Marakesh Restaurant in Horsham

Only ordered one thing and on the menu it was £6 which was confirmed by worker. However, then charged me £8 on card machine and tried to hide the amount! Just disgraceful

So I ordered a kids chicken, nuggets and chips there is meant to be 5 And there was only 4 and ordered it with cheese and didn’t get cheese I got chips instead and it’s just a waste of food because we weren’t going to eat it.

Ghastly- staff rude and take away kebab disgusting lukewarm and lamb kebab very fatty. Will not purchase from here again.

We use Marrakesh almost weekly, with delivery through Just Eat. We have the Indian menu sometimes, and a burger and kebab others. I love both! I have never had a bad meal. The best donor kebabs I’ve had and their curries are fabulous too. Our favourites are Kashmiri lamb rogan josh and chicken shashlik.

Placed an order for a large pizza through their website (not Just Eat). Still waiting an hour later. Phoned up to be told the order wasn’t received, and that they don’t take website orders. The man I spoke to could not explain why we had received a confirmation email of the order details - he insisted that they don’t receive orders through their website. Not sure where the online orders and the payment ends up, there was nothing waiting to be cooked for our address when he checked on his ordering system.

Below average quality for a take away these days. They have two sides to their take away menus. One is chips burgers and pizza and the other is English Indian food. All of which is poor quality imitations. Best avoid if you really want a good example of Asian or fast food.

The order is never ever right. Always something missing or sauces wrong. They don’t listen when you phone. Not worth it

We ordered through Just Eat then got a text 10 minutes AFTER the food was meant to arrive that our order had been cancelled. Finally get through to be told they don't deliver to our address - thanks for ruining our Christmas Eve dinner. Rude and unhelpful on the phone too. Not impressed!!

Absolutely awful!!! Ordered for delivery they phoned an hour later to say food was ready to which I replied I requested delivery! Said to them it better be hot if it’s been sitting their waiting for collection (there mistake I add) but he said it had literally JUST been cooked ....... turned up on the door STONE COLD!!!! Not even edible! (I am 28 weeks pregnant!!!) Phoned up to complain and was offered 2 FREE portions of chips! Tbh a new order should have been sent out as it was was their mistake but they wouldn’t admit this!!! Will NEVER be returning here again 100% going to ashington or further afield in future!!!! What has happened to Marakesh! Gone down hill!!!!!!

I ordered a large chicken shish kebab with fries as a treat, never again. I counted 6 pieces of chicken! If you want a proper kebab don't waste your time and money here, go to the Ashington kebab instead which is in a different league to this place, really poor experience, never again.

I have enjoyed the food from this establishment several times now and another great experience last night. I'm a big fan of Indian foods and have eaten in many restaurants over the years, and I have to say the quality and flavour from this place is truly superb. The quality of the chicken is fantastic, you can tell it's pure good quality chicken without being pumped full of water and always perfectly trimmed, so no nasty bits. Flavour of sauce is excellent (I went for the "Revenge" house speciality) and even the rice and naan were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Large portion sizes and very reasonable prices make this a real hidden gem. I haven't written a TripAdvisor review for years, but was genuinely moved to wanting to give these guys some positive feedback after my latest experience. Highly recommend.

To be fair I have now had a take-a-way from here 4 times. Tried the Pizza, burger, chicken donna and lamb donna. Whilst they were generous in portion they must also be generous in bacteria. Each time I have ended up with a dicky tummy. Well that's the politest way of putting it..... mybe it's me but I thought I had quite a tough constitution but not when it comes to the food from here. So all I can say as a local resident the Marakesh is off my list of local establishments to get a takeaway from.

We have used this take away over a number of years and it has always been very up and down,but the last 3 times we have ordered it had been very much better,great flavour ,and a great choice of menu ,we have the delivery option which we really like.We have enjoyed it very much ,give it a try.And if you use the just eat app it couldn’t be easier to order.

Gave a try to this takeaway for a curry on Saturday.. much to my surprise the food was hot and very delicious. Must try for a takeaway curry. Will order soon from this place

My last order from here was so disappointing This was once a really great outlet with friendly service, quick turnaround and tasty food but recently it’s gone downhill dramatically. The person on the phone was rude and unhelpful. Kebabs were cold and dry, the lamb was chewy and chicken was like cardboard. The chips were soggy and they had put the wrong sauce on the burger. When we pointed this out the staff told us that if we wanted a different sauce, we would have to pay for a new burger There are places in nearby villages that deliver similar food but with better service, better quality food, better prices and better special offers.

Second time ordering through 'just eat' within the last 3 weeks, first time was 'fine, nothing special but very edible '. This time was awful.....literally inedible.Ordered a chicken kebab.....somehow tasted Indian? Why? Last time I ordered a curry as that was what i wanted, this time I wanted a kebab (Greek???) I got some kind of sweet chicken Indian kebab!! Not nice and quite inedible with some small shop bought pitta bread.Chicken which looked great, some great crunchy looking batter over it which I believe is supposed to be spicy..... tasteless.Garlic sauce....same consistency as milk. Garlic bread.....crust without the cheese was much better than the cheesy part. Kebab meat with chips and chilli sauce was the next simple dish ordered.....all topped on top of each other including Chips and the sauce, sauce should be delivered in a separate pot, ended up with yet another very sweet sauce ruining another dish. Which was completely soggy as delivered all on top of each other. Can't describe as anything apart from awful. £20 delivery of which we may have eaten about £5 worth of food. A terrible waste of money and food. Interesting this meal was delivered with a new menu 'Spice'. Which is an Indian menu, great....if you want Indian food.....shame that's not what we wanted or ordered through 'just eat'.Delivery was great, nice lady delivered within the time, thank you

We have recently ordered Chicken Kebabs on the last two occasions and they were terrible.Thin small pieces of dry chicken. Such a shame. Used to regularly order chicken kebabs from here a few years ago and they were good.Chili Sauce not great either. Just ketchup flavoured with chilli and mint.They are so much better from Papa Pizza in Pulborough.

My kebab made me sick. It was revolting. Lamb totally over cooked, had this problem before. Hamburger was disgusting. I was so ill.

Food was good but arrived 40 minutes after receiving a text saying the food was on the way, it only takes 10 minutes to walk, rang them when it was 20 mins late to be told the driver was in our road took another 10 minutes for it to arrive. Will use them again but will collect in future.

Food wasn't up to the usual standard today. Chicken cheese burger was missing the cheese and the portions were on the small side. Also the chicken in the chicken burger was quite dry and some pieces tasted burnt. Arrived Early though. We're usually really happy with the food so a bit of a shame it wasn't up to normal standard, probably won't put us off though!

Salad really needs to be in a box not HOT in a plastic bag food very very nice but DRY needs an adjustement to the recipe or something to introduce moisture to the meal, bought from these guys long before Just Eat they have raised their game but not there yet. In my Opinion.

First curry I've ordered, so might just be unfortunate but you don't get a lot of sauce with it compared to others! Quality is good, just not enough of it for the rice. The kebab rolls could do with the option for salad and sauce in them otherwise they're a bit dry

Slightly concerning that our food arrived within half an hour of ordering given that we live a 15 minute drive from the restaurant and the expected order time was an hour and ten minutes! The food was absolutely vile and most of it went straight in the bin. We will not be ordering from Marakesh ever again.

To be honest with you , If you call a few peas a couple of sweetcorn , potatoes and finely chopped carrots in swimming in sauce a Vegetable curry . then so be it. This was a spice soup Seriously it was the worst takeaway I have eaten

V happy to have discovered in my village! (Also, delivery guy v friendly.) Scored restaurant service as 3/6 only because it was a takeaway so nor relevant.

The delivery was really slow, we wait about 1hr and a quater and when we rang to ask where it was there was little information given, and not very apologetic, or resolution. The food was okay, but tandoori chicken was a let down and a pain to disect off the bone. Overall a little dissapointed.

45 minutes late and food turned up stone cold, really is a shame as always had good experiences with this restaurant but not this time unfortunately. I'm a regular customer so hate to leave a poor review but it was literally so cold and impossible to re heat when it has salad on it.

Terrible. 2 hours since I placed my order and 1 hour since it should have been delivered and still nothing. Contacted the place several times and they have given me no information and been less than helpful. Absolutely useless.
