Kaspa's Darlington in Darlington

Just ordered delivery today the new pistachio Kunafa crepe with fresh banana, the taste is horrible, the combination of the ingredients tasted so weird, and the crepe is so rubbery, very hard to chew! We just can’t eat, you can take it away!

Disappointed we ordered lemon meringue and cheesecake takeout and when we got home to enjoy them. The were stale and not very nice so in the bin they went. So not for us anymore. Only positive was it was ready at the collection time. The staff need some customer service training as they do not look happy as if it is your fault as the customer that they have to work there!

Great reception staff.m very Welcoming and humorous. Very bad experience with bar staff. No eye contact no welcome. Felt like I was bothering them for wanting to order. Worse than a robot that wants to go home. The ice creams were ok though.

This was the worst experience of my life! There was a huge bluebottle in my friends crepe and it was inside of it so didn’t just Land on the food. There was a very long hair on my waffle and the service was terrible! The staff were very rude reluctant to even let us in the restaurant. No communication between us and the waitress who slammed our food infront of us and did nothing but give nasty looks and stand next to our table and stare at us whilst we ate our food for the whole visit.

Deserts were nice but zero customer service, the lady literally threw the knife and fork on the table showing no respect at all The edge of plates were broken and again no consideration for the children that were with us

THIS PALACE NEEDS SHUT DOWN !!! Discrimination apparently isn’t allowed in the uk but they sure do discriminate there it was embarrassing to be told we couldn’t sit in but could get take away then to walking to the counter to order our dessert to take away for the so called big headed manager to say he’s not serving for who we are and being very unpleasant and not nice neither was the girls staff behind him when nobody give them any reason to and then when he realised we had recorded him he ran to the back kitchen to hide and realised he messed up honestly being English and spoke to and refused by people not even from uk is ridiculous if youse don’t like your job you don’t have to do it go home back to where you come from !!

Popped in for a coffee and dessert then coffee was lush and dessert very tasty will definitely Revisit and recommend you to give it a try

Literally scamming people Food so bland and sugary. price is way overprice on everything

I buy coffees from youse all the time and once I drop coffee outside shop took it bk and asked for the same as lid undone that's why it fell thought maybe they just replace it guess I was wrong charged me another 3.25 when I'd just seen 6 pounds on 2 cappuccinos greedy as won't be coming bk there now I know shat uouse are like anywhere else would of just replaces especially when I drop outside

Love this place, so many Deserts to choose from, the portions are very generous which reflects the prices. Seating area is lovely, staff friendly. Visited again on Saturday and the menu has been updated with some new additions. We spent £21 for 2 people which include 2 drinks and 2 deserts. I had waffle with fresh banana and mango with caramel sauce. My husband had the Cinnamon bites with white dipping chocolate, which was extremely nice and this was one of the new additions. My son had Kinder Bueno waffle with sauce and ice-cream. Kaspas is well worth a visit.

Of all the fast food dessert places nearest to me, Kaspa's definitely takes the cake (no pun intended), the staff are super friendly and they always manage to please me with their wide array of desserts, their Oreo Cookie Bash is a delicious cake and their ice creams are heavenly! I highly recommend them to those who are in the Darlington area.

Good place to go for something sweet and tasty where you can sit down and pig out. But the staff are miserable. Otherwise it'd be five stars.

Placed a click and collect order, arrived at the store on time, (the shop is a 25 minute drive from where I live) arrived and the shop was completely shut but my money had already been n taken out my account and it wasn’t a small order either, I then called and phone lines shut and also emailed where I got no response, the following day when the shop re opened I tried to call again and yet again no answer, therefore I had to drive AGAIN back to the shop another waste of fuel to get a refund and explain my situation in person, I got my refund in cash, and there was no apology or remorse for the inconvenience caused and the fuel wasted. I wouldn’t bother here.

Been here a few times. always get well looked after.front of house staff are really good,friendly and have good sense of humor.food is out of this world.best staff of all the kaspas I've been to.highly recommend coming on weekend.

The milkshakes and ice cream were delicious, but the prices are a bit steep. The customer service was excellent, staff were friendly and pleasant from the minute we walked in. Special shout out to Alina and Lali - thank you to you both for a fantastic experience!

I entered Kaspa’s in Darlington to escape from rain yesterday on June 28th just before 4pm and so glad that I did. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who took me to my table, handed me the menus and explained the ordering process. He was even patient enough to help me decide my gelato order. I will definitely be coming back more often as a gelato-addict.

The food was good but the prices are high for what you get. The staff is what really let the place down. Not friendly or welcoming, I don't think any staff smiled the whole time I was there which made the experience uncomfortable. Honestly looking at some other reviews seems like it wasn't just an "off day" for them. Don't think I'll be going back.

Rude customer service , she started to give attitude and wasn’t welcoming at all.Zero skills,why do they keep staff like that when she got this much of bad reviews???

awful customer service ordered two white cookie doughs and got one milk and they wouldn’t change it, cookie dough was horrible and sloppy looked raw not worth the money

Went there to collect a pistachio milk cake & rose milk cake and they ruin it by putting chocolate syrup over my pistachio milk cake. Told them i ordered last night and it wasn’t covered with their sickly chocolate syrup but manager and staff argued with me saying that’s how it comes look on the menu. Went on the menu and no where it states online that it’s covered in syrup after 5 minutes of him arguing with me he said I can come in to exchange one without it. Soon as I come in the staff all make faces at me and the manager proceeds to have a go at me saying look on the menu. Service here is absolutely terrible. They do not know how to speak to customers and they all have a seriously bad attitudes. Also the rose milk cake tasted off and went straight in the bin. I will never comeback here. When I first went in they gave me the display milk cake that was sat out for hours saying they “ran out” and “this is our last one” but when I complained they miraculously had one to exchange with me that was from the back. If you really are that lazy to give your customer fresh dessert then you should shut up shop.

Ordered crepe got waffle instead and waiters were rude about it when confronted ,they were boring and gave us attitude when we said please and thank you

Fantastic food, not very friendly service, not welcoming at all! Not clear you have to have to order at counter! Needs a bit of music for some atmosphere too.

Recently found Kaspers whilst visiting family in South Wales, and used it a couple of times when we were there. Been home for a week and then wife decided to take 2 of the grandchildren for a treat, very surprised at the difference in the quality and quantity between the two different franchises, Darlingtons outlet was far more generous with the fruit and toppings on both the waffles and sundaes 🍨. Will definitely be returning to the North Road Kaspers.

Just received this boba drink from Kaspas as a gift, delivery all on time, tastes very sweet, coffee and caramel yum!

It was fab. Lovely place to go for a treat or birthday etc. I had the most delicious banoffee pie sundae and my daughter had the cookies and cream sundae. Lots on the menu, even more on since we last went. Huge amount of hot and cold desserts and milkshakes and bubble tea etc. My only complaint would be the music. There were covers playing, one of them being a post malone song where they sang the f word repeatedly. Not suitable at all for children or any age at an ice cream parlour. Apart from that, it's a lovely place to go. The staff were all happy and helpful and welcoming and shouted goodbye as we left. I'm sure it was genuinely a mistake with the music.

We ordered two different sundaes which were both very nice. The other deserts and cakes looked great, and the place was nice and clean. Staff spoil an otherwise decent place.

I was really looking forward to these puddings but the server couldn’t speak any English at all, and there was so much dirt and grime everywhere and for £8 a desert I expect quality, which was not delivered they completely forgot about my partners food and by the time his had arrived all of my ice creme had melted and mine was cold. The hygiene side of this place is appalling will not be coming back.

Hear me out I've never been to kaspers planning on to tho but people leaving 1 star reviews are talking about what they did like "sit in or takeaway" is a mandatory question on which is needed to be informed of. And someone pushing to get a seat at the door?! Like come on if the place was practically empty as you said SIT SOMEWHERE ELSE poor owner gotta put up with all this.

No notification received for missing item. And then it was an absolute crime to ask if they had gelato. Got Gelato after being given some dirty looks and attitude for asking about it. And then stating how she had been polite, even though I never had an issue. What a joke. Grow up girl.

Really tasty crepes waffles and shakes nice for a treat as a family of 5 it gets a little expensive but the portions are big so next time we will share

Ordered through Deliveroo. Crepes should be thin, not thick like a pancake. Cold, so they where rather chewy. Disappointed. Teach your staff the difference between a pancake and a crepe. They are not the same.

Fast service and good quality food

Appalling service when I took my son yesterday for an afternoon treat. I had to push for a table near the door as we were originally declined this option as it was a 4 person seating and we were 2. I politely pointed out that the restaurant was practically empty and would be happy to move if the was an influx of groups. The 'greeter' chucked the menus on the table and stormed off. When I went up to order at the counter she stood glowering at me, arms crossed, while I placed my order with the lad serving. When she came to bring our drinks she once again slammed them down on the table and stormed off. Luckily they took the p* with portion sizes (see pic) so no spilled drinks. I appreciate people have their off days but this woman demonstrated a complete lack of interpersonal skills and made our experience completely unpleasant.

Dreadful customer service. Walked in. No greeting. No hello or welcome. Simply "eat in or takeaway" not a great start. Taken to the table where we started to pick our desserts. No easy task when with two kids. Just about to order when the person that took us to the table and 'greeted' us decided that this was the time to tell us that the ice cream parlor, known for its ice cream and sundaes, did not have any ice cream and wouldn't be able to do over half of the menu.. No apologies or even politeness. Just a rather rude woman who clearly didn't want to be there. Will not be back.

Me and my friend went for the first time. When we walked in the door we were greeted and walked to our table with menus. We assumed that by this, it was table service, as the staff didnt say anything. We waited 20mins, for our orders to be taken until we saw someone going to the counter to order. Maybe they should say when they seat you, that you order at the counter because being seated, gives the idea of table service. Anyway food was really nice but staff werent really friendly.

Food was really great and delicious 🤤 but the customer service was very bad, greeting the customers with a smiling face is the most crucial part in service, especially the Europe lady with black hair was very rude and seriously they need a lecture from the top management, however i will be ordering through online but won't walk in again

I love kaspas the employees are nice and a ice cream sundae Is huge! I recommend the bubblicous because the blue and pink ice cream us amazing! The songs are good and going in there smells amazing. This is what my 8 year old thinks, we have been a few times now and although it's a bit sickly for me my kids love the place 🙂

Food was very nice little sickly and very expensive in my eyes. Wouldn't go back as not a massive sweet fan but that's my opinion. If you like sweet dessert then this is the place for u.

Me and my partner are allergic to certain fruits , bandanna and kiwi , we ordered gelato which was fine , crepes which were also fine , and we ordered a daim milkshake which wasn't daim but is a purple colour and tastes fruity ! I called and explained everything else was fine just not the milkshake , to which the foreign woman on the phone was really rude and called me a liar , there really isn't anything to lie about , most of the order was perfect but the milkshake was wrong !! Absolute joke how rude she was!!!!!

I tell you what i had bubble gum ice cream and geez the flavor in that small paper tray was delightful

Outstanding quality and experience in every way! My brother and I have made it a weekly tradition now. You will not regret going, especially if you get the hot fudge sundae!

I have to admit after reading some of the reviews I was actually a little put off coming here! However we took our daughter as she has been begging us to go and I'm so pleased we did. The young lad who was at the door and showed us to our seats was really friendly and welcoming. When ordering the guy behind the counter was again really friendly and polite. We got our desserts and milkshakes and wow! My partner couldn't even finish his (and thats definitely a first lol) they were really tasty and fresh ,definitely worth the money. We will definitely be back. So thank you to the staff as you made our 8 year old daughter very happy.
