Never received my food, quite disappointed because I’ve only heard good things.

Incredible! Best Indian restaurant in Bath. You can keep your Mint Room reservations, I'd rather eat here.

Portions were quite small but food was delicious

Sadly, after being long-time delivery customers, we are no longer going to order from Mantra. We called as our delivery was very late and were not listened to, we were accused of lying about nobody having attempted delivery and not having received any calls. The person we spoke to continued to speak over me and persisted even when the driver arrived while we were on the phone and denied having tried earlier. Really poor customer service and a real shame as enjoyed the food previously.

Hour late. Curry cold, watery and tasteless, rice cold, naan cold and soggy with condensation. Restaurant rude and unhelpful when contacted. Never again.

The food was mostly lovely as usual. Unfortunately the yoghurt dip I received with my popadoms was very sour and tasted off but other than that the rest of the food was very good.

'12£ chicken wings full' - only 8 small wings with soft skin and dull taste, meat samosa with no meat inside and empty with small pieces of veg and salt on top, more discounts you get less food they give you

I would definitely recommend the place. We had butter chicken and lamb spinach and they were delicious. The place has a lovely view and great atmosphere, thank you Kiran for the lovely service.

I did ordered biriyani from mantra today . The person who delivered the food who called me for the exact address . Before answering to him ,same time he asked me to come down to the road to collect parcel in a very bad tone . Usually, the delivery boy used to deliver at the frontdoor all times and today the owner itself reacted in a different way by making scary words towards me and telling me that he is the ‘owner ‘of mantra, which was not acceptable and I do not recommend mantra as the owner itself don’t know how to behave to the customers .very bad service .

Birthday meal ruined. I made a booking via open table. The restaurant ignored my booking and gave away our table. The staff were very rude. Why offer table booking if these are to be disregarded. Disgraceful service.

We were a group of 7 persons. It was a good experience in the restaurant. The host was nice and welcoming. Thanks for hosting us.

Amazing restaurant. Food was absolutely spot on. Lots of choices and some decent specials on offer. Their Dosas were incredible, not to mention the sauces. Onion bhaji was very tasty. Prices are reasonable and the service is amazing. The outside seating area is pleasant as well.

We recently visited Mantra Indian Restaurant in Bath and had a lovely dining experience. The food was delicious – we tried the Hyderabadi chicken, which was flavorful, tender, and mildly spiced, making it perfect for those who prefer a gentler heat. The overall setting was warm and inviting, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. However, there were a couple of downsides that kept it from being a five-star experience. The portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, particularly the starters, which didn’t quite justify the cost. Additionally, the service charge was added to the bill without being mentioned, which we would have appreciated being informed about in advance. Overall, the food quality and ambiance were excellent, but with slightly larger portions and clearer communication on service charges, it could easily be a top-tier restaurant. We’d still recommend it for a tasty and pleasant Indian meal in Bath.

I was brought here through a recommendation, and I am writing this review to hopefully recommend people further. It is a beautiful establishment with the most lovely people working there, beautiful terrace and even better food. I can’t recommend it highly enough, Thank you!

Advertised delivery time of 16:55. Food arrived at 17:51. Quality was fine but the food was nowhere near hot enough. It's hard to understand why a restaurant that opens at 16:30 takes 81 minutes to deliver a simple order to an address less than a mile away. Needless to say we won't be ordering again.

Food delivered almost an hour later than promised, and not hot enough. A disappointing experience.

Dosa is my favourite food. Get the masala dosa you will not regret it. Extra points if you get more than one. Mal was our server and she was lovely.

We love Mantra, their flavours are always fresh and the dishes have such a large range of flavours with lots of great veggie options (baby aubergine is a favourite).

The jalfrezi is superb, and the tandoori medley was an extremely generous portion and beautifully smoky! Our server was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back again!

Had the most delicious Indian meal here last Thursday , with my sister . We shared a minced lamb dosa , which came with 2 really unusual sauces . Amazing flavour. I had the lamb with spinach which melted in the mouth , and was really flavourful . My sister had the Goan fish curry , which she loved . Our waiter was so friendly and charming . Subtle flavouring. Smiles from every member of staff. Rocky our server was perfect. We sat in the indoor room before the terrace and the setting was top. Try the paneer dosa and the coconut rice. We will definitely be back.

Good food and friendly staff. Will return again soon, was busy when I last went so service could have been a bit more efficient but in all fairness they were potentially short staffed. Would still recommend as a nice Indian restaurant with good quality food in a nice location in Bath with views out the back.

Hello, we ordered a takeaway over two hours ago and have tried calling multiple times with no answer. Money has been taken out of my account and I've not had any communication from you about it. Happy to remove this 1 star review once I've heard back but as I can't get through on the phones this is a last resort. Please respond. UPDATE: The food never turned up, the order has been marked as complete, and on finally getting through to someone on the phone they hung up on me when I asked for a refund. This was 3 hours after the order was placed.

Over 2 hours late and then cancelled. Terrible communication. What a waste of time. Barely received an apology.

After waiting over 2 hours, I have given up hope of ever seeing my Indian takeaway. I am hungry and defeated. The phone has been taken off the hook, so no chance of hearing back about it

Small nice pleasing environment..I had been there on my wife’s birthday , the moment I told them they had greeted with small surprise at the end of the food with a birthday song and special mention about kiran who had coordinated and taken care of us from the beginning till the end..they made our day and my wife was happy too..

Food is Yum 😋 on Dinner time. Sambar, Dosa, Aloo Masala altogether comforts your taste buds. Enjoyed the costliest one with an Indian taste.

I will never order a delivery from Mantra again as our last 3 orders have ended up being cancelled (by us) as no food has arrived hours after placing the order. On all occasions, we were repeatedly reassured over the phone that our orders were on the way, but after waiting over 2 hours we gave up! The food is great (if you can get it) so this is a shame. We so also find the portions can be a bit stingy, and I miss when places used to give you free popadoms as a nice gesture! Eating in is fine but they can again be very slow and the staff always seem a bit unhappy!

Real bad experience with the take away from this restaurant! Not only waited 1:40 minutes to get my food , but arrived cold and quality very poor, chicken on both dishes was reheated! It’s better to buy a take away from Waitrose !! Never again …

Was wondering around and stumbled upon this lovely place, seen to right away and greeted with a lovely smile from the staff. The lamb biryani was one of the best and a nice sauce to top over it to give it that extra tastiness. As the bill came the service got better as the server told me they do a tremendous Indian/English fry up with all the classics and some Indian classics to. If you’re visiting Bath don’t miss out on the evening here and also the breakfast!
