Extremely poor. Absolutely nothing special. Surprised Marco Pierre White has put his name to this place. Friday night and maybe 3 tables in says all you need to know.

Thank you for the hospitality that I received when visiting your Media City restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and Menu There is a simple menu that includes all the Italian and American classics that people love to eat. The choices are limited however it does cater for a range of diners from the Meat lover to the Vegetarian. In the Starters there is a Garlic Pizza Bread that is tasty with a great Garlic aroma. There is also American Style Nachos with Jalapeños and all the sauces to dip into. In addition, there is Calamari, Ribs and the Chicken Crunch too. In the Mains there is a great selection of Pizzas with good flavours. There are also additional toppings that you can add on for an extra charge. There is also a decent variety of Steak, Pasta, and Salad dishes for those that fancy them too. For the Burger fan there are some Beef Burgers and a Chicken Fillet one too. There is also a wide variety of sides that are a great addition to your meal from Chips, Sweet Potato Fries to Onion Rings and Garlic Bread too. For those with a sweet tooth then there is a selection of popular Desserts including the Warm Chocolate Brownie, Cheesecake and, Tiramisu that is creamy and indulgent to eat. If you like cold Desserts then there is Ice Cream and the Knicker Bocker Glory. For the Starters the Garlic Pizza Bread was tasty and moorish. It was soft in the middle with a bite on the edges. It was yummy. The Calamari was pleasant to eat but could have been cooked more as it was slightly rubbery to eat. For the Mains the Chicken Fillet Burger was perfectly cooked and it was beautifully presented. It was tasty and heart-warming to eat. The Salad and the Mayonnaise added more flavour. The Sweet Potato Fries were comforting to eat. They were crispy on the outside with soft fluffy Potato on the inside. I love how they are presented in a small pan dish. Cute. The Onion Rings were scrumptious. Their crispy batter was great on the outside with soft Onion pieces inside. It was a heart pleaser. For Dessert the Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream was heavenly to eat. The Brownie was cooked superbly. It was not hard to eat but it was runny with gooey and indulgent Chocolate. Yum. The Ice Cream was great too as it cut through the richness of the Chocolate adding texture. It was also stunning in presentation in which the Chocolate Brownie is in the middle of the plate with a lovely scoop of Ice Cream on top. Drinks They have a good selection of soft drinks which include all the popular ones to have. There is also a small variety of juices on offer too. However they do not serve non-alcoholic Mocktails. Service The service was good. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and accommodating. She gave us the time to choose our dishes. Her suggestions for food were spot on. It was good that the food came out pretty quickly and it was beautifully presented. Lighting and Access The lighting at this restaurant was pretty bright which allows for an enjoyable meal for most people including those with visual impairments. Entry to this restaurant is at the Holiday Inn Hotel to which there is a small step to enter into the building. Once inside there are stairs and lifts to get to the Mezzazine floor. This is where you will find the restaurant. There are no stairs inside as it is on one level. Furniture The furniture here is brilliant. I love the big tables which are spacious. The chairs are big and are comfortable to sit on. This gives a relaxed ambiance so that you can dine in style. Parking Parking is available at the Quayside Media City UK multi-storey car park (formerly The Lowry). If you are a Blue Badge holder then you will get 4 free hours when stamping your ticket. This takes effect from the time of arrival. Alternatively you can park at the Media City multi-storey which is closer to the venue. Pricing The pricing of the dishes at this restaurant are mid- range. However it is worth visiting once a while especially if the waiters are good, the food is tasty and that it is beautifully presented. If you love to eat Italian and American food within a relaxed atmosphere then head down to your local Marco’s.

Booked a pre theatre meal and it was first clas. Great food, nice atmosphere, excellent service from Jess. Would definitely recommend

We were staying in the hotel next door (holiday inn) and came for dinner. Service was amazing, we were served by Rada and nothing was too much trouble. A really lovely friendly lady and made our evening. I ordered Rib eye steak and salad with no tomatoes, came with loads of tomatoes - not really an issue as I just left them (but a bit of a waste) the steak was delicious and cooked perfectly, blue cheese sauce was nice (but a tiny pot for £3,75 but never mind) My mum ordered the chicken fillet burger which she said was lovely but chips were luke warm - she did enjoy it though. Dessert was the baked cheesecake it was nice but no wow factor and a bit bland. The sundae my mum had was just okay but had warm cream on top and over whipped and she didn’t really enjoy it. Overall just an ok meal, we was expecting a little more finesse for the brand of Marco Pierre White but felt it was very run of the mill and very chain like. We wouldn’t rush back to another MPW New York Italian.

The restaurant is attractive, with comfortable furnishing and is clean and modern. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu is very limited but we managed to choose a starter and a main, the starters were both good and served quickly, my main was the mac and cheese al funghi, which I didn’t actually eat as the pasta was very soggy, the sauce was not cheesy or flavoursome and the mushrooms were just dumped on top and not baked into the dish. My husbands pizza was perfectly fine but average. We felt that the food is overpriced for what it is, as it is very basic and not very authentically“Italian” and is a little like pub food. The drinks are very expensive but we are in centra Manchester so that was to be expected. The waitress forgot to bring my husbands beer but we were still charged for it when we got the bill. They did rectify this quickly however. All in our visit was okay but we wouldn’t visit again as we didn’t feel that the quality of the food was reflected by the price.

We booked a table for a Friday night for 3 adults and 1 child. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The menu was very detailed and during the summer they were doing kids eat free. We had some lovely meals. Two had starters and I had the wings. They were really good, flavoursome and had just the right spice. Menu did say it came with celery, but mine turned up with carrot. I don't mind the change but do let customers know. The children's portions were really book and we were surprised to see it. The children's menu also offered varied stuff, instead of nuggets and burger. Slight recommendation is supplying water bowl or extra napkins for ribs. Puddings were very nice. Courgettes fries were a little greasy. Overall good value for money and great food. Recommended.

Good food, great value fixed price menu, attentive staff. Recommended, but worth booking as we didn’t get in Tuesday evening, so booked Wednesday instead.

Very quiet restaurant even on a weekend night. We had dinner included in our hotel stay rate so dined here. Cant fault the service Very friendly. Unfortunately if you are on a dinner rate you only get to choose from a limited menu, which for main means you can only get HALF a pizza. The pizza was over cooked and difficult to cut. The cheesecake dessert was stale and stodgy and one spoonful got eaten. Overall we reckon our meal cost £21pp when we paid £25pp extra for dinner to be included in our stay, so didn’t even get what we paid for. No wonder the place is empty! So much better choice nearby at Salford Quays or if you head into Manchester or Trafford Centre!

The Salad and the Mayo added more flavour otherwise it would have been bland just having Chicken inside a Burger Bap. The Sweet Potato Fries were comforting to eat. They were crispy on the outside and were soft on the inside. I love how they are presented in a small pan dish. Cute. The Onion Rings were OK but they broke apart every time I ate them. This suggests that they should have been cooked better to give them a solid texture and stop them breaking. The Dessert was the stand out course of the dinner. The Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream was lovely in I ts presentation. The Brownie was cooked to perfection. It was not hard to eat or runny with gooey and indulgent Chocolate. Heaven. The Ice Cream was great too as it cut through the richness of the Chocolate adding texture. Drinks They have a good selection of soft drinks which include all the popular ones to have. There is also a small variety of juices on offer too. However they do not serve non-alcoholic Mocktails. Service The service was good. Our waitress was friendly, welcoming and attentive. We were met by a lovely manager named Carla she was friendly and knew so much about the menu and wine list. She made us feel at home the food is quick and hearty and the summer specials especially the swordfish in my opinon was...

A very enjoyable dining experience and all meals very tasty and well presented in an elegant environment. The choice of 2 or 3 course al a carte pre-theatre dinner menu's were very excellent and great value for money. Lots going on in the close vicinity...

I visited with my 89 year old Italian mother hoping for a really well made pizza. What came was like cardboard, I could hardly cut it and we found it almost inedible. Our waitress assured us that nobody else complained and that she eats the pizza every day! We scoffed at this and complained until they removed the item from the bill and I refused to pay the service charge. What happened to "the customer is always right" or at least not arguing with them in a truly silly and defensive manner? Marco Pierre White should try the food for himself.

We were visiting media city for the afternoon and decided to go to Marco Pierre Whites New York Italian for our evening meal. We pre booked a table, however when we arrived in the restaraunt, we were actually the only ones dining. We have dined previously at Marco steakhouse bar and grills, and noted the beautiful decor which is similar to that of his steakhouses. We all took advantage of the early bird evening menu, which was very reasonably priced at £18.50 for 3 courses. Our starters arrived which were calamari, chicken gujons and bruschetta, these were all generously portioned, as were our mains of pasta, pizza and a burger.Two of my dining partners didn’t have room for dessert, however I opted for a delicious brownie. It was a lovely meal, in a lovely environment, if a little quiet. This would not however, discourage us from revisiting.

excellent meal. We came last year and it was out of this world. Once again the meal was very nice. Sophie the waitress was very nice and welcoming. I highly reccomend.this restraunt. Normally a restraunt attached to a hotel, we would not entertain, but after trying this when stayed Perviously, we definatly wanted to come again. Its a must!!!

Came here with a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea with Processco. The afternoon tea was lovely the waitress was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely will be returning.

My husband and I were staying at the Holiday Inn in Media City and decided to try their restaurant, Marco's, for dinner. It turned out to be a very memorable meal. The food was delicious, and the servers, particularly Orla, really went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We were very pleased.

I visited MediaCityUK to attend broadcasting meetings at the BBC. Marco's is the only restaurant I have found (yet) at the Holiday Inn. I had dinner at Marco's and ordered the buffalo mozzarella side salad and as a main course, I had the baked salmon filet with Tuscan bean ragu and herb crust. Both were excellent. Marco's has an excellent wine and spirits list, excellent views near the water and excellent service. Note for North Americans: they automatically add 10% as a tip to the total, which is less than what we normally pay, i.e. 15 - 20%.

I arranged my daughters baby shower here in December 2017 but only just got round to writing a review! Very friendly, helpful staff and the private dining room was the perfect size for our party. The table layout by the staff was lovely and we were able to decorate the room also.The food was absolutely fantastic - and plentiful! Cakes were delicious! We opted for afternoon tea (2 menus to choose from) and they catered for vegan, vegetarian & halal eaters - nothing was too much trouble and the price is great for what you get. Would definitely return as I would love to try the meals and would most definitely recommend. Excellent restaurant, lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

Marco “Pierre” White. He’s from flippin’ Leeds!Honestly, the food... it really is bad. The meat in the burger was like from a burger van, dressed up to make it look fancy. Marcos a blagger. I guess I’ll be going to McDonald’s on the way home. I don’t even like McDonald’s :-(

Great food at a resonable price. Service was swift and efficient without being invasive. The staff were always smiling and couldnt do enough for us. Would recommend. Tip of the hat to sadie the trainee.

Hello. I feel a bit bad writing this review after the fact as the staff were so lovely and we didn't like to complain to them at the time. Please forgive our "britishness" when it comes to complaing!Firstly, as I said the staff were lovely and accommodating. The restaurant was empty at lunchtime on a Bank Holiday Saturday which we thought a bit odd. We were asked if we would like some water for the table. We answered "yes" (still water) and a carafe with two glasses appeared. I ordered a drink separately. I was subsequently a bit miffed with a charge of £3.50 on the bill for the water. I realise we were in a "Marco Pierre White" restaurant, but our local Pizza Express supplies carafes of water free of charge. It would have been nice to let us know that the water in question was chargeable.Our food arrived swiftly - one Pasta with bolognese and one pizza with salami. The pasta tasted nice and was generally enjoyed (though it was a bit light on sauce) and my partner said it wasn't the best she's had. The pizza I wasn't impressed with at all. I ate it (I was very hungry!) but was quite disappointed as I had high expectations of a 'named' restaurant. I have no doubt that it was freshly prepared, but it reminded me of some of the poorer frozen pizzas I've had at home over my lifetime. The base was hard (had to use pizza cutter as knife was hurting my hand cutting it) and the topping was uninspiring.Again, apologies for not saying anything to the staff when they asked if everything was ok with the meal - I would have been embarrassed to say anything and had little hope that chef could improve on the end result in any case as it didn't seem to be over-cooked or badly put together. It just wasn't very good.All in all a bit of a disappointment with the food.
