Marco Pierre White Steak and Alehouse in City of London, Westminster

Had a delicious 5 course menu today using Christmas voucher we were given. Fantastic cocktail included and every course was wonderful. Best steak I’ve ever tasted and cooked to perfection. Attentive staff and lovely atmosphere. Yes extra to pay but only minimal for wine and service charge. Couldn’t fault anything today

Excellent meal and service. Excellent customer service by Grant and our French waiter (didn’t quite grab his name). All three courses were excellent with superb recommendations. We actually went for the duck which was really good.

Honestly wasn't expecting much. These celebrity endorsed places are often disapointing. However... We were greeted by Jose. He was the perfect maitre de. Impeccable manners, quietly funny, and very attentive. The waiters were sweet and attentive. Nothing was a problem. We had a voucher that we were gifted, and (again) in the past this hasn't always worked well, not here, everyone in that room was treated as if they were the only guests in the resturant. The food was delicious! The blue cheese was to die for; and they make really good cocktails... really good! At the end they gave me a dessert for my birthday, it was so sweet. I 100% recommend this resturant. I have no negatives at all, not a single thing was wrong... even the people sitting on the table next to us were lovely!

We had a virgin experience voucher and was slightly nervous after reading some reviews but had no need to be! We could not fault the meal at all. The Staff were very . attentive. The menu had plenty of choice and the supplements were clearly stated We had 3 courses with a cocktail and we did not select anything with supplements so . all we were billed for was the service charge Food was lovely! We went for the 5 course lunch menu from a Virgin voucher. Very good value for somewhere in central London however the food is a bit likes its off of a conveyour belt. 2 of the dishes were very average. The mackrel pate was very non mackrel and a bellini starter was tasteless. The steak was fantastic and the champagne offer was reasonable. Great postcode cocktail too. So me and my partner had a visit to London and decided to try this restaurants 5 course tater menu. The portions were laughably small first course was 4 slices of beetroot with a 1 cm square cube of goats cheese on top no suace no seasoning just beetroot and the smallest price goats cheese I have ever seen second course was a blimi with tiny bit smoked salmon and 4 yes 4 egs cavier on top tasty yes but gone as quick as you able to see it 3rd course was some wheat more generous it was 2 slices sour dough bread and a mackrel patte which was delicious and with perfectly balanced flavours when all ate together. 4th course was a 3once yes that's right just 3once slice fillet steak toped with the smallest bit of Foie gras any one has ever seen it was about the size of 2 gardens peas stuck together at best and then topped with just 1 slice of black truffle. Don't get me wrong it was all perfectly cooked and very delicious. Now comes the 5th and final course I had the sticky toffee pudding! It was the worst sticky toffee pudding I have ever had it was dry, heavy and flavourless the sticky toffee pudding I used get at school was 💯 nicer than then one I had here. In all the food was delicious except the pudding. The service was second to none the atmosphere was awesome and it was a good experience but was definitely underwhelming and have had better food at my local pub.

Very very disappointing. Virgin experience - well it was an experience. A really really bad one. Bought for my birthday by my son and I have not had the heart to tell him how bad it was in every respect. Bad value for money everything had a supplement the only included steak was an 8oz rump. Received the Virgin Experience for the view up the shard and a 3 course meal with a cocktail for this restaurant. We chose the included cocktails, starters and main (rump steak) which were lovely!! Upgraded a few pounds to the chocolate mousse which was also yummy! It was all in all a nice meal but just note you need to pay a non-refundable £10pp to book the table plus £1pp for table cover. This isn’t included in the virgin experience deal :)

I have to say to whole experience was very underwhelming from the moment I arrived, the food and service. Although I had made my reservation through OpenTable and had an email confirmation the staff had no record of my booking. To add to that it definitely felt like the staff did not believe me and made me feel very uncomfortable in front of my guests. This was a present form our 35th wedding anniversary and it also coincided with my wife's birthday. The meal was excellent, as was the service. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
