Many Ho Takeaway in Taunton Deane

This Chinese takeaway used to be really great and I wrote a review three years ago saying as much, but we ordered sweet and sour pork and a beef dish last weekend and unfortunately we could only eat a few mouthfuls. The pork dish was almost all batter and both meals were rock hard as if they’d been microwaved a few times. What a shame.

Chicken balls are great however pork is questionable and sweet and sour sauce is bland. Chow mein is chewy and bland too.

Order not correct in part. Quality of remainder of the order was poor. Customer service terrible. Will not be back.

Seen reduced eggs at the back most likely out of date eggs won’t be goijg back there unhealthy for a dog

By far the best Chinese in Taunton, the special fried rice and chicken chow mein are so tasty. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We had a chinese takeaway as our usual was closed. The food was all fine but there was a long wait for it even though I had phoned in advance and arrived at the time and it was not up to our usual expectations of a chinese. Not the cheapest either. A shame as it's the closest to us!

Been going there for years. Good value for money. Used to have the Lemon chicken but last time tasted awful everything else ok though.

Nice food, enjoyed what was ordered and taken away. Only take cash, something to be mindful of. Prawn crackers bit soft and chewy, would be my only negative feedback on the food,maybe give them a miss next time and stick to the mains.

The special curry had a really thick brown gravy-like sauce which neither looked or tasted at all like chiense curry sauce. Not how it used to be!

Overnight stay in Taunton for a work course. Didn’t feel like eating in the pub stated to the hotel so decided on a takeaway & this was close to where I was staying.The gentleman who served me was polite, friendly & more than happy to do me a receipt. I ordered chicken fried rice with separate bbq sauce. Both were piping hot so were still hot after the mike drive back to the hotel. Plenty of chicken with the rice & had a good splash of soy sauce in for flavour. Really enjoyed it & would definitely go again if I have to visit our Taunton office again.

Great Chinese around can’t fault it would be even more better if they could deliver Great service keep it up

Great food and large portions. It can get pretty busy at the weekends, so get in early if you can. There’s a big range of food to choose from. I normally go for either the Curry, fried rice, Sweet and Sour chicken balls (Hong Kong style and batter) and chicken in creamy black bean sauce.

Visited while staying in Taunton best takeaway Chinese I have ever had. Lovely service, huge portions and the most amazing sweet and sour chicken in better and Aromatic duck-its define. Highly recommend for a delicious take away.

Ordered by phone and had to wait for ages. Food padded out with more Veg than meat. Not worth it. I will NOT be going back

We don't often have takeaway but being a birthday in the family we decided to treat ourselves to one. The only thing that let's this place down is that it is cash payment only, and we hardly have cash on us, but luckily there is a cash machine a few doors up. Ordering was easy, the menu is set out really clearly, we were told twenty minute wait which was about right and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended Chinese takeaway.

Ordered around £50 worth of takeaway - fairly pricey and to feed six of us we can normally do it considerably cheaper through other takeaways. However, we heard that this Chinese was of particularly good quality so decided to give it a go. The food was tasty - prawn crackers and sweet and sour chicken balls were flavoursome and crispy unlike many other takeaways. Despite this, I didn't really feel as though it justified the price as portion sizes are considerably smaller and the other dishes we ordered tasted fairly standard. On top of this, we were told to collect our order around 35 minutes before it was ready so ended up waiting around in the takeaway hungry and at this point it was getting later than preferable. The service was fairly poor - there was no greeting from staff, nor any explanation as to where our food was. My assumption was that they were busier than they could manage. The lady who was taking orders and cash was openly snappy and rude towards the delivery drivers. All in all, I would say that it's a decent place to go for a Chinese that would probably be more cost effective for two to three people eating, and be weary of a potentially lengthy wait. I doubt we'll be visiting again purely for that reason.

My family of 10 age range 2 - 62 had a takeaway from Many Ho we found the food really great larger portions than we are used to and reasonably priced in our view well worth a visit and easy and free to park

Got a takeaway Sunday 20th august at 10:30pm. Picked up the food and took it home. I ordered crispy beef , egg fried rice, sweet and sour pork and prawn crackers.

La comida no es buena y la señora propietaria siempre parece de mal humor. Necesita mejorar para mantener a los clientes ya que hay muchas tiendas. La dulce y agria eran demasiado grandes y sin sabor. El costo aquí para 2 personas es el mismo que ir a un buffet chino local a la hora del almuerzo. Muchas Honda ha bajado y demasiado caro.

Exactamente como dice, no es el más barato para llevar Chino en Taunton. Sin embargo es por mucho uno de los mejores. La calidad de la comida es lo que cuenta, y te puedo asegurar que como cliente frecuente que no te puedes equivocar si malo con muchos Ho. Altamente recomendado para todos

Used several times and the food is always very good. It's not the cheapest in Taunton but definitely well worth a visit.

Really glad we tried this place. Great food, quite quick despite obviously being really very busy on a Friday night! Not the cheapest but worth it.

We have used Many ho Chinese on several occasions. Always lovely food, shame they don't do delivery but it's worth going to collect

Everything was lovely, I haven't been here for a long time but I will defiantly be back soon! Food is fresh and hot, staff are friendly and it's good value for money, it can get busy, but the food is worth the wait!

What a difference a couple of months have made. Had some friends around against my better judgement ordered a take away and couldn't have bee more pleased with the result . Every body enjoyed the meal

Great takeaway, nicely greeted and took are order quickly food was ready after about 10 minutes, when we got home food was piping hot and tasty food.

We found the mushroom egg foo yung and fried rice good; the veggie pancake roll was a bit greasy but tasty. The service was friendly and it is in a convenient location. Good value for money.A bit more costly than London but then the ingredients are more costly to source.

The food here is lovely but at a cost. Quick service but not the most friendly. A great meal for all my family.

I've been to this family run takeaway many times over the years and the food is always delicious and fresh. They sell the tastiest chicken curry. One of favourites. Definitely worth a try. I Can't fault it, everything on the menu is scrumptious. It can get busy on the weekends but the food makes the wait worth while. Thumbs up to this gem.

Typical takeaway on a housing estate. Had the set menu for two lots of it but ribs were dry and it was just expensive fodder. Won't use it again.

Our meal is always top quality and really tasty. The service is always good and not too long to wait for our food.

This is a good takeaway that came highly recommended to me. It's slightly more pricey than most Chinese takeaways but the food was lovely and the portions are HUGE. Have to admit though despite asking if the satay was hot and being reassured it wasn't, I couldn't eat it because it was burning my lips. Sweet and sour chicken balls were great.

Have had many of their various meals from the menu , all have been really good. A bit pricy for a take away but nice as an occasional treat.

What you would expect from a take out, ordered food here a number of times and always been good, can get busy so best to pre order. Tray sizes are good and not got my orders wrong yet, would recommend

Really cant fault this place. We popped in after a long day at work & totally starving. As always plenty to choose from. And as always very filling. One request though, please could you consider getting a card machine.

I am very fussy when it comes to sweet n sour, this is easily the best place to get your chinese takeaway, not the cheapest but the food is always amazing

Quality of food here is very good hence the constant queue for takeaway food (we must all agree?!) - But there's a price to pay - What I get here for just under £15 is £10 in most other Chinese takeaways in the town

I am a fairly regular visitor to Taunton as I have family there. Sometimes we all eat out, other times we get a takeaway. Whenever we go for the takeaway option we always choose Many's. Our latest meal from Many's was (as always) fresh, tasty and hot. The meat used is always very good quality, never fatty or chewy. We tend to like spicy dishes and the Singapore Fried Rice is a particular favourite of ours. On Friday and Saturday nights it gets very busy and you can wait up to 30 minutes for your food (not a problem, there's a pub right next door!) but the fact that it's so busy reflects it's popularity due to it's excellent food. I've never had a bad meal from Many's, it's always delicious and will always be my first choice takeaway when in Taunton.

I often get this on the way home after a late finish I have to say is my QuickFix for Chinese food and I was enjoy it

Would not say its anything to go over the top about , opens at 17.00 which is a bonus and relatively easy to park , otherwise its a standard Chinese would not recommend the sweet sour chicken

Get a lot of take aways from here. Really nice food imo. Use it a lot as 5 mins from where I live. Always busy at peak times so that speaks volumes. Get on very well with owners.

Overpriced and poor quality. Made better Chinese food at home with Sharwoods products from supermarket!!

We have just had meal from here and it has got worse. Having given them yet another chance the takeaway was just get poor. The ribs were good but the rice appeared reheated and the sweet and sour just aweful.The batter was thick and undercooked and the chicken,well was it chicken. Time to move on.

Ordered a typical Friday night takeaway for myself and my partner. Food was nice and hot. Middle of the road in the taste department, nothing special. My main disappointment was how overpriced all of the dishes were! Why spend so much money here when you could just go to another takeaway and get food just as good for much less???

This is the best takeaway in taunton wont go anywhere else for a Chinese.Great varied menu and very quick service always a friendly welcome and great value for money

Having ordered food this is the slowest I have ever had to wait for food to be cooked an hour the food is also quiet expensive for what you get . Time to look for a different Chinese

Expensive, bland and slow to prepare, with so much competition just minutes away you would think they would try harder :-(

Good food but the service is not always good and the prices are creeping up compared with other take a ways.. Unfortunately the staff has never a smile
