I liked this place & the staff were inviting, serving good food

Great food and friendly service, though we did have to wait almost an hour for four reasonably simple dishes (avocado toast, eggs on toast, etc.) The kitchen is also right next to the seating area, so it was quite noisy with staff handling dirty dishes quite violently when cleaning!

Fabulous cafe with delicious, beautifully presented food and excellent service. I would always tip good service so had absolutely no qualms about accepting the service charge, which was explained to me by the lovely front of house lady who offered to remove it if we wished. Thank you for a perfect brunch.

Excellent service, excellent brunch

Nice food but unfortunately any eatery importing this ridiculous American idea of adding a "default service charge" to your bill so they can keep prices on the menu deceptively low deserves a 1 star review. If the business needs more money raise the prices printed on the menu, don't rely on the British public being too awkward to say no to an extra 10% charge. It's appallingly bad manners and should stay on the other side of the Atlantic. Used to go there often, don't anymore since they started doing this. If they change this I'd happily change my review (and go back to regular visits).

Nice cafe right on the Quay with good cakes and milkshakes.

We had a great breakfast here - well cooked fresh ingredients in an interesting and relaxed vibe place, right on the quayside. Service was great!

Beautifuly located along the Quay and plenty of seating indoors. Would recommend booking ahead to make sure you get a table. We didn't book ahead, but it was getting quite busy. The service was very attentive and helpful. Food and coffee was delicious. I enjoyed the veggie breakfast and a cappuccino.

I went for breakfast at Mango today with my friend. It was superb! I had the veggie breakfast & it was so tasty! The staff were so friendly. We will definitely go again 😃

Such a GREAT place and catered for my allergies without ANY fuss! Food was perfect, drinks were stunning and the service was beyond! It's VERY rare to get such genuinely great service from people who seem to enjoy their job! Already desperate to go back...!

Food and service was lovely but am annoyed I've been charged a service charge without being forewarned. It was not showing amongst the details on the contractless screen. Will not be returning.

We had a lovely breakfast here during our stay in Exeter. Lovely location on the quay, even managed to sit outside in the sunshine on a warm March Sunday! Excellent, attentive service from the super young staff. Delicious, quirky food, the most lovely avocado on toast ever! Lovely coffee. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again and worth the lovely walk down to the quay.

Disappointed with the farmers breakfast - the beans were watery and tasteless and the poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs! There is also a 10% surcharge

Today we had brunch at @mangosexeter 🥳 I am not sure how this place has escaped me so far because the food it’s DELICIOUS 🙌🏻 I had the FARMERS BREAKFAST (Smoked bacon, Devon pork sausage, roasted tomato, mushroom, grilled chorizo chunks, spiced beans, & poached eggs) which hopefully I am having again very soon! 🔥🥳 I would also like to mention how lovely & friendly the staff were! 👍

Decent quality food,albeit quite small portions. BEWARE 10% surcharge is added to the bill for service.we did not see any warning of this on the menu. Despite this there was also a bowl on the bar for additional tips!! For the above reason we will not be returning.

Rude and pretentious member of staff. 45 minutes wait for food. If you want to be talked down to then that is the place to go (at least that was my experience with one member of staff).

What a lovely little cafe on the Quay! We were shown to our table and waited on hand and foot by Mimi and the rest of the excellent team. Highly recommend the s’mores hot chocolate and the cappuccino! We had a big slice of delicious coffee and walnut cake too. Will be returning!

had cream tea here with my friend. we went late but got the last two cream tea and they were so delicious. I had cream tea at different places, but this one was particularly nice and tasty. Staff were nice and kind there, we had a good time. Thank you.

Friendly staff and good choices of drinks

Lovely place for brunch with a variety of food options and drinks. They cater well for gluten free and coeliac - I had the brunch with smoked salmon which was delicious (only downside is the gf bread is a lot smaller than the normal option so not as good value as the sourdough but was delicious). Would definitely recommend! They also have a good selection of gluten free and normal cakes.

Love this café! Everybody who works here is so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. I’m not really a coffee lover but this is the one place I would 100% order a coffee every time, it’s delicious. I would recommend this place to everybody. A plus it’s doggie friendly too 🎉🐕

Nice little spot of all day brunch with a couple of nice vegan options 😁 The tea cake is particularly delicious. The oatly creme cheese and pesto panini was really good 👍

....well unfortunately it didn't work out for us. Our sweet pieces were little more than simple chocolate bars stuck together that were just super fattening and tasted like nothing but fattening sweetness. We really regretted spending a lot of money on it. Maybe it was just our personal taste. Drinks and service were ok. Friendliness so average. However, the location on the Quay is great.

I've been here several times. The food and service is excellent and it's in a nice location at the Quay area. Today I had waffles and iced cappuccino- even though it wasn't on the menu, they made it for me and I was very pleased. In the past I had the cream tea, which is the nicest I've had. Fresh and fluffy and I always bring any visitors here to try it as well. You have to, if you visit Devon, right?

I had no expectations but it had turned out to be a fantastic place! Food is fabulous! Would definitely visit again while staying in Exeter.

It's always great here. Food is consistently fantastic, and the service is consistently excellent. Dog friendly and children friendly. I'd recommend booking as it tends to get busy quickly.

Had a fantastic breakfast in here on Saturday. Kylee and her team are amazing, and the coffee is wonderful!

Great breakfast, all staff happy and helpful. We had Kylee taking care of us and she couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely chilled atmosphere! Bonus that they allow dogs! Will definitely be returning.

I strongly recommend this place. The location is fantastic, especially when the weather allows you to sit outside, or alternatively enjoy the charming intimate atmosphere indoors. Booking in advance is highly recommended due to its popularity. The staff are consistently welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.

If I could put no stars I would. A lovely weekend in Exeter so far, but this ruined it all. Rude staff and patronising, not a great experience. A shame, as we have heard only good things.

This place had quite the wait, but it was worth it for the delicious food we had! Wonderful location right next to the water too. Definitely recommend trying their sweet avocado toast, or the smoked salmon bagel!

Every time I come here I always have an unreal meal. The waitresses are so nice (management give them all a raise!). I came here today and was craving a scrambled egg and bacon crossiant which wasn’t on the menu but they were so accommodating. I often come here after a run and their juices are also soo good. Best brunch in Exeter ❤️

Decent coffee and food but overpriced for the quality and size of the portions. Obviously their terrace is amazing but if it’s too cold to sit outside I would go someplace else.

A friend had the cream tea which he said was excellent. I myself had a thick shake as did another friend and they were really nice. Properly fruit and cream, not just a pre made juice mixed in with milk. Nice location and really nice inside.

Beautiful quay front location.. lovely staff sat me very quickly, allowed me to charge my phone and relax.. waitress brought my pint to me and was a lovely local beer DevonRock which i thourouly enjoyed.. did not have food but would definitely return.. would recommend for a nice pint after a busy day in the city 👌❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came here with some friends yesterday for a nice lunch. A nice simple menu with anything from breakfasts to paninis, and also a wide selection of baked treats. The panini I had was very nice and the other members of my party enjoyed their own meals too (soup of the day, full breakfast and a brownie). This place also is full table service which is nice for a cafe, and it is also very well located right by the water on the Quay, so weather permitting you have a very nice view. The only thing I'd say is that it was a little expensive: my ice tea was £3.50 and panini £8.50, so keep that in mind, yet the quality of the food made up for it considering it was a special occasion.

Haven’t been here for years, and not since it’s changed hands but I was impressed with how much better the place looks, the staff were really friendly and our coffee & cake was lovely! Came here again and had their breakfast, it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The spiced beans and chorizo was a nice touch to a traditional English Breakie!

We LOVE Mango's. We visit frequently and I've been meaning to leave a review for ages! Fabulous food, amazing coffee and the atmosphere is always great. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Your typical cafe with the usual choice of hot drinks and eats. But I definitely enjoyed the fact that it's spacious has some outdoor seating, and staff who are young and enthusiastic about their job.

Had a bacon sandwich and daughter had a sausage one. It was delicious, friendly service and great atmosphere. Will definitely go back.

Lovely staff. Amazing salads (I had burrata and he had Asian salad) yum smoothies. Super dog friendly. Nice and clean toilets. Great spot for lunch. Only wish we were there of an evening as I imagine it would be super fun at night!

I recently visited Mango’s for the first time and had the best experience! My husband and I took my parents for breakfast, each getting something different and everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. I also ordered a flat white and it was delicious. The service was friendly and hit that balance of checking in enough without being over attentive. The patio was full and at first I thought this might be a bit of a disappointment but the inside of the restaurant is really beautiful and only added to the experience. This place is must for anytime spent at the Quay.

Had a fab lunch here on a busy Saturday, we called in the morning and they were able to squeeze in our reservation. All the staff were super polite and friendly, the service was very attentive despite being busy. The menu is small but spot on, there was something for everyone in our group. They were also able to make changes to accommodate dietary needs too. Everything is priced well, I would definitely recommend the carrot cake- delish!
