Regular visitor, always have a coffee and something to eat. Today treated myself to beef chilli nachos, which had a really lovely salsa and a large latte. Everything was nice and the lady serving was so cheerful, polite and genuine. Only down side I was sat by the door which allows a cold draft in every time it opened (was warned by the lady, but no other spaces free). Could use a divider or something to protect customers at that table. Recommend a visit.

Lovely sunny summer afternoon. Surly unhelpful staff. Took 30 mins to get served then they say they are shutting 'soon'. It's 3.30pm, your website says 5pm, 4pm and you are clearing up around me in the outside area and packing the seating away!

Why bother putting your opening hours on line if they are wrong. Went today at 4pm to be told they were closing. I pointed out their website said 5pm closing. The girl said upstairs is open till 10pm. If id wanted to go upstairs, I would have done

I had a terrible experience after being spoken to very aggressively by an oriental waitress after there was a misunderstanding about my order. This person needs training in customer care and people skills. I won't be going back!

Frequent visitor - at least a couple of times of week for coffee or something to eat, sometimes glass of wine. Fantastic staff.....with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Food lovely. In a great location - has a lovely outdoor area in the summer. Highly recommend.

Number one meet up place in Darlington. Reasonable food and drink prices, no hurry to leave and warm friendly atmosphere.

Poor. Weren't offering breakfast on Sunday morning and didn't know when the chef was coming in. Very hard to find a menu too

Visited this morning with two friends we all had a English breakfast, I was enjoying it until I cut into a hash brown and found a hair, I was quite upset about this and told the lady behind the counter, who was very polite and helpful and alerted the chef. The female chef then came down to see the problem and then spoke down to me with an attitude and stated that it was fluff not hair. But when I pulled the pictures out I had taken she then changed what she said by saying "well I don't have black hair I'm blonde" how's just a simple apology next time and no attitude? I wasn't being rude I stated I had found a hair in my food. The manager was very friendly and very apologetic. I wasn't offered anything for my inconvenience, so I just left it, my friend on the other hand did receive a full refund as she also found 2 hairs on her plate and didn't really eat any of her breakfast.

Stopped at the Premier Inn round the corner and upon arriving in Darlington wanted a coffee. Found this little gem, nice outside seating for the other half who smokes, great place to people watch and the coffee, smoothie and staff were great.

Good food, nice outdoors seating with the view of the square, friendly service. I came by on a Wednesday lunchtime. I’ve ordered the chicken parmesan listed under the large plates (since I didn’t want a sandwich, salad, nor a burger which seems to be the average menu item in most restaurants here during lunch)… this plate of super cheesy chicken and large salad came by.

We had two of the big breakfasts, the food was nice and the weather bad when sat outside in the wind and rain, but the man serving us was great!! Amazing customer service he really looked after everyone sat outside. It was at 11am on the 4th May! Cafe is veggie and vegan and also dog friendly! Make sure to visit when JP is working! He will look after you

Wonderful food and pleasant staff. Would highly recommended the Classic Breakfast and the coffee is good too.

My husband and I called in today for lunch ,which I'm sorry to say was tasteless ,the leek and potato soup was tasteless as was the so called mature cheese in the sandwich .please don't advertise mature cheddar when it's not ,we were even given a dirty spoon with which to stir our tea .not somewhere we will being going back to .

Food can take quite a long time to come. However, It is quite reasonably priced and there is a wide variety on the menu.

Been today waited 30 minutes for food which did not come - very disappointing
