Turtle Bay Exeter in Exeter

I recently visited Turtle Bay, and while the food was decent, the experience was far from satisfactory overall. The cocktails were a major letdown — they were filled with so much ice that there was barely any drink! It felt like I was paying for an overpriced glass of ice with just a hint of alcohol. Definitely not worth the money. The food was actually quite good, but the portion sizes were smaller than expected. For the prices they're charging, I was hoping for something more substantial. Overall, the quality of the food doesn't make up for the disappointing drinks and small portions. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Lily our waitress was great, always checking we had drinks as attendees for Bottomless Brunch. The food was lovely too. 1st time attending Turtle Bay we will definitely be back..

Overall a good place to eat in, took some time to have my order taken when I first got there which was frustrating, but once Yogini took my order it was good from there starter and drinks arrived quickly and the main soon after that. The place is also really nice with caribbean inspired decoration and music. Portion size was on the smaller end for a main but with a pint of beer you’ll probably feel full by the end of your meal. Taste wise I thought it was good, the spiced fries were tasty the slaw and the jerk chicken was good and the bbq jerk sauce on the table was also really good Yogini was very friendly throughout and made sure to tell me if any drinks weren’t available so I could select a different one

We visited on the 19th of September at dinner time and had an amazing experience! Our meals were fantastic and we also enjoyed a bunch of cocktails to go with them. All of the staff had a smile on their faces and were attentive and friendly, especially Alisha who went above and beyond to make sure we were well-accommodated and even recommended cocktails for us to try. The crispy chilli squid starter is amazing and definitely try the beach Zombie sundowner. We had a great late anniversary meal thanks to Turtle Bay. Thank you so much and if we’re ever back in Exeter (which I’m sure we will be in the future) we will 100% visit again!

Went to Turtle Bay Exeter for birthday celebrations and had a great time! Lilly took great care of us and made sure we had a great experience!

As always great food and the waitress we had was lovely , very friendly and personable . Katie was knowledgeable as to the menu items and gave us good and helpful info as to our menu choice on the day . Our only issue was we had hoped for some space as the tables around us were being filled to make it easier for the wait staff to see I believe howver in a square with several tables to choose from I am surprised we were all lined up thus meaning neither privacy or space for us as couples to enjoy. Food excellent and Katie was first rate in her waitress manner but the space issue I think could have made our meal more enjoyable. As a couple wanting to enjoy a birthday treat and some time together it was almost perfect in every way barring the fact we were squashed in like sardines ! See photos for the experience The seating area we were in could have been used differently, more effectively and would have enhanced our enjoyment Much more

Bar staff full of love bits and another member of staff sat behind the bar on the floor while people are sat at the bar and can clearly see. Very unattentive, had to ask to be served, beer warm and tasted like the lines hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Lots of other members of staff sat around on breaks etc, giving off a very unprofessional tone.

I recently attended Turtle Bay Exeter for a bottomless brunch and I was very happy with the service provided. Lily was very courteous, engaged in friendly banter with us and was efficient with making and delivering our drinks, noticing quickly when we needed another. I would definitely go back to this venue again if this service was repeated. Food and drinks were excellent too (in particular the mojito), however I do feel that the price of the bottomless brunch does need to be lowered back to £25. Keep it up.

Lovely food, great choice on the menu, but dreadful service. Extremely slow, so slow in fact I abandoned plans to get a dessert even though there was one on the menu that I really really wanted! The music was also far, far too loud for lunchtime.
