Pious Sushi & Bubble tea in Exeter

Absolutely wonderful place. Prices are reasonable, the amount of food is even too generous, people who work there are really welcoming and nice.

My family loooooove this place! We like the speed of service and most importantly the quality and variety of the food! My 9 year old son says the sashimi/nigiri is the best food ever and this experience has led him to try more exotic cuisine! My other son enjoys the variety of hot dishes on the menu and is working his way through trying them all! We come here whenever we need a treat. We wish there were more Pious locations around the area…! The Brixham supplied fish is the best ! The chefs/staff are very friendly and remember us and what we like to eat. A very positive experience all around.

Excellent sushi! Finally a top quality, fresh fish, delivered every morning! Really nice and cozy space, fun to meet people, owners are really chatty!

Unfortunately, the sushi is not up to the same standards as the restaurant even itsu a big chain, unfortunately. Lots of advertisement and pictures show a different thing as you can see in the pictures. Not even Instagram post are the not the real thing that they actually do in their Takeaway. Unfortunately, me and my work mates used to come quite a lot until the till the quality got worse. As you can see in the pictures it’s worse than the supermarkets like Waitrose. We fought we give it a go tonight and see if there’s any has changed since the last six months. unfortunately it’s still the same. For people that don’t know anything about sushi they may think this is really good and great value. but but unfortunately anyone that knows anything about sushi from the motherland on the quality probably not the best. The Rechet of salmon and avocado is very poor.

Nice staff, serving sushi, sashimi, rice bowls, bubble tea and a few other things. No real option for eat in, so for take away really. Chef is careful what is served, if quality of ingredients is not up to standard willing to remove dishes. Generally I buy sushi and enjoy it. Don't believe the menu price, checkout price is always lower when I buy in store.

It's tucked away in an alley but definitely worth a visit if you like sushi. Amazing food, especially for the price point, and the two Polish staff members I chatted with were very pleasant. I'll definitely be going back.

The bubble teas are to die for!!!

This place is really good they give you lots of tapioca pearls in your drink compared to other places. The sushi is really fresh and delicious, and the rice is really well done and perfect. I really recommend this place as I have been going since it opened.

Just had a delicious takeaway with my lovely girlfriend sharing a mix of Sushi and hot food. Everything was freshly made and most important it was delicious! Highly recommend 5stars!

The tastiest sushi I ever had really fresh and love the bubble tea

Amazing fresh sushi at a really reasonable price. Recommend the salmon nigiri, it is melt-in-your-mouth tasty. Super friendly staff, the shop is small and a bit of a squeeze so recommend ordering off the app and collecting. Tried the bubble tea too; the staff gave recommendations of what best to try first, so ask them.

Partner and I came here on a whim and we were not disappointed. Great little sushi place, bao buns were perfect and the gyōzas were excellent. Sushi was great and the chicken was spot on. Big menu, looks like caters to everyone and service as great. Don't go to Yo Sushi, come here!

Easy and convenient way to get sushi on the go. Most importantly the fish and sushi here is very fresh and tasty. Plenty of pre-made choices of nigiri and rolls, with and larger of items that are freshly made quickly when ordered. The staff are very friendly and more than happy to assist with ordering. Very clean inside and out. Would recommend and visit again

Had lovely food - Korean fried chicken with sweet chilli was so good and so were the prawn gyoza dumplings and all the sushi! So fresh and great prices. We had a takeaway but there was space to sit in. The service was amazing too - Sylvia is lovely

I have to say it's the best sushi in Exeter. Possibly the best I've tried. The staff are just wonderful and friendly! I have been in every week since opening. I've found the price of the sushi, considering how good it is, it's really reasonable. Excellent value. I'm not sure I can express how good this sushi is!.

We went here first as it was recommended to us by a fellow foodie. Finally real fresh sushi! We've had takeaway now 4 times and the quality is always first class. The place is clean and professional.

Best sushi we’ve ever had! (And we’ve eaten a lot in a lot of places!) we’re a family of 5 whose favourite food is sushi. Shame we’re just passing. We had to come back for more before setting off home. Great pairing with bubble tea too, it would be our perfect place to eat lunch, if we were local. Great friendly service too. Thanks

What a find!!! I often treat my daughters to a bubble tea each when in Exeter but this place beats the rest. The service is faultless, with smiles and recommendations. The ordering process and the layout on the screen was super easy to use. Even though you order on a screen, you still feel included and acknowledged. Definitely returning again soon, will try the sushi next time. I noticed they also offer chicken bites, tempura prawns amongst other delights for those non sushi lovers! Best sushi in Exeter and excellent service.

Really rude member of staff who doesn't understand customer service. Went there to pick up the Too Good to Go. I know the mantra is a surprise bag which is all good, but I have picked up from dozens of other locations and if you are the first there and there are different bags, then they will happily swap something out. Not so in here. I was the first there. The shelf was packed with items and I requested to change the chicken because none of us eat it. I was flat out refused with an impatient, condensing 'it is called a surprise bag'. I asked again, explaining why, but the staff member just walked away, not even prepared to answer.

We have become regulars at this lovely place in Exeter and I can say that it isn't just because of the high quality and freshness of their Sushi , food and products but also the quality of their service, their charisma and warmth customer service. As sushi fans we had to try their Sashimi and it's absolutely fresh...it melts in your mouth! The tuna and salmon cuts are super tender and absolutely delicious! The informality of their business and warmth makes it a unique option in town to sit for a bite or visit for a takeaway 👍! Me and my girlfriend highly recommend it!

Really excellent sushi. They’re taking advantage of Exeter’s proximity to Brixham and its fresh fish markets and you can taste it in the food. I’d highly recommend the salmon and avocado rice bowl. Decent prices too! Small shop with only three seats so I’d suggest taking away.

Absolutely delicious food and really friendly staff. Ordered the salmon nigiri, wakame salad and a winter melon tea. All were delicious, generously portioned and well presented. The couple running the shop couldn’t do enough for us and explained that the fish is delivered fresh everyday. Can’t wait to come back
