Ordered online and only received half my order and when I rang up they said sorry if you want you can come the to store to collect the missing items and 'couldn't' send them with a driver...

Was a really a good experience, kids loved it all had chic burgers chips then oreo cheesecake, choc pudding and cornflake tart

Lovely place, corner building in downtown Darlington. Terrific food! and a great variety of it too. My favourite aspect was the spice and flavours, it’s difficult to find spicy food in this town and this restaurant does it well, even topped the dish with a red chilli pepper. Not much in the way of vegetarian options mind you, but the limited selection was still excellent to enjoy. The service was also excellent, kind staff that frequently checked if we needed anything else and were very well accommodating. Atmosphere was mediocre as there were kids causing a ruckus multiple times, but hey ho it’s likely a family restaurant atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting in the future again though, thanks for having us!

Had our first take away from here tonight unfortunately on the last day of our holiday . Wish we would have had one sooner we could have had two . Fresh stunning flavours great portions and unique not tasted anything like it before absolutely delicious thank you .

Quick friendly service. Ate here on a Tuesday evening and quite busy. Ordered small chicken parmesan which was huge and a whole chicken in original sauce which was just spicy enough for me. Both of us struggled to finish and noticed most other diners were leaving with to-go boxes. I would recommend the smaller options of most menu choices. Reasonably priced and staff very attentive. Can't think of any negatives.

Absolutely amazing food, service everything it's like nandos but better.

Ordered half parmo was more like quarter. The salad should have been thrown 2 days ago and lucky if the salad dressing was a third full. Ordered same from Stockton a couple of weeks ago and this was excellent and the dips were included unlike this Darlington branch very poor and tasteless

Just been here to have a meal. Can honestly say service and food much better than Ingleby. Server Jerry fantastic, explained everything about the food. Husband had parmo, said best ever had. I had mixed platter, OMG, it was fantastic. Will definitely be back. 😍

Lovely meal, great service , good atmosphere

I came in with my girlfriend and we have thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service here, We started with the jerk coated wings and peri peri grilled wings both of which were fantastic, the chicken was well seasoned and well presented, Then we opted for the mixed skewers and the waca waca chicken and both were fantastic, this restaurant is great value for money and of a decent quality and the service is excellent, we will be back for sure!

Tried this for the first time and got takeaway. All I can say is this was such good food. It was like restaurant quality but at home. Will definitely be getting this again!

Every time I come to Manjaro’s I always get the best service! We booked ahead of time and ordered a table for 7 today which was ready before we got there! They quickly took our drinks orders and came back in seconds with our drinks and a jug of water that we’d asked for. Our food orders were taken quickly as well and there wasn’t that long of a wait before they all came out one after another. We were celebrating our best friend’s birthday and they happily stored the cake we bought, sang happy birthday and added candles etc. The portion sizes are quite large so we were given takeaway boxes to take with us. The menu selection is so vast that we had a hard time choosing what to order! I would highly highly recommend :)

I phoned up a few days before to ask if it would be okay to bring a cake as it was for a birthday and they said it was fine. Got there and there was a table set up for us where we all sat together. The food order was taken after the drinks order was done and everyone’s food arrived pretty much at the same time, nice and hot. That was brilliant. I only drink hot drinks so asked for hot water which was no issue. The service I can’t fault. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much for them. Really friendly, smiling and polite. Couldn’t have asked for better service. But the food. Unreal. I got the half tandoori chicken parmo. Outstanding. There were a few veggie ones in the party who had pizza and pasta which they really enjoyed. The meat eaters had pasta, parmos, burgers and loaded tandoori chicken fries. When the cake was being brought out, which was a surprise for the birthday boy, they played and sung happy birthday. Awesome. The food was brilliant. My third outing here and it’s always been great. The staff definitely made the day special. Thanks guys. Looking forward to eating there again.

Good food but pizza sizes are slightly small ( less than 10”) would expect a bigger size for £10.95

I had the lamb skewers with chicken goujons starter. Both came out at the same time but it was tasty with lovely large chunks of lamb with all the rice chips and a lovely hot long pepper

Fantastic service and management. Picked Manjaros for Mother’s Day as it’s always been a favourite spot for my mum. She can be very particular at times but staff were excellent and went above and beyond to ensure she was looked after and any requests she had were dealt with promptly. Food was delivered to perfection, her day was made. Thank you!

Ordered a majaroes as a treat as it’s expensive as a take away. Recieved our 2x parmesans and cheese strips. Chips were dry and cold, no salad delivered (last year you got salad and oil with your delivery) and 4 x cheese strips for £6. £47.63 in total, will not be returning !

Wow just visited here when visiting Darlington. Food was fabulous I had chicken pitta the chicken was succulent and so tasty. My partner has the crispy chicken wrap and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great friendly service thank you

Had a great meal on the 28/03/24. In recent months the service has improved dramatically with the Change of staff. All are extremely polite and attentive. The food is always excellent and with so much choice, choosing is a hard task. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Superb staff! All were very friendly from the get-go, complicated order which was taken with ease, checked on us, cleared plates away, all done with beaming, genuine smiles. Food is very tasty with lots of choice. Very reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed with the amount of food on your plate!! Excellent customer service from the staff. Really clean and well organised.I dined alone and felt well looked after! Thank you Manjaros!

Lovely tandoori chicken parmesan! £17.95 for a regular! Sounds expensive? But massive in size and very spicy and tasty! Nice chips and salad and madri £4.70 a pint! Very friendly, helpful, happy, hard working staff and the whole place was nice and clean! 10/10 from me 2nd time I've been and definitely going back👍

Had a fab family birthday meal at Manjaros, Darlington on Friday evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was fabulous. Colouring sheet & crayons to occupy youngest guest. Lovely atmosphere, enjoyed by all, highly recommended!

We went to Manjaros in Darlington for my nephews 18th Birthday so there was about 18 of us. Our food was made quickly and all came out at the same time, everything looked amazing I had a chicken skewer which was beautiful and a good size portion. The staff were very attentive and professional. They brought out my nephews cake and sang Happy Birthday which I thought was a very nice personal touch. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and will eat there again. We'll Done Manjaros.x

We wanted a Caribbean restaurant as we were going to see Bob Marley at the cinema. We just walked in around 5.30pm and were sat down quickly. From start to finish, we had the most amazing time. Food was outstanding. It was super tasty and we loved it! Atmosphere was fab and music perfect for the setting. Staff were so attentive and sweet. What a great place!! Loved the fusion of Caribbean and Asian spices. We were sad to leave and will definately return. Thank you so much!

Found this place by chance. The food was amazing, great portion sizes and the sauces they give you to go wih your food are fanastic and should sell them by he bottle to take away. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going here again

Popped into Manjaros after an appointment in Darlington. Very friendly & efficient staff, especially the female waitress. Very polite & helpful, couldn't do enough for us. Food, chicken wings & lamb chops pretty good. Will pop in again.

Was my hubby's birthday and we went here for lunch. Staff so helpful and kind. Brought him a cheesecake and sang for him when my daughter sneakily told one staff it was his birthday. Hubby was so surprised and his expression made us and other customers all laugh. Thank you for making his day. He cares nothing about his own birthday. You crowned it for him.

Amazing food, will make it a regular thing coming here. The blonde lady serving us was super friendly and very welcoming, always made sure we were happy. Again, I have to say the food was really good and I can't wait to try something different next time. I've been here twice so far, sweet chilli chicken parmo ✅ and then waka waka caribbean chicken ✅ both great options.

Food wasn't good. Nobody asked how we wanted our burger cooked and it was kind of well done, not really testing. Our server was very polite and kind, especially with our baby.

I ordered food no burger to start with all the food was cold had to put it in the microwave, my burger arrived 20 minutes later microwave again. Not happy is the verdict and never again ordering for delivery

First time visit here after hearing many good reviews. Shocked to see the place very empty on a Saturday afternoon but nevertheless, this led to 3 members of staff being very attentive. Food prices for mains were roughly between 9.95 and 14.95 which we thought was great value for money considering the big chains like Wetherspoons and Green King have hiked their main meal prices up to at least £10 for predominantly reheated food and small portion sizes. I ordered mixed skewers (lamb and chicken)which came with rice, chips and pitta and my partner ordered a full parmo (came with chips and salad). The portions were huge. We both couldn’t eat all of our food. My partner asked if we could box up the leftovers (we had seen another group do this) and this was no problem. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is that the corridors leading to the toilets were dirty, dusty and in need of some DIY and TLC. I would definitely go back for food.

They close at 9:30 pm not 10 pm as stated on website. Arrived at 9:45 pm so no food or service.

One of the best lamb grills in the UK. Their specialty is the signature peri-peri sauce. They have branches all over the UK. We even introduced it to our friends when they visited us last month and now they are hooked. They live in Oxford and they still can go to the one in London. Thanks, Laura for always giving great service.

Went to Majaros Darlington for lunch and I have to say it was excellent... quick table service and excellent parmos. Definitely worth a visit.

The Darlington branch is lovely, highly recommended. Had a bad experience at the one over in Ingleby Barwick branch, and was put off from Manjaros for a few years. Then decided to give the Darlington branch a go, and it didn’t disappoint, they’re a small team but they’re all super friendly, service is very fast, they don’t waste your time. Decor inside is quirky and the staff keep the place clean, it’s like they actually care about it. Then food just bangs differently, if you ain’t tried it, then give it a shot!

Was recommended manjaros through multiple people at work. Me and my partner went down one afternoon, was clean and spacious inside, extremely friendly staff, food was great and would definitely go back.

Went for birthday meal place stank food was quick however tasted like it’d just been warmed cold food inside and was poorly handled

Service was ok chairs were very dirty been to several Manjaros before but this was filthy and smell was bad. Ordered the mixed platter that arrived within 10mins was undercooked and cold on the inside, by the time we called the lady she refused to admit it was cold and said it had been sitting on the table for 10mins. Then was getting overcharged for the drinks that was resolved eventually. First and last visit to this place.

Been going for a few weeks now and would highly recommended this place to people staff are so welcoming and friendly would recommended the barbecue beef burger was unreal and also the full chicken with the manjaros sauce also the garlic sauce is to die for over all its food is amazing will be going again 😋

Had a great meal here. Food is unique, nice place to sit, and very friendly staff. Their southern fried chicken strips as a starter were very yummy and really enjoyed the hot chicken parmesan main. I reckon the classic one might be a bit plain so worth getting a flavour.

We visited for the first time yesterday evening, the service was very efficient with very pleasant and polite, attentive staff. The food was delicious, and the portions were large. The waiter observed my left overs and brought a box politely enquiring if I would like to take it home - I didn't even need to ask. We will definitely be returning!

Came from 'down south' to eat Manjaros since people rave about it. Had eaten at another branch a long time back and wasn't hoping for much, but thought I would give it a go again. Whilst the venue and service were great, I would have been happier eating at Nandos which would have been tasty. The chicken did not taste of anything and was entirely dependent on the sauce providing it with flavour. The chicken parmesan didn't have a flavour and the only nice part was the chicken tikka pieces on top. The pizza we had was probably the best thing but even that would have been better from my local pizza place and cost less. Won't be back at Manjaros again unfortunately!

We was thinking it’s Portuguese restaurant (when I saw symbol Chicken ) and we was surprised it’s African and Caribbean food:) That was so unusual food for us, but so nice!! A lot of original sauce on top of the food makes meat so tender! Portions was quite large. So we couldn’t finish a salad:)) Stuff was very friendly, quick and well informed about all dishes. Want to have this restaurant in Lincoln too 😜😉

Visited as two couples. After being seated we felt a draught from the air conditioning. It was not a problem and we were moved to another table. Food was delicious and service was prompt and attentive. Nothing was a problem to the very pleasant and efficient staff who added to our enjoyment.
