Mannetti's in York

Hello. My husband and I decided to walk into to talk early today and try an independent cafe rather than cafe Nero or costa that we usually go to Cost more than we usually pay but…. Oh my goodness me, my husband said his scotch egg was gorgeous and the vegan blueberry bun with icing on was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much. No photo unfortunately as I ate it then thought oops should have taken a photo.

What a beautiful little find. Fabulous service and lovely food. Would definitely visit again. I found it very clean and would recommend the cinnamon tyke scone, it was delicious 😋

We were visiting York for 2 days and found this cute cafe in passing. So glad we decided to try it. The staff were welcoming and friendly despite being very busy. We were greeted by Jorvik, he made time to chat about our stay and gave us plenty of helpful recommendations. The food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it so much we returned for breakfast on our 2nd day. Would highly recommend.

Worth a visit, we popped in here for a quick coffee before starting our catch up day in York. It’s a quaint little place and easy to get to and central to most places. Would recommend a visit there

Popped in for lunch and ordered quiche which came with a salad and also a bottle of water. £15.45. So I was expecting a lovely selection of deli salads, maybe a Coleslaw, pasta salad, antipasti mix and fresh leaves plus a decent size quiche slice. So I was disappointed to get a small ( maybe 5-6inch diameter) individual quiche and a small soup bowl of leaves, cold potatoes and beetroot salad. Taste wise it was fine if a bit pastry heavy but the salad was not good. Salad ingredients are cheap so maybe a better selection of deli salads would have justified the high price. Disappointed.

Called in for lunch yesterday , food was lovely very tasty . We had brie & chutney toastie and the homemade sausage roll . Tables little too cramped together.

First time visit here and it certainly won’t be our last! Very friendly service, lovely Italian run family cafe serving the best ever hot chocolate and cappuccino that we have ever had plus a really tasty cheese scone. Can’t wait to return again soon

I loved my breakfast here. Me and my little dog received such a welcome. I ordered the scrambled eggs which was served on a lovely big doorstop of bread. It was a very generous portion of creamy eggs and nicely garnished. It set me up well for the day. The coffee here is lush too. They made my dog very welcome bringing her a bowl of water and a treat on the way out.

Popped in for a coffee and succumbed to the banana bread. Sooooo goooood. Lovely buzzy atmosphere and great staff. Wonderful place.

Walked into the restaurant, said that we were a table for two, if possible, my partner and I are very friendly people who understand the stresses of the job, we both used to be waiters and waitresses ourselves. Anyway, we asked for a table for two when the lady on the till looked at us with distain as there was only a four seat table left. The girl on the till told the man serving tables that we were “only” a table for two, which he pulled a face as if we were an inconvenience. To add insult to injury, they then moved another couple from a tiny table to the table of four saying, “well at least this couple will be eating” very loudly. (They hadn’t even asked if we wanted food, we did but never mind!) And offered us a tiny table by the queue which the seats were too small for my partner hip mobility (she has a visible disability). As we were spoken about so rudely, as if we were not even there at some points, we just turned around and left again. Shame really, we had heard good things and was looking forward to coming here but as I work shifts we don always get time together and my partners fatigue means she doesn’t always feel town… but we live and learn, we’ll spend our pennies elsewhere.

Super cute little place. Food original & freshly made. Love an independent who shows their strengths & delivers yummy food. Service was top class. There are very few seats & it's a tight space but worth it for gorgeous food. Try their ciabatta sandwiches, we had beef pastrami, stilton & caramelised onion chutney along with pancakes with maple syrup & bacon....yummy!

Despite visiting York many times over the years it was only today that we discovered Mannetti’s! We just wanted a quick lunch and we were very impressed with everything. My wife recommends the mushroom and ale pie, and there were lots of things for veggies. This place might become our regular lunch place in York.

Spent a day sightseeing in York and paid a first visit to this nice little cafe with a small shop offering cheeses, dressings and dipping oils. Had a pastrami and blue cheese ciabatta and then their banana bread special with coffee. Bought a bottle of the salad dressing they use it was so nice. Will definitely go back.

Yes, it’s award winning for a very good reason - great staff, great food, good wine options, great aesthetics and overall great value for money. Does a number of gluten free options too. We had a salad, eggs bene and some wines - a nice way to enjoy our first lunch together in York.

Absolutely lovely cafe, with gorgeous goodies to buy too. It is great to support independent places like this. The service was excellent - really friendly - and our three dogs were welcomed and served first with dog biscuits! The food was delicious and different - we would thoroughly recommend the house special banana bread topped with fresh berry compote and yoghurt, fabulous bacon sandwich and 'cruffin' pastry. Ingredients were really high quality and coffee was spot on. Highly recommended.

What a little gem! The food was absolutely amazing, so fresh and delicious. Great choice and selection. Really welcoming and friendly staff. The cappuccino was the best coffee I’ve had in this country (I am very fussy about my coffee!) highly recommend, 5 stars!

Good for lunch. Went midweek. Small cafe. You can sit outside. It had Italian feel about it. We had ciabatta's and cold drinks. It was a hot day. I like the decor. I would go again.

Lovely independent cafe / deli located down a side street, but absolutely brimming with delicious freshly prepared food - also offering a few things which were a little bit different. We had toasted banana loaf with Greek yoghurt, blueberries and berry compote with Americano coffee - absolutely delicious!! Loads of choice and all looked really tasty. The interior is cosy - and full of interesting foodie things - service was friendly and engaged. If I lived in York this would definitely be my ‘local’, and when I’m next visiting I will head straight for here for coffee / lunch / shopping.
