food came really quickly, and i would absolutely recommend getting the chicken and mushroom fried rice, then combine it with a tub of their curry sauce. the combination had me yelling so many expletives my housemates became concerned for my well being. incredible meal, and their prawn crackers are to die for.

I placed an order for crispy shredded beef but was unfortunately disappointed with the quality and the quantity. I had previously enjoyed this dish a few years ago and found it to be much better. In the past, I have held Mandarin Chef in high regard under the previous ownership. However, the food has changed significantly, and the prices have doubled. The samosas were predominantly batter with minimal filling. Regrettably, we were dissatisfied with our dining experience.

Ordered from here for the first time a couple weeks ago and already been back again. It's lovely food, really enjoyed it, will defo be going back again 😋

My favourite Chinese ever. They are so lovely as well and sometimes deliver outside of the area when we can’t collect. 10/10 recommend to everyone

Didn't knownof this place on weekend trip to Blackpool but was recommended, was quite disappointed one of the price of food and the wait for the food, we won't be going again on our next trip :(

Had a chicken and sweetcorn soup. The piece of sweetcorn were bitter. The bean sprouts in my chicken chow mein also tasted bitter. And my king prawns Smelled and also tasted funnyAnd the rice was staleI won't be ordering from you guys again sorryIt's not the first

Absolutely gorgeous Tastes amazing and definitely good value for money and delivery was 22mins early im very impressed, the 3 in 1 was delicious and had plenty of sauce, crispy shredded beef was also really nice I will definitely order again

I received a pamphlet for Mandarin Chef through my letterbox and spontaneously decided to give it a try. I’m very fussy with Chinese takeaways but I was pleasantly surprised. Mandarin chef serves large portion sizes, and their food is always of the best quality. It always tastes fresh and flavourful. I usually get crispy shredded beef, peking style prawns or chicken, vegetable chow mien and salt & pepper chips. I would highly recommend all of these dishes and it’s the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in Leicester by far! The delivery is also very quick and the delivery drivers are always polite and have a positive attitude. Thank you to the staff and owners at Mandarin Chef for demonstrating the best customer service and food at all times!

Tonight I ordered lemon chicken and rice but the chicken was very stringy and tough which was impossible to eat, this was my first time using them and will be my last very disappointed.

First time using this and we went for the set menu for 3 with chow mein and salt and chilli chips and was delicious. Nice portions and few freebies to go with , will be definatly having chinese for breakfast in the morning :)

Often late cant meet delivery times

This was the first time we have used this takeaway. The food was excellent. Great friendly service from ordering to delivery. We will be using them again and very refreshing to find a great Chinese that is so close..... Delighted.

Been using for years. Gone downhill must be new management. And they sent a 250 ml skinny can of coke. Am gutted never using them again sorry

New management, first 2 meals went up £2. Tonight another £0.50. total increase of £2.50 in 6 weeks. Paid £11.70 tonight to delivery driver and got wrong meal! No answer from phone at 11.40. left 2 messages and informed them will take meal back tomorrow and expect a full refund. Won't be using them again and have used them for years. Need to get their act together. They brought is a correct fresh meal the evening after at a time that suited us. Couldn't apologise enough.

I honestly do not in the slightest with to order from you so no need for a discount Because I have seen what goes on! I have seen a member of staff who by the way is a child! Urinate at the side of the shop outside Then go back inside handling business without washing his hands! It’s vile and disgusting I’m not looking for a discount mate I’m looking for management to wise up and run his business properly & allow the driver to do the job properly without blaming him for your mistakes Don’t blame the drive for mixing up orders when it was you that cooked the entire meal wrong! You made the driver go back to swap orders he apparently mixed up Once he got there he found out one customer had the correct meal so how can it be a mix up YOU cooked the wrong meal for the other customer and blamed the driver!! It’s not on

I thought my food was quick and full of flavour definitely ordering again loved all of the custom because everyone was very polite

Usually I'd give 5 stars - not sure if management/chef has changed but we've been using Mandarin chef for ages and it's normally lovely. Tonight they got my order wrong twice, my son's omelette was in bits with much less chips, the prawn toast was overcooked and had virtually no prawns (previously loads of prawns), even the rice wasn't as nice. Hope it improves as this was a great Chinese

Got food poisoning from them recently, it sucks going through it and i wont be buying chinese ever again

I have been using this takeaway since the management changed about 7 years ago. I can't remember there ever being a single mistake or problem. The food here is also excellent and very well priced.
