Mansha Sweet Centre in Burnley

Whilst visiting Nelson and admiring the colourful sweets in the window a gentleman who was just about to go into the shop said " go on try something you will enjoy them" he then invited us to go into the shop and bought us a selection of sweets that were presented to us. We enjoyed the sweet sticky deserts after our lunch. This has prompted us to try more dishes ( outside of our culture) in the future. If the shop staff know the gentleman in question would they please thank him once again for us.Chris H

Another of Burnley's Great Value for Money Takeaways. Full to the brim with delights such as Samosa, Pakora, Kebabs, Wonderful made to order fresh chapati. I find it has to believe that some of the negative reviewers here have been to the same place. I would say that this is not a traditional takeaway. It is a counter of delights and depending on when you visit you may well have to take some things home and heat them yourself but they quality is always great and £20 will leave enough leftovers to feed two people for two days easy.

Went to their shop today, no spoon and no drink they overload with their chaat and tiny little samosas so really should be called chaat samosa

Ordered food for fifty people which cost £340. Was told prices have increased during Ramadan. Upon receipt of the food, I was shocked to see that the food provided, only catered for approximately 25 people! I saw the Lamb rice and it had me thinking - Where's the Lamb? Has it escaped??? Who thought you would have to search for Lamb pieces in a Lamb Rice dish? Like....Seriously are you kidding me?In a nutshell, it was all about the money and Mansha's greed.Truly disgusted by the behaviour of these robbing leeches, who gain unfair advantage of people during the month of fasting and giving!PS. remember Allah (swt) is watching!

Tandoori chicken has no taste, too dry and not cooked properly. Pakoras are always dry and colourless Prices are not reasonable.😕

Today we ordered naan kebab , 1x lamb, lx chicken, and chapali kebab. The kebabs were cold, wait almost 30mins for order, even though they weren’t that busy. The lamb seekh kebab tasted ok, the chicken one was rotten smokey, with odd taste. No service with a smile. Plenty of staff dossing around. Lack of action or quality service and food. The sweets looked nice. When I complained, there wasn’t an apology. Zero acknowledgement. Zero service. Shop had nice layout/display for sweets. We visited all the way from London. Thru recommendation.

You can eat in or takeaway. I always get a friendly welcome. It’s clean and you can see your food being cooked. The shop is used a lot by locals which is always reassuring. The quality is good and the prices are seasonable.

I regular visit mansha (Burnley branch). Location - colne road. Chicken tikka kebab excellent. Samosas are also very tasty. Highly recommend.

Had tea and sweets here with friends. We were happy with the sweets. But tea was normal nothing special. Good and hygienic place with place to sit for about 10 people

Stale food followed by diarrhea. Rude service. What else to add. Don't understand how these awful places remain in business.

Perfect, homemade samosas The sweets looked divine and reasonably priced. I live in London and this is as good as anything I've had there

Awful. Samosa pastry is like rubber. The kebabs were frozen therefore not fresh today. More like yesterday or day before. The chicken pakoras were awful. Not a nice place for food. Samosa hut next door is even worse.

This review is for the Nelson branch not Burnley.Well, what is there to say? the curries are very nice, maybe a bit heavy on the oil but this is easily spooned off, £4 for a curry and two roties? you'd better believe it, basic dining experience but good food

I recently went in two get some kebabs after a long commute back from work In the evening. I was next in the queue to be served and this man came and decided to push in saying he has a phone order and to serve him first. The worker decided to serve this person before me even though I was in the queue and no order was pre-prepared for this man. I then said to the worker, brother I think you should have served me first as I was next in line. He rudely responded saying it doesn't matter! I said of course it does it's only fair for the person who is first to be served first. The worker responded rudely saying no! He had a phone order! at which point i said no thanks and left. As far as it is my understanding whilst a phone order may be prepared beforehand, which in this case it was not, this does not mean anyone should queue jump just because they say they called before had.The workers are pretty much always rude and mostly don't care who was queued first and are happy to serve those who have clearly pushed in-especially unfair with lady customers

Today my hubby visited Mansha Colne Rd @ bought sum 1 1/2 kg mithai( gulapjamin) &1kg jelabi. Wen he saw the man filled the boxed with about 10 white gulabjamin, my husband asked nicely brother can u pls change few of white ones for black ones, that point man got angry, & refused to change it, that man have no experience of customer service, finding very upsetting that how easily got angry at him, we always use mansha, but that experience made us think twice to go again. Bad mouth man with tail in he’s head.

Bought a packed Pateesa from Nelson branch Tuesday 12 June 2018, opened to taste was not fresh at all, different colour at base, checked sell by date, NONE.Also bought Khoya Burfi previously , got home to see mix of fresh and old pieces, what reputation advertised on media is not at what is said. Do not bother complaining, management cares any more, if you complain you will receive a reply from staff you would'nt like. , very disappointed,,,,NO MORE MUNSHA.Ghulam Choudhry ...Blackburn

Eat in or takeaway, hot Pakistani food and fabulous cold sweets. Friendly service, cheap prices and brilliantly tasting food. Wish we had one down South.

Excellent chicken tikka with imlee sauce for me in a wrap. My partner is a fan of the pakoras, kebabs and sweet dishes.

The guys are usually really friendly and helpful. Sometimes a bit stressed but our order is usually on a Friday and that seems to be a really busy day for them. Food is always lovely and tastes great. Don't even go there with the calories, but well worth it.

Whenever we have a curry we always come here for Samosa’s and Pakora’s etc. It’s always really good and not pricey at all and the staff are really nice and helpful.

all the fried food I bought was fried in the oil they fry fish even the veg samosa everything tasted of fish not good at all.

I found wat looked like a small thick curled hair in the rasmoli I bought so took it back to the shop and explained wat I had found and all I got was 'okay okay'. Never gone back to mansha again

We get mansha,s has a group on many occasions The food is very good and tasty Especially the samosas

Great place for Asian sweets, cakes etc huge selection understand they have places in Nelson and Colne?? They have a couple of tables where you can sit and eat other snacks Samosa etc, tasty and cheap.

I love Mansha, the chicken kebabs are the best. The samosas are crispy .. staff are very friendly and helpful.

Love mansha, we go to the one in Nelson every Sunday morning, the tika is always fresh and delicious, all the samosas kebabs , pakora, are all Exellent, good friendly staff, the shop is always spotless, can't beat it.

i wouldnt buy a bottle of pop of these guys. we tried the sweets and just found they were basically sugar and flavouring... or so it seemed. on another visit, not for sweets, we got a few kebabs and samosas. dry, chilli hot to an almost unbearable limit and the samosa pastry was soggy, like they had been microwaved. not a patch on the mansha nelson shop

The staff are super friendly,The sweets are delicious. Quick service with a smile.not at all slimy and very clean.

There is so much to choose from, it was excellent! I haven't eaten from their savoury menu but their sweets are to die for. Amazing pistachio barfis are a must have if you go!

Lunchtime here as a friends suggestion, and somewhere I wasn't aware of. It is a sweet house, but also a hot food takeaway with tables too. Nothing formal or fancy here, melamine tables and bench seats. If you don't let that get in the way, the samosas and kebabs were super. Really fresh large samosas, open kebab on a freshly made naan, salad and condiments. Filling, tasty and great value. You will be pleasantly surprised if you're happy with this type of simple format. Pop in for lunch and you may be as impressed as I was...
