Absolutely worst example of customer service - most rudest staff you can imagine that must be working in the hospitality industry. They treat you like sh** (especially if you are brown skinned!). The food was terrible and exorbitantly priced as well. The only good thing about the place is it's a good location. Avoid this restaurant unless you want to ruin your mood and feel very degraded.

I was visiting London for the very first time. I went from Italy to meet my wife who works in London. We went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It was around 7.30 in the evening (it was a sunny day). They asked us to finish our dinner early because the person taking care of the table had to go home early. This spoiled my mood, but we decided to stay and enjoy the dinner. I ordered some very common Indian snacks. I was told that those were not available, and we had to choose something else. When I asked that if you have written then it should be there. The waiter got mad at me, literally snatched the menu out of my hand, and asked me to leave where I could find the items I chose. I was astonished and walked out of the restaurant. His poor behavior spoiled the mood of our entire birthday. If I go to London again, I will never choose this substandard restaurant where they don't know how to treat customers.

Excellent food. Try the lamb chops appetizer (with beetroot puree, so good!!). Great, attentive service. Very reasonable prices, especially considering the quality.

Absolute S** hole !!!!!!! Baddest customer service from the time we moved in. Worst experience ever from servers to manager absolute RUDE and bad customer service, reached at 7.45-7.50 pm and from time we reached they just want to rush kept saying we close at 9 non stop.. ordered poppadoms with drinks and came with mains after 1 hour, all the guys keep coming to our table may be 10 times asking r u ready for mains as we close kitchen , we spoke to staff more than our friends. Too much to write here .. One word AVOID !! NEVER going back.. You want to ruin your evening please go and dine there. This spot is just a spot where food is served on the name of fine dine but its tasteless and worth for nothing

We had to see some important clients in Canary Wharf earlier in the week. We booked this restaurant as they expressed a liking for indian food and the location was perfect. We arrived ten minutes early, and the waiter very kindly pointed us to a parking place very near. The restaurant was split into two, with the ground floor serving Italian food and the upstairs serving Indian food. It was modern and clean and was right on the wharf, with expensive yachts parked on the Quay. The menu was very, very extensive, with some dishes I had not heard of before. We ordered a cross-section of vegetarian and meat/chicken dishes. These dishes turned up almost immediately, and none of them were freshly prepared. We got the impression everything was just reheated. None of the food was hot, not even the nan breads or Roti. The service was very amateur, though friendly enough. There were a total of five of us eating. Three of the others shared a bottle of Rioja, one had a beer, and we used three bottles of water. No one wanted a dessert. The food was cheap for the area, but it would have been much better to increase the prices and also the quality. The menu should (in our opinion) be reduced to a manageable length size so that it could all be prepared properly. The total bill was just under £200 and 12.5% service charge was added, making it £222. There were not a lot of clients in either the Indian of Italian parts of the restaurant, though our booking qas early at 6.30pm (leaving at 9pm) When we left we thought what a shame, for such a nicely presented venue, in a unique setting.

Excellent food and service. Staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Prawns on the starter menu were absolutely amazing.

We had a delicious meal at the Loughton venue. We thought the satnav was taking us to completely the wrong place but it is at the end of a retail park! Plenty of parking. Food seems to be cooked to order so be prepared for a bit of a wait, esp if the restaurant is busy. However, well worth the wait. I had paneer bhuna with pilao rice - heavenly! Lots of great choices including dosa and other south indian delights.

Amazing food and great service. You must try the pakora cashew nuts and the Railway lamb curry which weee both excellent.

We have had dinner twice at Manjal (Canary Wharf), and on both the occasions, we were delighted with the delicious food and the outstanding service! You must check out the Southern Railway Lamb curry, Paneer Bhurji, Malabar parathas and the Mango lassi! Mr. Shakeel and his team were outstanding!

Me and my wife booked this allready back in Sweden to be sure to have a table. Location Off the track Down in finance district. Slightly disappointed with the service, the first waiter who tried to serve was so rude as kept interrupting when we had told we will inform once we are ready to order. Manjal Indian restaurant is most probably one of the best restaurants in East London - however being exposed to a very loud and ab noxious party upstairs diminishes the overall experience - still the food quality outweighs most shortcomings.

We went for the Valentines menu. The staff are really attentive but I think they should have one waiter handling the table because our order was mixed up. I ordered a lamb main but got something vegetarian and it felt like they forgot our dessert. Either way, the dessert was slow coming even though we had 3 different waiters approach our table asking what we were waiting for.<br /><br />The address on Opentable needs to be updated.<br /><br />It&#039;s not easy to find.<br /><br />But I thought the food tasted great.

Excellent food as usual, but the service was a bit slow. A bit on the expensive side for a place of this kind. The new location is an upgrade with views over the South Dock, but not easy to find. Please update the address in OpenTable (and probably other services too).

We booked on Open Table and had confirmation. When we got to the restaurant, it had moved to another address. We walked the 15 mins to the new address and there was no restaurant there. This was our New Year’s Eve dinner out so spoilt our evening. Open Table should have correct and up to date information. I can’t understand how we got a confirmed booking at a non-existent restaurant.

Food was good quality and service was good. Challenge was that everything I selected was hot even classically mild dishes. I’d not rush back. This is personal thing - if ok with hot food it’s good.

The food was ok and the portions were quite big. My starter was very spicy despite not having any chilli peppers next to it on the menu.What I didn't like was being presented with the bill without asking for it. The waiter brought us the bill and the card machine to charge immediately, so I didn't get the chance to have a good look at the bill and make sure everything was ok.

The room was prepared and tables dressed for my guests arrival. We were greeted and had drink orders taken promptly. Service was never intrusive and our food was flavourful. We were made to feel right at home.The restaurant is over two floors and both are laid out well with a bar on each. We were in the function room upstairs. This is a very clean and well presented restaurant. The toilets are also in very good order.Thank you to Antonio, Manu and all the staff who helped make our evening so much fun. This restaurant is near Canary Warf, I would say that this is one of the places that serves good Indian food. Do book a table before you think of rushing there as they usually are full.Simple decor, friendly staff, service needs improvement. Check your order as they are prone to mess it up sometimes.When I say "Good Indian Food" i mean the real taste, the blend of spices that makes an Indian cuisine what it is. Many restaurants anglosises the dishes which looses its originality. In here I didn't find that. I and my wife were very happy with the food.

Been here multiple times, however I must say that the food is good but the service was always a let down. But on our last visit we noticed several new faces and the service levels have gone way up. Overall experience was much much better .. Mr Antonio was also very welcoming and took a genuine interest in ensuring that we were comfortable.
