster of a pudding, tasted worse than the pre made ones you get in the supermarket. It had clearly been microwaved and was so claggy with zero taste and the same can be said for the sorry ice cream served with it. They were also served on these weird plates that were impossible to eat off , we only ate half each and left it. The service was not great either, one guy was running around like a headless chicken whilst the others were gossiping. To add to our woes, there was a large group in the restaurant who had one guy making speeches and clapping at his own jokes and then the table next to us had their phone on loudspeaker having a conversation and no one batted an eye lid. It was honestly like something out of a comedy sketch but we were the butt of the joke. Would not come back here again and now have been put off going to any other MPW restaurants.

Charged for a tablecloth!!! My husband and I dined here on a Virgin Experience Days voucher paid for by our kids along with a theatre experience. Lovely we thought but didn’t expect to have to pay for many hidden extras. When we booked we had to pay £10 EACH to secure our booking which is a cheek as if we didn’t turn up they’d have still got the voucher money!!! Also It was a three course meal and cocktail voucher but bear in mind it’s a steakhouse, the only steak on our menu came with a sauce and nothing else so we had to pay £7.50 EACH for chips to accompany our steak, so no veg either just steak and chips and our waiter gave my husband my medium and me his well done and my husband was halfway through my steak before I started and realised I had his well done steak so that left me with half a steak! It was nice but I’ve had better! Then we waited so long for desert that we actually left our seats to go find someone to find us a dessert menu, only to be given the wrong one!! The head waiter was a misery and clearly looked it. Anyway to the bill which came and was around £28, I wasn’t expecting that so asked the head waiter to explain the £2 cover charge which was apparently for linen so we were charged for having a tablecloth!!!! I would have happily eaten without it, bear in mind it had cost me £20 just to book, and then they added a service charge for the total of the bill including a voucher so a prepaid for meal ending up costing me £48 in extras! The service wasn’t even worth tipping, we had several different waiters and best in mind our steaks were the wrong way round!!! I’ve had better meals in flashier places for far less!! So my advise, BEWARE ALL THE HIDDEN EXTRAS!!!

We had been here some 6 years ago and only realised on arrival it was the same venue in which we had had a poor experience previously. The salmon and beetroot were obviously stock plates made up in advance and placed in the fridge based on the stale blini and cold temperatures of the food. Hard to get basic courses wrong when simple one ingredient items are put on a plate. The ham hock and pate were again nothing to write home about. Pate was not quite pate texture and more like a fishcake texture and potato flavour. Our mains, beef bourginon was the nicest course. Small in portion but tender meat and creamy potato. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding and again, pretty generic, nothing to set it apart from any other basic pudding. I would rather go to a decent gastro pub for what we paid. Staff did not know their booze and only swheepps tonic available. Trying to be upper market but doesn't deliver in any shape or form.

I treated my partner to a Valentine's Day meal and it was fabulous. I had booked via Virgin Experience and it was very easy to convert the Virgin code into a full booking prior to the meal. The deal was a cocktail and a 5 course meal, with extra payment for various options. We stuck to the basic menu as we both like Bœuf Bourguignon and it was delicious, as was the whole meal. The service was perfect with special thanks to Kamil who was THE perfect waiter, even though it was only his 6th day on the job (which I learned after telling the supervisor how good he was). I very rarely write reviews but feel compelled to share because we had such a wonderful birthday here. We went for Sunday lunch 4th Feb, all staff were super friendly, kind and attentive. We chose our own table and were not put in the cheap seats area as other reviews mention. There was plenty on the set menu, not to have to order extras. If you go for a steak you will need to buy sides but my partner said the steak was 5 star so worth it. I am vegetarian and there was plenty on the set menu for me as there are 3 courses. There were also options with extra supplements of varying prices so I guess it is nice to have the option. The cocktails were also made in house and 5 star. Thanks for a lovely birthday treat

The 3 course set menu is a tourist trap. Lots of hidden charges- cover charge, supplements on seafood appetisers, steaks and all sides. There was even a supplement on the sea bass which wasn't marked on the menu. The rump was quite stringy and low quality. Considering this is a steakhouse, you'd assume the the steak ought to be their specialty. The side of mash was tasty, so was the sweet potato soup and sticky toffee pudding. The spinach and grilled/ baked potato that came with the sea bass were old. The waiter got us a new order which was much better. Wouldn't go there again.

I'm only writing this to let other diners know, if they have a choice of where to book a table, don't book this place. It's nothing like Marco Pierre's other restaurants and genuinely one of the worst meals we've ever had. Really poor service, staff seemed not to be trained or know what they were doing. We were made to wait at the bar for almost 45 minutes as our booking wasn't until 6pm, even thought there were lots of empty tables. The food was mediocre at best. We asked three times for water and never got any. Final insult was a hair (not from someones head) in our pudding after we'd already complained. I think this restaurant makes most of its income from featuring as a gift on Virgin red letter days.

The Steak Au Poivre was the best steak I've had. No lie. After our first bite, my colleague looked at me and said "Sometimes, you get what you pay for." That sums it up. And at £33 actually not expensive for filet mignon. Service was also attentive and professional. Would definitely go back

Ate here with friends as we're staying in the hotel. Scotch egg was tasty and cooked perfectly. Fillet steak with the garlic & mushroom was just ok. I was expecting more from the Marco Pierre White connection, but I'm guessing it's just one of many of his restaurants in the UK.

I rarely if ever leave a review. However I have to say it but it this is way too was overpriced for what you get. The food was good but not worth the overall cost. Eatting here we had x2 starters, x2 12oz steaks, x2 fries, x2 glasses of wine and a beer total cost £150. It's very basic for what you get and over inflated price. The service is good but you feel as though you are on a conveyor belt they just want you in to eat, then to go. Must say not what I was expecting very disappointed to be honest. I would just say your money can go way further else where. You could eat at a standard steak hose order the most expensive steak on the menu and you'll probably pay less

Arrived at the Restaurant at 5.30 so being the first wasn't many people.. Drink order, starter and main course taken and asked would we like some bread to start..all good so far.. waited a while and bread served with the starters which is bizzare..my friend goats cheese and beetroot was good..my prawn cocktail was overpowered by the ratio of ketchup to mayo and far too vinagery..The prawns had a texture like they weren't defrosted naturally...Mains arrived my steak was cooked good but the the dressing on the side salad was far too acidic. And I couldn't enjoy it..my friend had fish and chips..The fish looked like it had been totally overcooked the batter was very dark so my friend left half of it.. When asked whilst the server cleared the plate's I pointed out what I have just described..No apologies and no refund on the bill..I was shocked that a very famous chef could allow his name to be used in such a below par standard.. I have been in hospitality for 45 years and for such a quiet time my expectations were well and truly quashed and spoilt a lovely day..

My wife and I were really looking forward to our first meal at a Marco Pierre White Steakhouse. We had 2 friends who decided to join us. However, it was a real let down. At a steakhouse, particularly one branded with a celebrity chef's name, you expect great meat. The steaks we had were not good, and neither was the cooking. They were tough and gristly. We had starters as well, which did not live up to the restaurant's MPW branding either. We complained, and got a discount, but that does not make up for a night out being spoilt. From MPW's point of view, I hope our experience means the restaurant is simply using his name to attract customers, with no personal involvement in designing the menu, selecting the meat, or training the kitchen staff or front of house.

Bought as part of a buyagift voucher deal. Voucher was £65 for 3 course meal for 2. The menu for voucher users was very limited and nearly everything has a supplement. Prawn cocktail had £2 supplement. We had rump steak for main but that was all that was included, we had to pay £6.50 for every side which were very small portions. The cocktail that was included was nice but very small. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert tasted burnt. £6.50 for a 330ml of perroni. Also the voucher diners are separated from the full price diners with a big curtain which makes you feel like second class citizens. There was a £1 each cover charge just for being there. Overall cost was £116 including 12.5% service charge. To be honest was way overpriced for what it was but I suppose you are paying for the name and that it's in london

The staff here were lovely but as it indicates it’s a steak house , all four of our party chose the steak off the set menu , three of us chose the Sirloin at an additional cost , it was not a great choice , none of us enjoyed them , they did kindly reduce the bill but we had traveled across London for a disappointing experience .

I brought my husband for dinner here. We could not book in advance so turned up and we were seated by Jade - what a wonderful waitress, friendly, attentive, helpful and very accommodating. We ordered starters, but they needed to be changed which was done with ease. The chef was very accommodating. We had caesar salad and macaroni cheese. The main meal was lovely and faultless - our compliments to the chef! My hubby had steak and I had a burger. He also had cheesecake and I had sticky toffee pudding which was huge but delicious. 😋 The only issue to note is cocktails were included in the deal, but they don't make them on site - a bit strange! But we were ogre wine or beer, and we had rose wine , beer. We were very happy with the alternative. As I said Jade was lovely and is an asset to the team, she was very lovely. We will be back as it was very nice and so was the restaurant and ambience!

I purchased a voucher for a special anniversary for my parents for Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse in London. Unfortunately, my father contracted covid and was quite unwell so called the restaurant to let them know and try to rearrange the morning prior to the booking the next day to rearrange. Aside from this being an act of courtesy, so as to not bring covid into their restaurant, he was also too unwell to attend following further complications and explained this to the staff member. Sadly, Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse showed no compassion, empathy or understanding of the situation and simply and rather abruptly dismissed the request to move the booking stating there was to be no amendments within 48 hours. When I contacted Virgin Experience Days, they too advised they couldn’t help as the voucher had been redeemed so washed their hands of it. Not only were my parents so disappointed to miss out on the celebration, my money is now wasted. In future, I will ensure I book experiences with companies who actually care about their customers and pick restaurants who show a bit of compassion and basic customer service.

As a note: this is an honest review with NO hyperbole. We ate here on August 28th at 18.20. We were a walk-in and even though the restaurant had over a dozen tables, only 2 were filled up. You'd think it was good that during peak hours you'd get a walk in to earn some custom but the reaction from the staff was very stuck up, like we were an inconvenience. We were asked to pick a table, the waitress came over 20 minutes later to ask if we wanted drinks. Considering there were more FOH staff than tables of people this was really bad. I wanted to order a starter and a main and my partner wanted 2 starters as she couldn't eat much. We were told this was an issue as this was a "fine dining" restaurant and we HAD to order 2 courses each. We asked why this couldn't be done and we were met with nothing but "fine dining", "fine dining" - apparently fine dining means waiting 20 minutes to ask for water and being greeted by a scowl worthy of The Grinch. There was no dress code by the way - we only came to London to watch AEW All In and this was the closest restaurant to my hotel (as it's literally in the hotel) when we needed dinner the following day. People were in hoodies and I was in a GAP T-shirt. If this was a problem we'd have happily moved on but "fine dining" only became apparent once we were ordering. Another excuse was that 4 plates would congest the table...the table that could easily fit 4 people. So be aware if you order for a table of 4, one of you might not get a meal because the starter plates they chose to buy are too big. We were about to walk out when all of a sudden the waitress says "I'll see what I can do" and at the threat of losing £50 of custom (which is NOTHING to a "fine dining" restaurant) it was ok! We ordered calamari, French onion soup and mac and cheese starters followed by a roast chicken main. A nicer waitress, Jade, brought the wine we ordered, though when she offered to put the bottle in ice, that never came, so good job I'm ok with warm wine. After a while the 3 starters arrived. Calamari was ok. Nothing wrong with it but not a high standard. The Mac and cheese was advertised to come with breadcrumbs which didn't exist. The cheese topping was nice but the underneath was watery. A poor M&C. However... The French Onion Soup. This deserves it's own paragraph. I remind you - I use ZERO hyperbole in my reviews. I'm a chef. I've been to Chef's Academy. Most people learning the culinary arts do French Onion Soup in the first week. Marco, your unnamed chef you chose to represent your brand made the WORST French Onion Soup I've seen and tasted in my life time. During the lockdown I took simple ingredients from Asda, including Knorr stockpots with Marco himself endorsed on the TV, and I made classic French Onion soup far, FAR better than what this professional chef in a professional kitchen made. "Fine Dining" Again, no hyperbole, Baxters French Onion Soup was better than this soup. "Fine Dining" The soup was bland, tasted of hot water with no onion or shallot flavour mixed in so it tasted just like onion and water. Zero seasoning, the croutons tasted of the kind of bread you'd go and feed the pigeons with, barely suitable for human consumption let alone "fine dining" and there was a distinct lack of any kind of Gruyere or any other kind of cheese on top. "Fine. Dining." I couldn't do it. I couldn't finish the meal. I always thought the chicken & noodles I had at a pub in the lake district was the worst meal I had, but a hearty congrats for Marco finding a team that could really snatch defeat from the jaws of...well...more defeat. I'm actually by the character limit now. So luckily for Marco I can't say much more. Briefly: they actually forgot our main course, which almost awards them a 2 star review as it ended our suffering early. I want to add - there is a pub next door called The Castle. We went there to drown our sorrows and the staff were talkative, the beer was great and though we didn't eat, the food looked like it had more personality to it. Go there, they deserve the custom.

Tried to book a table after redeeming a BuyaGift voucher - could never get through on the phone, just rang constantly and no one picked up. Sent various emails trying to ensure the date I wanted was available but no response. Very disappointing. Was expecting being a Marco Pierre White restaurant it would be nice surroundings, quality food and service . In every aspect this failed. A disaster. A confused waitress, a constant pressure to order before an apparent unspoken closing time and despite four of us sitting at the table; only 3 plates arrived and no apology or deduction given. 1 star too many. Was looking forward to a MPW restaurant, but this was beyond an ordinary Starbucks. From service to food, it was sub par. Much when you consider the price point. Shonky service borderlining rude/entitled wait staff, food orders were taken wrongly therefore sent back and more importantly, a night out ended up in disappointment. Shut this down. A restaurant in London on a Saturday night was barely 5 tables filled as we rocked up past 7pm ought to have been a sign, and it was our mistake to have continued.

A bit embarrassing having “foody” friends over from Australia to enjoy a good steak. Overall a poor experience. Started with the wrong water poured (ordered sparking, poured still) and mistake was met with a shrug and a bottle of sparking dumped on the table. The wine was then scattered liberally across the table and our glasses not equally filled (mine was half filled compared with my wife’s - much to her joy). The food order was a debacle - we confirmed the order as the waiter’s initial read back made no sense. Was it rare, medium rare or pure luck. Anyway three of the orders were wrong. It was corrected with a goblet of red for the dishes that were returned. Not sure the wine was the same quality that we had purchased - but nonetheless a gesture. Finally one of our group risked a coffee. Nicely delivered in a costa coffee cup. Class. Pretty much summed up our experience. Coffee shop attempt at steak house.

Very disappointed with tonight’s experience. Orders arrived incorrectly, resulting in returns to the kitchen and when they came back again they were cooked more to order but still incorrect. Basically gave up with service and food order. Black coffee arrived at the end of the dinner with more coffee on the serviette than in the cup.., basic skills outstanding. Very disappointed with MPW quality standards on this occasion. Won’t be going back.

The staff now are very officious. The manner by which we were ejected was offensive. We used to love this pub but the current staff were offended when we “were not standing” to show our willingness to leave even after us explaining we were waiting one of our party to return from the toilet. An otherwise charming venue spoilt by staff who were unnecessarily rude. We won’t return there anytime soon.

Had full English breakfast here. We only came here cos it’s right in. The station, couldn’t be bothered to go anywhere else. For the price it was just ok really. It came out pretty quick, waited about 7 minutes. Taste nice but was on the cold side. Hash brown was very hot. The rest was not. Took a bit longer to wait for our coffees.
